I signed up for a 10x10 unit, but was given two 5x10 units instead. This was not clearly communicated with me before I made the purchase. It was also not clearly communicated that we had to type in our code before and after leaving our storage units, but we caught on eventually. However, the facility was very convenient in the mall, and the price was not too bad.

This site blamed me for damage to the vehicle and charged over $700 dollars against me. I showed them video that the damage was there when I picked up the vehicle and they still charged me. My lawyers will be notified and we will press forward on this matter.

WOW, this location of operations associated with UHAUL is the worse experience ever in 30 years of being a consumer! From no response of knowing if my hitch parts were shipped to the store. To the rude manager LYING to myself and my wife blatantly saying (I never said that) several times when questioning the parts/ installation dates and times. Trying to inflate a 3rd party price for an option of just paying for the hitch and wiring harness and going somewhere else for installation. Leaving numerous messages on the voicemail of the store and the manager's cellular phone, having to go to the store location personally and ask questions after waiting for a response over a 6 hour period.The store cancelled the appointment due to a certified installer personal family issue that came about, which I understand. When I inquired about another install date the manager said he had no idea. I have no idea how this place is still operational due to the incompetence that exists. Also there was another customer there venting about a separate issue. This is the Beaver Valley Mall location in Monaca Pennsylvania. After finally getting the hitch installed I was not compensated with a inconvenience discount of any kind. I will be leaving a bad review and possibly a BBB report , patronize at your own discretion.

Multiple signs at drop off to stay in vehicle and wait for assistance during business hours. I waited for 15 minutes before going on to the location. They didn't check vehicle but just took the keys. If no one is going to monitor the drop off location they should have signs that say you should go into the store.

Not secure because the workers can get into the sheds. Staff is good with the exception of Nick C. He has problems he needs to solve before coming to work dealing with people. No customer should have to deal with his attitude and as far as the reviews which I just recently read because I had to leave one. He is a hot topic on the minus side but still allowed to treat customers like dirt. Must be related to someone big.

My wife went in there as a first time renter looking for help and the store manager acted like we where a complete bother to them very rude would not recommend these guys to anyone worst customer experience I ever had usually don’t do these surveys but the guys at this place where assholes tell them to get there heads out of there assess and show the customer a somewhat better of an experience or at least help help if where a bother maybe go work somewhere else’s

Put the fuel in the truck that you charged the previous customer. Especially this location because there is a gas station within the property. I spent $130 on fuel just to leave. It was showing 50 miles to empty and I didn't know how big the tank was. I returned it with 7/8 of a tank. That was a lot more than the 1/8 or less than I got it at. Remove pads and 2 wheel dolly when not required by customer. It takes up wall space that can be needed.

I had called early enough (well over a month-2 months) requesting a 20 ft. truck and we rec'd a 26 ft. I appreciate them only charging us for the 20 ft. however was too big for our needs. Next year we may try Chippewa if the size can't be guaranteed

The staff was helpful. The truck steering wheel had excessive play, made steering tricky. The handle to tighten the strap on the appliance dolly would engage to lock into tightened position.

They "transposed numbers" on the return mileage and charged us almost double, we had to drive back to the store to get it addressed because I waited on hold forever with U-Haul corporate with no answer because there's no way to directly contact the store. So we went back and got treated like idiots until the manager walked out to the vehicle to see it was, in fact, their error. They never apologized for the mistake or how they treated me. They supposedly initiated a refund but couldn't provide us any proof or receipt, and the manager was playing around on his phone then announced "all set!" so now I'm just waiting to see if we actually get a refund, and I have no actual proof that they screwed up and charged us an extra $83! I will avoid U-Haul at all costs in the future based on this experience.

Filled up the tank to where it was when we got the truck. My fiancé even took a picture of the gas gauge and we were still charged for gas. Not happy at all and will never recommend this location to anyone!

The receiving employee charged me a cleaning fee, no matter that I reported that the cabin was with cigarrete remains. He said that ge didn't find the report. I had to call the 800 number and an agent confirmed that i reported the issue and refund me.

The location was perfect and everything was clean. Unfortunately, the agent was very rude and not friendly which reminded me of why I moved away from Beaver County. The area is not friendly to African-American. The Valley is very racist.

Your guy that initially was supposed to assist me was very disinterested, He acted like I was bothering him! I asked a question. The question was can you hook up the trailer for me. Instead of a simple yes. He said …."I have to ". I almost left ! On the other hand when I returned it the guy received me very cordially and like I was a customer . He was helpful and had a brain!

Reserved an 8x10 storage unit at the Beaver Valley Mall location on 04/21/2024 to begin on 05/18/2024. When I arrived at the location at the start of my rental date, the associates did not know what I was talking about when I said I had a reservation and referred to reservations as a "glitch in the system" and that they "don't really reserve a unit". They offered me 2 5x10 units to be a total of 10x10 space, the 5x10 units were advertised in the store at $65/mo, and I received an email to start charging $125/mo after the first month with the rental truck promotion, which they also did not offer and asked when my most recent truck rental was and I let them know I currently was renting a U-haul truck. I originally reserved an 8x10 unit quoted at $95. When I moved my stuff in, I only utilized one 5x10 unit. When I went to cancel the second 5x10 unit, the manager Nick Cumpston said they were unable to cancel one unit because in the system it is reserved as one 10x10 unit. I let him know that this was not communicated to me when the two 5x10 units were offered since the original 8x10 unit I reserved was not available. I let Nick know that I was originally quoted $95/mo on the reservation I made 04/21/2024, and he said that "if it were up to me we wouldn't even do reservations because I think they are dumb". This has been an extremely poor experience. The lack of professionalism and organization does not make me feel confident in this facility to maintain my belongings. I have been a customer at U-Haul before in Philadelphia, PA and have had great experiences there. Please let me know what we can do to address these issues. Thank you, Anne Macio

The process of renting and dropping off is VERY = too stressfull. This prossess needs improved/ simplified for customer and the UHall agent. Everything on the lot should be 'drop off' avalible. Takes far too much time to complete your transaction.. This should be simplified just as the rental car industry has done.

The whole check in app process was annoying, there was so much I had to do once I got there that I should have been able to do ahead of time. Instead I had to waste another 20 minute finishing the check in. The drop off process was annoying too, let's submit all this information that could've been done prior but we're going to make you wait until you're at our location to do it. I should've just had to entire mileage and be on my way.

My uhaul had a leak! A leak! It proceeded to rain all over my couch, clothing, everything that I moved! I also thought I paid for the one I could move to another store? But it didn't confirm that way so I had to drive all the way from Boardman Ohio back to Monaca Pa! I would like a partial refund for my damaged tv, clothes, and my soaking couch.

I reserved a ground floor unit specifically and for serious reasons and had the paperwork showing the confirming details. Young man behind the desk at the site said too bad, we don't have a ground floor unit. Here is what we have take it or leave it. Appalling customer service and fraudulent reservation system.

The day I cleaned out the unit the manager Nick said he would go look at it and then close the account for me. Well, I get a text message and a letter mailed to me after Nick and I spoke face to face about closing it, stating that I was late on my payment. So, I called not sure who I spoke to and explained the situation and he kindly closed the account for me. As for Nick, please follow through on your end next time so this does not happen to anyone else. Thanks

I reserved a 10x10x10 storage unit. When I arrived to move in I was told I would be getting 2 units smaller units. I wasn't made aware of this when booking and this wasn't what I paid for. It made it munch more difficult to move everything into 2 small units rather than the large one I reserved, I also had to purchase 2 locks as opposed to 1. When moving out of my unit last week, we notified the office that I was done with the unit and they said they would close it out. I then got a call a few days later saying they noticed my units were empty and asked if I moved out.

It was not clearly explained to me i was receiving two 5x7 units instead of the 10x10 unit I requested. I was mortified to find out my movers crammed everything into two 5x7 rooms. I probably have a lot of broken items now and cant get to any of it! Staff was friendly and helpful but could have done better

Just a little upset about the roof that was repaired falling into my storage unit. Pieces. Also, the insurance on the unit is not worth the hassle I experienced when a few of my items were damaged due to mold. It's so much of a process and inconvenient. The fees are also high at Uhaul. Our unit was always paid up but I seemed to pay a late fee after 2 days of being late and then before 30 days a lien fee was applied. I'll def try another storage company before I come back to uhaul. Nick in the office is great! Thanks for all the help Nick!

We loved pulling inside to unload the truck. Throughout the month of storage, we were able to remove items at our leisure, into our vehicles, out of the weather. We are grateful to have had the units for free for a month with the truck rental. We will use this as incentive when suggesting to others.

I would have preferred not to have had to return to UHAUL just to get a move in receipt and again for the move out receipt, and was also charged an extra day for a rental truck that was clearly turned in on the day and time specified which I had to return to UHAUL again to clear up the mistake.

The Only Problem I Kept Having Was The " Locks" That UHaul Wanted People To Buy Kept Jamming I Had Two Of Uhaul's Locks & They Both Jammed & Would Not Open My Storage, Other Than That Everything Else Was Great!👍😊

No instructions on how to disarm unit and had to search for an employee. Floors need to be refilled and the tiles going up to the elevator were never graded. The bump caused one of my boxes to fall and the contents broke. The unit itself was clean and dry though.

Everyone was so helpful and went out of their way to address my needs. The facility was clean and well lit. It was good to know that my items were safe and clean as when I put them in storage. Thank you and I always tell everyone that your place is the best and safest to use.

I paid almost $80 a month to have an indoor storage unit. To access this you would need to drive inside EVERY SINGLE TIME I came the garage doors were broke which causes me to park in a parking lot and walk an absorbent amount carrying objects with two young kids. Absolutely ridiculous to run a business like this.

I paid extra to have a unit on the 1st floor for easy access in and out for the move. I get to my unit and there is a giant I-beam that runs directly up the center if it, which made arranging my person items much harder and not everything was able to fit. Very disappointed.
