I scheduled an appointment online to order and install a hitch on my 2014 Ford Escape. 6 days after scheduling this and the day before my scheduled appointment I received a call telling me they wouldn't be able to install the hitch the day I requested. They told me it takes 5-7 business days for the equipment to get to the store. This wouldn't be a problem, but online it allowed me to make the appointment and there was no mention online that it would take 5-7 business days to get the parts. At first this wasn't a problem, but then I remembered that you had already taken the money for the hitch and the install out of my account...yes, I had already paid, and now they are telling me that my scheduled appointment was a mistake on their part and they weren't going to try and fix it. So the general manager contacted me after a brief communication online. I had to explain myself once again and I felt as though I was interrupting his time. I have already paid for this service and I'm the inconvenience? Finally, he listened to my issues and took the time to correct the situation. I couldn't help but feel as though UHaul saw this as my problem and my fault for using their online system to schedule this appointment. The tone used when figuring out how to fix the situation didn't feel appropriate, and I think that this facility needs to double check their customer service standards. Luckily they were able to correct my situation and this didn't throw off my scheduled move, but it did add unnecessary stress and I won't recommend these services to others.

The wait on the phone lines is way too long! Also when i returned the truck after hours I took pictures of the gas gauge and speedo. When i got the bill they tried to charge me for gas but i had the before and after pictures to prove it had the same amount of gas in it. They did cheerfully refund the money and since i did not use the blankets i ordered the refunded me the $5.00 i paid for that also.

45 minutes from pickup time, u haul calls an tells me my truck is not available. 2nd want me to go to spring valley. I declined I was offered smaller truck which put me in having to make 2 out of town trips not 1. Now my mileage and gas cost doubles. Company says “sorry”. Only gives me 3/4 compensation for now doing trip in 2 days. Gas tank was only1/8 full and could not make even 1st trip. Filled tank full myself 100.00 dollars. By the way did you charge the previous customer for not filling up then pocketing all the money and forced me to do your job. Will use budget or rider next time.

Initially, the guy said he would have to charge us a cleaning fee, for 6 envelopes that had fallen on the floor during our move, WHILE my partner was picking them up. Then he tried to charge me for an extra day, although my contract stated 5/5, as the date due back and I returned it on 5/4, a day early. He was not very polite. Then when I called him on it and produced the contract, he back pedalled. Then he made a big deal telling me he wasn't going to charge me to clean it "because I need the equipment". We had already picked up the loose envelopes... it was as clean as when we received it, otherwise. Ultimately, I will avoid this location due to this exchange with this guy. It's too bad because the store in Austin was great.

We got one car Dollie replaced over 3,800 miles and had 10 tail lights go out. We even dropped it off with a tail light not working! Some fell out and hung by the wires, some stopped working partially some fully just stopped working. Every time the technicians came out to us and got them working again, one used duct tape. That was strange. One took 4 hours to get to us in Baker, CA. One roadside assistance caller promised to reimburse us in 1-2 days for dinner at a max of $20 per person. It’s been 2 weeks and no reimbursement yet on my card.

The process to get approved after I had done the mobile check-in took a long time. I understand it is a process but of there can be a way to cut the wait time, that would be great. I was waiting on approval for another contact after I had entered my father's information. I was told that since he was there dropping me off, that contact did not count. I wish I would have been told that before. Nonetheless, staff at the facility were helpful and friendly.

This has nothing to do with location and/or equipment. I specifically reserved a truck within a mile from where we would be loading up the uhaul and the move was only 4 miles away. Day before movevthey changed my reservation pickup spot to a location that was 17 miles away round trip. Adding more money to my bill for mileage and cost for fuel. Uhaul forced me to spend 35-40 more dollars.

I’m so glad Rick is the new manager at this location. I always go to this U-Haul. Today the system was down and there was a lot of customers trying to pick up a truck. He handled it with stride and made it work. He’s definitely worthy of this position. I’ll be back here soon enough.

The whole experience seemed disorganized and confusing from beginning to end. First the office could not find my reservation in the system and asked me to repeat my information several times. When we walked out to get the truck there was no one to be found in the lot so we had no idea which truck was ours. Finally someone showed up and pointed at the truck for us at which time I had to ask if we were going to do an inspection or damage before leaving the lot. He seemed surprised as though that wasn’t standard protocol. Then when we started the truck our paperwork said it was a full tank when it actually was at 3/8. The rep signed his initials on the paperwork showing adjustment. At drop off, it was after hours and we followed the online instructions on how to do so. Thankfully there was a large sign in the lot with the link. Once we got through that process we had to find where to drop off the keys (because that was never shown to us prior to leaving the lot at pickup). We searched the property, and finally found a mail slot with a handwritten note saying “keys”. We saw other keys and paperwork on the other side of the glass so we were confused if we should put the paperwork through and if so, which part. Once we received the online receipt we were charged around $100 for fuel when we returned it at 3/8 of a tank because it was clear the office was never notified that the tank was actually at that level when we picked up. I called the main line and finally the general manager called me back to refund the amount which o appreciated. All in all nice enough staff, but they seemed to need quite a bit of training and perhaps some more coverage so customers are fully briefed and not standing around or searching for things.

I went to another location and was told that all that vehicle needs to be dropped off at location it was rented from. I AM PISSED YOUR OFFICE CHARGED MY CARD 991.40 AND SAID IT DID NOT GO THROUGH DECLINED I CALLED MY CC COMPANY THE CARD WAS FINE AND IT DID GO THROUGH! I PAID 500 ON ONE CARD THE 491.80 ON ANOTHER CARD. THE OTHER CARD IS STILL CHARGED THEY SAID UHAUL MERCHANT SERVICES HAS TO CALL THEM WITH A CODE TO RELEASE THE FUNDS. THIS HAS BEEN SINCE FEB 10TH WITH RICARDO AND THE TIRE FELL OFF OUR ROLL ON TRAILER WITH OUR JEEP ON IT AND POLICE WANTED TO KNOW WHY NO SPARE GOOD QUESTION ??? WELL I CALLED AND SPOKE TO A GUY NAMED JOSH SAID HE WAS CALLING MGR THEN NO RESPONSE THEN SPOKE TO A VERY NICE GIRL FRI 15TH FEB SAID SENDING INFO TO MGR OR MERCHANT SERVICES I GAVE A BIT SINCE MON WAS A HOLIDAY BUT HERE I SIT WITH MY CREDIT CARD STILL CHARGED !!!! AND NO CALL FROM ANYONE! 619-964-0119 RENEE HAARALA HORRIBLE SERVICE AND I THINK WE SHOULD GET SOME SORT OF DISCOUNT FOR ALL OUR ISSUES TIRE I CAN NOT PAY MY HOME OWNER WARRANTY BECAUSE MY CARD DOES NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY
