The truck I rented transmission was slipping and it was super slow driving I was supposed to bring it back at 6 and I brong it back at 130 told the worker about the truck problems and they still charged me the same amount!I do not think she took my complaint seriously and I would not recommend uhaul to anyone I feel robbedWIDALIZ C.
The app is terrible. I could not log in to complete the dropoff procedure. It does not recognise my email/password combo and does not send me an email or text when I click â€˜reset password'. And it will not permit me to set up a new account, saying that this email address is already in use - and it starts all over when I click â€˜reset password'. And the local-office phone rings and rings till the automated message reminds you to use the app and then places your call in to the on-hold ouebliette. The only way to get anyone's attention is to drive over to the local office; so what is the point of the app? - so I deleted it from my phone for good.JOHN C.

We were not notified that our pick up location was changed until we arrived to pick up the truck, only to find it was not there. We then had to call to find out the new location, which was farther away, which cost us more mileage on the truck overall. Very frustrating and inconvenient.BARRY W.

Hooking up the lights would have been a good start. When I got to my destination (an hour away) I was told I didn't have brake lights on the trailer. There was no harness connecting the lights. When I tried to call the Cinnaminson location, I was on hold for 20 minutes and never got through. I had to go out of my way to find another U-Haul to buy they harness, which they reimbursed me for. Upon return of the truck and trailer, I told them I wanted to be reimbursed for 15 miles since I had to drive out of my way. The attendant told me he didn't have the authority to do that, but he would have the manager call me the next day. I still have not heard from the manager.ROBERT B.

Horrible experience. Not the location's fault. Desk agent was very helpful. This error is entirely on the customer service agent, who did not request the equipment I specifically asked for (we have a recording to confirm--as does U-Haul corporate, if they actually care to audit these things and try to improve their service). We were never notified of our reservation time or place. We only learned we had to drive 40 minutes out of our way when we tried to pick up equipment that did not exist at our requested location. We then received the wrong equipment, because the customer service agent did not request the correct item. We were inconvenienced and forced to drive many miles out of our way. We wasted over four hours trying to pick up a riding mower that we could not transport, and we had to regrettably forgo that purchase because the store would not allow us to pick it up after that day. The pickup truck also smelled like marijuana. Customer service agents were entirely unhelpful. We stayed on the phone for almost 90 minutes, only to find out from an agent in Philadelphia that the "New Jersey phones were down." U-Haul has never once accomplished their "guaranteed time and place" for an order I have requested. I wasn't even aware there was a guarantee until this time around. Your inventory system is absurd. Your agents have no idea where anything in their fleet is at any time.Keith C.
I was told the storage unit was able to be accessed from 5am-10pm. I went at 9pm to unload the truck; however, the gate access key fob I was given did not work. I then proceeded to call the after hours number listed on the gate. No one answered nor did they call me back. This is the second time in one week (different location) where I've had an issue with Uhaul. I thought switching locations would help, but it didn't. What you can do is for customer service guy the with the turbin on his head to be more professional, when i was assigned to the van i was using he did not see to make sure that i had the right van, he told me to go go out there and pretty much find it myself, he did not show me which van it was had to look for myself, not cool at all.SUE D.

Worst experience ever. U haul lost my original confirmation. 20' truck not available. Got a 26' truck. Had smoke pouring out the back. No roadside assistance phone number. This location provided a vehicle that put my family's lives in danger. The brakes were not working properly, the front end of the truck shook so bad only back roads were able to be taken lengthening the mileage and time allotted, and the front end needs to be aligned so bad the driver had to steer like they were navigating a pirate ship on a toy structure. When I told the attendant, Shubhkaran Singh, about the troubles I had, he laughed at me and tried to mansplain to me since I am a woman. He told me he doubted I had ever driven something that large and therefore I was not used to handling large equipment. I was in the Army for 6 years and I assure you I have driven vehicle of that size. Also, this is not my first rental of a truck that size from UHaul. The behavior of the attendant was deplorable and so was the truck.BRYAN V.
Call the day prior to confirm the rental. I had to call around all over the place to find our where the reservation actually was. Since UHaul corporate never sent the email the day before that stated where the pickup would actually be. Where do I start: Employees having a verbal argument in front of customers dropping the F bomb continuously while I was in the store. Essentially unhelpful... there's your truck, now get out of here. Windows on the truck were filthy. Had to purchase glass cleaner and paper towels to clean windows and mirrors prior to driving. Damage on the truck was not identified by employees, and then was told to do a self inspection and take photos with phone. In my opinion not the good way to run a company.Douglas A.

My experience with this location was so poor that I should get a full refund on my reservation. This location wasted 4 hours of my time because they flatly failed to prepare my truck. I drove 40 minutes to this location to pick up a 24/7 Uhaul Share, and they completely failed to prepare the truck. I only finally figured this out after spending 45 minutes on the phone with multiple UHaul employees. I called the manager, Susan Singh, multiple times since her number on the door for customers to call in case they have issues. She didn't pick up a single time and I was left with absolutely no help or clarity. I have been a loyal UHaul customer for years but my experience at this location makes me wonder if I will ever use this service again. The employees were not knowledgable or helpful, and they failed to do the most basic function of their job despite my almost 200 $dollar reservation. I even reserved packing blankets and my truck didn't have them. In every way, this location failed to perform the service that I paid for. On top of that, they wasted 4 hours of my time in travel and a phone call.Jack D.

I picked the self service check out on purpose. However, it did not work. Our truck was parked in the back of the store which was wrong. The representative was so helpful but he could not get the order to go through. So we had to cancel my reservation and generate a new one. Then I had to pay 180 $with the new order but the one I booked was 152 $. I was not prepared to pay 30 $more due to technical errors on U-Haul s end. I am not happy.Kalimah P.

I had to travel 15 min to another facility to pick up my truck after being scheduled for a MT Laurel pickup. Then I was given an unsafe truck with low air on the right rear tire after I loaded my belongings. I had to go to a gas station to fill with air. We called the Cinnamonson NJ facility to back track 20 minutes so they can check each tire saying they were ok. Upon returning the truck later, the low air tire was still reading on the dash board and the Life Storage facility only could receive the truck with no adjustments to mileage compensation or complaints/concerns, directing us back to Uhaul who never answered the 1800 line. I was quoted 117,00 $ one way with a 14 safety charge, having to overpay 151,00 $ and being charged 32 $additionally for drop off?!?? I need to be compensated for this unsafe adventure and reimbursed . Please call me at 215.782.0272. I'm very disappointed with the equipment even the sales folks were friendlyTina W.

You do seem to have a parking problem at that locationâ€¦ There were no other customers in the show room when I returned the trailer, but there was only one parking space available in the entire facility for me to park my truck and get in there. I had an issue with my initial rental, it apparently was overbooked in the Philly area so I had to call around and get a trailer out of New Jersey. This screwed up my schedule and I had to come back sooner than anticipated in order to accommodate another appointment. Don't overbook the equipment and this wont happen! Communication was at an all time low. I did what was instructed by employee in reference to payment type being changed which was to call customer sevice and change the card, sat on hold for and hour just for the person to tell me they couldnt do it. For the first 2 years i kept complaining that i could barely get into my unit because it was so difficult to roll the door up...3 times i went to the office or called the office from outside my unit to please come and open my door...all 3 times i waited over a half hours after i asked for someone to help...2 of those times i was berated and treated as if i was an obstinate child (I'm 66 and was very respectful) the 3rd time after they couldn't get the door open they told me they would make an appointment for it to get fixed...they neglected to tell me i would need to be there and i was to call later to see when. A repair person was available...so 2 months later i went to the office and was told i needed to be there. Finally a repair person showed up and asked me how long my door was this bad..i replied since i moved in...he was a new repair person,who was unbelievably nice,sweet and talented (so unlike 2 other U-Haul employees)and fixed my door in 35 minutes...he was appalled that i dealt with this for over 2 years...i was previously told this is how these doors are, you need some elbow grease...I'm disabled and have limited use of my "elbows" ...however after the door was fixed i could open it all by myself...so over the years i had 2 UHaul employees and mr fix-it who was wonderful...all the others shouldn't have a costumer oriented job...other then coming to place stuff into the unit or emptying the unit i probably only visited the unit 20 times in the years that i had it...so i don't think this UHaul faired well as a customer oriented business who's employees are told to be respectful of their long term customer's. ..DIANE M. | Expérience générale
