The U-Haul experience using the app was horrific. I was forced to download an app that didn't work. They could not process me inside the store. I do t plan on using U-haul again. I should be able to complete my order at the counter. Inexcusable!

The location is always busy being that we are a military town, I was told I must use the app to check in for my rental. I waited 40 minutes for the app to verify my drivers license despite having rented from this same location less than a year ago. The most frustrating part was then being checked in at the counter since it wasn't working through the app in a timely manner. I'll know for next time but this was a frustrating experience that didn't have to happen.

The online checkin didn't work. It took us more than 45 mins to get the truck. The new contract they did at the location, they provided 66 miles mileage instead of 85 miles when we registered. Upon asking about the difference they were rude to resolve it.

I needed to return the U-Haul after hours. I'm not great at the new phone technology. I had to call for assistance on how to properly complete my return. The staff on the phone helped me finish the process. I was extremely thankful!!! All ended wonderfully.

Your app was not working properly on the day of my pickup. I entered all of my information the day before, but the next day when I went to pick up my truck it asked for all of the information again. While I was at the store, I had to enter all of the information 3 different times. The staff was also trying to assist me so they also noticed the issue. Please make sure your app is functional. I do want to say that the staff was very helpful, but they were just as stressed as I was that the app caused so many issues.

The east coast TN u -haul was the exact opposite Nobody gave a damn that I was trying to turn in the car dolly and some woman from the store started screaming at my pregnant wife to move my truck while I was inside trying to find an associate. The facility was dis organized and a driving hazard to anyone who entered the facility. The strap on the driver side would continuously come undone during the trip from tx to TN I tried explaining that to an associate but they couldn't be bothered. Please look at the rusted side of the dolly We almost lost our mini cooper And I hope the next family doesn't get hurt or cause an accident

There is zero customer service at this location. The answer to every question is use the app or we will send you a link. I am a supervisor at my company and I am huge on customer service. So needless to say if I ever need a truck for moving my college age children I will look for another option than U-Haul. I reserved the truck with the app but the app didn't work. Then I asked to just do the service on the computer at the desk and was told to use my app. After it failed again and a waist of 30 minutes the lady done it o. The computer like I asked when I first walked in. Your company may want to reconsider relying on an app so much and lean more toward people connection which always leads to better customer service and also weed out poor employees

The 5x9 trailer with ramp rental needs to have a motorcycle chock option in the rental when customer is initiating rental. Also please give Paul and everyone there at this pick up location a 5 STARS ⭐️ for their assistance n friendliness!!!

I know this is overall Uhaul policy, not necessarily the fault of this specific location. But when a customer is a couple hours late on a scheduled Tuesday return time, after being told by the drop off location's employee to "don't worry about it, just drop it off Wednesday" and gets charged $140 it gives the customer a bad experience. Also, if extended days are added by Uhaul to the reservation, the customer should have the option on whether to continue to use the optional insurance. Due to the fact I was already at my destination, I no longer needed it. Anyway. Kinda disappointed in my drop off experience.

When i looked up the price for what i rented it was $118 ended up costing me $170. Plus an additional $15 fee and you cant take the trailer off to run the vehicle through the carwash. Nice vehicle, would probably rent again but please be more visible on pricing. Also the chains are to long on the trailer so the drag on the ground.

The truck I used had many mechanical issues. The rear door took considerable force to close it , the truck was completely empty on fuel when we picked it up, the steering intermediate shaft was failing so every time you made a turn the shaft would clunk truck had a horrible exauste leak close to manifolds I feel as through these trucks should be better maintained. It was clean. But didn't seem to be mechanically solid

It wasn't clear that the storage unit would be a 2nd level storage unit. The front door where you pull up wasn't working. Had to get large items through he smaller side door. There was no lift available to bring the large items to the 2nd floor.

The door to the storage area was not working, had to use the side door to bring in large items. The unit that was rented identified as a first floor unit but was actually an elevated unit up some stairs, an elevator option or at least a lift would've been welcomed.

Usually the U-Haul equipment I rent is in good condition; however, the 6'x12' trailer I last rented was in poor condition. The exterior was beaten up pretty badly. Also, it looked as though the trailer had been overloaded causing the axle area to hump up. It's time to recapitalize. Just a suggestion. The staff was excellent. Very helpful.

Not so much the location but the condition of the trailer. First, the passenger side fender was rusted and pieced together, the entire undercarriage was covered in red clay, including the tires and the inside was not swept out. Secondly, the double axle trailer has no jack..... unacceptable. I had to use my vehicle jack when i had to remove the trailer. Lastly, the trailer wobbled and swayed at anything over 50 mph. Something is wrong when a double axle trailer with the majority of the load in the front sways at that speed. I pull boats, rv's, utility trailers and my 6x12 covered trailer and it has never swayed like that. I am not happy at all with this product and would like a call regarding this. The Uhaul app and checkout process is basically outsourcing the labor for check out to the buyer. After paying $1300 to rent a truck for 4 days the last thing I want to do is spend 15 minutes taking pictures of my truck, of the mileage, and carrying the dolly to where it needs to go while i watch 3 people stand around and do nothing. From a business perspective, the app makes total sense as you probably have to staff less at the site however from a customer experience perspective its kind of terrible. when I went to the desk the and asked to return my keys, the response was "you have a text on your phone follow the directions there"

Units are inside a large warehouse type building. The small (inexpensive) units are in the middle of the building with stairs to get to them and then a hall to walk down to get to your unit. There is a cart for the ground level from your car to the stairs but then you have to carry it up the stairs and down the hall. The units with no stairs are more than double the price. All units are built on the same cement slab warehouse floor why stairs? I paid for a month but it was to difficult for me to do the stairs and hall over and over so I took stuff out instead of bringing the rest wasting one months rent.

This place is GREAT! Not even 24 hours of using them and they have done great for me. They didn't have any disk locks for me to have via their free lock deal, but they did allow me to use my regular lock until I can get the money to get one. I got a free month, only having to pay the 11 dollar insurance. More than pleased with uhaul already!

Staff is rude and act as though you are bothering them. Storage unit had a leak in the past causing mold to my things which the majority had to be thrown away. There is also a hole with mold on the floor of the unit. Some of the Insulation laying on the wire at the top of the Storage unit fell on my furniture and boxes along with black tar used to fix the roof of where the leak was. Manager at the Providence Uhaul did not care and again treated me like I was bothering her and was just trying to get me out. Went to sweep out the unit because I moved my things out and planned to be out by the 31st of the month. When I got to the unit there was a green band on it saying ready to rent. Went to the office talked to the manager and let her know. Asked if I was going to be charged because I hadn't swept it out. She said no I was done. When I mentioned again that I couldn't get in the unit she asked me when I moved my stuff out. Told her I had moved the last of it on Saturday night and she said that they weren't going to keep the unit open for a long time. It was only 1 day. Moved stuff out on Saturday and went to sweep on Monday. I still had 4 days left on the contract and they put it up for rent before the completion of the contract. I was never contacted about the unit or notified that it was being locked. They made the unit available knowing of the mold and hole in wood floor. Also, did not remove the insulation. I had that unit for about 10 yrs. I have another unit unit with my father's things which I am removing, I've had that unit for almost 3 yrs. They would not cover the damages and expected my insurance to pay for it. Why should I have to pay for something they were responsible for maintaining, meaning the roof with leak. Also, it was a climate controlled unit. Unfortunately, the Providence Uhaul makes all Uhauls look bad. I will never use another uhaul and will advise people not to use it either. I spent a lot of money to protect my things just to lose over half of it in the end. I am very angry that the things I was trying to protect are gone. Needs new management because the one there has no clue on what is going on there and how to treat people.

Because I call the GM cause I got locked out and my dogs and I have stuff still in the hallway. She told me there was nothing she could do she didn't even try to come up there and see ifshe could help us. On the phone she was very rude to my sister and very disrespectful to also on the phone. I will be moving my stuff out of the storage on Saturday and cancel my contract.

My unit 759 collapsed damaging a lot of my things was told someone would come out to fix it last Saturday at 12 no one called waited until after 1:30 to just do things myself and found my property thrown everywhere broke not how I left my unit lady calls Wednesday I want to say with an attitude saying they have someone to fix I explain calmly that we had no more time to waste I was told 12 o’clock it would be fixed and no one showed up and my husband and son had to fix things so we could see how badly things were broken she caught an attitude and hung up I wouldn’t recommend to anyone I just wanted to get my what was left and not broke into my other unit and not have to keep paying for a unit that collapsed.

Directions for access were incomplete of which panel to key in first then second. I never found the storage unit.

There were roaches climbing on the walls in several hallways leading by to my unit on top of that head to be unload all my belongs outside b my home to ensure I didn't b being b any along with me the door on the side my unit by was on was broken therefore had to travel to opposite be end of facility to get my belongings will never use be this facility again

Storage unit and size were overpriced. Having vagrants hang out so they could sneak in as you put your code in made it uncomfortable.

They have the worst customer service at the Clarksville Providence location. I was told several different things about getting a lock cut off because I moved and did not take the lock off prior to moving. They do not return phone calls either.

The first agent on returning the vehicle was very rude. He would not answer any of my questions and continued to tell me to use the link sent to me because everything was online! The link led me to a youtube video. The storage unit was not as I thought it would be. It does not look like a regular storage unit, more like a hole in the wall. I had to get 2 units to accommodate a 2 bedroom apartment. Renee was an absolute ANGEL! She was wonderful!
