First, there was one person checking in people and the line went to the door. It was an hour wait WITH the reservation already done. Then the truck had 1/2 tank of gas. Luckily I took a picture of the beginning and ending mileage and time. I drove exactly 16 miles and they charged me for 68 miles. I went back to the desk to complain but there is no manager on duty Saturday and Sunday. What kind of service business is that? No manager or assistant on the weekends? Why would I "assume" the worker is going to tell the boss about his screw ups? He would not. I used the U-Haul on Schneck the day before and the transaction was flawless. I will never recommend the Dixie location, ever. If I am not refunded the 52 miles by tomorrow or receive a call I will take this higher, including as many lousy reviews as I can. I am retired so I have lots of time to write...

Rework these trailers. The tongue is way too heavy. A man can't lift it. I've seen boat trailers with brake systems that can carry over 13 000 pounds with a better design.

I reserved a 26 ' truck for a one-way move on 3/21/2024 for a pick up date of 3/31/2024. I was sent an email stating that my 26' truck was guaranteed and for 3/31/2024 and it wasn't. I was given a 20' truck and was told by scheduling to " deal with it". What poor customer service and no one would do anything about it. I will never use U-haul again.

Rented a car hauler. Service is exceptional. The tires on this trailer were used past safety. Did not noticed until I reached the first rest area on hw 95. I had to drive 1600 miles . If you rent a trailer check the condition of the tires first .

Went up on storage fee just about every few months. It's like they were purposely trying to remove people to make room for others or something. Attitude wasn't the friendliest when approaching front desk and that was the "owner" himself. Not welcoming at all.

I reserved a pick up truck - went to pick it up and was told I could ONLY pick it up using the U-HAUL app on my phone. Long story, but after 40 minutes of trying to get the app to work, I changed the vehicle type and was out of the store in about 5 minutes. This is the only reason I'm rating it one star. The check-out process was super quick, and I'm very happy with that.

This rental was a disaster as the original location did not have our vehicle and basically told us we were on our own to find another one. We had no explanation as to why no one called prior to tell us this or received any help. We had movers coming in one hour. Very very bad experience. This was the location off Pineda in 32940.

It was no fault of the location but the truck share instructions were not working for the rented pickup truck. I was in the store for an hour working with counter service to figure out how to get the pickup truck dispatched. After all attempts getting it dispatched under the existing rental, the rental was cancelled and manager completed a new reservation dispatching the truck. An hour of my time was taken and delayed me from getting where I needed to go. Once the problem was resolved and the truck was dispatched, it was smooth sailing.

The app didn't really work when I dropped off the truck. I clicked the button to return my truck and I was able to answer a few questions but then it kicked me out and I couldn't finish. I didn't know what to do so I am hoping that I don't get charged extra fees. I found the truck just like I found it.

Equipment was not in proper working order. When I had to replace equipment the process was difficult. The gentleman would rather curse and fight with replacing a light than switch out the trailer. The older gentlemen was rude and had a serious lack of customer service and patience. The worse part about the experience the gentleman threw the invoice to me rather than place it on my hand. David and his shift was amazing. This gentleman was not.

The attendant saw us drive up, pointed to where to park the trailer and then proceeded to help us disconnect and electronically check us out. It all took less than a few min with the receipt being emailed to me. It was awesome.

The truck was in good shape. Maintenance needs to look over the truck. Electrical was not working properly especially at night. Targeting more of the area of the headlights. The front of the truck had damages, along with some interior damages.

Quote price for installing hitch at ~$175. Call and say it's way more difficult to install and double price to ~$350 and then finish job and send email confirming complete two hours later. Two hours of labor at $175 per hour is ridiculous…

Truck floor needed to be swept, there were some kind of food crumbs on the driver's side floor mat. There was also a used water bottle left in the vehicle. I had to to throw away the bottle, and remove the mat and shake it, so that I could return the truck clean, even though it should not have been my responsibility.

I was forced to use this location as the first choice had the size moving van we needed. When we got there, 141 Clearlake Road in Cocoa, FL, we couldn't open the lock box. Stood in that cold ass weather and neither code they have is worked for any of the three lock boxes. I was very disappointed in UHaul. I searched all over after that and couldn't find a truck the size we needed and had to settle for a much smaller one. I wasn't compensated or credited for any of the time wasted not was I even given an apology from UHaul. This was a very disappointing experience.

Worst experience ever. I booked Merritt island online and get the office and they don't have my unit available. They gave me another unit in the office location and it was disgusting. At the last minute I had to call around and get a new unit elsewhere. I better not get charged for this unit.

This is the second time this happened with this particular U-Haul. Never will I use U-Haul again. Last minute I had to call around to get a new place at a super clean nice place. Thanks for nothing!

The newer staff members was not familiar with the processes for issuing storage. When I asked how long they worked there they said a month. It would greatly benefit your team to have everyone on the same level. I had movers being paid by the hour and I had to wait until the person that could issue the storage returned from lunch. This could have been avoided with proper training. Otherwise the staff was very helpful. Corey & Sutton did the best they could.

The inside of the facility was always over the Temperature range on the thermometer on the wall . During the day the temp was unbearable to stay in for any length of time , so if I needed to move stuff there or around in there it was in evening . It did say it would be temperature controlled so I don't feel I got my moneys worth since I paid for it . For this reason I won't be recommending uhaul. And also I. The beginning we served a ground floor rental unit and that day when checked in the man said he only had one unit left and it was upstairs I'm disabled and stairs are difficult for me but he didn't seem to care .

Access to units is very difficult. Up stairs down stairs doorways not large enough for large furniture. Rented unit had to cancel and find something more adequate

I waited for help for 25 min when i was trying to rent the unit because I am disabled and needed a down stairs unit and no one knew if there was one available then when there was finally someone to answer the question he didn't even stop walking and talking on his phone he said "nope" the guy helping me said what can she do he said " go somewhere else" if I wouldn't have needed something that day I absolutely would have gone somewhere else

The staff was absolutely terrible. There were 4 people working and no one was interested in helping in any way shape or form when we were having difficulty entering the facility. They even lied and said there was no other way to access my storage unit. The person cleaning the windows actually told myself and the movers I had hired the other way to get in. The staff inside finally let us in this way and then were terrible when we tried to find the best route to exit. This is not the first time I have had issues with the staff at this site. Someone needs to evaluate the quality of their employees.

Alexa was amazing. We were displeased to find out a booked reservation did not guarantee a unit after moving from PA. She listened to us, addressed our concern, stayed very professional and got us a solution we were happy with. In the middle of helping us she had another customer rudely and continuously interrupting and she addressed that with poise. Afterwards she gave us a full tour to ensure a successful transfer. She is a value to your business.

Its Obvious that everyone working here knows one another thru family cousins what not. This was booked out of town. Im pretty sure we requested an air conditioned unit. A fan!? In Florida!? No. I would never recommend this to anyone I care about, let alone, passing strangers. Sure, a free month because they screwed up my intake! I cant wait to get my stuff out of there. Uhaul is Great! I stood 35 minutes with a frustrated employee who didn't know what he was doing and no one helping him but rather interrupting him to ask questions for their customer. My daughter and dog were out in the 98 degree heat all this time. I am disabled and needed a storage unit on the ground floor. They didn't want to go look and see if there was one so the boss came in and when he finally got off his phone said " well you can take upstairs or go somewhere else" I will never use that uhaul again

In order to rent a climate controlled storage space large enough for my needs I had to put my stuff 30 miles from where I was moving to after traveling from the Gulf coast to the Atlantic coast even though there were several storage facilities much closer.

I am relocating to the Melbourne area from the Clearwater area and had hopped to find a storage area closer to where I was going to be living. Even though I called to reserve storage space more than a week ahead of my moving date the Rockledge/Cocoa facility was the only one with a climate controlled space of at least 10 x 10 available within 30 miles of the facility in Melbourne at the intersection of Babcock and Palm Bay road. Everything was great until I rented a storage space. I purposely went into this location 3 days prior to moving in to see about a storage space. I asked for the $89 storage space and if they had it one the first floor, since I am renting this for my mom who is moving in with me and can not go up and down stairs, because she's going through cancer treatment. I was told yes and shown a unit on the first floor. I even made a reservation for this storage unit. On the day I arrived with my mom's things I was told that the unit I was shown is not going to be $89, but approximately $160. Unfortunately we had to rent a unit on the 2nd floor, which is not good, since there's no elevator at this location.

So after attempting to close my storage earlier than a month since I found somewhere to reside ONLY 3 DAYS after paying the entire $135 for my unit I was told by the people over the phone & the manager at the Rockledge location that I was unable to be prorated any amount & that it was up to the location manager. Next from the very beginning I was offered a one way deal so that when I used the Uhual truck my first month of storage is free. After arguing & still paying the money upfront 2 weeks later I was told it was stay on my account instead of being refunded back to me. I will never tell anyone to return from here. Also if your going to offer such large units atleast have a light in the back of the unit! I only liked for one or two people to assist me at this location. One of the guys I no longer see he left & Darryl. Darryl is beyond nice & helpful! From returning the uhual unloading it as well & any time before I left. Please let him kno his hard work is never unnoticed!

After having my unit broke into twice, nothing was done. Not a phone call, as promised, from management. No response from the c/s line. But it's all for the best right? "The new facility will be open soon, and we are referring are current good customers to move there." Shady business practices at best. I thought you might have at least tried.

not happy. The key pads do not work all the time. I was lied to about the time I could access times. I was told 7to10. Now it's store hours. Had to take off work to get moved. Not impressed!!!!!!

Alll of our belongings were covered in cockroaches, scales and some sort of poop pellets. We have to throw all of our furniture away. Never in 13 years living in NC did we have one roach. Speechless

I reserved a 17'. Later to find it was 15. My reserved rental unit was 1st st floor but ended up 2nd floor and no elevator. I was measured at $60 furl. Put in 30 to full but was stil charged $31?
