DAVID EThe 4' x 8' trailer let me use my side mirrors to see normally. When loaded, the trailer pulled well and nearly silently.

We ran into some issues with the U-Boxes being available and some clear communication on the lift driver availability for the weekend which was our move out time but AM Paris and The Manager Mark for the Collierville,TN location was just the best in a very stressful situation. The both of them went well beyond '"above and beyond" and we could not thank enough for their support and understanding and willingness to listen to help us come to a solution!!!!!

A gentleman came in and told the lady which number unit I had. She did the paperwork. I went out the door and he had it all hooked up ready for me to test the lights. Everything work and I left. I think it took me all of :10. I was impressed. Good team work at this location. I rent here periodically and they always do a good job.

BOBBY OI dropped my 26' truck after-hours so did not meet the staff, but the layout of the facility was very clear. No issues.
ROBERT PTruck needs to be taken to the dumpster. Truck was clean. Door was extremely hard to close. Window on driver door rattled really bad. I think front in need alignment or need to check air pressure. Also, driver seat would not adjust. This is the worst truck I have ever rented in my life from u haul. Truck had about 125,00 miles. JOHN RHelpful employees. They were kind & patient. They worked to please each customer that came into this location. (I witnessed about 4-5 customer's transactions) I will only rent from this location. Great guys!
TAMARA CI reserved a 10x10 climate controlled unit. When I went into the facility only one check-in terminal was open. The employee finished her personal cell phone call to be able to assist me. She asked me questions which I answered in my normal speaking voice. She told me she could not hear me so I raised my voice to respond. Her eyes widened and she started talking about me having attitude. I mentioned I had raised my voice because she said she could not understand me. Meanwhile another employee came in and they proceeded to have a personal conversation in the middle of checking me in. The second employee noticed I was seated at the check-in and apologized, which I appreciated. The employee checking me in finished and hand me a security swipe card with no instructions on how to use it. When I went to my storage unit in the detached building I went inside to find my unit and inadvertently set off the alarm in my unit because I didn't know i had to swipe to disarm in addition to swiping for entrance. The place is clean and maintained and I have no complaints other than the attitude and unpleasantness of the employee who checked me into my storage unit.

pam d | Expérience généraleWould have left 5 stars. Very helpful initially, including hooking up the trailer to our hitch. However, we had some concerns about how the trailer felt/acted while driving, as it was bouncing and felt like it was pulling the vehicle (large SUV), which is different compared to privately owned trailers we have used. Called back and received little help or guidance except "If you return it, I can't be sure that you'll get your money back". Decided to go ahead and use it on our long, one way haul. Once it was loaded, we had no problems or complaints. If your employees had informed us that trailers tend to perform better when loaded, it would have alleviated some significant concern. Otherwise, we had a good experience.
TAMMY HHad a blow out 15 minutes into my drive. Tech came and changed 2 tires because of the condition they were in, and one tire on the trailer was the wrong size. Said the other 2 tires were in bad shape too. Ended up being stuck on the side of the road for an hour and a half
CHANDLER WThe back door went off the track two hours into our appointment. We had to unload everything we were moving and take the truck back.
JEREMY GDianne did a wonderful job helping me with my initial reservation. The day of my reservation, she called to confirm that I still needed the trailer. When I arrived at the facility, I decided to rent a different style of trailer. Dianne was very understanding and quickly changed my reservation and the rest of the team worked quickly to connect and test the trailer. When I returned that afternoon, the team was quick to diconect the trailer and check me back in. Very enjoyable experience.

PAUL SEveryone has been very pleasant and respectful except Dontrice. He called me after I had an agreement with Mark, manager. He claimed that Mr Mark recently suffered a head injury as the reason for his inaccurate conversation and accused me of owing money when I went to receive moving record. He was very condescending and made a misrepresentation of my statement to him in front of another employee. Overall, the facility is very thorough and safe.

Guy said the new ones are only for 1 way rentals. I was doing a 1 way rental. Guy said the computer picks the trailer. The trailer i got was old and a pile of junk.

In hindsight; behavior comon to each of the last four experiences at this location. Note: Yard staff interactions were exactly opposite.

The gentleman that checked me and the truck back in was COMPLETELY the opposite. He was kind, helpful and thanked me for being a uhaul customer!

I had just spent $900 to get to my destination leaving me with just enough to survive on till I got paid. Then was told I had to pay for the second month which was not listed on the website. It left me with one penny in my account. I am really disappointed that each manager can decide these things when all Centers are supposed to be the same. I would have chose a different location had I known.

I accidentally set off my alarm multiple times over the first year of my rental and no one would come confirm that it's my unit. That's the only issue I had with storing my items here. Clean facility. Friendly staff. Just unimpressed due to the lack of security. Luckily, Collierville is a relatively safe city, so no issues occurred requiring staff to actually get up to check the unit.

One leaving town 26ft and one short term 19ft? in town truck and we needed storage. Very easy to book, easy to obtain and storage was clean! We have used this same uhaul place on byhalia before. Last year as well. Only one I would suggest to a friend. The uhaul in collierville on byhalia rd. Drop off in ramer, tn with Felicia was great too! She is always very nice, friendly, quick and efficient! Thanks uhaul! And the guys I spoke to on phone were all easy to understand and very nice. Shout out to Oscar and Fred!!
Stefanie T | Premières impressionsThe positives were offset by the inconveniences. The lack of fence / gate creates security concern. I reserved the unit on-line then went in to finalize. Uhaul assumes I have a smart phone with data... I do not. So, I got there and was told they would send a text or email and I needed to take a pic of my ID and submit it. I told the guy that when I rented my truck I had to take a pic of my ID, but the he could not access that. So, I had to go back home borrow a phone set it up with my email and go back to Uhaul to finish. Uhaul needs to ask for the ID when reserving or have a way to capture it there rather than assume the customer will bring a smart phone.

Not only did they get us set up in our storage unit quickly, but they also made sure our trailer turn-in experience was very smooth. Most importantly, they fixed a serious issue with the hitch installation that I had done at the Gaithersburg, MD store on Snouffer School road. The Collierville store re-attached my exhaust hanger brackets after I noticed a bungee cord that the other store installed and forgot to remove. The Collierville store needs to know how amazing they are!

We arrive the day of my reservation after a long day of moving and traveling only to be told not only are there no drive up units available, there are no units available at all. After a lot of back and forth, I was given an empty unit (not drive up & required moving help). Staff looked overworked and frustrated. I know it wasn't their fault - it's the company's fault for allowing people to book reservations when there isn't anything available. Do better. I will not be coming back to this location, nor will I be using uhaul storage units ever again after this.

Reserving a storage facility means little; as despite having a written reservation and confirmation number, bins may be unavailable and are granted on a 1st come, same day service 2. Computer system went down on the day I was scheduled to unload truck into facility. It was problematic that I had my out-of-town driver "locked up" with nowhere to go. Seems like a good practice might be establishing "Plan B" to avoid customer dilemma (nowhere to go) 3. Despite agreed upon monthly rate, UHaul increased my rate after one month of me unloading into 2 storage units. I had limited options (but to pay increased rate) other than hire movers to reload & exit facility

I had to move out as a result of my being very ill and not being able to work for three months. When I shared the problem with Mark, he was very helpful, and he provided a solution. Michael Y | Expérience généraleThere seems to be a disconnect in communication at this facility. I originally reserved a 10x15 non-climate controlled unit. Upon arrival I was told they didn't have it available. They said they could get me a 10x10 non climate controlled and that they would also give me a 10x5 but it would be climate controlled. While I didn't need a climate controlled unit I felt this was a fair move and I get that mistakes are made. The said they had to get ahold of "HQ" to get pricing adjusted and they don't open until later because they are in Arizona. Again, got it, I told them I would be back around 11 with a truckload of household goods, they said that should be enough time. I came back around 12 and went in to get my units to find that the. 10x10 that was outside was rented while I was gone and that instead they got me a 10x10 and a 10x5 that were climate controlled. While this seems like a 'win' this is where things got bad. I had moving labor with was costing me around $100/hr, I showed up to the unit and the guy with long hair working at the front desk could only tell me the plan but want actually able to rent me the unit and for every question he would say "I don't know what to tell you". He then said he wasn't fully trained and that he had only been there 6 months. This seems like plenty of time to train a person. After about a half hour I walked in to see if we could just start moving into the unit even though I didn't technically have it rented. He was very unsure, after more convincing he "allowed" it. The problem with the climate controlled facility is that it added additional time to how long I needed movers. With an outside non-climate controlled unit I could pull up to the door and load directly into the unit. With the climate controlled facility they had to load items on a cart and transition through hallways and up an elevator to get to the unit. This effectively tripled the time needed to unload the truck. This cost me around $400 in additional labor costs plus additional money (maybe $150) for me to extend my truck rental and find additional movers to move the rest of my belongings. Would the facility have had the 10x15 drive up unit that I would have requested for the date and time I had requested things would have been fine. The second issue came the day I moved out. I rented a 26' truck from this facility. I showed up to get my truck, was going to use the 'self pickup' feature available online and I can't find it. Went into the shop and they said "it's because a truck was never assigned to you". They then had to check their inventory for a truck. When I got my truck it had 1/8th of a tank of gas. I feel like this is a bit ridiculous. While I'm sure that this is because previous customers didn't fill the truck up I do know that they charge a fee if you don't return the truck with the same level you left at. Seems like the store should have taken the time to put some gas in it before they passed it off to the next customer. Note: the feedback section says " Please contact the U-Haul Storage Facility and try to resolve any disputes before leaving feedback.". I didn't do this. The facility had hurdles for almost every step of my move.

So the alarm repeatedly went off at unit assigned not knowing where to swipe security card. Therefore we had to return to the office for specific location of check in device. Some inconvenience do this matter. This could have been avoided initially if it were totally explained during check in. After getting a new truck to drive to Memphis, I was supposed to have a storage unit available to rent 3 miles from my home. When I arrived at the SHelby Drive location, I was told no unit was available and had not been available for years. Was told no units were available in Memphis and one would need to be found. One was eventually found in COollierville, over 20 miles from my home, necessiating atr least 2 hours round trip to travel, retreieve my things and rreurn home. Have spent time and gas driving there with no access to my unit bc rthe manager took days to pay my "complimentary, sorry we effed up free storage.". Just had to pay movers over $300 extra bc we needed to make two trips to recieve my things in storage. The Collierville mangaer has been rude to me. He told me I should be "grateful" for them giving me a unit. No Mr. Napolean complex. I do not have to be grateful for y'all giving me a unit 25 miles from my home and to have your white staff be rude to me at every encounter. No, sir. NOt today, Satan. I have monghs of free storage availble bc it has b=never been avialble with my truck rental. I will probably never use it bc thi has been such a shitshow of an experience.

I am a student and I was paying 34,95 a month. Now that my contract was up in July. I am still being charged for October's monthly rent. I am not pleased with this level of service. I spoke with someone in the 19th letting them know that I moved out beforehand. After looking at my move out record it says I moved out on the 19th of October which is completely false. My bank account was charged -34.95. I need a refund ASAP. Just horrible

Was a bit awkward when we drove over to the unit to discover we were both assigned the same unit. The young lady on staff however quickly found the glitch, was very apologetic, and was able to assign us a new unit. Both employees were very pleasant and helpful.
