The only thing I wished for was a Uhaul location closer to me that had the 26 foot truck. I didn't have to travel far from my old place to my new place. The issue was that the Blaine locations didn't allow or have the bigger truck. So, of the 23 miles I drove, 18-19 of them was just driving from the Uhaul to my new place and back. I only put on 4 miles going between the old home and new home.

The person who checked me in argued with me over the spot on the fuel gauge and charged me 21 dollars and wouldn't let me go to put another gallon of gas in the tank. Also the truck was unsafe as the right side suspension was mushy and on several occasions made me feel that I was going to tip over from the swaying when there was a dip in the road. The unit has 168000 miles on it. I have considered and may still file a report on this truck with the DOT as I consider it unsafe for use.

Original location was Elk River for 12:00 pm pick up. We were called around 10:30 am that the prior person wouldn't have the truck back until 1:30 pm. When we went to pick up the truck at 1:30 PM the agent tried calling the person and now the truck would be back at 7:00 pm. We were sent to Coon Rapids to get a replacement truck. At Coon Rapids the agent was friendly and pulled the truck out for me. I asked him for help to use the app to note the existing damage and was told mo one uses that, just take video. When I returned the truck the agent said there was new damage. He said I didn't know how to drive a big truck and must have hit a pole at SA. I started to respond and the agent spoke over me, raised his voice and said it was new damage. I told him i heard him and to listen to me. I stated that I had a license to drive a bus and knew how to drive a large truck. When I tried to explain that I was told not to use the app, he repeated 3 times that everyone uses the app. The agent who helped me wasn't there and I was told there was no way to get ahold of him. In the end I agreed to pay the $300 damage because I had people at my house waiting to help me unpack. The agent at Coon Rapids was unprofessional, spoke over me, raised his voice and told me I just6had to pay the damage cost. U-haul didn't have a truck at the time I reservoir, mafe8me drive an additional 30 Mike's, which I was charged miles for, and then had rude agents. I do not recommend U-haul to anyone. Find another delivery compant8. Trucks aren't available at gsuranteed9 and agents very rude.

Staff are fine with renting the equipment but can not assist with any issues. We had a discount they couldn’t apply to our rental...we waited 25 minutes to find out with 3 staff members working on it, it didn’t happen. Then through this process they double charged us for the rental. The first call I made to tell them we were double charged the staff was not helpful staying, no we didn’t...yet I was looking at it on my credit card statement. He told me it was an issue with my bank. So called the bank, no I was double charged, called U haul again and talked to the manager. Way too much time spent fixing their mistakes!! We rent often and will now go to a different rental location!!!

Reserved the truck with them for a day (24 hrs) on the phone. Came in to the reservation being for only 4 hours. The owner said we were wrong and they were right in very condescending ways. He pulled up the recording of the call, which took almost 30 minutes extra of our time to prove us wrong, but it actually proved us right. He did extended the rental to the end of their business hours (an extra 6 hours), but it was still short and a pain for us to rush the move. Overall his staff was decent to us, but he was very rude and crass to my older father, and I, who had done everything right. Would highly recommend avoiding them.

Rented on Sunday At 3:45 for one day , said if we brought it back by the end of the day on Monday we would be charged for one day, brought it back on Monday before the of the work day and they what they told us was wrong and they had to charge me for two days. What a complete scam will never use u haul agai and will tell everyone I know that u haul is a bunch of crooks

When reserving a pickup truck online, there was no mention of the over 20% Rental Tax that would be charged. Knowing the additional charge may not have changed my decision, but I prefer to know the total cost prior to renting.

When I returned the truck Jake C wanted to charge me for 2 days, when I only was supposed to be charged for 1. He also got an attitude with me, this location has the worst!!! Service ever. I refuse to recommend you to anyone, until you get employees that care about customers instead of how they wanna rip off customers

Better customer care by maitaining eye contact with the customer, while signing the papers, rather than presenting a callous, rude, and prevaricating countenance, can be a start. The experience was utterly unpalatable in Coon Rapids, MN, and at the Erie steet Chicago drop off site. The attitudes were highly deplorable, to say the least. Arrogance and flat out indifference were palpable at both the sites.

I had called on the 14th of June to change my pickup location to the Blaine Uhaul as I could not get ahold of them. The guy that answered (Sam I believe) called them for me and transferred my reservation to the Blaine location for noon to 6 pm on the 30th. When I showed up at noon on the 30th they said no such reservation had been made and I was still at the CR location. So after not even receiving an apology, I head to CR and am then told my reservation was for 2 PM, not noon. So after I tell them about them transferring me to the Blaine location and that it never happened the guy that said he was the one that talked to me on the 14th was him and that they cannot transfer reservations that's done through some other service. So somehow this guy remembers talking to me specifically 16 days prior but doesn't remember telling me I was good to go. This was the most frustrated I have been in quite some time and with the stresses of moving, this was above and beyond the stress levels anyone should have to deal with. I never received an apology nor was offered anything for the mixups that were solely stemming from your end.

I had a confirmed rental for a 15 foot truck and 16 foot trailer. The trailer was not available. At first , they blamed me for showing up late and they rented to someone else only to learn the trailer had broken. I had to be out of my house the next day. Not a good situation and I will not rely on U Haul again.

This locations was great!! I had originally booked at Minneapolis Auto Center, when I arrived they did not have a truck for me. The only help I received from them was wait and one might get returned. Otherwise the guy was rude and not helpful at all!! Do no rent from this location. They should not be a U-Haul dealer!! This cost me 2 hours of move time and 40 miles of extra drive time. I had to call U-Haul customer service to get a rental truck.

The seal on the backdoor was old and worn out. It rained on my trip, and my property was damaged due to the poorly maintained equipment (door seal). I told this to the U-Haul center in Gresham where I dropped the trailer off, and received no response. I should have received a partial refund to cover the cost of my damaged property. I am very unhappy !

I reserved my uhaul well over a month in advance ask for a very specific time slot. I requested Thursday afternoon to Friday afternoon and was changed. A reservation is a reservation it shouldn’t change wether or not someone has it before or after me. That is a terrible way to do business. You’re service makes or breaks a move for people and at one point I didn’t know if I was gonna be able to move. Terrible customer service would not reccomend.

I was a little confused when I was informed I had the rental until 8:30P, my allotted 6 hours, yet not informed of the 24/7 return- I was there to return the item at 8p, only to find the location closed..( signage needs to be made bigger- I was so worried about the return, I never seen the sign) needed to make a separate trip- 40 Minutes one way to return the next am so it was there by 7a, Im a little PO to say the least, thankfully no extra charges..

It would be nice if trucks were assigned bays during pickup. I tried to use the phone pick-up option but there were so many trucks in the pickup area I couldn't find ours. I had to go inside and get help from someone. Thankfully that process only took 10 minutes or so. Overall, very clean location with friendly and knowledgable staff. The return process was less than 5 minutes and super easy.

My dates for rental were wrong on my contract, even after explaining how long I wanted to rent the trailer. I ddin't notice until I got home. Call back and talked to someone, they said they would correct things in the system and wave the added cost since it was a mistake on their end. This did not happen and had to explain things when I returned the trailer. They also gave me wrong/different information on a delivery location then what I got from calling in to set up my actual return. Location I was given to return the trailer doesn't take trailers according to 1-800 number.

There were no blankets in the back even though I requested them, the gas tank was just over 5/8 and it said 3/4 on the sheet, and my reservation was supposed to be for 72 hrs and it ended up being for 48, but staff I dealt with was nice and tried to make it work the best they could. Much better customer service than Lizzy at the Blaine location. Would never go to her or recommend the Blaine store to anyone.

I am rating the Coon Rapids location. They were awesome. My experience started out aweful at Acorn rentals but i blame bad communication and no reminder emails that i had a code to retreive for lock box. Customer service rep was rude when i was pannickiing cause moving crew was coming and i had to get truck situation resolved quickly. Once i got to Coon Rapids location it was smooth sailing and a good experience. I will never rent from a place that isnt open again.

Interior of windshield was filthy and they didn't clean it. Entire experience was poor. Don't know whose fault it was but truck was delayed 8.5 hours which really messed up our move. Staff attitude was "take it or leave it." Will never use U-Haul again.

This was not a location issue but an overall issue. I had a guaranteed pickup time at 4pm on a Friday. I did not get my truck until 5pm. Because of that I missed picking up multiple appliances from a store that closed at 5. Because of this I had to have them stored over the weekend as they were closed. This cost $100 for the 3 days. I then had to take time Monday off of work to get a new truck from a friend, drive up to the appliance place, load them up, and drive to our new home, and unload them at my house with no assistance. The movers we hired were not able to do it because they were there on Saturday and so instead of having them moved up my large stairway I had to do it myself. After filing a complaint I was refunded $50 and told that was the max amount that is ever given out if a truck is late. So their “guarantee” is only worth $50 despite that missed time costing me about $115, 3 hours of work, and a sore back. I will certainly be posting a review online as I am unsure whether other consumers will ever be able to read about my poor experience.

I went in to pick up my truck that I order and th ey said they can't send the truck I ordered one way and down graded me and charged me more. Also the manager was rude and argued with me and was about to cancel my reservation and told me to go some where else. So I filed a complaint and a gentlemen called and was very respectful and did everything to satisfy my situation. Which he did !! But I still haven't heard about my refund. I will never rent from coon Rapids again. And if I need a truck again I will not order from there or allow them to change my location. But like every company there is always a bad seed that just dont have people skills.

The store manager has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. Rude to people calling the store to harassing me every hour until I returned the truck. I will make sure that everyone I know uses a different location to avoid dealing with the horrible manager. Pretty sad when it’s the store manager you have to be worried about. The truck was in very poor condition as well. Felt like I wasn’t going to make it back without it breaking down

Truck definitely had a braking/transmission or unbalanced rear tires. It shook the whole trip and anytime I applied the brakes on the truck it would jerk forward and back considerably until I got it up to 65 miles per hour.

I reserved online for pickup at one location. At pickup time, that location did not have record of my reservation nor did they have available equipment. I received a phone call later on asking if I still needed my equipment as it was awaiting me at another site, 23 miles away. Location confirmation must occur as this error caused me to lose more than an hour, unplanned.

I would never rent from UHaul again. A 5x10 unit costs $110 per month with the required insurance! Plus 1 month in fees cost me $80. Just crazy! Now paying $40 for similar unit at locally owned place

Monthly rent increased on a regular basis. And the occasional time payments were a day or two late, after notifying them ahead of time, I was charged a late fee. Did not care for the lead manager.

Overall I had a very good experience I had left my stuff in front of my storage door the staff kept the items till I was able to come back.
