Coon Rapids location did fallow through by the end of our experience in picking up the trailer rental. Our experience was poor due to the customer service of the clerk at the Coon Rapids location when we initially went to pick up our reserved trailer. When we arrived to the location to pick up our reservation. The clerk said our reservation was canceled due to us not picking up the trailer at 9am. I further explained we did not have a reservation for 9am. The reservation was for the evening before 3pm. We asked if we could reserve another trailer since our reservation was canceled. The clerk said there were no trailers available at the Coon Rapids location. We asked him to see what other locations had a trailer available that could replace our reservation that was canceled. He told us Brooklyn Center had a trailer we could pick up. When we arrived to Brooklyn Center the clerk told us there are no trailers at the Brooklyn Center location. But that there are two trailers available at the Coon Rapids location. I asked him to please double check, we had just traveled to the Brooklyn Center location from the Coon Rapids location. He double checked and confirmed. We went back to the Coon Rapids location and spoke with an entirely different clerk than earlier at the beginning. This clerk was very helpful and accommodating after explaining all the running around and the canceled reservation by his co-worker. Spending almost four hours of going back and forth between the two locations was unnecessary. This is our first experience renting a trailer from U-Haul. The lack of communication or knowledge of the first clerk at the Coon Rapids location brings me to refer or rent from a different company that rents out trailers.

My trailer was not there and ready at 10am. The only thing I was told was that if it was not there on time they would call scheduling and see where I could pick up next. The trailer was dropped off at 10:05. It all worked out but I was on a time crunch as I had to pick up cabinets and travel 6hrs back home. Just a little frustrating when u-haul has posted everywhere on time guaranteed.

Agent took time to explain the details and used a yellow highlighter marker to show them. He arranged for the van I rented to be brought up the door and the engine was running when I got in!

the office support staff could be friendlier......both in person and over the phone.....sometimes it feels like the customer is an interruption to their busy day....maybe understaffed?

The alarm system didnt work properly. I had a guy come out yell at me about swiping my card which I did and then came and got my card and never returned. Also waited 25 minutes twice for help.

Staff sold the product incorrectly. I got a u-box and they did not specify the difference between the u-box rental and trailer rental. Because of the way they sold/described the product I scheduled incorrectly and got over charged. I got charged $40-$80 more because of the way they explained it to me, my wife, and my father. All three of us understood it the same, which means they sold the product incorrectly. When I spoke with the general manager he was not understanding or willing to work. You would think the GM would make it right since their employees are speaking for them. Probably won’t go back to this location, which is disappointing. Should have gotten some money back. Would like to speak with corporate.

The people working here did not konw what they were doing and gave us the wrong contract which in turn made us keep the truck over night and not be able to potentially return it. This then had us calling customer, where the manager did absolutely nothing but say it was my fault for not reading the fine print. This location also told us the total was around $121 when in reality we were charged $177. Overall, this experience was terrible and I would never use Uhaul again.

Forced me to upgrade to a 26foot. The truck wouldn’t fit so we couldn’t park next to the door. This probably added 3 hours to my move. We had to park in the back of the parking lot because it was so big and walk everything across. Pretty shitty service if you ask me. I said no I don’t want the 26 foot and they said that’s my only option too bad.

Overall great experience, guys were quick and had the U-Haul ready for us. Drop off the Internet was down(not their fault) so drop off we couldn’t get a receipt but received email receipt and it was spot on! Great job!

The computer system was down and caused a lot of extra work for the employees at this location and maybe other locations if it were business wide. However, despite this major inconvenience the employees did great at making sure everything was taken care of to the best of their abilities. If you can navigate your smart phone or even have a smart phone, I would highly recommend this way of doing things anyways. Thanks U-Haul of Coon Rapids, MN!

Check in and check out was professional and courteous. I jumped in the van and drove off, gas gauge needle close to full. When I returned the van, I put in 8.625 gallons. I only drove it 50 miles--that comes out to 5.8 miles/gallon. Didn't think the gas mileage in a cargo van was that lousy. Perhaps the gas tank wasn't full when I departed?

I would never rent from UHaul again. A 5x10 unit costs $110 per month with the required insurance! Plus 1 month in fees cost me $80. Just crazy! Now paying $40 for similar unit at locally owned place

Monthly rent increased on a regular basis. And the occasional time payments were a day or two late, after notifying them ahead of time, I was charged a late fee. Did not care for the lead manager.
