Phone customer service is horrible. Can never get anyone to answer the phone. After being put on hold for extended amounts of time, I held as long as 25 minutes. Never got anyone in the store to answer. A central answering station answers and they have no clue what goes on in the stores. They ate just interested in taking your money. Rude, at best A simple question can waste 30 minutes of your day. Rediculous. The personnel in the store were very helpful.

The guy at the counter helping me wasn’t especially helpful. I was trying to check in using the app. It kept changing U-Haul locations on me when I was already at the location. It asked for money so I paid it. Then it wouldn’t let me change the location before entering. It moved locations on me again. At the end of working the app and it not staying on my current order I’d held 3 U-Haul at 3 different locations. And no one could refund the extra $200 as quick as the app takes it. I remember the last time I used the app it didn’t do all that. I told guy at the counter at this location and he had the attitude of it wasn’t his problem. Well it isn’t. But him working for uhaul May have some idea on how I can fix it. But he took the next $300 something dollars from me fine, handed me a dolly and pointed me towards a truck ok.

Overall it was a good experience. Y'all NEED to not have to validate an emergency contact. I understand 1000000% the need for an emergency contact, but the fact that the store needs to call them and validate the additional contact is the dumbest thing ever. Also I called this location/ uhaul number provided and I was on hold for over 25 minutes without being helped before hanging up. besides those 2 things it was good.

The office staff were helpful and I didn't have any problems with the truck. My only suggestion is that the floor of the store was quite crowded with boxes and other materials. Could be better organized.

No one walked the vehicle with me and verified mileage, condition etc. The dolly in the cargo area was not secured and I found out when I opened the door and it fell out on to me. The appliance dolly I rented was damaged, the deck was bent so I had to lift my appliances up further than normal to get it underneath and then had to rock it back to secure. No one mentioned that I had to check in on my phone or I was subject to an additional charge (what if I didn't have a smart phone?) Thankfully there was still someone there that informed me. And the location services wasn't working so I had to come back with the keys the next morning to avoid the charge. I've used this location on multiple occasions, and won't likely return.

Was texted a drop-off location for the trailer many miles away from where I am in Austin. I called the pick-up location to ask if I could drop it off closer to where I am and was told that the manager would have to go into the system and change it otherwise I might get fined for dropping off the trailer at the "wrong" location. I got a a location in Austin and was told I could drop it off at any location that accepts U-Haul vehicles.

I used GPS to determine the distance we would need to travel prior to renting the truck. However, when I returned the truck, the mileage I was charged for was at least 14 miles over what the GPS indicated. Please double check that the speedometers in your vehicles are actually working correctly.

When I retested the uhaul I went back inside the store to return a lock that o didn’t need. The lady at the counter was getting yelled at over and over my a different customer. Not once did she lose her composure. I was very impressed with her. Well job!

I had a reservation that was suppose to reduce time at the counter it did not. I got there at 7AM and I had to have two alternate numbers where they had to talk to the individual, at 7AM, really? I had a question about tolls and all I got was a very Curt answer, "we don't pay tolls." Which was not was I was asking. I just wanted to know the process so I could pay. So I avoided tool road which added time and expense because I went over the allotted miles. Come to find out there is a policy and I would have been billed.

I rented a one-way trailer from Houston to Rockport. The manager in Houston told me i could drop trailer off in any location in Corpus Christi. I did and then the service location in Rockport called me three times asking where the trailer was.

The person “helping” at the counter when I picked up seemed clueless with the process. I had done the quick checkout on-line including uploading my drivers license and credit card but was asked for this information as if he had never seen it. When I asked what good the quick checkout did he said he could use the credit card I had entered on-line for the rental. Also I was asked for a secondary contact for the rental which I gave and was told they had to call them for verification. I am a 55 yr. old man and felt I was being treated as a teenager when he called my wife for verification for me to rent a trailer. I rent vehicles very often and have rented from u-haul before and have never had this happen before. This seems somewhat excessive. Also when returning there was no one in the office but there was a customer. The lady there said she had been there for about 15 minutes and no employees were around. Her son and I walked around the building and found an employee connecting a trailer to a customers truck. He said he was the only one there and would be in as soon as possible. When I returned to the office the employee that “helped” me when picking up appeared to be returning from lunch and came into the office and helped the other customer. Not very good service overall.

Are there always only 2 people working this location? It seems they were busy enough for 4 when I picked up my rental and 6 when I went to return it. The line was at least 6 trucks long and seemed to be going super slow. I didn't have half an hour to wait, so I ended up just dropping off the trailer and going on my way. It all worked out well, although it doesn't look like it was actually checked in for an hour after I dropped it off.

This location needs more employees . I and another couple stood in lobby for a long time . No one was there to assist . Finally I walked around the outside and finally found an employee who appeared to be working on his own vehicle . He seemed embarrassed as he blundered through a contract for my rental . About 2 hours later , I returned my truck and again no one around . Finally I found a lady who was overwhelmed. She explained to write my email address on the contract and she would email me later with the final bill . Other people were there attempting to buy boxes and another couple bringing back their rental . A royal hot mess . Fortunately I don’t have to rent trucks very often , the stress of this location is totally off the scale ...

I registered online and thought when I arrived, everything would run smoothly. When I arrived, it took longer than I thought and the clerk was going to charge me extra for insurance I did not want. I told him to remove it and he did. The return process was horrible because I had to use the app since the store was closed. It was dark and scary outside and the app kept asking for pics before I returned the keys to the truck to the key slot. In the future, I will turn my truck in before the store closes. Not a good experience this time.

As we were loading the truck one of my friends or I must have accientally bumped/kicked the moving dolly attached to the truck wall and broken the seal. This triggered a $7 rental fee for the dolly upon returning the equipment. I emailed and later spoke with Ryan at Uhaul , explained what happened and he refunded me the fee no problem whatsoever. Although not a lot of money, it was still great to see that the staff provides such great customer service. If heaven forbid a big problem ever occured, I am confident you would be treated well. Thanks Uhaul! As we are still in the process of moving, I will be completing the remainder of my move using equipment from your shop! In my opinion by giving you repeat business, I am a highly satisfied customer.

The customer service level at this location was unacceptable, upon me returning the truck I observed two employees sitting and one on her phone (arie) she ask if I was returning and I replied yes she then said just leave the keys and we’ll email your receipt I asked if there were a check of the truck she replied again we’ll email it to you I started to leave and ran into the manager outside and ask if there were a check in of the truck he replied they probably was busy and call one out to check the truck in from that point her attitude was poor she jumped in the truck and did her check and jumped out and walked off with her back towards me stating the total she seemed upset she had to come out. I partner with the manager and told him my experience and he said he would talk with her I told him I still wanted to contact corporate and said I could do so but it will just come back to him I said ok and left. I would like to say I am a manager of over 200+ employees and I know what great service looks like and I am very disappointed with what occurred today and how it made me feel as a customer and will not return my business to your company nor will I recommend this company

The person that was "helping" me was unfriendly and dismissive. Also very slow, showing no sense of urgency to complete the transaction and put me on the road. Apparently he 'couldn't find a printer" because the counter was been repaired and instead trying to find a solution he sat back in his chair and waited for someone else to tell him what to do. Very disappointing as I used u-Haul several times and this is the very first time i felt like i was an inconvenience more than a respected customer.

The only issue I had was that several times there were U-haul trucks being stored in the small number of parking spaces next to the dock which limited the access to the storage facility.
