I was disappointed that we were charged a small â€œover mileageâ€ fee. This would not have occurred had we been able to pick the truck up at the place I had initially requested. As it was, we picked it up 10 miles away, which then put us over our mileage. Because it wasn't a significant amount, I didn't complain, but I feel that if you can't deliver equipment at the specified place, it shouldn't count against the customer's mileage.William B.

Reserved a 15ft box truck and it was not available when we showed up to pick it up. We had to settle for a van and use our van as well to get all my daughters apartment packed up. Online check in and drop off did not work either. Not the experience we expected. You should not rent thinks you don't have on site!Bethany S.

I would have given U-Haul storage an excellent review But upon my move day on July 28, 2022 after having my belongings in there for two years and four months, as the movers were taking out my furniture and storage bins, I had black on numerous belongings, A number of the storage bin tops were covered in this black along with my antique cloak stand, my leather couch, the top of my dining room table, and a lampshade that was completely destroyed by the Black. I haven't looked closely to all my belongings so I could find more as I start to unpack and look over my other furniture. I know it could have been worse but I paid the higher amount in the controlled climate storage units to keep my belongings safe from the elements. When I took pictures and showed Gabrielle she informed me that they worked on the roof over my storage unit. Being that moving days are always stressful, I did not put up a big stink about it at the time but Gabrielle did Give me the number of the insurance company that U-Haul uses. I will give them a call. I was told we could bring a picture of the ID of the person that was driving the truck, that they didn't have to be there. I called to confirm this, and was told this information a second time! When we got there, they said they had to have the person there on site! This added to the stress of our move. Your regional office, and booking reps need education and retrained.Carol Ann M.
I had a 15 ft truck that didn't want to go into reverse unless you first put it into park. Also the dome light inside the cab doesn't work. The truck was too bouncy like maybe a rear shock needed replaced. Makes me think no maintenance is done on your vehicles.Bernie D.
We scheduled a pick up for 6 pm however we were not even helped until nearly 6:30. The employees were nowhere to be found with phones ringing non stop and alarms going off while we stood in the warehouse building. Finally a guy came back and then walked away from helping us two times to help another woman who was outside. We were on a tight schedule and we were half an hour late to pick up our couch and get home for our kids bedtime.Ashley B.

Kid dressed in street clothes came to my friend then me telling me that we damaged the roof on a van. Not a chance. Issues should go thru management to the customer. He had no idea what he was talking about.Roger H.
The truck was filthy in the cab. I submitted a photo in my pre-check. The back had leftover items from the last renter that my son and I had to remove for the employee helping us. I submitted a complaint to dispute the charge, was informed I'd be called to reach resolution, and was not called. I was overcharged for both gas fees and cleaning fees.Jessie C.

The only employee on staff wouldn't acknowledge or respond when customers would speak to him, and walked/worked incredibly slow. But, he would do exactly what he was supposed to, even if he didn't acknowledge your presence, and would give you a receipt. So he still did his job well on a Sunday I suppose, just not a great customer service kind of person.Nick C.

You could use more help at the rental counter, there was only one person working at 9:00 am and she had four other customers after me. I hooked up the trailer by myself and had to waite for her to check it before I could leave.walt G.
Staff was late opening store and rude upon arrival. We'd ordered several dozen furniture pads with our rental truck weeks in advance; The store had one half dozen (6 pads TOTAL) available and basically let us know we were out of luck and could try other stores--exactlly what you have time to do when you are trying to load a 26 foot truck and move across the country. This is why I ORDERED them and PAID FOR THEM in advance. Truck had construction debris in it when we got it home and had clearly just been repaired--it smelled strongly of something like airplane glue. A huge gash in the side of the truck had been repaired and was not really ready for rental. The glue was still wet and the patch wasn't very strong. Really unacceptable and have never experienced this with U-Haul before.Cher H.
The length of time to talk to someone is horrible. When we picked up the vehicle it was not what we had ordered, the car hauler was bent and mangled and seemed unsafe. The final cost for the rental was a lot more than originally quoted. Not super impressed, but I guess the truck made it home safely.david W.
I ordered and paid for Flat TV Covers and when we picked up. The store was out this should not have happened the day I picked we picked up the truck. Our order should have been set aside as sold. We are not impressed with our self-check of the truck upon pick. Our society needs more personal face to face service not less. (Though, We did appreciate sending the second driver a link to add his drivers license. Please hire more staff. No one should be alone to service customers!Terry V.

Myself and two others waited inside for 30 minutes before an employee came in to help up. Once in there she was distant and not very knowledgeable. She kept stating how she was doing two orders at once (myself and woman in front of me) as if we were supposed to be impressed by our bad service. Truck wasn't parked at the location, I had to drive to pick it up. He said that the gas was at a quarter but it was actually halfway between empty and quarter. Imagine me picking up a truck with little to no gas in it. What kind of service is this? He was sitting playing a game on his phone when I got there. He could've utilized this time to fill it up instead. Upon returning it, I mentioned that I used 1 out of the 4 packs of blankets, asked if I will get reimbursed they said no. And then charged me $39 for gas. I literally drove it for 18 mins total. Complete nonsense, terrible experience. 100 % will not come back and will advise against it.Wafik S.

There was only one person working and the customer before me had an issue with a dead battery in his truck, so it took nearly 30 minutes for me to get my truck. Shouldn't have to wait nearly that long and I felt bad for the UHaul staff person who was working alone.Shawn B.
uhaul gave us the incorrect staging location of the uhaul. Spent an hour looking for it to find it was behind the building, across the street, in a pitch black gravel lot with only 1 other truck. The extras I ordered: a dolly and dozen blankets, were not ready nor supplied. No key to the cargo lock was provided. I spoke with their customer service about all these issues, she â€œnotedâ€ for a $30 refund on the total purchase price and that was never issued.Samantha S.

Uhaul abuses its power and the way it treats it's customers is a disgrace - they charged me for damages I did not cause. They were not cooperative and treated me terribly when I tried working with them to resolve the issue. I have filed a fraud claim against them. Had an issue with my unit being canceled and a different facility at 800 Talamadge ave Akron Ohio said they didn't have a unit that size and tried to give me a bigger unit for twice the amount! Our storage unit had a significant amount of rust like material that had fallen from the ceiling. We swept it out ourselves before placing our stuff inside. There were no trash receptacles in which to dump the sweepings. In all fairness to the attendant on duty, he was working solo and he tried to encourage me to accept a better unit. Had storage here close to a year. Never had any issues. Unit was the perfect size for what I needed. Anytime I dealt with staff, they were very helpful. Gabe, the manager originally helped me out. She was very polite and helped me get everything set up. I then started dealing with Shelby for a while when I went in. She was extremely polite, always working on something in the store, and doing a great job at keeping the place clean. I wish I could hire someone like her for my business. Keep up the work. I am having issues with the bar lock in the door- it doesn't slide over and the employee yesterday was no. To happy to assist me.. we finally got it slid over so that I could lock my u it but it still is not working as it should.. it doesn't slide over to lock the unit and the employee was not helpful at all and made me consider just cancelling unit… it I have issues everytime I need it locked that is NOT OKAY.Cara B. | Premières impressions

My experience was wonderful. Very easy and everyone was always so helpful! Super friendly and always willing to help with any questions. My only offer for feedback would be to check the facility for moisture control,and possibly carpenter bees? Upon cleanout, we noticed some mildew smell (and saw evidence on the AC tubes) and we had sawdust from something that resembled carpenter bees on some of our items. We were not upset in any way, it comes with an older building, but just wanted to let you know. All in all we would totally use this facility again and I have already recommended it to others. I described to the lady exactly what it was I was putting in storage she took it upon herself to pick me a unit that she assured me will fit everything I described to her... when I arrived to was no bigger than a child's closet... I explained all of the to the staff and they told me it was nothing they could do to help me.... I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE... We paid $170 a month for an indoor temperature controlled unit. When we moved out this weekend many of our furniture items were damaged with rusty brown water stains. Pieces of furniture are ruined. The overall experience was great I would recommend I would advise a call system those days that Uhaul location is short staff just because the wait time can get really ridiculous I've waited 45 minutes before just to swit h the Uhaul storage unit size. The supervisor initially tried to double charge for the "first month free" wanting me to have the month of June as a no paying month. (pay two months upfront). However, I'm on a fixed income and could not arrange other bills accordingly. The store quoted me "$100" a month but in actuality the monthly cost is "$128.00." They refused to send me the appropriate invoice for payment the month of May until I filed a complaint. I have yet to receive an invoice for my "July 2021" payment.linda f. | Premières impressions
This UHaul facility, in Cuyahoga Falls, made it easy to move. All of the employees are efficient and helpful. They treated me with respect. I only had my unit for 6 months and every single time I came to the unit my swipe card did not work even though I was told it would, It said I needed to be checked in so I would have to walk all the way around the building to the office where I originally got the unit and every single time no one was there. On my move out day June 1st 2021 my movers showed up at 9am and it was supposed to be open at 8am, I had to walk all the way down and around the building to find no one in the office again, I was very frustrated because I was paying the movers by the hour so it was wasting more of my time and money. I understand if they are understaffed but it is absolutely unacceptable for them to not have anyone supervising that desk when customers are coming in. (5/22/21) We got there after an online move in and the unit was locked, we called someone he came after we waited for at least 10 minutes. When unlocked there were things in the unit that belonged to uhaul. The man helping me said he was going to talk to a manager and we were left waiting for over 25 minutes for him go come back while being unable to move in our things. There was supposed to be a lock waiting for us in the unit when we got there and there wasn't so after making us wait for we'll over half an hour total I then was told I had to drive around to the other side of the building to pick up my lock myself. I get over to the office and no one is there and I stand waiting for 5 minutes while the phone is ringing and no one picks up or comes to help me. I then was greeted with an attitude. If we hadn't already paid and didn't have another option I wouldn't have stayed. I had a very bad experience I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.Lana H. | Online Move In

Very poor integrity of the locker door! It would seem to retract all the way up so we could access our items then fall down a few feet all the sudden on us. One person would have to hold it will the other treid to pull things out. Bad experiance! When explained to the person checking me out he didnt seem to care or have a comment!
