Overall it was outstanding. My one issue was the size of the vehicle and the challenges driving around Danbury. I had to turn around several times because of low bridges, which was not easy. I would recommend discussing this with customers and providing a map for routes in different directions.STEVENALAN C.

The only positive I have was that the young kid that checked me in after I brought the truck back was very polite. The rest of the experience was terrible. I ordered the uhaul over a week in advance, I was told the NIGHT BEFORE that there wouldn't be a furniture dolly available via text message. had I been given notice, I could would have changed locations or rented a dolly from somewhere else. The check in process was also poor. One of my â€œadditional contactsâ€ received a text message and no phone call so they could not verify him, and I could not re enter his information, even though he was right next to me, and his was the â€œalternate driverâ€ listed on the uhaul. Finally, I hadn't noticed until I was on the highway that the hood of the uhaul was OPEN, which could have caused a major accident, and could've killed me. As a Realtor, I've been recommending uhauls to customers, but after this experience I will warn rather than recommend.Brandi H.

The uhaul in Danbury was disorganized. I returned the truck and the young lady sent me to the front desk where I waited for 15 minutes for someone to showup. Then two young men showed up and the clerk took care of them first. So I waited another 10 minutes while they decided if they could afford a truck. Then the clerk decided to take another customer ahead of me so I complained which almost started an altercation between the customers and my safety was threatened.REYNOLDO R.

I am very please with the location. But the uhaul website did not allow me to drop off and finalize the rental transaction after hour. After a long day moving, which took longer than I anticipated, it was very frustrating. I changed the parameters and settings of my phone to allow the location and nothing (screen shots of my phone to prove it). We called customer service and we had been put on hold for an excruciating amount of time. NOT HAPPY WITH THE AFTER HOURS DROP OFF services. I had a issues with the track. Essentially at the end of the trip, I filled the tank with gas but the gas gage was not working and did not recognize the full tank. The Customer Service Rep at 75 Division Street told me that they would have to charge me for the gas. I asked to speak to the Manager. The CS person went inside to get the manager, but emerged only to tell me that the Manager (Chelsea) said that they are going to charge me and would not come out and speak with me. This is very poor management and bad customer service. Terrible job by the folks at 75 Division Street in Danbury. Not only do I pay the price for poorly maintained equipment, but the managers does not not speak with me directly to discuss the issue. Will be my last time using UHAL,Stephen B.

Traveled from Danbury, CT To Marathon, Fl. When I arrived to me destination I noticed that the trailer leaked. My 500 $Shark vacuumed and my 1 000 $Camera are now no longer usable. Very unhappy. I'm so grateful for the way Tony at U-Haul Moving & Storage of Danbury helped everything go so smoothly yesterday when we unloaded two trailers (one after a cross-country drive!) and moved into a storage unit at the facility here in Connecticut. Tony was polite, efficient, fair, and good at his job, but more than that, I was struck by his warmth - talking to him, you know he wants to help you. What I'd anticipated would be a stress-filled day of tight connections and challenging logistics turned into a joy. From little things like recommending the best products for protecting our mattress and sofas to helping to quickly resolve a billing question, Tony really was the cherry on top of a two-week cross-country moving odyssey. My wife and I felt so taken care of, to the point that we were sad to say goodbye to Tony when our storage unit move-in and trailer returns were complete. Hi, Facility generally in very good condition. Where there is opportunity here is with the staff. One female staffer runs the show and is clearly a leader. I have no disputes. However I told the person at the desk to whom I handed over the keys that though I wanted NOTHING back the room I was vacating, it contained several boxes of brand new and expensive books, video cassettes, CDCs, sheets of stamps for collectors, unused new greeting cards for all occasions, unopened packages of stationery etc etc and it broke my heart that all this would be thrown into garbage. I pleaded that the boxes be opened and checked and these materials be salvaged NOT FOR RETURN TO ME but either to be kept by an employee for personal use or for sale or for donation to library or goodwill stores. I was promised that not only would this be done but that any bank statements that may be there would be shredded and that any family photographs that may be found would be returned to me or I would be called to pick them up. The lady even asked me for my phone number and wrote it down. She promised that I would be informed. My only regret is that I have not heard a word from your office in this matter. So, NO DISPUTES, ONLY REGRETS, I feel that someone who had the storage for years deserved this courtesy. Minor issue: I usually had to find staff to get the sliding glass door unlocked during normal open hours. The main door has a large threshold that makes it difficult to move a heavy or fully loaded cart into the facility without risk of damage from items falling off. This can get pretty frustrating when you need to move a large volume of items in a hurry. It'd be less of an issue if the threshold of the main door is fixed to allow carts to easily roll in. Otherwise, it's a great facility and I'd be happy to rent a space again if I return to the Danbury area.Jonathan M. | Expérience générale
