On my move out day i found 3 dead little mices in the mist of my belongings.
I have been using rentals and storage units different times..
Employees do not explain fees charged and terrible customer service. Assistant manager unprofessional
Give the customer a discount since U-Haul is now using covid as an excuse to make the customer do the majority of the work of checking in, dropping off,, confirming mileage,, cleanliness, etc.

at the same pick up location first Engine start i saw dashboard oil lamps open, i Turn it i stop at same pick up location to Solve this problem i called the costumer Service and they transfer me to the maintenance and the maintenance Transfer me back to the customer service I spent one hour and 20 minutes in same pick up Location Between holds , so i decide to cancel this reservation because I'm so late to done my work they told me the manager is going to call you to get your money back within 3 days . so i will cancel my account and i do t want to rent again.

Unfortunately, everything inside my unit was ruined. I wish someone could’ve called and told me there was rodents!
The location and equipment needs a serious makeover/updating. There is an active pest/mice problem which is why I left, choosing to take my belongings to another storage facility
Great service - both pick up and return.
I have nothing else to add for this visit . Everything went well and exceeded my expectations.
When the vehicles are returned, the interior should be vacuumed, wiped down and deoderized for the next customer. My vehicle smelled like cigarettes and could have used a wipe down and vacuum.

The transmission in the truck is going bad. Dangerous. Staff and location was great. Drop off guy admitted that they new the transmission in the vehicle was not optimal.
Very impressed with this place. They have a clearly marked return location.
I no longer recommend uhaul to my fellow military members. Trucks are not maintained. Facilities do not honor posted access times. Storage facilities infested- and their supplemental insurance does not cover your losses. My family incurred a $2800 replacement cost of a front load washer/dryer set due to rodents chewing wires and nesting, our couch was chewed and covered in feces... their insurance does not cover rodent damage. I was ripped off, and left feeling disgusted. Never again. Shame, U-haul used to be an upstanding company to do business with.
Truck ran hot and had to stop which put me behind schedule.
Clean comfortable riding truck. No problems for the 70+ one way drive. I fought high winds halfway there and it handled perfectly. I only had one problem when I brought the truck back to its destination. I couldn't find the return button to check back in due to not remembering my password. When I got home and tried to check it in on my laptop I couldn't find the return button after logging in. I sent an email to headquarters alerting them that I didn't want any overdue charges due to not being able to check-in. My receipt was correct the following day. All is well, life is good.
Although the Truck was clean and seemed well maintained ....It was not a very good pc of equipment. This is no fault of the people there ! They were very good .....But if I had bought that truck....I would be disappointed !

I sat in the truck forever waiting for a guy to tell me what to do. He was cleaning another truck and just kept ignoring me until I approached him. I've called the manager AJ at this location 5x to ask a question I've left 2 voicemails and NEVER have gotten a return call.
It's awkward to keep distanced in this store - but the attempt is being made. Store could also use some refresh.
Nothing to improve from my experience. Very efficient in and out. Given the zero contact nature of the current pandemic, everything was well done

Customer service is awesome! I had an issue checking the truck back in after hours, but that may have been a cellphone issue. Also, please be sure the truck is cleaned/sanitized between patrons, especially during the pandemic.
The guy did not have help he called for help it took ten minutes for three other cashiers to come up to help with the long line
The cab of the truck was very smelly, however the truck ran perfectly.
Charged way too damn much. I paid damn near 360$ just for 3 day and this was local in Dayton Ohio.
You're driver literally banged the vehicle into another one trying to pull it out. Was smoking in the parking lot AND the truck when taking me to it. Same employee was talking about how "Josh" quit earlier that day and he sucked AND forgot to put my dolly on the truck, costing me an HOUR worth of travel time in my own vehicle to pick it up.
Picked end of month to move my daughter, location was clean and well organized just a bit more of a drive out of the way. this was mainly because of busy weekend.
The step is high for me. Half way through the day I was extremely tired of having to pull myself up on that high step.
Originally had a reservation on Brandt Pike. Got there, no 15 foot trucks. Besides me it was two other clients in line. Sent us 25 miles away. The truck I was driving the transmission was going out. I was two hours behind schedule.
Upon returning the truck I pulled into the lot and within 1.5 minutes a very nice and pleasant young man ( Jeff Coots) greeted me, "Hi, How are you doing today? and "how did everything go!" as I handed him the keys I said " Hi, I'm doing good and everything went well Thank you ". We had a little more conversation and he informed me that my receipt would be sent to my Email. I will definitely reccomend this U-haul location to others.

Great customer service and very helpful staff. The storage needs frequent walk throughs to insure that people are there who are renting units and not just hanging out trying to steal stuff

After paying for my storage unit around 5pm, I was told it would be unlocked by the time I returned later that night to access it. When I returned at 9pm, a lock was still on the unit forcing me to return once again the next morning during business hours. This prevented me from being able to return the truck at the scheduled drop off time. Thankfully, I was not charged with another day for the truck at the drop off location after explaining what happened.

Good afternoon, My overall experience with U-Haul was a good one. I was greeted by a pleasant young man the day I moved my stuff into the storage. My original request was for a larger unit, after paying for the larger unit walking to the back this unit was already reserved. We walked back to the front, he asked about refunding me the difference since I now needed to downsize. The manager on duty told him, "not to worry about it, I would receive a credit the next month." The day I signed up for the unit I explained I would only need the unit for two weeks, I was informed U-haul doesn't prorate so I would be paying for the whole month. Fine no problem I needed the unit. I walk in on Friday July 31, 2020 to inquire about my refund and inform the staff I was moving out. I was then again informed the funds would be refunded to my card on file. I don't question anything the same information was provide by two different employees. Fast forward to an email telling me I was going to be charged a late fee. I make my way to the U-haul store on E. Third street to inquire about the late and why my money wasn't refunded to my account. I found out the overpayment was applied to the next month, even though I moved out and informed the staff the morning of. When the manager on dust asked me how he could help, my request was simple make sure your team understands and is aware of the information they are passing along to customers. As a customer it's not my job to know your system or how it works, it's also not my jo to police units prior to paying for it. Add the system been properly updated I would have been informed prior to paying for the unavailable unit. Easy fix I would have been offered the small unit and charged for proper amount. Customer service is key for me, I had not problem paying for the unit, I do have a problem not getting what I paid for the bigger unit. Best regards, Kia A. Richardson

Thank you for the opportunity to express our opinion and share our experience with our rental unit. We had a very bad experience and would like to offer the feedback. The day after my daughter and I rented the storage unit, we returned to drop off some more items. We walked into the storage unit, and to say the place was an incredible mess is a giant understatement. We have a video clip of what we came across upon entering the storage unit, as it appeared everything was grossly vandalized. The isles were so cluttered with miscellaneous items and broken glass that we could not get through to get at our unit. We were slightly frightened as we did not know if there were perpetrators of any sort still in the building, and no other customers or staff were around to assist if any danger presented itself. We then left the building to go to the office and report what we found, and a staff member came to check it out. He was very nice and offered to clear a path but it was obvious this was going to take quite a long while. We were not able to wait for this as we were heading out of town, so we needed to send our items with a friend as they did not fit in our vehicle (the reason we rented the storage unit in the first place). We now need to make arrangements to drive to Chicago (3 hours away) to pick these items up. We tried to call the GM of the Dayton location, AJ Ross, on 3 separate occasions but did not receive a call back. He did finally respond to an email and simply stated, it was an auction and things got out-of-hand. He did not offer anything in the form of compensation for this despite being asked. He just did not reply any further. Please feel free to call for any additional information or clarification. We would share the video of what we witnessed as well. We will also be taking this to a higher level as this is really quite unacceptable service.
I had over ten thousand dollars worth of things stolen from my uhaul truck when I’m the possession of the third street uhaul in Dayton ohio
So the staff were super nice, but gave us pretty confusing directions to get to our storage unit. It was so hot out and we had to move our stuff more than once because we were confused about which door to go into. Overall, it was overly confusing. I think that someone should go with you to your unit instead of you trying to figure it out based off of confusing directions. Now that I know how to get in, I’m sure it won’t be a problem. Just took way way way longer than needed to find our unit in the first place.
Great customer service..
Uhaul was recommended to me from a family friend. I had the insurance for my rental unit. All of my things were covered in mice urine, feces and bed bugs. Upon filing my claim was told that insurance does not cover bedbugs. I lost everything! This location has very rude workers.
Everyone was so helpful from beginning to end. I very much enjoyed the overall experience
Please cease any contact with me. I have no knowledge of Eugene,s intentions. He has moved what he wanted out. Anything left he left because he didn’t want it.

Started well but got progressively worse. Final straw was dealing with Mark, the “president.” Horrible customer service dealing with issues. Treated me disrespectfully. UHaul is off my list for good.
Despite handling a large volume of customers, both u-haul personnel were friendly and helpful. After driving for four days, I really appreciated their courtesy.
After dealing directly with the staff I was told they closed out both my rentals on 2 separate occasions and was inconveniently charged for both units. I called 3 times total in order to get it fixed.
Ryan was so nice and super helpful. Made a rough day so much easier.

Because you are such a sought after facility, it can be difficult to reach you at that location by telephone. Other than that, this is a wonderful place to do business!

Why on the world would you sand the floors of a facility without properly sealing off all units?
the stuff worked with me since i had no income at all but then when i was moving out they went raising my rent with fee and interests like crazy so i could not afford to finish my move

Not helpful when my lock, that they told me to buy from them broke. I was told it was my fault. This has happened to me the past three years when using this storage unit.
A 24 hour access card was a valuable thing while moving in and out. I love me some u-haul. Lol

Main door was broken, always appeared open because of the damage. Hours of operation were restricted unless paying a premium. Even during business hours the garage doors were not unlocked- had to call

The facility was clean but I had mouse bm in and on some of my things. I had to throw out. It was people cleaning up and living in there storage. One lady was walking around smoking. staff is nice

Freight elevator malfunctioned twice while we were trying to unload. Cancelled contract immediately, but have been billed twice. Staff was helpful in trying to resolve the issue.

I do NOT recommend this storage facility. The facility is not maintained well, constantly losing payment checks mailed to them and new staff every 6 months.
The timing of the offer to rent was perfect for me. I wounded my hand and required surgery a week after my arrival so having taken the offer provided me the time to move my items at a slower pace.
We stored our belongings for over 8 years and everything was as good as when we placed them into storage.
