Renting several times from this location, staff consistently apologizes for how long process takes, due to computers/servers very slow. My one complaint with the process!
CHRIS SSuper easy-I used the app. I needed to pick up the van early, so I called. I spoke with a young woman who was polite and professional and confirmed that I was able to pick up the van early. When I arrived, she and other staff members helped me. She stood out as knowing what she was doing and was clearly a leader.
JEROME SI understand I booked it last minute on a Sunday, but the furniture pads and dollies were not in the truck when I arrived on Monday at 11am. The utility dolly was not available at this location, but I think I was still charged for it anyway.

PAUL AI was overcharged for fuel in part because of the gauge graph placed on the contract. I was told pre-rental that in order to not overfill the gas tank I should follow the graph on the contract. So when I was ready to return the vehicle, after driving 22 miles, I followed the gauge that was on the contract and refueled the vehicle 1,5 gallons. Later my invoice indicated I was charged for 3 more gallons of fuel. I question how for 22 miles I used 4,5 gallons of gas. When I called the location to question the fuel charge I spoke to the least helpful person, who should never be allowed to answer a telephone. After 10 frustrating minutes I decided that it wasn't worth questioning $17 to deal with a knucklehead. Point is, without that graph on the contract I'd have probably refilled with a couple more gallons. But instead that graph and being told NOT to overfill the gas tank cost me more in fuel charges than I believe I actually used.

Phil BThe truck was clean, but there is nothing smooth about the ride. It had a wicked vibration. I've rented 26' trucks before and I owned a 26ft class C RV and this indicated to me something wasn't right. The last 26' uhaul i rented was much smoother and didn't bounce furniture around as much. Be sure to tie everything stacked to the walls. The staff was great and very helpful at the Reno location. The gas was at 1/3 rd tank however and they had marked the contract with half tank so be sure to check the contract beside leaving.

Phil BWhen I picked up the trailer, UHaul failed to tighten the trailer hitch ball. When I say failed to tighten I mean whatsoever, this installation step was skipped and the trailer was riding the ball using only gravity. I discovered this only after I had left Uhaul and was just lucky that the trailer did not come loose before I discovered the problem. I'll certainly be more watchful next time. This employee needs more training and supervision.

JANET Rr stating I could only enter after speaking with manager I sought help with city of Reno which said it be a civil matter and Reno Police saying there was nothing they could do day 2 A WASH 3RD Owners money guy showed spoke to security and I was told manager was off that security would be assisting 2 days moving 9to5 non stop filled 15' box van which in NO WAY was going to fit in 5x10 unit which employee's I would think should know so being unable to unload truck and no money left to get larger or 2nd unit I called Uhaul let them know situation and that I would not have money til following Friday was told I would only be charged for days I had truck which if didn't have such a horrendous muffler leak would probably use less gas (just sayin) but trying to get photo thru somewhat funny means tell me if you feel truck is at risk then maybe other arrangements could've suggested by No Means of my own doing am I having to keep truck I asked for larger shed none was available when checking in I asked for larger shed apparently was ignored and now I'm 2 days in on a $250 bill cause no one could be bothered with providing customer assistance you got the number call it otherwise I'll be in Friday like I told the hott blk chick that answered phone and who's name escapes me, but no I would never refer u-haul and have no desire to be a preferred driver with such poorly maintained vehicles. 7755643299

My things are my things and I want to keep them and I have you to thank, this last year was demonic and that's getting justice as well. I've come thru the worst of it and I'm a money magnet they were blocking everything this last year, first responders had to come out and save me while I already had security. Rich monsters don't care unless you show them strength and that's exactly what I did. I survived. And shortly I've just recently gotten some oxygen and I'm going to pay my debt in full. I promise!

Also, the unloading/loading dock was frequently being used for general parking. A few times I had to carry heavy items much further than I should have. One time I noticed it was an employee. Other than that it was very nice. We would definitely come back if the need was there. Merci

I've had in just the past 1,5 years four increases and another notice that a new increase was again coming. Uhaul should have charged more for the new facility and left the long time customers in the old building at the just one time per year increases. I could no longer afford to stay. I've moved to another temp controlled facility and I'm saving $120 p/mth - which is significant.

The entire process of packing and moving was made doable because of Tonya and Brad. Tonya was beyond the best secretary and PR person ever. She always helped and answered my questions. She reassured me when I had to move a huge truck of furniture. Her husband Brad, was the same type of helpful person. I think U Haul at this address has by far the best workers. Brad had to show me how to get into the storage area more than once. He got me thru a key issue when I lost my key to my lock. No wonder this UHaul has grown with personnel like Tonya and Brad. Also I want to commend Phil, the owner, Cayden, and every other employee of this UHaul. The halls were always clean. The lights were bright and came on as I approached my unit with clean dolly's.

Michael L | Expérience généraleAt this facility, I had an enjoyable experience. Upon arrival of my original reservation, if you came obvious that my storage unit selected was too small. I was, however, able to upgrade to a much larger unit that you did in the offloading of a long haul trailer from Nanaimo Canada. to Reno Nevada. Just something worth noting, employees parking in the loading dock area for renters to unload or load their vehicle's, trailers, box trucks is, etc. Impacts those using the services of U-Haul. I observed vehicle's that were there all day on being a large Ford truck and the other I recalled to be like a Lexus SUV type vehicle. Others were a small Subaru, Honda, etc. I did see some of the vehicles leave at shift change, however, the larger vehicles, as in the Ford and Alexis were still there late into the evening. Really impacts the customer. Aside from that I still was able to manage my offload of my storage unit into the U-Haul rented trailer.

For this review and this center the facility and grounds were clean, organized, and staff very helpful. I've been to other U-Haul rental facilities and are struggling with staff, motivation, space, and equipment. It's always pleasant and nice to go to the centers, such as this one that I rented the storage unit and have the experience of helpfulness and availability.

Philip Butler was was very professional when he assisted me in the checking in process. It's like night & day between the 2 business. I much prefer U haul over PS. We were assigned another which also proved to be very difficult to close and latch but we managed. The parking was very difficult. Four spaces are allocated. One vehicle parked adjacent to all four spaces which made it difficult to back in and pull out. Then a huge pickup truck came and parked in one of the four spaces. We tried to get into an empty one next to it but it was too tight and we damaged the rim on our tire due to a concrete wall. The rest of the parking places near the area are full of U-Haul vehicles. There was no room to load and unload. This situation made it very difficult to to move our heavy boxes into storage. I must add that the manager was very helpful and we did appreciate that.

He asked if I was checking out and I told him I didn't know yet. The next day I attempted to use the web site to determine if I was going to check out and whether I would get some kind of rebate. That didn't work and after 40 minutes on hold I was told I could only talk to the office on sight. When I called he told me I was already checked out and he had rented the unit out already. I asked about a pro rated return of rent and he said no. I then asked to have my space back until the end of the contract and he said I already checked out. I didn't check out and I believe the cleaner reported me as checked out without my concurrence. He said if the lock is removed I am checked out but I couldn't see that anywhere in the contract. After some back and forth he agreed to give me back my unit that I paid for until September. All was good until this point. I think that if Uhaul wants me to occupy my rental until the last day it should be clearly stated.

Moved as slow as molasses and copped an attitude. As a result, my movers damaged my mattress and new sofa squeezing it into the closet I was rented. How can you not know if you have units coming available? Oh, and the rodent trap in the storage unit is not very encouraging.

VALERIE E | Premières impressionsAfter renting a storage unit, receiving unit number, I was delayed for several days and ultimately assigned a different storage unit all because the lack of communication from uhaul staff. Apparently after all that, the customer 'must' enter the unit and put a padlock on unit the same day the unit is rented. Otherwise uhaul assumes the unit is 'not' rented and will rent it out. Thus leaving the 'tenant' who already paid, without a unit. If I rent the unit, paid for it in advance, who cares what day I physically move in? I actually had a family emergency that delayed my moving into the unit for 3 days after renting it. Though on that day, I couldn't move in because it was rented to someone else. Double renting the same unit? There is laws against such actions. To avoid that, uhaul moved me out. And when I confronted uhaul they scrambled and assigned me a unit they had just luckily had a customer move out. I had to wait for the unit to be cleaned out and prepped for my moving in. Again, it should not matter what the actual day and time I move in for any reason. I paid for the unit and secured it by paying the rent. This type of action by uhaul is illegal in any other tenant/landlord contracts across the nation. This policy should reviewed by uhauls legal department before they get sued. This dispute was "resolved" by the luck that a former tenant had moved out, otherwise there were no other units available to offer me at the time I attempted to move into my original rented unit.

I rented two units for storage use. Within the last twelve months I paid for both units with my Debit Card. POSSIBLY DUE TO MY ERROR? one large, incorrect amount error was charged to my Debit account. At this moment, I do not have exact amounts - so I will therefore give you approximate dollar amounts. The actual amounts will be most obvious to one of your associates when they look at my account. I initiated a lump-sum payment for both units, which was to have been AROUND $320.00. The amount charged to my account was in excess of $1,000.00. I discovered this error few days after the transaction cleared by bank account. I repeatedly called the storage location and was immediately transferred to a recording which lamented how they were receiving vastly excessive numbers of phone calls, and that I should give an explanation, by recording, when I was FINALLY CONNECTED TO THE "RESPONSE SEGMENT" of the same recording. I did as requested a few times (3 or 4 times), and was told, by a recording, that I would be called back in (an unacceptable time frame) - again, I was put on hold. After a reasonable length of (my judgement call) waiting to be finally connected to an alive person - I chose to hang up --- and try again. A few days later I called a published phone number for some sort of customer service assistance. The woman with whom I spoke was exceptionally proper, pleasant,and accommodating. She said she would give this situation to someone above her, and that someone would CALL Me BACK. This never happened! After a week or so, I tried again to make local contact and received the same, ,outrageous wait time for a response. AGAIN, I was told by recording that they were horribly overloaded (due to the Carona Virus), and that I should wait--------! I waited, and waited, and again hung up in frustration, I am a retired business owner, and I live approx. 44 miles from the storage unit location. I was not going to personally drive there, as I had a very large overpaid account. Later on, I was able to speak with someone locally, and I told him to take the next monthly payment for my surplus. He had looked into my account and acknowledged the large, excessive payment. A few months later I was able to speak with a corporate person, and things worked out - at the end of that unacceptable process. Yesterday, after a three year contract, all belongings were removed, and I terminated the storage. The local gentleman was also very polie and thanked me for my business. That same date I rented a 26 foot truck, and the property, which was in fine condition, was delivered to it's destination. That all ended well. I have use Uhaul exclusively for over 25 years, and have always had excellent truck rental experiences, This storage billing experience was exceptionally frustrating, and I felt compelled to let corporate know what transpired. My total storage expenses for 36 moths was in excess of (approx) $9,700..and I am left with an unpleasant memory. I wish to be acknowledged in some regard -- and not by a recorded, generic message. Had I not been in a rush to get the truck unloaded, I definitely would not have stayed and continued with the unit rental.

I admit I have been late to pay them rent (& whatever additional late fees included ($20 at least)) as the result. •Thankfully, U-Haul was very good with communication & giving you a chance to keep your belongings. •On the other hand, my bill being OVER $105 every month (w/out 24h access) for a 5x10 space is totally ridiculous!! •Also, they advertise climate controlled units which isn't necessarily true -they may heat the building but cooling it is not a thing- so imagine an all metal building in summer... yikes! •lastly the janitor is extremely rude! •the guys that work there are either super duper nice and friendly and helpful or they are reluctant to help & are obviously inexperienced with customer service or interactions in general. So if you've got money to burn & your belongings can withstand high temperatures -this place is fantastic!
