Put enough gas in the truck's so the customer doesn't have to upon driving off the property. Lousy policy, I'll never go back. On return I had to stand around for 20 minutes to return the truck. I finally went back to the office & got the office guy to help. The whole time my ride's waiting.

I tried to use a bank debit card to make the reservation but the customer service person said they do not take debit cards. I then had to call my credit card company by cell phone and verify account information, including saying my credit card number out loud, in the store where other customers and staff were within ear shot. I verified that my credit card funds were a bit short to make the reservation so then after I called the customer service person opted to accept my bank debit card for payment. I am not sure why I had to go through this process.

The truck stank. It was obvious that someone puked or spilled smelly liquid in the truck. There was no appliance dolly, we had to take utility dolly instead.

Vehicle gas nearly empty upon pick-up. Phone app slow and clunky , makes you wonder if it is working. Bad reception? Customer service satisfactory, but barely. Seems like location is under-staffed for volume. Stressful for workers and customers.

It was really easy and quick to get going, wish i did one way, but Still have no complaints. Other than there was a woman who was being talked to by police about her roommate kicking her out on the street. It s the only confusing part of my experience.

I was told "you can take it off" in reference to my car off the hitch. I do not know how to do that and I was told implicitly that I should not try to remove the car on my own. He did it but it was an odd exchange and made me loose confidence in the personnel.

Very low information I was given I didn’t know there where any chances made to renting a van from you guys. I wasn’t really explained what was happening I was just expected to know. There no help outside on the pick up either. I was given a link to take pictures my self there was no help from the kid. He just said take the pictures and you’re good. I did as such and he said ok you’re good and walked away. There was a lag I guess on the phone so I didn’t know there was a next step. I drove to the second light and noticed I still had to put the gas in and the mileage. Why is there a need to have someone outside to not be of any assistance? I had asked if he thought there where any damages or if certain things qualified as a damage but I was told “idk sir just walk around if you think you see something take a picture and it will post” no help at all no heads up about needing a major credit card for a pick up of van. Last time I’ll use you guys. I’ve used you for personal and business many many times but it felt like they just threw you the keys and they threw their hands up and said good luck. The office didn’t explain anything when I asked about the changes just acknowledged they where implemented about “10 days ago”. Nice lady but no help.

The worst moving experience of my life. My move was delayed 3 hours because of u-haul which resulted in me spending extra money on movers. The service agent in the store was rude and unhelpful. She even forced me to rent a different truck and pay more money even though I had already paid for a previous rental that I could not access because another location was closed.

I arrived with a reservation at 1115am. There were 4 other customers and only 1 person, the owner at the desk. I counted the time for the person ahead of me, who didnt show up with a reservation and took 20 minutes to decide a cargo van, estimate the mileage, wait to receive a text message, etc. Once he was done, I, who had already used express check in, still took another 20 minutes to get my receipt and walk out to get the truck. There needs to be something done for customers who actually made the time to reserve ahead, and better process to make your express check in easier, rather than spend the same 20 minutes as someone without a reservation walking in.

I will never recommend U-Haul to anyone after what happened to me with the pick up of the car, ordering weeks ahead to a location close to where I needed it, only to be texted 3 days before that I needed to go to another location, then getting a phone call THE DAY OFF that they won’t have the car, calling customer service and they told me the car is there and ignore the phone call, getting there and having the man working there calling my husband a liar and saying we never called although we could show him our call log and then finally having to take an Uber to another location!!! I was 30 minutes late to meet the movers because of this and didn’t even get a sorry!! I’ll never use U-Haul again! Shitty company

I picked up my truck at 6 am before the store was open, and nothing I ordered had been loaded into the truck: no blankets, no dollies. As a result, my move was seriously delayed. I had to wait until the store was open at 9:00 to pick up these much needed supplies, and as a result, I had to leave much later in the day.

Dude this place is a dump. Nothing works properly, from the register, to the trucks, to the employees. It always takes FOREVER to get anything done, even when you use express check in (lol). The employees are terribly unprofessional, I even saw one back a truck into another that was standing in the parking lot, while 3 or 4 other employees were ignoring me having pulled up to return a 15’ foot fucking truck. I’d rather have Connor McGreggor use my coin purse for a speed bag than ever have to go back to this place again.

I think if you reserve a truck at a location the location should have the truck instead of calling you the day before and telling you to drive 20 minutes longer than where you were planning on picking it up.

Horrible experience with Ubox. ABSOLUTELY horrible. Multiple times I would confirm my box would be ready for access and it never was. That happened on multiple occasions. I've switched to Public Storage. Your back end inventory management sucks.

Online system is worthless - I ended up spending 45 minutes in the office. Then, the gas tank was so low that I had to spend more time at the gas station, making me even later to my moving plan. Also, it was frustrating that my pickup location was changed the day before, to a very inconvenient location.

I was completely shocked by the customer service experience in Seattle - utter disregard for customer care and insufferable wait times. I would strongly recommend assessing the approach to customer care offered at Uhaul. A few quick bullets: -Waited over an hour in line to pick my initial reservations -Transferred over 10 times (!!!) when I had a CS inquiry re: Ubox -Rude, careless workers who were hesitant to help when issues came up My belongings did arrive on time, and mostly safely, but if the event I have another option besides Uhaul I will always choose it.

I had a very negative experience with Uhaul as a company - however, this particular location located on Arapahoe St was incredible. I made a reserveration for a truck rental on Labor Day this year with one of the customer service reps over the phone - 1 week in advance. I called multiple times that week to confirm that this particular Uhaul location (on W 6th street, downtown LA) would be open on Labor Day and I was told that the main scheduling system through Uhaul confirmed they would be open. On moving day, I arrived at the location to find it closed. This was very frustrating and stressful. When I called Uhaul, I was put on hold for over 30 minutes without any assistance. I then drove to the location on Arapahoe St and found them to be thankfully open. They did have a truck available. I was incredibly appreciative. I am very disappointed in the Uhaul customer service team that handles phone calls, because nobody I spoke with seemed to be knowedgeable about which locations would be open on Labor Day. I ended up having to change my reservation a few times because the customer service rep over the phone would confirm a reservation and then I would get in touch with the actual location and find that they were planning to be closed. It is very difficult to get in touch with the people working at the Uhaul locations, because phone calls get routed to a central service line - and unfortunately, those people are not able to answer the questions appropriately. I was misinformed several times. In the future, I will look to rent trucks through Uhaul's competitors.

They charge me triple then what I was estimated and refused to tell me before taking the rental van that I needed to fill the gas up and that I needed to fold the moving blankets. So I got charged $100 just for not doing that. FUCK U-HAUL!!! Never again EVERRR!!!

Absolutely horrible experience, AGAIN! I called TWICE last week to ensure my ubox would be ready for access on Saturday morning, and BOTH times I was told it would be ready. I get there on Saturday and the UBOX IS NOT READY. And guess what, this is THE SEVOND WEEK IN A ROW THIS HAPPENED. ABSOLUTELY AWFUL! I'm sick of this. Couldn't rate lower. So guess what, I moved out of my ubox this weekend. You lost my business forever.

I was loosing sleep over the thought of having to double park the whole rig in downtown LA while we loaded, and this suggestion of hers made things much less stressful!

I left the truck very clean but was still charged a cleaning fee. Also, I explained that I would return the truck on Monday evening but was charged an entire extra day rental when I delivered the truck at 7pm instead of 2pm. I never requested a 2pm drop off. Feel a little scammed.
