Owner/Manager is great. Staff sucks. Parking for customers non existent. Nothing on street. Drove home and walked back 2.5 miles. But my “out” time started before I left. Lot attendant put keys in drivers seat and left the truck unattended for 1.5hrs. UNDER MY RESPONSIBILITY. Local area not the most secure so the truck was unprofessionally left unattended. Upon return date, I called and asked what would happen if I was 15-20 late, past the 12noon return time. I was told that 15-20 mins. or 1 minute, I would be charged an extra day for truck, insurance, dolly rentals, etc. The owner/manager who took my reservation was terrific. The rest of the staff sucked.

While the truck was clean and maintained and the pickup and drop off easy, the quote I was given online when reserving the truck was not what I paid when picking it up. I checked my online reservation the day before pickup and it had the original quoted price listed, but when I went to get the truck, I was charged an extra $100. When I logged into the account to try and find the original quote, it was no longer there so I could not fight the charge. This was frustrating and bad business.

The store is slow due to understaffing. The persons with whom I engaged were friendly and professional. Secondly the computer system failed upon my return and caused a complete shut down of other persons and my return. I recommend you implement a manual emergency method for return and rentals in the event of another computer crisis!

We did a trailer transport for another location not this one but we were contacted to pick up and drop off a filled trailerand it wasn't worth the discount given because it cost us that much extra in gas and it wasted 6 hours of our time getting to the pick up and drop off locations it seems tempting with the discount but it really isn't saving you anything basically you are working for them for free I wouldn't recommend it

We placed an reservation for 5AM, and got there to see that the truck we were assigned for the reservation was behind several other trucks. Upon selecting that we had a problem with the reservation online, it prompted us a phone number to Yolanda. After calling multiple times and getting no answer, someone called back from a different number sounding extremely groggy, and said they would get us the phone number of someone who can help -- we didn't hear back from this person. After waiting 45 minutes, we called customer service, Tiffany helped as and called several people to reach a solution, but no one was answering her calls. So she said she would credit us $50 in about 2-3 days, and was otherwise extremely sweet and at least sympathetic to the fact we had been waiting since 5AM, and at this point it was 6:40 and she apologetically recommended we just wait for the store to open at 7. During this call, an employee arrived and upon trying to get her attention and saying "hi, excuse me", she responded rudely that they open at 7 (yeah, I know, I've only been waiting almost 2 hours). Another employee arrived after and upon getting his attention and explaining the situation, he said he would be back to help, only to come back and say we hadn't completed our paperwork, which we couldn't do since selecting that we had a problem with the reservation online, which thus altogether "expired the reservation" according to the site, and so he told us to wait for 7AM as well! Finally, 7AM comes, I go inside to purchase a couple other things before heading out, only to find out that the rude first employee we encountered was Yolanda, who had we had been calling since 5AM for help. During the 5 minutes of checking out, I was further shocked by this woman's tone and way of speaking with customers. Someone called during the checkout (who she put on speaker) requesting her help to reserve a cargo truck to which she responded "I can't help you with that", the guy asks why not, and she responds rudely with attitude again "because I have a customer in front of me" (how is he supposed to know that?? there isn't a more polite way to let someone know you're occupied and can help them later??), he then asks if he can come in for help making the reservation, and she tells him to use the website instead, and the man, flustered, asks again if he can just come in person to make the reservation to ensure all goes well (I don't blame him after my experience) and she begrudgingly agrees. The whole exchange was an appalling display of customer service, or lack thereof, and an unnecessary surplus of attitude, sass and rudeness. This woman exudes hatred for her job-- has to be forced to help customers, and even then is exceptionally rude and carries an inappropriate tone the whole time. I have to move again in a few months and I will gladly get my truck from a further location just so I don't have to deal with this woman, who after all, is apparently the OWNER of this location. First, I signed up online and selected self pick up to where I didn’t have to speak to a person. Then you called saying you were closing at 7:00pm and even this I selected a self 7:30pm pick up I had to rush over there to wait in a slow line listen to loud and annoying walkie talkie talk between an aggravated desk employee badgering drivers who can’t find keys. I checked for damage on truck, documented everything online as I was told. Then got to my destination I realized that the dolly AND furniture pads were not in the truck. I called waited on hold forever and informed them to just remove the dolly and pads from the bill and I went and borrowed some from a friend. I return the truck, I did everything I was suppose to do then received a voicemail about damage to the van and that I’ve been charged more than $150 extra followers. This was not true and impossible as I checked before and after and even took photos on your website. I called, she was was argumentative until I asked if they even checked my pre-checkin damage report and photos. I was put on hold again and then was told oh, never-mind I see the damage was listed and already there. I will be refunded in a few days. She made up some bullshit how sometimes people get confused on the photos. Obviously they are incompetent and someone is skipping steps and no doing their job. Now.... I get the email with the review and bill. Guess what, I’ve been charged for 6 pads and a dolly I saw and was told was removed from my bill. It lists that the customer also returned these items that never existed and yet I am marked as returning them. So, at some point today I will need to call AGAIN to get that refunded to a few days as well. What a disaster of a one day move a couple miles and one trip.

Ordered a van online, but when I arrived, they gave that van to someone else, had to wait another 45 mins to get a new one. That new van was dirty with dirt and dust in the back. When returning, I was charge 45$ for it when I only used like $4 worth of gas. Fortunately, the workers took that fine away, but took 45 mins which made me late for a banquet.

The only issue with this location is that the front desk is understaffed. The woman at the front desk is great, but she needs another person when it gets busy. I waited in line for 54 minutes before I was able to pay for my reservation. She had 8 people in line and had to answer phones as well. Too much to ask of one person.

Uhaul had changed the pickup address twice for my Uboxes and had me contact the movers for the changes myself. The movers are busy and do not pick up calls very often. It also took the representative 15 min just to check my order on the computer. It is not efficient at all. The destination is Hayward which was confusing too. I said I will call when I find a new home for where the Ubaox can be shipped to. Seeing Hayward on my confirmation page made me thought it was wrong. I didn't know that was Uhaul's storage location that is closet to the city I am moving to.

When I finally got inside the 10ft truck to drive, the front seat was completely broken and I couldn't drive it because I couldn't reach the gas and breaks. But we were already strapped for time because they weren't ready for us when we got there and we were now running late, so my boyfriend had to drive rather than ask them to attach our Ubox to another truck and waste another 45 minutes.The passenger side door looked like the terminator because it was also completely broken with pieces missing. The truck was given to us with only a quarter tank of gas. There was a big sticker completely blocking the speedometer that I had to remove WHILE he was driving (ironically it was a warning sticker about speeding). And the absolute worst part of the entire experience was arriving to our new apartment on the opposite side of town to discover that someone at this Uhaul location broke my lock off of my Ubox and replaced it with a Uhaul brand lock that NO ONE GAVE ME THE KEY TO. So we unscrewed the entire lock and removed it from the Ubox. Over all this was a horrendous experience. Also, I was charged $120 for this rental and have not received any type of receipt to explain why it cost so much more than the original $70 I paid. I would like some proportion of my money back due to all of the hassle we went through during this rental.

The woman behind the counter was surly and seriously unhappy with her job. In front of me when she was on the phone talking to a colleague or boss or someone she referred to another employee as "dummy did this and dummy did that." Unbelievable. She did her job efficiently but with no interest in the customer. Might as well have well been a machine. The guys outside moving trucks (different one when I picked up and dropped off) were fine, pleasant, helpful and seemed to be able to move and squeeze trucks and things around very expertly. The whole experience would change with a different person at the counter guys.

1. Not a good area of town 2 Truck only had 3/8 of a tank of gas, very inconvenient to find a gas station in LA where you can pull in with a trailer. Long line with only one person working at the counter, took over an hour to rent my equipment.

What location? I expressed checked in as recommended and then got links to the confirmation but no pick up location. Probably one of the worst online services. Thankfully the Hispanic lady at one of the random locations was able to help. I suggest you don’t waste people’s time with bad programming and system ops. As you do schedule us to use these vehicle under a certain time frame. I suggest your company to get fix this, because you’re now messing with people’s time and money. Something no one can afford in this current economy. Good day

The hours are really hard to make when you work in Los Angeles. The hours are only 7 to 7 on week days. I know other storage facilities open much later. But other than that it is good.
