Check out wasn't as quick/easy as app suggested. Air conditioner did not work! 5+ hours sweating in a hot truck with windows down on interstate.
Great customer service! My son left some expensive technology in the truck and we got a call after dropping it off that it was there- very grateful!
When I picked my truck up I was told it just came back from service. The truck had more miles then what the contract said. When I returned the truck there was nobody there to help. I was told to do the self check in which I did. 1 person outside cleaning the truck was the only person I saw. I was charged extra miles that I shouldn't have. I reset the trip when I picked up the truck.
I chose mobile check in but had to go inside to get the truck. I entered my payment info online however I had to pay inside. Other than technical issues, all went smoothly.
Every member of the team that I met over the past two weeks were well trained , attentive , engaging and relational. From the SC Mgr , to today's GM
Pictures on mobile app to validate condition of vehicle are small. You should be able to enlarge them.

The lady who helped me with checkin and checkout was amazing
My credit card was charged $10.00 for insurance I didn't ask for and actually refused and then I was told it could not be refunded. Terrible business!
I used the U-haul app for pick up and drop off. At drop off the app directed me to leave the vehicle locked. I was confused where the lock box was to return the key and the attendant asked me to leave the key in the cap but did not stipulate to leave it unlocked. Later in the evening, Uhaul called to say they were going to charge my card for a lock smith. I protested and was hung up on.
I do apologize for not returning the truck on time. I didn't mean for it to happen I I apologize.
Agents were very helpful and speedy.
Had a horrible experience with the app.. had to have them check me in.. fix your app. Poorly made. I will not rent again took too much time for check in.

Kiosk for online check-in. Your agent was trying to wait on multiple customers at the same time. Or hire more help!

The latch didn't work well and hot jammed up. The return is another story. I dropped it off at long branch nj at 8 pm on the 30th we got a blizzard and everything is closed at this time. So until I get it officially returned .. I will let you know
The return instructions on the app were different than on the signs, which was a little comfusing. I was eventually approached by an employee who informed me of the instructions for the facility, which was good, as I was just about to go inside to wait in line to return the key.

I dropped of the truck bright and early. Followed all signs and sat in my truck waiting for a attendant to help me. After two moments of direct eye contact and five minutes. I went inside and asked the gentleman on his cellphone to help me. He told me I had to check it online to “read the signâ€. I told him the sign says to check vehicle in online after hours and this was clearly hours. He then tells me he doesn't want contact with me it's for me benefit. I have rented many uhaul and never been close to a person. It was rude and lazy. Why pay two attendees when one is just on his cell phone refusing to help customers and not working.
The guy that checked me in who refused to give me his name was rude, lazy and confrontational. He accused me of not calling in a delayed return when in fact I did call it in and offered to show him the call on my phone. He wasn't interested. Maybe he was hung over or was just having a bad day. Had I been his manager, I would have fired him on the spot.
The staff at Swannanoa River Rd. Uhaul have always been great to work with. They have answered any questions that I have had, and been there to help me with any problem, very few, that have come up. Elaine and her staff have always been good to me, and I recommend this Uhaul all the time. Thank you
Everything thing at this location was great but after my experience with picking up the truck, I just won't be using Uhaul myself or recommended Uhaul to anyone I know.
Very efficient and friendly
Despite having selected our drop off location at the time of reservation, that location rejected the return. We were redirected to 3 other locations in different towns all of which rejected the return. After driving around for 4 hours attempting to return the trailer, we left it at this location even though they tried to reject it. What's the point of selecting a drop off location at the time of reservation if they can reject the return?

The parking lot was a cluster f***. I was returning my van, and waited in line behind 3 other customers , all being cared for by one clerk, and was told I needed to check the van in outside. UGH. There was no where for me to park, I had to squeeze it in between two trucks. Had the lot been more organized, I would have seen the sign about where to return. Not impressed at all. Probably will find another place to get from in a few weeks when I need a truck again. Thanks.
Old truck,looked like it had been driven thru a mud hole or off-road.
They definitely charged me for fuel it didnt need. I drove 20 miles and put 3 gallons in the 10 foot truck and for some reason they charged me $7 for gas. Other than that. It was fine.
My husband attempted to check in the trailer when he was there and person and was told we have to do it online. I tried to check in the trailer online and there was nowhere to do it. I got charged the difference!!! Not sure I will go to this location again, or it is U-haul in general that the issue is by, but it SUCKS as a customer to have to pay extra because check-in is hard to figure out. :( :( :(

Online uhaul reservation was not correct - they booked a 15' truck when I had requested a 10' truck. It is not the pickup location's fault but there is no where to put my unhappiness with the online customer service. This cost me about $40 for someone else's mistake!!
The staff were nice as can be and carried out tasks swiftly.
Everything was wonderful. Reasonable rates. Easy to drive cargo van.
When I say the equipment was clean, it was in good condition but hadn't been washed. The exterior was dirty and I took pictures to show that. That being said, I knew I had a 4 hour drive, through snow, to get to Roanoke so it really didn't matter to me. The employee that helped me did a good job.
Everything with the actual truck and service was good, but the website was very unclear that the “mileage†was an additional charge. I thought it was a fuel estimate, so my cost wound up over 1/3 higher than expected.
Despite three people managing the returns, no one was really helpful or proactive. I had to do the online process with photos, despite the staff being right there.
The associates need to Pay more attention to the order. I didn't receive the tow dolly before the associate left and had me on my way. I didnt actually need it so it was okay but a bit annoying.
Give that girl at the counter a raise!!!
Perfect U- Haul experience! No problems with pick-up, driving, loading, and drop-off. What more could some one want, maybe cookies.
Hawk and Tracy were helpful and in good spirits in assisting me with my return after a long journey. They made the return process easy and stress free!
Person that helped me with the return was excellent.
Be certain to retain your best team members by paying them a good living wage. Especially the young lady with long blonde hair; who was very calm under pressure, polite, timely and had a professional demeanor. Remember, retention of such an excellent employee makes better business sense than training a new team member who may, or may not, have such qualities as the aforementioned woman.
Provide official in-site parking for van renters
Parking on the opposite side of the road which was muddy was the real negative. It is not a gravel lot. It's the shoulder of a busy road. But, your people who assisted me from booking to pickup to return were excellent!
The staff person who checked us in was a real jerk. Drop off was an unfortunate and totally unnecessary unpleasant ending to an otherwise overall excellent rental experience. Thanks!

Do not throw in late approval of the rental application with items such as an "Emergency Contact #" that we can call right now. This was odiferous and unnecessary.

I had trouble with the online pick-up and website, for some reasons. (It wouldn't accept my password, or even the password it sent me.) but after speaking with an employee at the location, everything went super smooth. He was both attentive and polite. Dropping off was super easy and the guy who did the drop off was super polite and thorough. He went out of the way to explain the online system to me and will definitely use it next time. The employees here were outstanding and I'll definitely use this place again in the future. (Just wish it wasn't so confusing on website sign ins.)

Everything about this facility worked for me, except the foul smell that remained consistent and that permeated our belongings. I placed a call expressing our concerns, along with the cause of the problem, but no one ever got back to me to talk more about it. I’ll consider other storage units in the future. But, for equipment rental, and staff friendliness, this facility is tops.

I earned a month of free storage after spending over $2,000 on a truck and trailer reservation in November. I moved out a week before the end of the month but kept receiving invoices for balance due. Tried to contact the GM many times but never heard back. After the most recent email talking of collections and liens I called again and finally spoke to a service agent elsewhere. The bill was taken care of but I still have not heard a word from manager at the facility. Not a good experience.
The ONLY comment I have is the storage room and the area of the building where the our space was SMELLED AWFUL! It has an odor like a rat smell. We were very happy we were getting our furniture out as I imagine if we were there longer we would not have been able to get the smell out. It was so bad it was hard to breathe while emptying the unit.
Although this location is always busy, the staff is very helpful and courteous. They make sure you get what you need and don't try to rush you just to get to the next customer.
Way too expensive, roaches were in our things, that weren't there before due to cross contamination from other out of state stored items in other units. I've lived in Western NC for years in multiple locations and we do not have roaches like the lowlands.

The lady in the store was so busy when I came in, helping her crew get a rental cleaned and ready for a customer, taking care of sales, helping me get a unit and even parked my truck for me to unload it conveniently and not affect other customers. All this with a smile and never losing her cool or making anyone feel they were a bother. Excellent professional service..
I need to finish moving & rent another truck, but I will drive further away to find a place with staff that isn’t actively rude & disinterested. Sometimes when you call, they’ll pick up the phone & hang it up. Very convenient location, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE service - it’s like they’re constantly annoyed that customers are there.
The few people working were stressed, cold & very irritated. I witnessed them being very short with every person in there, acting as if we were all a bother & inconvenience during their busy day. After waiting 20-30 minutes to be set up with my storage unit (My second time coming back bc I was told they were too busy to do it earlier in the day), when I explained what I was there for, the guy literally dropped his head in frustration & audibly sighed while shaking it back & forth. They were very busy & seemingly short staffed, but it was unprofessional & extremely uncomfortable for them to take that out on every customer there. I won’t go back bc they made it a very uncomfortable experience.
Everyone here worked hard to make everything run smoothly and easily. The facility was really clean and super secure. Prices were great and process was seamless👍🏻
Bad advice on what size storage unit would be needed for a 15 foot moving truck. Inconsistency with truck return time. And no one was wearing masks
Always a great experience at this location. One of the best UHaul facilities we’ve been to. Staff is hard working and attentive, best location in Asheville, hands down.

When asked for a larger unit no one was aware of the larger unit as it wasn't in the system. Now I'm paying for 2 units because it was too much of a hassle to move to the other unit.

UHaul is a very dependable company.
This isn’t a complaint to the specific uhaul that I used but to uhaul in general. My last payment was due on the 29th and closed my account out on the 30th but uhaul would not prorate my month.

I set up a reservation for a one bedroom apartment storage unit,,when i got there, i had to trow away a lot of my stuff because they only had 1 unit on the top floor,,(WHAT-A-SET-UP.)
Everything was terrific about my experience with UHaul storage at this location. The wonderful staff needs more staff to decrease wait times.

Quit understaffing/paying to max the profits of Shoen. Staff at the location is great. Everyone else who's part of the company provides no value and are leeches on the work,effort of it's employees.

Worst display of systems and customer service EVER. Nothing makes sense, the management is exasperated, the wait time is ridiculous, saw three people leave cussing, and felt like doing so myself. Sad.
Hawk was very professional and patient. Unfortunately it was a busy day and he had no effective help which meant the wait time was long.
My move to Asheville routed me through four U-Haul facilities and this was the best! This is a U-Haul center, whereas two of the others were dealers. Don’t go to dealers for auto transports!!

I did not know my original unit was inside, ended up paying for too big of a unit, struggled to get a strap on door, dealt with long lines always and multiple times so stuff is ruined.

Lift door was poorly maintained with missing center pull strap Small rope on right corner was not located appropriate for lifting the roll up door which was heavy and difficult
I would leave zero stars if I could, but my complaint is mostly about #Uhaul #Corporate rather than this facility itself (although their customer service is equally abysmal.)

I’ve been dealing with Ileen for the last oh about 10 to 15 years and have never been disappointed with uhaul.
My move out dare was October 8th, not the 17th.

There was only one employee who seemed disingenuous and lackadaisical about her job and assisting customers (older woman with glasses). All other employees were absolutely amazing and helpful.
Any issue was resolved professionally so much so I have Two New Units in Macomb County Michigan & the People here are great too!

the one staff i always saw was the most patient, kind, long suffering employee. The "climate controlled" unit was wet and 90 degrees. I could not get a refund. Very bad experience.
Consider leading within U-Haul Organization in providing “ reasonable Accomodations “ to legally SSA Disabled U-Haul users &/or accessibility in the disposal of Mattresses. $100 fee too high.

The only problem I had was the wait time to get service I think it would be a good idea to have someone to hook up trailers and check trucks and leave the cashier taking care of customers be faster?
The staff was rude and not helpful. When asked if I could talk to the manager the gal replied “she she’s really busy”. The place is very inconvenient and the storage units are dark.
I went in to close my storage unit 1103 and the wait time was ridiculously long. There were only two people working with 9 people in line. I was not happy with that.
