Local location boxes were delivered from were fine. Calling the number to have my container shipped and to set up delivery was a nightmare. First representative said management had to schedule it. â€œManagementâ€ couldn't find any sign of either of my reservations, and their supervisor was gone for the day, but he'd be happy to call me at times I'm working and can't talk to them. Called back to the original number and after an hour wait due to their phone issues, I got someone who pulled up the information and scheduled it in less than 5 minutes. Fast forward to scheduling delivery, I'm told the 2 boxes from separate locations were already merged into one order, despite having been told that couldn't be done until I was ready for delivery. We set up delivery and moving help, which the representative talked me through on my laptop since the system wouldn't take my credit card number for them to actually book the service. As I prepare to hang up, the representative notices only 1 of the 2 boxes is scheduled for delivery. They weren't merged after all. Back on hold for another half hour to transfer to another department who cancelled the order and scheduled the moving help (no laptop required this time). Moving is stressful enough. The lack of coordination made it a lot worse.nicole S.

I requested a trailer to haul a tractor that was 6ft wide. The woman who O spoke to at the uhaul 800 number recommended the 6x1w trailer with a ramp. I didn't notice until arriving at work (where the tractor was) that the trailer was not actually 6 ft qife at the opening, so the tractor could not be loaded on the trailer. I was at work, so I called the 800 number and they told me the refund would need to be handled at the location where I picked up the trailer. The associate at the location tried to process the refund, but it would not go through. She called the manager who said if the trailer was gone longer than an hour it would not be refunded. I followed the guidance of the ubaul associate when ordering the trailer, and had to order a second trailer later in the day from a different location. I am not trying to get aomething free... I had to drive 40 miles to the location, back when the trailer didn't work; then to a different location, and then 40 miles back to the tractor again. The day was a fiasco that could have been easily resolved if the person at the 800 number had told me the trailer was not actually 6ft wide. I called the Akron manager, and have not received a call back 2r hours later. I also tried to call the uhaul customer service ice number, and both times I called and requested a call back, the system hung up on me as soon as I accepted the call. I am extremely unsatisfied and want the initial trailer refunded.STEPHEN M.

Wearing harness was not installed after spending two days at this location. I finally had to request that they removed the work they did as they were clearly damaging my vehicle. When I started taking video they called the police. I'm extremely disgusted with my whole experience with this location and this manager. Your facility was clean and well lit the only problem is when you try to call the office at the facility no one would pick up the phone. Arrived on Sept 1st at 8PM to pick up a 26 ft truck only to find someone else's stuff in it. The truck was unlocked and had no furniture pads. The individual finally came and took their stuff out. We talked with Zeluma who walked us through the check in process and she was very kind and helpful. However, when we got to the key box there was no key in there. Zeluma gave us a customer service number to call to find out what to do. I was on hold for 51 minutes, an absolutely unreasonable amount of time only to be told we would we would have to go back to the location the following morning. At that point and by the time we got hime, we had wasted 4 hours of time. Another unacceptable event. We went the following morning and Olivia, the counter attendant, told us she forgot to put the key in the box. Additionally, we had to load the furniture pads in the truck ourselves. By the time we were able to finally start packing the truck we had lost 5 hours and had to turn the truck in on the 4th. The drop off location attendant was very kind but I was told I'd be charged for an extra day. Had we been able to get the truck when we were scheduled to, it would have been on time. The inconvenience added more unneeded stress on the move. The counter attendant needs to be counseled on her responsibilities to the public!Scotty D.

Local staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent experience with the employees at this location on pick-up and drop-off. Great team there at Tallmadge Ave. However, the call I received from the regional rep was a bit odd. I was questioned as to why I needed the truck for two days. The regional rep's tone was a bit condescending, informing me that other families needed the truck as well. She seemed to want an explanation. I started to give her details of what I had planned for the two days and reminded her that I was paying for the time, then she cut me off. Not sure what that was all about but it seemed an odd way to treat a paying customer.Andrew P.
I paid for dolly and did not get it. Also did not receive the pads that I paid for. I would expect if I was ordering a dolly, that the truck would come with a ramp to load stuff, but this had no ramp. On top of that, the ABS, traction control, and towing lights all appeared on dashboard before I was 30 minutes into driving, and I was under a time crunch so I had no time to return truck and exchange for new equipment. We had a bad charge that we called on and the supervisor will not call us back. It was the Akron location and it looks like they are charging us a extra month. The supervisor will not get on the phone and told the clerk to tell us that he is looking into to. He was standing there and my wife could hear him talking in the background telling the clerk what to say. This has been going of for 3 weeks now and he still had not called back. The great thing is that I work in the LTL trucking world as a terminal manager and I have these same issues with customers but I am man enough to talk to the customer and try to fix the problem. I did not have any furniture pads in my UBOXES. Didn't know I was supposed to get any. My estimated shipping time was 7-10 days. It took over 2 weeks. When I called the location I needed to pick the Boxes up from they said they did not have double trailers. And essentially I would have to make multiple trips for pick up and drop off. Which wasted more days. Multiple times that I was picking up or dropping off the boxes I waited for a ridiculously long time before being attended to. When I had to drop off my last two boxes nobody was there and the counter line guy said to just drop them off in the back which I did. This process was really painful. Not sure if I would every use Uhaul UBOX services again unless the logistics get fixed.ram L.

Location was clean and storage is very nice. However, rental desk is not well staffed. long waits and self-check did not work. My biggest complaint is the effort to make me pay for gas. I drove 8 miles and put 1,5 gallons in the tank. Yet they accused me of not returning it filled. I even had the receipt. Finally, the rep said I dont have time to argue and walked away. Driver placed Uhaul pod in front of the garage to load. Called three times to have it moved. It was never moved even though I had used the note section for placement. On the day of delivery in the new city, I was given two delivery windows, I waited all day and it never arrived. I found out four days later that delivery was delayed and noted on my account six days earlier I was never notified nor did appear on the online account The first time it was delayed six days, then two more days. I had to call and call and call spending hours and hours on hold. I was even told it was no longer in Ohio when it had never left Ohio. It was shipped eight days late. I was given a guaranteed delivery date to the warehouse on the next day. That deadline was missed. I called when the container arrived at the warehouse to find out when it would be delivered to my home. I was given a four-hour window. That window was missed, it came two hours after the delivery window.Beth B.

My truck was not ready when I got there. Did not have my reservation for my dolly the lady was too busy talking to her boyfriend on the phone took forever. The other problem was that the truck was never cleaned the cab or the box they swept everything out of the ground and we had to go and pressure wash the back because it had something sticky all over the floor I called customer service about it they said somebody would get back to me and they did not. The inside of the cab head something spilled all over it they hadn't even checked the vehicle in when I got there it was way past pick up time by at least an hour. Lady knew nothing about car dollies or how to hook them up or how they work and she was too busy talking to her boyfriend on the phone or whoever the guy was about picking up eggs and going to Dollar general. The exes marked on the truck for the damage from prior use not all the damage was marked I had to go over it which took me a while so that I want to get charged for somebody else's screw up and they acted like it was a big deal to sweep out the back when somebody had left all kinds of debris in the back. As a customer I should have never had to clean out a truck it shows a lack of disrespect for your customers. Not to mention it wasn't ready. And then when you call about it no one got back to me. I have dealt with you all for a lot of years and this was just very stressful on a move day.. and I can guarantee they don't give a crap or will call about how nasty the back of the truck and the inside of the cab was. I should have got a rider truck. We rent them through my job all the time and not once have they ever been dirty. And customer service is excellent. And the fact that they haven't called me back just shows that their customer service does not care about their customers.KENN B.

My reservation was for 9:00 am. I arrived early to try to get a jump on the move and was informed my appointment had been pushed back until 10:30! I explained that I had help due to arrive at 9:30 and that they all needed to leave by 3:00 because they had to go to work! I ended up losing 4,5 hours of labor and ended up unloading 80 %!of the truck myself! The lack of empathy was unbelievable! I returned at 9:50 hoping that it might be ready early and was scolded and told my reservation wasn't until 10:30 at which time I corrected her and said no my reservation was for 9! Moving is stressful enough without the extra aggravation of dealing with Uhauls inability to schedule trucks! Never again! Next time I will go elsewhere!James G.

The movers hired through Uhaul did not show up the day they were scheduled and I had to make arrangements to stay in the house another day. I set up everything online with a Uhaul rep and they had me order two boxes, only 1 was needed. However, the Uhaul in Springfield,VA charged me one month storage for 2 boxes. I am still confused as to why I was charged one month storage for any Ubox because it was not stored at either location. According to the Uhaul website, my Ubox arrived in Akron on July 15. I was never contacted by Uhaul. On July 23 I called Uhaul and was on hold for 35 mins with no answer. I called back and was on hold for 58 minutes with no answer. I then went down to the location and the two employees working stated they did not know anything about Uboxes and only the general manager knows about them and you have to give 48 hours notice before being able to access them. The phone number they provided for the general manager at the 800 Tallmadge Ave Akron, Oh location was the same number I tried previously with no answer. I called the cell phone number on the card and did not receive a call back over 24 hours. When Christina returned my call, she was not helpful and only told me of her life woes of working 2 jobs and quitting smoking. This was Saturday July 24. On Monday July 26 she called saying she found the box. I set it up with her to have access to unload it on Friday July 30. When I arrived on July 30, she stated she didn't know anything about the box or who I was. After reminding her of the phone conversations and text messages, she remembered the conversations and found and pulled my box. Needless to say, I will not be using UHaul again, and share this story with friends and family and tell them not to use Uhaul.Angela K.

The MOD was awesome! She was out of the shop due to helping with a shipment/packing, maybe called a uContainer or something of that nature. When she arrived back, there were a couple groups of customers waiting for her arrival. She handled all of the customers while running around to make sure every need was met. She killed it! The sign in was quick and easy. The staff friendly at check in. I started the truck and it ran rough. I thought maybe it was just cold. It never stopped running rough. It had some type of engine misfiring that was noted to the attendant I handed over my keys to upon return. I was concerned my entire move that the truck would break down due to the way it was running. The fuel gauge was reading below the full line when I received it so I definitely filled the tank above what I used. I also noted to the attendant upon return that the front driver side turn signal was not working. Do these trucks not get regular maintenance?? I rented a truck before and never had an issue with it. That was rented from, I believe, Fountain St. The bottom line is that this was far from a positive experience. We did get the job done and all went well but I was very disappointed with the way the truck ran. I also spent 10 minutes being ignored when I entered the truck rental place to return my truck. I heard them talking in the back and I called out a couple of times. I finally was able to find the young man who was parking the returned trucks. I told him about the issues with the truck and gave him the keys. I finally got acknowledged by the woman at the front desk when I was told I was setting off some alarm because I was standing in the doorway. Nice to know she finally acknowledged me. I had to return the trailer to one location and the truck to another location. The discounts that I was promised by the manager for them opening late and not having the equipment promised in the rental agreement were not applied to the bill. This location was fine. the company uhaul itself was overall not ok. made a reservation. it was not honored. they moved me to another location. i was told my reservation was transferred and all would be ready at the new location. i get to the new location and they know nothing. started all over again. got halfway home and had to go back because there was no appliance dolly as i had reserved on my original reservation. that extra 15 miles was your fault and i had to pay. it poured raining. so inside was wet and and not able to clean out well. when checking out, i was charged double even though i was told i would not be charged double.PATRICIA B.

Fire Christina this person lied to my face cussed out a customer while I was standing in front of her and other customers as well as over charged me and told another customer they couldn't do anything about delivering there pods and they would have to pay 200 dollars a day on top of the prepayment . She told me she would give me extra time to move my belongings because I had 2 units and I had no help.. The maintenance lady said she crawls across the top of units to see what's inside them and only resalable items can be left.I told Christina that I was donating what I couldn't move to the homeless veterans shelter and the church based organization would be sending help to remove the items.The pastor was witness this hold event and she said you have nomore time it will be thrown out and I would be billed an extra month even when he offered to pay for it another month. So now the homeless veterans have no beds and everything in the units where contaminated by rodent dropping and must be thrown away because the place is infested with rodents.The cleaning lady said she has some one to take the stuff before it was thrown out waiting to resale it. If I had known it was contaminated I would have let them have it verses wasting the veterans home time and resources.She gave me less than 24 hrs to move it . This is definitely a ineffective and inconsiderate individual which neither cares for the defense of this country or the people who put there lives on the line for her and the rest of this country on a daily basis.And for that this country has been dishonored.Thank for your time to read this and I'm sure you have many more complaintsBRUCE T.

I was charged for a unit I never had access to. After reservo the unit, I was informed that the unit was only accessible during their office hours. However, the other units are available until 10pm. I decided to cancel the transaction. I was informed it was canceled and I would not be charged. I was charged. I have called SEVERAL times to get this resolved. The employees are extremely helpful as much as they can be. However, the manager is completely negligent when it comes to communication. Several employees have left my information behind and informed me she would reach back out to me. One of the employees even messaged her while I was there, then messaged her the day after again because she did not reach out to me. She still has yet to return a call and it's been almost one month.
