You need a telephone number that a live person answers
M. Kathleen D.I was charged a fuel fee even though the vehicle was returned with more fuel than it had when i picked it up. Uhaul already nickel and dimes their customers, when they lie to make more money it's just sickening.
Garion I.I was originally scheduled to pick up at Uhaul of Providence on Broad St. The previous renter of the truck couldn't get there in time, and Adam at Uhaul of Providence took the initiative to find an equivalent truck and tow dolly, and called me to find alternative arrangements. It was in the nick of time, because I was already driving to the location, and his call was a huge help for me.
ROBERT L.Tank was only 1/4 full, would be more convenient if full on pick up. Was recorded as having a dolly, but didn't. I didn't need one, but that required me to take a picture of the back--why not take my word for it? If I was going to lie I could just move it out of the picture after all.
TIMOTHY M.The phone system is a joke 1. I was on hold for 45 minutes then got hung up on. 2. I was on Hold again 43 minutes your rep. was help, but he was supposed to get east Providence location to close out my contract so I could pay the balance that was die. He transferred me back onto the main menu in the phone system. The east Providence location certainly wasn't so busy the couldn't answer the phone. I dropped the van of on Sunday after being threatening by the manager there who said he would call the police on me if I didn't have the truck back by 1pm. My bank card was canceled and I was waiting on the new card or I could have just took the cash out of the bank. Today is Thursday and I still can't get in touch with someone to pay for the rental. ronald D.The mileage was incorrect when I left but since I didn't notice it I paid an extra $40. This is unacceptable it appears the person who had the truck before me self-reported the mileage and nobody checked to make sure that was accurate. Lesson learned I will be complaining.

Marcie I.(1) Provide me with keys to the correct truck. Was given keys and wrong truck. Went thru the whole dispute/approve picture text before leaving the lot, only to findout when checking the mileage, that the key doesnt work. The new guy (who self proclaimed he had only been there 3 weeks; he was NOT the one who gave me wrong truck) helped me find the correct truck. But, then i had to go back inside to get a new text message for the dispute/approve thing, which leads me to #2 (2) When you have a customer who picked up truck at 11 and was provided the wrong truck, that person should be priority in getting off the lot. So, that did not happen, and i had to wait another 25 mins to get a text message reset. So, I didnt actually leave until 1150am, when I was supposed have everything done by 1120ish (pick up and photo approval thing alotted time). (3) The guy who first gave me keys to the wrong truck (manager gent), told me dolky would be in the moving truck & I specifically asked for one. On the lot, the trucks were parked so close together I could not check. When i got home, I checked and no dolly was provided - so that made the move take longer

Roger P.Spend a little more time with the customer when they are picking up a vehicle. I felt rushed through the pickup process and was given the keys at the counter, pointed in the direction of the truck and sent on my way. The rental went fine after that and the price was very reasonable.
Louis P.I was upset that I was not notified of the location of my U-box. I had trouble getting info from the website & when I called, I was waiting 1 hour, the line dropped & I called again & waited about 20 minutes. I went to North Smithfield RI to get a few items from my U-box & was told the U-box wasn't there. I ended up going to East Providence RI & there was my U-box. I think U-Haul should have notified me of the location of my U-box.
Martha D.I assume all Uhaul rental facilities work this way- the employees did a good job but Uhaul seems shady. The burden of looking for damages and putting that responsibility on the renter isn't right. The employees should walk out and take care of that like they did before COVID. What if I missed something? What if I just don't feel like doing that because I don't work for Uhaul? There also seemed to be a lot of opportunities for Uhaul to charge for incidentals which is just a way to grab every dollar you can. I assume since I didn't get a full tank of gas, Uhaul charged a previous renter for not returning the gas full but must pocket that money instead of filing the tank. Something doesn't seem right.

I feel the Truck should have been retrieved for me, inspected together etc. The employee had walked to the vehicle in order to check the fuel and mileage, it should have been driven up closer

David W.My customer service experience was TERRIBLE. I made w reservation in APRIL, for a 10 foot truck. I got an email the day before saying I had to drive an additional 15 MILES to pick up/drop off my vehicle. I immediately called back and confirmed a different location. They CANCELLED both of the reservations I had, now I had to settle for a 9 foot van that fit barely anything, causing me to take work off and make up the hours. This experience sucked and made me very stressed out. I am never using Uhaul again, and I for sure would love compensation for my stress.
Callie F.The associate was very rude, could not read the gas gauge, told me I would be charged the fuel fee. I brought the truck back on quarter of a tank of gas, Same amount of gas at the pickup. The manager was more rude then the associate. I had to leave the location go to the gas station and put more gas. I was told by the manager the gas gauge needs to be over a quarter of tank not on the line. Asked me where Is my paperwork several times. Not understanding I picked the truck at at 5:45 am, office was closed at that time. No paperwork was provided. The manager stated that's your problem.
Joshua R.No enough personnel in the office. Windshield on the van wasn't even clean at pick up. When I tried to call the LOCAL OFFICE, I was rerouted to the 800 number. So, I had to call the manager's cell phone. Ridiculous. I wanted to return a roll of packing, but I was told that it was company policy that you had to have the receipt...even though the transaction is in your system and the item could have been scanned. I will recommend Penske to those who ask!

kris T.I am a frequent business customer. Aries is a top notch, top tier employee. Trucks are always ready and pulled out first thing in the morning . He is courteous, kind, funny and above all a professional. While you appreciate what Aries does, he makes it look easy, you don't understand until he's not there.. Aries is exceptional.

I am still receiving a bill for thousands of dollars and continuously harassed by one of the managers after I explained my situation. If I have a financial hardship and can't pay. How do you think that is suddenly going to change. And after I had already emptied out the unit and left my keys with your associates. They screwed up and I get blamed for it. It's bad enough that when you come into the office you can't get anyone to acknowledge your presence, nevermind help you. Your business is good but individual people are so incompetent and customers should not have to suffer for their lack of professionalism. Please do better.

That's not that big of deal, and then everything went down hill from there. I was expecting a bigger storage unit and I expressed that as I saw what I received. Didn't really try ans help me find a bigger one. And THEN the doors wouldn't open. The WHOLE time I was unloading my Uhaul full of stuff. The employee never came back to check on me and was like "idk I guess they're broken"?? Like what?? How unsafe also it took so long to take all my stuff out since I had to wedge the emergency door open! Super unsafe and I highly do NOT recommend

Very attentive to my needs and did not suffocate me with loads of products/services that would've costs lots of money. I had a bit of a weird experience with the issue in using the dumpsters at the property. I used the night I moved out and was charged $40 for it. At no point did someone from the company state that the dumpsters were off limits to renters. Mind you, someone came up to us at the trash and even wished us a good night. If that was the case, why weren't we addressed then? We would've immediately went elsewhere had we known prior to emptying out the unit and throwing them there, we would've went elsewhere.

Kathlene M. | Expérience généraleThere was an issue with the electronic entrance to my unit for the first 2 months of our experience, which meant I could not access the unit after 7pm, which did not adhere to the posted schedule I had signed up for. I brought it to the attention of management and they said they were working on fixing it & apologized for the inconvenience. But upon asking for some sort of bill reduction, I was told they'd have to ask the facility head. Ivory ever got back to me & I was given the runaround a few times. That's not right. Not giving me access at times outside my personal work hours really resulted in a terrible experience. Additionally, I showed up 10 minutes before the office closed one night & asked the staff member in duty if he could help me get into my unit as my card wasn't working. He said he couldn't because he was closing up. Again, awful customer service & completely inappropriate foe the staff member to value their closing over a customers needs while they were still open. While the door issue was eventually fixed, it was too little too late. We've since moved to another facility in the area & are having a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don't see myself ever using UHaul again.

Dawn went above and beyond to help me when I arrived it was noted that the call and reservation center did not send my storage rental information to them so they could get my ubox out of storage so I could have it transferred to a storage unit. They also gave me wrong information about what a split level unit is; luckily once again Dawn at the site location saved me from climbing stairs to get to a unit. Very unprofessional of UHAUL Call Center! If not for Dawn who went out of her way to get my ubox out from being buried among other uboxes, I would have been out $200 for the movers I had arranged. Thank you Dawn!!! As for the UHAUL Call & Reservation Center HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The storage facility at East Providence is clean but two things I didn't like: 1. street level storage units have very low ceilings, smell damp and there is no lights so the units are dark. 2. there is no elevator for above street level storage or split levels which is ridiculous!! don't know about lighting because I didn't look at those units.
