Get new trucks! The truck needs to be retired! Pretty sure the brake pads are gone/when stepping on the brake on the highway the pedal felt like gravel - not an alignment shake. I went to put the visor down and the clip it's in fell out of the roof. The back of the seat doesn't recline enough for a comfortable position if the seats back to accommodate long legs. Need to see a chiropractor after driving it for 4 hours.

Make the registration/rental process quicker for people who have already rented from U-Haul. Especially when you're renting the same type of trailer from the same location with the same vehicle. Great experience and convenience overall.

Lower the price of a pickup truck rental, it cost me nearly $100 for 4 hours. $20 for rental is fair, but $.79 per mile plus having to refuel is excessive. Why such a high mileage fee when the renter has to pay for the fuel anyway?

I've been to many, many Uhaul locations in my day, but this one is tops. Fast, friendly, courteous service, clean and orderly environment, so much help hooking up and unhooking the trailer, fast checkout... I usually don't do reviews but this place earned my future business.

I think you could re-evaluate some of the policies that effect your customer service; sometimes it behooves a business to make an exception to keep a long standing customer especially in a trivial matter that costs nothing.

Make sure your online reservation system works next time. It didn't reserve the truck at the location and I had to wait for staff to arrive an hour later. The online process was lengthy and was made much longer by forcing me to scroll through sales pitches. Overall this was not a good experience. It was supposed to save time and get my day going earlier, but instead tied things up.

I had a reservation and the van I reserved was not available. This location was walking distance from my home and I specifically planned the day around rush hour traffic to pick up at 2pm at this location. Instead I had to drive 20 minutes through bad traffic to the opposite side of town and ultimately got stuck in 5pm city traffic which I was trying to avoid. What's the point of a reservation if the equipment isn't available. The clerk was apologetic but the experience ruined my day.

I was accidentally given a different truck, but of the same length. I did not realize this until I tried to return the truck using the link that was texted to me. The mileage did not correspond to my truck, and so I could not complete the return process. I had to call U-Haul the next day to avoid additional fees. Fortunately, they were able to clear this up.

We rented a 20' truck and auto hauler at East Providence, RI. Lachandra hooked up the auto hauler to the truck and we drove the car up onto the hauler. She told us we needed to hook up the belts to the front wheels of our car and the 2 chains underneath the vehicle to secure the car to the hauler. When we asked her for help, she told us she said she could not help us with that and to go in the truck, "take a deep breath and read the instructions on our paperwork." It was 6 pm, dark and cold. She ran back inside. She did not have a single customer the 1 1/2 hours we were there trying to secure our car to the hauler. My husband got on the floor on his back in the dark trying to figure it out. We had no flashlight and could not see. i went back inside and asked for a flashlight and the young fellow came out and held his phone for us. We paid over $500 to rent this vehicle and it is absured that UHaul does not secure your car to the hauler. We had to drive it on the highway for 4 hours. I am very unhappy with the service at this East Providence, RI location and will NEVER go back again. The older gentleman who was there when we picked up the truck in the morning, was very helpful.

Well I went to pick up the uhaul Saturday morning, they was busy which is understandable, but computer was slow, gentleman behind the counter had to enter info more then once . The uhaul wasn't cleaned off n windows were frozen that the truck had to run for about 45 minutes n pick up time was 9am , so that's saying truck ran for long time n that used up the gas n yet was charged for use of gas usuals, which I yet have to call into uhaul to voice my option about all this , I know that it's out of their control with weather but should have uhaul trucks cleaned n ready for there customer to grab n go. Along with charges I also was charged with charges the I declined n which also will voice my option . Hopefully they accommodate my issues.

I'll start with the positive in that the staff on my return understood customer service. Hence the 3 stars. Negative - the man that helped me at pickup should find alternate employment. He stopped helping me to assist someone else actually leaving the building. The van had a light pole directly behind it with another vehicle making it very hard to get the vehicle out - no help at all. He also told me they had the fleet busy and I better be back by 5 or rent a truck. A later call proved that to be nonsense.

I had spoken to someone twice that I could not afford to pay for the unit any longer and my information was ignored and now over one year after clearing out my unit and not paying. I am still receiving a bill for thousands of dollars and continuously harassed by one of the managers after I explained my situation. If I have a financial hardship and can't pay. How do you think that is suddenly going to change. And after I had already emptied out the unit and left my keys with your associates. They screwed up and I get blamed for it. It's bad enough that when you come into the office you can't get anyone to acknowledge your presence, nevermind help you. Your business is good but individual people are so incompetent and customers should not have to suffer for their lack of professionalism. Please do better.

So. First I go there and it takes over 15 minutes to get a checked in (there's only one guy ahead of me). That's not that big of deal, and then everything went down hill from there. I was expecting a bigger storage unit and I expressed that as I saw what I received. Didn't really try ans help me find a bigger one. And THEN the doors wouldn't open. The WHOLE time I was unloading my Uhaul full of stuff. The employee never came back to check on me and was like "idk I guess they're broken"?? Like what?? How unsafe also it took so long to take all my stuff out since I had to wedge the emergency door open! Super unsafe and I highly do NOT recommend

I want to give a huge shout out to Moragn Amador at this location. She was spectacular when assisting us with the move in and day prior to moving out. Very attentive to my needs and did not suffocate me with loads of products/services that would've costs lots of money. I had a bit of a weird experience with the issue in using the dumpsters at the property. I used the night I moved out and was charged $40 for it. At no point did someone from the company state that the dumpsters were off limits to renters. Mind you, someone came up to us at the trash and even wished us a good night. If that was the case, why weren't we addressed then? We would've immediately went elsewhere had we known prior to emptying out the unit and throwing them there, we would've went elsewhere.

Very nice helpful staff (met at least 5 members all great), clean new storage unit, contents same condition as when we put them in after one year, no signs of pests, would recommend. We had a small unit in same building as office.

There was an issue with the electronic entrance to my unit for the first 2 months of our experience, which meant I could not access the unit after 7pm, which did not adhere to the posted schedule I had signed up for. I brought it to the attention of management and they said they were working on fixing it & apologized for the inconvenience. But upon asking for some sort of bill reduction, I was told they'd have to ask the facility head. Ivory ever got back to me & I was given the runaround a few times. That's not right. Not giving me access at times outside my personal work hours really resulted in a terrible experience. Additionally, I showed up 10 minutes before the office closed one night & asked the staff member in duty if he could help me get into my unit as my card wasn't working. He said he couldn't because he was closing up. Again, awful customer service & completely inappropriate foe the staff member to value their closing over a customers needs while they were still open. While the door issue was eventually fixed, it was too little too late. We've since moved to another facility in the area & are having a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don't see myself ever using UHaul again.

The staff at the East Providence, RI location are excellent, providing excellent customer service. Dawn went above and beyond to help me when I arrived it was noted that the call and reservation center did not send my storage rental information to them so they could get my ubox out of storage so I could have it transferred to a storage unit. They also gave me wrong information about what a split level unit is; luckily once again Dawn at the site location saved me from climbing stairs to get to a unit. Very unprofessional of UHAUL Call Center! If not for Dawn who went out of her way to get my ubox out from being buried among other uboxes, I would have been out $200 for the movers I had arranged. Thank you Dawn!!! As for the UHAUL Call & Reservation Center HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The storage facility at East Providence is clean but two things I didn't like: 1. street level storage units have very low ceilings, smell damp and there is no lights so the units are dark. 2. there is no elevator for above street level storage or split levels which is ridiculous!! don't know about lighting because I didn't look at those units.

The lights in our hallway where our storage were off. Was told to walk all the way down for them to turn on. Didn't happen and had to pack most of it in the dark. Every other hallway had lights but ours. Rang the assistance buzzer multiple times and no kne answered or came.

Very easy to use and safe. Even though I was moving during the coronavirus outbreak the employees at this location helped me with my move by answering questions and giving information whenever possible, making my move and storage even easier. Merci.

I was in and out of my storage for 4 months. I find the staff very friendly and helpful. It was always clean and I had no problems. billing and payment was easy with the on line app.

Very disappointed when I opened my storage liocker to find my items covered in mold. The queen mattress and box spring, a few tables, chair pads and linens are permanently damaged.

I was told that automatic billing was set up at the time of rental start and when it came time for the second months rent we found out that it wasn't set up correctly and we had to pay a late charge

Vehicle was fine, but storage was disaster. 401-286-3267 cell. got there after hours. lock on unit. manager did come to unlock but was wrong size unit. now i have to pay for bigger unit than i want.

Our storage unit was indoors on a second floor. It was well-maintained, clean and never felt like our belongings were in jeopardy of damage or getting stolen. Very nice facility.

I was surprised by the size of the unit. The website states it can fit three bedrooms. I believe this is true if you have small furniture. I had to purchase two units to fit a two room apartment.

I arrived 1 hour after they opened, unit wasn't ready. Wouldn't let me do paper work to set it up, told me to just come back "later." Wasted my time. I canceled my reservation and used someone else.
