The space is great and security is great. Largest complaint is it was under staffed both times and staff seemed as if they didn't care if they got to you in a timely manner. I had to wait in line for an hour (2nd in line) while other staff members were outside and walking around. Putting a drop off button day for local pick up would be cool so that you are not expected to bring the truck back day. I originally planned to have the truck until Monday but was told I had to have it back Saturday(24 hours) I could do that because all my family and friends were helping the following days. The guy at the counter was very rude about this whole situation. I called customer service and they got my taken care of. Having that drop off date for local trips would have avoided all of this.Tyler C.

The truck we got had a exhaust leak and was not able to drive long without stopping for some fresh air. I told Brian and did not even seem to bother him only to say he was going to send it in to be fixed. You would think you would at least get an apology for the subpar truck we paid good money for a few hours or a discount at least.Stanley H.

Great service from employees but the system of u-haul needs some work. Computer errors to miscommunications from other stores on tryna make reservations for pickup at locations that have none available and not knowing the location has nothing so waiting in line an hour to find out stinks.NATHEN P.
The check in process was smooth. The only complaint I have is that if a customer rents moving blankets, requiring them to fold them upon return is ridiculous. The gentleman checking us back in threatened to charge me a fee if I didn't get back in the truck and fold the 6 dozen moving blankets that I paid to rent. Folding should be included in the price of rental.Sydney R.
The driving experience of the trucks are not great. The pedal placement makes it hard to not hit the gas when trying to find the brake. No cruise control and an uncomfortable pedal placement makes it hard to not get a leg cramp. Had to make up a position for my leg to get comfortable. Would not recommend for droves longer than an hour.Dalton L.

I did everything online, including using the online pickup / return system. I set the reservation for 10am. I didn't arrive until around 10:30 and the truck was still not ready; was still being cleaned/readied for me. Additionally, the online system says you can "skip the line" to pick up the key. The only attendant inside was with another client and and I waited 5 - 10 minutes before he addressed me and then said the truck is still in return processing. When he was done with the other customer, he got me the key. Not really "skipping the line." A much longer wait than anticipated to pickup the truck. Also, 35 $to fill a quarter thank of gas seems excessive...and a surprise Somewhere I missed the gas filling clause in the fine print. Otherwise, return was less painful than the pickup.Harold C.

The van exterior was dirty, but interior seemed ok. I wasn't told I would get an electronic notice to confirm condition of vehicle before leaving facility, and didn't see message until much later. The wait for service at pick up was apx 20 minutes. The wait for drop off service was over 30 minutes and whole process nearly an hour.Karen N.

The employee greeted us with "You are supposed to call before you returned your truck". Not very welcoming. It took 45 minutes to return the vehicle. I would recommend the location simply because it brings business to this side of town.William G.

I checked it back in on the phone and got charged for an extra day. I did not leave it for the crew to check in. I scanned the barcode and took picture. We had issues from the start as to the file having pictures or not. Also why am I getting charged more miles when I am under the original set I had estimated and paid for. The recipet needs to be better clearly scanned/submitted cause you can barely make out the numbers.Amanda B.

Set up for 2 days (pick up at 7am) about a month in advance. When I picked it up I was informed I could only use one day(24 hours). Talking counterman into letting me return at 3:00pm (32 hours) the next day due to it going back out at 4:15pm. Also 2 other trucks the same side still sitting in the lot when picked up and returned.BLAKE F.

Revamp your website for checking equipment back in. I had several attempts to check my vehicle back in, and it timed out every time. So, I had to pay the 20 $extra, and now think it was a cash grab in your part.SCOTT S.

I had a poor experience with uhaul, not this location. I ordered a 26 foot truck online for 7 hours from the nearest uhaul to me (within 5-10 min). I got called the day before advising the location didn't have this truck, but the location on Douglas next to Merle hay had a 20 ft truck that I could have for the same time (7 hours). It was only going to add 5 min to my trip and I figured that would be okay. I got to the merle hay location on Douglas, and saw the receipt on my email showed it for 4 hours instead of 7. They confirmed they didn't have a truck for me for 7 hours and offered me to go to the Hubble location for on the other side of town (a 15-20 min drive) to be able to get a 17 ft truck for a day. The location at Hubble was very friendly and gave me a discount for the inconvenience, but the whole process was just a bummer and needs to be improved. Uhaul can do better than this and I will be sure to look into other rental companies the next time I need to use a rental truck.LAMAR T.

More help. Mike drove my truck up and gave me the keys. Outside was ok and he went inside. I then noticed the gas was close to 1/4 instead of 3/8 and there were 3 other parties in line. Did not have the time to wait to get it corrected. I'd think the gas is the first thing to look at for the uhaul rep to verify.Timothy P.

The entire truck was dirty! Inside it was apparent it had not been wiped down , let alone SANITIZED!!!!! Cup holders were gross, steering wheel was sticky. The back very clearly had not been swept. The outside of the truck was filthy clearly had not been washed in quite awhile. Lastly, the truck was struggling to go the 55-65 speed limit. Worst truck i have ever rented. 145,00 $ gross experience.Linda T.

Figure out your website if u continue to do no contact pick up 24/7. Staff could show more urgency to customers in-line. Atleast a "state your purpose" from whom ever is stocking bundles of boxes. Waiting on my pending transactions from this place. Spent more time ever pickin up rental! U wld think the truck would be parked conviently not the 2nd to last in a row of four + an island + a single truck parked for next row of rentals. GollyTiyanna W.
The â€œreturn dateâ€ on the paper says 12:00am and the day after your actual return date. That was confusing to me. I thought I was supposed to bring it back the next day before midnight and was almost charged more. Thankfully a staff member was understanding and waved the extra day fee for me.BRET D.
I extended my rental for 4 days. I called in everyday and paid rental fees, added miles, and protection plan for each day. They are still trying to charge me 200 dollars for things I've to already paid for!! Also on 2 days when I called in, I mentioned that the windshield wipers didn't work which is why I had to extend my rental in the first place due to the rain/snow mix I couldn't see to drive to get my items moved. Also, when I called in to extend my rental the guy answering the phone put me on hold for 20 min. I hung up and called back and he starts laughing and said he forgot I was on hold. Pickup bed had snow in it and we had to shivel It out before we could use and at time of pick up gas guage was sitting on empty and had to get gas immediately they did give a gas credit but they are supposed to have a 1/4 tank of gas. We have rented from this retailer before and never got this kind of service. I am hoping it doesn't happen againDaniel J.

The staff was fine and fixed a broken strap before I took the trailer. I believe there was an issue with the brakes which caused the trailer to jerk my truck after stopping and taking off again. The price was extremely higher than it should have been....650 for 3 days is rediculious but I was in a bind. I've used these trailers multiple times locally because they are affordable, looks like that has come to an end.JOHN SPENCER N.

Represet your trailers for what they are. I rented a 5 X 7 Trailer, had it hooked up and, wired. Then drove 30 miles to find out that the 5 X 7 is really a FUCKING 3 X 7! I mean SERIOUSLY!!! A 5 X & that measures only 3'3"! THAT'S FUCKING RIDICULOUS! I then called UHaul to speak with some brain dead fucking MORON who was reading from some stupid script, and was ZERO help. all the information she gave me was wrong, so I enden driving across town again to the location I originally rented for your BULLSHIT. The employees and manager at the location I rented from, were exceptional, and took care of me to the very best of their ability. On second trip over I saw cockroaches running around, and on my final pick up I saw mouse droppings all over the place. I sprayed cockroach killer each visit and did see mouse traps the last time in the units that the doors were opened, but I will never leave my stuff here again for fear of what I will bring back to my house. I had my stuff here for 4 months and after 2 months the rate went up by 40 $a month (about 50 %) and no one ever told me that was going to happen, and since I have auto pay, it blindsided me, I was told that was the new rate. My experience was not necessarily a positive one, but I feel the staff and the manager made every effort to assist me. It feels as though they may be very short-staffed, which is stressful for both staff and customers. I had an exceedingly long wait on multiple occasions prior to my move-in, and noticed that some people walked out, unable to make their purchases. To their credit, the staff remain friendly, professional and helpful so I feel they are doing the best they can under difficult circumstances. I had to pay additional charges from the trucking company that moved me due to the long wait to get checked in. There is some type of construction taking place at this time in the storage area, so I found there is dust in the air. Someone was smoking in the storage area and I am hoping that it is not something that continues as I do not want our belongings to smell like cigarette smoke. The manager/staff assisted me with issues that occurred and I am appreciative of their efforts and satisfied at this time.Kathleen S. | Premières impressions
