Over charged for miles!! Did not drive as many miles as charged for !

Everyone was very nice a knowledgeable on the equipment. We were in and out very quickly. Van was clean, and had no issues. Drop off guy was very nice, and got us on our way quickly.

The truck had a leak and got my clothes all wet and ruined a bunch of food. The linkage to the transmission was in horrible shape. Would chalk it up to it just happens but when dropping it off they said that they knew it leaked and tried to fix it. I'm assuming they didn't do a water check after trying or they would have known it wasn't fixed. Also they said oh yeah that's the one with transmission trouble. So they knew it was messed up. I have always used this location. They are always great to me and try to take care of me. Customer service was great this time as always, they just dropped the ball with follow up on the equipment. Truck needs fixed before renting again. If it would have been another renter with less experience than me they would have blown up your transmission. Thank you! Have a great day.

The truck was pretty dirty, which has never happened before in hundreds of trucks that we have rented before. The zip tie on the hand cart was also broken, so I hope we don't get charged for it. We've always had great experiences with U-Haul, so I just hope we are not charged for another customer's messiness. I tried to contact the store, but they were not available to answer.

make sure that all of your trucks is at least ,has a half of tank of gas i had to stop and put gas in the truck which costed me more time and mileage before i even gotten to my destination .also the truck felt like it was old and Ragley as hell driving it .you need to up date or buy new trucks.felt like the truck was going to stop on me .

took over a hour to ck in at 3 pm on a sunday , then i did not get the size storage unit i thought i had reserved . and doors were not working and when we were done unloading we aske where to park the trailer and were told with the other ones. then i get a call the next day about returning the trailer. They didn't have my 10 ft available but upgraded me to a 15 ft for no cost. Alexander at the desk was super cool and informative, especially after we joked about both being named Alex. 10/10 will recommend

From the moment I walked in Roosevelt was attentive, professional and knowledgeable about the best truck I would need. He wasn't distracted while working which allowed me to get in and out. I was very pleased and honestly surprised at the professionalism displayed at all times. When I came in to pick up the truck Daylin waited on us and again, fast service and he was actually working on two of us at the same time in a very professional manner. At drop off Kevin immediately came out as I was struggling to get my truck turned in and close out the rental. He was pleasant and again, very professional. Don began going over the truck at check in and cleaning the truck it. We left and came back looking for my charger that we thought we had left. Don was kind enough to stop what he was doing to walk over to the rental and look inside with me. My son in law had removed the charger for me. I'm so appreciative of the service I received. The Shadeland location and Pendleton pike were closer to me but the reviews weren't the greatest. I mentioned that to Roosevelt when I reserved the truck and he said "ahhh, not here, you will get good service from all of us." And he was CORRECT!!!! Thank you to this entire team. There was also a lady there when I made the reservation but she too was fast at work and that's why I don't know her name. EXCELLENT display of TEAM WORK, PROFESSIONALISM and QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE.

The truck needed a deep clean on the interior. There wasn't any trash in the truck but it was just dirty and worn looking. Their customer service needs a lot of work. The cashier snapped my photo without asking on what looked like a black iPhone and wasn't friendly at all

The clerk assigned my a truck that was blocked in by two other trucks. I walked back to the customer service center, told the clerk, truck was blocked in, and could they move the other truck so I can leave. The clerk can't find the keys to the other truck. The clerk assigned me other truck that was at end of the roll of parked trucks so I could leave. That place was so unorganized.

Manager was rude "Pat or Pam" not sure of the name was very condescending and rude. When I asked why a second phone number was needed. She stated that if I didn't like it I should take my business someplace else. Not very user friendly.

The drop-off experience was fine but the fact that our storage unit is inside the building and down a hallway was discouraging. It was extremely difficult to unload.

I set up an online reservation to have to still go in the location and be treated so poorly because they didn't have a Self Check services. I waited in line and was late picking up my rental that cause me to be late with my moving on January 29th. The elder clerk was utterly rude and I hope not to come to his location in Indianapolis again. Why would you have customers set up online a self checkout to still have to come in and do the process all over again. A Humiliating experience ever.

The representative went above and beyond to assist me with my rental. I initially reserved from the Pendleton Pike & Shadeland location but they didn't have a truck available. So a rep found a truck at this location, extended my reservation and was very pleasant thru the whole experience. This came after searching 1,5 hrs for a truck the night before at that same location smh! My only thing was I didn't see a key return box (which was no big deal), so I put the key back in the lockbox. Thank you for GREAT customer service!

How more people. It was only 1 person working and my reservation was for 4pm, but nobody was available to check me in until 4:30pm.

The truck I was given should not have been on the road. It was faulty and dangerous in several ways, beginning with starting the engine. The ignition switch was difficult to turn. Once started, the gear selector was so inaccurate it had to be reset continuously so that it was in D not N. There was a loud whining from either transmission or engine, and at times the engine/transmission struggled to shift to the next gear, running in a lower gear. If there was a cause for excess fuel consumption, this was it. The odometer light was dim and hard to read. I could not adjust the door mirrors for my vision, so guesswork often to know where a following vehicle was. The front end suspension was completely shot, I'd say, as every bump, road hole or turning of the steering wheel could cause wiggle and bounce. The position of the steering wheel in straight line driving was about 30 degrees off. The the overhead cargo gate would not latch sometimes. When I stopped to refuel, I discovered that the gate had rolled up, the cargo exposed, and the pull-out ramp had extended more than half way. I attempted to call Uhaul during the trip to the destination (check your records) but was handed off to another party about 3 times, with no contact with a live voice. Then, when I returned to the Uhaul dealer the next day, having returned after closing, according to the employee at 6:55, the employee who reviewed the rental could not explain why I was not emailed the documents. WHY? BECAUSE THE PERSON WHO COMPLETED THE CONTRACT ENTERED MY EMAIL ADDRESS AS rldefour@alumni.iu.edu, instead of rldufour@alumni.iu.edu. Twice I told her the correct spelling and she botched. Only then were the documents sent. The total cost of the rental charges of $133 should be refunded, and whoever cleared the truck as roadworthy should be terminated. Richard L Dufour

I didn't get any names but the man who checked my keys out on 2/24/24 at 10am was very nice and professional. The older lady who was there that same day around 2pm was not so much. Not at all friendly, nice or professional. Also this place didn't have a key lock box like the last one I went to, that was so much more convient. Merci.

I didn't have a very good experience. I had to wait at least 45 minutes. The person in charge couldn't get her mechanical device to work to check me in. It seems like none of them were working then I had to find my own truck in the parking lot. Very upsetting. Handed me the key and told me it's out there in the parking lot. Look up the numbers you know how many trucks were out there? Several!! obviously no help. I walk back in to see if I could get somebody to help me to find my vehicle. No help around so I walked back out and finally found it . No service at all. I thought they would bring my vehicle up to me and make sure I understood everything about it but I guess theirs no service anymore very upset

Nothing. As always, crew was great and respectful. Store and lot was clean. The truck was clean and drove smooth. Due to the great service and cleanliness, my truck I got wasn't at a full tank but I went ahead and returned it at full. Mr. Rice was great yet again, Pam the GM is an awesome lady. Keep up the great work folks! ps. This is random but I collect hats can I PLEASE have a uhaul bucket hat?! Haha All jokes aside, I will always recommend this location.

I tried to do the mobile pick-up. I followed all of the steps; I never received a call from the U-Haul Representative to complete the pick-up. In turn, I had to go in the store to complete the pick-up. The return was unnecessarily lengthy. There were several team members that walked past me during the return and did not assist me after waiting at least 10 minutes. I, In turn, completed a mobile return and while attempting to return the keys; I was approached by a man that did not work there to tell me that I couldn't return the keys in the drop box. He was actually visiting someone that worked there. This location is poorly managed and unprofessional. I have visited this location on two other occasions with unsatisfactory outcomes, this will be my last.

Make sure the gas is put back on 1/2 tank . The cargo van I received was not on 1/2 tank . I didn't use much gas. I put gas back in that I used , so put it back to where it was when I received it , I got charged for it I assume and I returned van well before my expected time.

I was charged for gas that was not needed. I took pictures of the miles until empty and left it with almost 10 more gallons than when I picked it up but was charged a $30+ dollar fee anyway

First trailer was defective. Switched trucks to a dirty nasty truck then figured out was trailer. Went back to first truck with new trailer. Problems getting site to upload pics of damaged tailgate. People were great but to hour and a half after checkout to get on way. Final equipment was good just took awhile to get sorted out People were very nice though.

During my move in my truck was towed in and my possessions and tools and keys were disposed of within 24 hours and the contract signed said that I have 3days to get the stuff. I have made reports and got no results at all. Just the run around..Pam was the acting manager at the time at the east Washington location by the Eastgate mall by short ridge.

I used this location for storage after a move. Pam, the manager, was especially wonderful to work with and coordinate on the phone. The location is both clean and feels secure. I had no qualms about the security of my items and would use this location again.

I asked for a reservation at the facility at the 6500 block of Washington and by the time I checked my email I noticed that my reservation was made at the wrong facility which does not have 24-hour access which was what I was looking for in the first place and when I tried to change to the other facility I was told that they did not have the size of a storage unit that I needed and could not change the price of a larger one to accommodate the price that I had originally been quoted. So not a great experience

I was overcharged for this unit. I rented out space and my items was only there for 2days or 3 days tops than I gather everything up and moved into my new home… I continue to receive calls months from the manager. After me telling the manager the unit was empty I was charged for at least 3months of rent while not even occupying the space. This is horrible and I will never go to Uhaul again.

One way truck rental includes free storage for one month, once we arrive with a 20ft truck full with 3bdr worth of inventory , the storage they offered was the size of a small closet. I had to locate alternate company storage immediately to empty the truck very disappointed.

First of all, i didn't move in! They accidentally moved me out of their system. The worst ! Location personnel only call when they want to get paid.. I have called this facility many many times and they route the calls to the national call center. They then call me that Location personnel will call me back. It never happened. They finally call back after the auto pay was cancelled for a storage that I moved out from....which I was calling them about for two weeks. There's more to the story .....Surprisingly.. I received a call whitin a day or two because they accidentally turned off the auto pay from My second storage that I still have over there...asking me for my credit card!...very incompetent ! Except for one male personnel, everyone else is rude.

Worst experience ever with your rude people. Tried to call a million times but every phone call was floated to national phone. I was told that the manager was going to return my call. Even regional promised that I was going to be called. I left two messages with manager...no return call. They finally called me because I removed the automatic payment. They tagged my storage ready to be rented on March 14 before I even got a chance to clean and closed it myself. They won't prorated my rent when they chose to tag my unit. They only call when they are not getting paid. They are rude as well.

I was informed in the emails and texts I received that there would be a lock in the storage unit so I could lock it up once I finished unloading. There was no such thing so I had to go hunting for a lock around town. Not convenient for me, nor was it honest in the communication about the unit. That is the only reason I would not recommend this place to a friend.

I moved out two days into the pay cycle, most companies would refund a pro-rated balance but not uhaul. While the facility and the personnel were nice the corporate policies should be reviewed to be more customer oriented. I'm extremely disappointed that this U-haul had advertised online that you got one month free of storage if you rented a truck from them only to find out that is a lie. I only picked u-haul storage because online it stated you got one month free with a u-haul truck rental. I spoke to the gentleman that rented me my storage unit and truck about it when I returned the truck and he said "oh we're not doing that promotion anymore. They'll eventually get it off (the website)" I stated that was why we had picked u-haul but he didn't seem to care.

I asked to use the dumpster to throw away a couple items that I was unable to clear out due to my help coming down with COVID. I was told they have dumpsters but not for you to use & was threatened with $150 disposal charge. The manager had no sympathy & was very hateful. While on the phone waiting for a response about using the dumpster I heard the manager bragging about calling the police on a customer. Very upset with my household furniture due to roach infestation we had to trash majority of our TV's, electronics, mattresses, kitchen items, clothes and more because of roaches being inside. It was very disappointing especially the amount I had to pay. I would like to file a claim because I paid for that coverage as well

I used this facility for a full year and did not experience anything but first class service. The climate control and cleanliness of all areas (including restrooms) is outstanding. The area set aside to leave/pickup unwanted items is an added bonus. In addition to the helpful staff, what I probably liked most was the ability to pull my vehicle inside, out of the weather, to load/unload. Should the situation arise in the future where I am in need of extra storage, I will definitely use this location again and highly recommend them to others. Ron Sutton Indianapolis

I would like to recognize the GM Pam of the Indianapolis East Washington Street location for extraordinary service and effort in helping me through several issues with finding the right storage unit. I rented a 26ft. truck and upon return the gentleman was not friendly because we arrived 15 minutes prior to close. He made sure I knew he was not happy to stay a few minutes over. The next morning I met Pam the GM and she was gracious, pleasant and very very knowledgeable of her store and operations She deserves a raise and someone to listen how to make things better. good job Pam

I pay for 24 hour access I was there late at night management called the cops on me I pay for 24-hour access and 24 hour storage so I should be allowed to be there anytime of the night or anytime of the day and not feel like the cops are going to come arrest me I got work to do and places to be at the reason why I got this unit was because it was 24 hour access that's how it was advertised I want my money back

The manager there needs more help. Other than that she'd doing well for what staff she has working.

Pam needs to be fired. With people such as her and others with the same low character as she employed at your facility, I'll never use U-Haul again. That's after decades of being a customer, but after my experiences with the staff this last time, I'll use another company from here on out.

Access hours advertised as 5am til 10pm. Loaded my truck and arrived 8:30pm. Swiped my card but access door would not open. Called the "after hours" number. No response. Called office twice today - no one answers. Corporate finally answered and said they'd have my local facility contact me. Still nothing. May just cancel and go somewhere else. This is NOT how you do customer service.

Lots of dolly's available Made al. The defferenct was awesome I had uhaul and public storage e washington st It was ok No carts not 1 4 months never had any They didn't know where they were Bever go there again Thank you for been there in my time of need uhaul was the best

This U-Haul facility was exceptional and made our move to Indiana seem easy. Secure facility, well lit, conveniently located - couldn't ask for better. The desk personnel were very friendly and helpful.

The conversion from the old business into storage facility is very nice! However, the above average rate per unit will drive me to utilize others as needs change. I store a lot from time to time! and still have a unit there at this location! Darrell Frazier
