I reserved a trailer on Saturday at 4:00pm to use on Sunday at 10:00am and when I showed up to get the trailer it wasn't there, they had rented out my reserved trailer so I had to wait until they called the person they had rented my trailer to and made him bring it back because they said he was supposed to have had it back in time but he failed to return it on time, so it put me behind schedule the entire day.

Of the 4 boxes the were initially delivered to us, only 1 closed without force and easily sealed. Thankfully we ended up only needing 1, so we used that one. As for the pros, customer service and the online portal was very helpful and my box was delivered when it was supposed to. But if possible, Uhaul should check the quality of the boxes before they are delivered.

DAVID JThe positive: the UHaul location was large, well maintained, with good parking, the vehicle drove well and was safe. The struggle: the charge rate per mile rate is expensive. Some customer service was excellent, but other customer service today was very mediocre. Such as making the customer wait 10-15 min just for any assistance. Then when giving assistance the UHaul sales rep didn't even look me in the face/eye, or show any reasonable civility.

EDWARD ENothing. Morgan couldn't have been more knowledgeable, professional and pleasant and everyone else was equally so. Old school great service. I've rented equipment and space from many other companies but nothing has ever been as clear and easy as this truck and storage rental. I only wish this facility had a massive property of drive-up storage.
JOHN MContract 90177375 Dear Sirs: I contracted one of your units and had shipped from La Mesa California to Winslow Maine. In doing so I spent approximately $2700. I have no complaints with the service that I receive in La Mesa. I do however have a complaint about the service I received in Augusta where the unit ended up. After I was notified that the unit arrived I the called on August 9th to confirm that the box was there and that we wanted to do self delivery. I then called on August 14th to schedule self delivery and the employee at the Augusta location was very rude. She told me she was busy and that there was no trailer for self delivery. She took my name and phone number and she said she would call me back. I didn't get her name. After not receiving a call back I called the following afternoon. I called 17 times before someone answered at the augusta location. First they could not find the reservation then said there wasn't a trailer available so I asked when will a trailer be available and all of sudden there was one available the following day at 4 pm. The following day at 4 the person picking up the trailer for me arrived. The units was not loaded, service was very slow and at that point it took a total of 2 hours to get the trailer loaded and we could leave. When we arrived he me and opened the unit it was like added on the trailer backwards making it almost impossible to unload For the amount of money I spent I was very disappointed in the service I received in the Augusta office. I cancelled a different storage I had at another company to get the month free & what seemed very convenient but was told by customer service I had to pay $69,99 and that they didn't have access to the month free deal & I was given false information. I was/ an upset for wrong information and inconveniencing me.

Jennifer CI would recommend the location ONLY BECAUSE THEY HAVE ALOT OF INVENTORY, CENTRALLY LOCATED. The problem I have is the length of time you have to stand in line to rent a vehicle. It's AWFUL. A suggestion for BETTER CUSTOMER SERVI CE would be getting a number ticket dispenser where a customer can pull the ticket with a number and digital sign on wall saying, NOW SERVING # 32 at WINDOW 1. So we dont get angry and frustrated. ALso, the app isnt much better . I just tried that last night. I finally gave up and completed reservation at uhaul location. The app does NOT HAVE the capability to go back to next page WITHOUT ERASING ALL OR SOME OF THE DATA YOU JUST PUT IN. YOU HAVE TO START ALL OVER! VERY FRUSTRAI NG. AND< ANOTHER THIN G I HATE is I SPEND ALOT ALOT of MONEY HERE and I WANT A CLEAN VEHICLE AND CLEAN FREAKIN G WINDOWS AND MIRRORS!!! THIS IS MY PET PEEVE! I HAVE TO CLEAN THE VEHICLE WHEN I PICK IT UP BECAUSE I CANT SEE OUT OF THE DAMN WINDOWS. alexis hMy son and I were over charged for the mileage and gas. The drivers side mirrors was wobbly and wouldn't stay in place so he could use it safely and the front desk girl was extremely rude also the knob to roll down the drivers side window kept coming off. Very poor all the way around Owe trip in milage totaled 23 miles we were charged 43 miles and we replaced the $10 in gas and was charged $18. The front desk girl was rude and refused to credit what was charged. We had a 10' truck with a furniture dolly for 2 hours we drove from the U-Haul place to Greenfield then to 2260 Alpine Blvd and then back to the U-Haul place in just under 2 hours and was charged $ 98 dollars or so . I paid over $700 to U-Haul this past month I should have gotten some sort of discount. I will be calling the Manager about this.

Bonnie R | Déménagement en ligneNo elevator at U-Haul Moving & Storage Of El Cajon. Lock Latches of my unit was uneven, spent 20 minutes trying to put the lock on latches of the unit door. Staff member had to use a drill to enlarge the diameter of one latch, so it could work. Storage building is like a maze, hard to find your unit. I spent 2hrs there for 15 mins job - 5 boxes to be put in to the unit. I got very frustrated with the whole situation. Someone was trying to break into a unit- it turned out to be theirs, as they lost keys. My overall experience at this storage was not good. One Staff member was very nice and helpful tough. (that is why 3 stars otherwise would have been - star).

Jason C | Expérience généraleAccess to unit end at 10pm. There are no elevators to load items on the upstairs levels so people are limited on what can be stored in upstairs units. All you have is a stair ladder to climb up with boxes for the upstairs units. They put away loading carts at 7pm despite the access to unit being open until 10pm so even though you get in there are no carts available to use to load faster. Price board at the counter only displays upstairs unit lower prices and does not show that price is higher for bottom units. entrance into store shows prices but at first glance it does not make it clear that prices are different for top and bottom units. All prices should be displayed at the counter where you pay so it's more obvious what you are paying for. The guy working the computer forgot to say prices are different for bottom units when providing info on storage options.

The manager smiled as she let me know there was nothing she could do, meanwhile neighboring unit was stealing my things, as she knew. We still had access to the place. The inside is a very nice temperature and makes one comfortable with storing sensitive materials. If I had to store again, I would use this place again.

The bigger problem is that the loading area was not secure, there was almost no parking on site, and there were folks loitering in the parking lot. I wouldn't feel comfortable using this facility by myself or at night, and cancelled my contract. Phillip was very helpful over the phone. I will not be recommending this location.

Also, no carts available for us to transport items from car. Finally, a homeless person is evidently renting a unit to live in, suggessted by a bicycle with a loaded cart on back and an open door with clothes hanging and a light inside but clear that the person was making an effort to stay quiet. This was on Thanksgiving Day.

One man was clearly taking a bath/changing clothes on one of the stair cases used for getting up to lockers. There was no way for me to access the unit let alone feel as though it was safe for me to even use the lockers. I felt like it was interesting that not only 5 minutes after close did it become basically a homeless village. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

For the equipment rent shes charging me for almost $800 one way. But when i called the uhaul office they only charge me for $514 for everything. I got lots of experience at uhaul offices in just one day. 3 different locations. The uhaul main office when she called me she asked me why they over charging me. I dont have answers to give her but then i cancelled those reservation that is overcharging me.
