We waited a full HOUR to rent a van we pre-ordered! There were only 2 agents working at the time, and of them may have had the worst customer service personalities I’ve ever encountered. Staffing needs to be addressed at this location ASAP, or the only thing left to happen is closure.

You should have more staff on the weekend. The line was too long and it took me 30 minutes to pick the car because only one staff was working. June is a very nice staff who dealt me on the return. She is a pleasant person.

The check in process is exceptionally slow. You offer online check-in, but it still takes far too long once at the location. Waiting 20 minutes to get a truck is excessive; we were still expected to bring it back within 4 hours of when we booked it, not when we actually got the truck.

There were only 2 employees working a Saturday morning that was a first of the month so the wait was long. A woman was allowed to jump the line because she had “already checked in” but everyone in line had also already checked in and protested loudly. I reserved 2 dollies and a bag of pads but was told these were first come first serve and they were all out. Why can you reserve them when they are not reservable?? I would have made other arrangements if I had known. The truck I was given was filthy. There was old spilled coffee, a huge amount of dog hair, half a bag of spilled chips on the floor. It was very dirty. The check engine light was on and the truck did not sound right. I was amazed I made it to and from my destination. The woman who actually helped me was really nice though.

After spending over 90 minutes in the two weeks previous to our booking, finding and ensuring we had a location that could supply the needed, 2 furniture dollies, 1 utility dolly and blankets I was extremely frustrated to find out our order wouldn't be honoured. After making the reservation, moving it two times to locations that assured me (by phoning the actual location not the 1-888 #) and then getting there to find that they had no needed equipment was infuriating. We had a piano to move and needed those items. Then we had to waste an hour while the staff phoned other locations and I tried to get head office (the main #) to have a supervisor release two furniture dollies that were for sale into the location's rental stock. No solution was found by the Uhaul staff and to say I was shocked is an understatement. If a customer books equipment then that equipment should be put in the vehicle that morning to ensure it's ready and waiting for them. What the heck is Uhaul expecting sets them apart from renting anywhere else? If it's bad service you achieved that. I will not be renting from you again and that's a shame since we book a large number of vehicles for music industry events. I will also be sharing widely on social media my experience and utter disappointment. My partner and I both work in the service industry and I know for a fact it the staff had release two dollies that were purchase stock into you rentals you'd have recouped that $60 cost in rentals 50x's over. In the 2 weeks every location I'd called about those dollies said they hadn't had any in months. Clearly you are understocked for your customer needs. Just not a good service experience at all.

Quick pick up, excellent customer service, truck was as expected and great operating condition. If I had to say one thing, I was scheduled to pick up at 9AM, got there a bit early and wasn’t able to complete my online registration until 9AM. No issues really though. Multi time customer and I’ll be back!

If the trucks come in damaged or not. they should be thoroughly inspected. The representative who assigned the truck to me did not bother doing a proper pre trip inspection of the truck with me. When i got home i realized the the top of the cab cargo area floor was soaked with water and the edges on the bottom area were as well. Turns out i could see the sky from the front 2 corners of the truck because there were decent size holes. I wiped away the water with a towel and boxes were still damaged because of the long drive. I reserved a 20ft truck for a reason because i need the space for my stuff. There only solution was to come in an switch it out for a smaller one... but i need the big truck. Ive rented a couple times and so has my brother and parents. Between us always helping each other move we have rented about 15 times in past 5 to 6 years, this was the worst experience we had. I should have known better to inspect it myself but i figured the expierience is always good and never have issues... but thats with a different location. This was my first and last time for uhaul queensway.

The van I got had bald to no tread tyres. Can’t believe you could not care about maintaining you vehicles which are the reason for your business. I got stuck in snow because of them and it was very risky to drive them. Despite my feedback you have not tried to contact me. This shows how much you care about your customers. I will not recommend uhaul to anyone ever.

The cargo van I rented had Arizona plates and summer tires. I had to move my daughter in a snow storm and I cannot stress enough how inadequate the tires were. I had to be pushed out twice. Everytime you touched the gas, the back of the van went sideways. It got stuck in the snow while returning to the dealer. I parked it and walked away in disgust. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should van be rented in winter conditions with those tires on it. You are inviting disaster!

Not enough staff on deck. Gas gauge was incorrect as was the mileage and rear of cargo van was dirty.

1st Van was dirty, had 1/16th f a tank of gas, passenger side windshield washer not working properly, Brakes went soft twice ..at a stop light. Cigarette lighter unable to charge cell phone. Lost half day with being unable to charge phone while on road and missed coordinating with moving help. had to move to 10 foot truck next day to make up time..which was a pain as unloading space was narrow and better suited for the van size truck originally rented. This u haul Location opened an hour late due to frozen locks. Personnel were pleasant and helpful.

The online booking process was AWFUL. I booked at this location and yet was "confirmed" at a location an hour away. When I complained to a (very surly) customer service rep, she said she'd rebooked it closer, but then I got another confirmation that it was again booked an hour away (and found that the rep had not rebooked it at all). I ended up calling this (the closer) location directly and booking the trailer, as I the online booking / reps over the phone were unable (unwilling?) to help. I spent 2 hours on the phone fixing this and I still had to drive an extra 1/2 hour each way to make it happen... Very poor experience

NEED TO BE MORE CORPORATE FRIENDLY - I run a community newspaper in which we have to rent a cargo van every month to help with our deliveries. And its always the same line up and waste of time to book a truck every month. Your company is not user friendly to corporate and small business customers. I am looking around.

Location had too many areas with signs that stopped you from passing if your car or truck was a certain height, made it frustrating to get around. The trucks were parked too close together so it was impossible to get a full shot of each side for the damage report. I had reserved it under my credit card but someone else had to pick it up for me and they were forced to use their own method of payment. What’s the point of taking the credit card number online if you can’t charge it at the end of the day? I had to transfers funds back and forth, then make my way to a bank and pay them back, very inconvenient.

The holiday season is busy. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist . Stop being cheap and schedule more then one employee. I waited 1.5 hours to bring my truck. I wanted to complain about something you had one attendant working . It’s the holidays . What did you expect at the end of the month. The truck was dirty. Your washrooms are disgusting . I’ll be going to other rental companies from now on. Your rates are way to high.

I booked plastic boxes online and was charged for my order and selected the branch I wanted to collect 12 boxes from and on which day. I got to the etobicoke branch and was told my order did not exist and they only had 8 boxes anyway. Eventually my contract was found and they were able to give me the 8 boxes they had and sent me to a different uhaul branch to collect the remaining 4 boxes. When we got to the second branch, I was told that because the first branch did not transfer the funds to the second, that I would have to pay again for the 4 boxes (that I already paid for online) and then request a refund from uhaul corporate. In addition, all boxes would have to be returned to the branch they were collected from. These plastic boxes were advertised as the most convenient way to move and I had the most inconvenient experience with uhaul I could have imagined. Extremely disappointed: would not recommend.

The person at the front desk looked tired could be a long day for him but could have received the customer more better than the way he treated me. Not sure what is your policy of maintaining the vehile but the vehile that I got was in terrible condition, the brakes were not working properly, the gears were not shifting properly, the equipment was not safe to travel at all. The most important thing is that there was no windshield washer in the vehicle. This is the second time I have been through this trouble, last time I didn't say anything but the same mistake happening multiple times is forcing me to write this review. Not sure if Uhaul is that cheap to not fill it with a windshield washer or it's just a policy of the company but I am really frustrated with the service. Last time I was told to fill up the windshield by myself not sure if this is the behaviour you guys tolerate but this is forcing me to go somewhere else for my moving requirements in future and won't recommend Uhaul to anyone at all. I hope you guys would take some serious steps for maintaining your vehicle from now onwards.

Truck was dirty. Fuel was less than contract stated. I took a photo and showed employee , brought it back with same amount yet they still charged me. I didn’t want insurance but was charged anyway. I am a regular customer but this was a very poor experience.

The staff truly incompetent. Obtaining initial access took very long because staff didn't know how to use their system. Keys were given to anyone who asked, pointless security. Now boycotting U-Haul.
