STARR R.The staff were helpful and doing their best, but there were only two people available to help and it was very busy that day. The website let me reserve a storage unit even though there were none available near me, I didn't find this out until after I paid for the truck rental. The truck was dirty and unmaintained, with a chip in the windshield and a window that was extremely difficult to roll up and down.

Really helpful folks behind counter - Kept a great customer focused attitude even though adversity of Poor WiFi or connection with credit card services. Counter folks multi-tasked well and stayed positive! Great job!!
Lisa Z.In the morning, the employees had a hard time because my truck and auto transport were on separate reservations after the people in Santa Rosa helped me find one and move it to the eureka location. I guess they needed to pair them together so I don't get charged the trailer rate? Then later on, the employees at the Eureka location wasn't able to remove the auto transport trailer paired to the truck in a reservation after I found out my tires and axle width combines were too wide to fit the trailer. Leading me to not only drive with a trailer 200+ miles, but with the extra charge. They blamed the system, if that's true, please make the system more flexible to handle this situation. I doubt something like this would've happened back in the day before using proprietary software, and using simpler programs or pencil, paper, and a phone call even. Overall the experience was unnecessarily stressful and irritating on top of my already painful move.

Please consider finding a new role for this man or firing him. I really don't ever want to go back to the Jacobs store location again.

Marlene A.You need to improve your website. Firstly, it suggested the return location in Phillipsville, CA, which is permanently closed. Secondly, it counted mileage using the route, which is impassible in winter (snow is not removed on portion of CA-36; besides to suggest this road even in summer would be very bad for your equipment - this road is not for heavy trucks towing the cars.) Google knows that and does not even show CA-36 as an option in winter. U-Haul should also know.

I understand that unexpected difficulties arise, but I would like to be informed when things are taking longer than anticipated. Also the building was very cold (felt 50F). Cherie A.When we arrive both gentleman were very helpful. The person installing our tow package was put I'll and we had to reschedule. Unfortunately this would delay our plan. We decided to leave our vehicle anyway and Dale was able to install for us. We left as planned and we were happy Dale was able to make it happen. U-Haul service is awesome!

Juan Ramon V.So - first I dropped off my car to get an hitch they said they had and then found out that they didn't have the right hitch. So I picked up my car and they said they'd call me when they got it. They didn't call. So I followed up, found out they had the right hitch and then dropped off the car again. They installed the hitch and the components to hook up electric. When we tried to connect electric it didn't work - so we checked the wiring and they'd clearly connected to the faulty (water damaged) old wiring on the vehicle. The water damage wasn't their fault, but they didn't say anything and it was very clearly corroded and damaged when we looked. We only knew about the damage later. Luckily we were able to fix it all (a few hours of labor). It wasn't really worth it to take it all back to Uhaul because… whatever.

Also, it leaked during the rainstorm and was wet inside, we had to pack and leave so returning it 40 minutes away wasn't an option. It needed to be a retired unit. But the gentleman who helped us was awesome, knowledgeable, and dressed nice, like the new uniforms, very professional.

Arlene L.Max was a gross example of the performance of a Customer Service Represented. The only thing he represented was failure and disappointment. When asked to add the driver of the vehicle as an authorized driver to tow, Max did not add the driver. When asked for a furniture dolly, no dolly was presented. Armen, the other worker at the time of pickup, however, was based and redpilled, goated with the sauce. He mumbled profanities as he looked with a thousand-yard stare at the blank computer screen reflecting back into his eyes, absent-minded to the mistake occuring during my rental. Max also called me a 'bobo', whatever that means. Ian L.Clean out the darn truck!!! It was nasty and filthy on the inside which as a grandmother, I didn't appreciate at all. The cupholders were filled with thick, sticky ickiness then covered with dirt, we didn't dare put our coffee cups into them, and the entire cab was filled with a layer of dirt. It smelled like an old bar and cigarettes with drinks and some kind of drinks had been dropped all over the floor. I had to purchase cleaner after the movers packed our storage unit and we left our hotel room to clean the cup holders and seats, before we made the one-way trip home. When we started to drive south in the morning, the inside of the windshield was streaked and dirty making it difficult to see. Just wish I'd seen it before we'd left so I could have washed it. Apparently, Uhaul is DIY for grandparents these days! This grandma is never going to rent another nasty truck again, but there aren't any other truck rentals in Eureka, so I had no choice!! Shame on Uhaul!!!

When I called about it, I had to go through multiple people before I got to one that could help, if you want to call it help. Don't tell people their uboxes will be ready for pickup at 7am when they won't be ready until 10am. Be more communicative within your company, so I don't have to do the footwork for you.

I will not be using UHaul again. This was my 3rd rental in less than a month. Apparently renting equipment in acclimate weather will cost extra

Your company will keep my over $100 and rent the unit out tomorrow and take someone else's money. Meanwhile I had a moving crew at $150 hour sitting idle. The other storage company informed me that what happened to me happening all the time with Uhaul clients. Generally, I have used Uhaul many times and am great full for their produce but this is an issue I hope they will address.

We then spent the next hour plus on the phone with U-Haul reserving another storage that was supposed to just be included with my one way rental. I added another storage unit (so that we had two) and then when I got off the phone they told me we only had the one that took me an hour to get from my original reservation that disappeared. Called back again (since Matt wouldn't help) and they said there was in fact only one storage reservation and they didn't have anymore available. Even though I reserved the two and they took my credit card and information for both units. What a hassle. It took so long that we had to extend the truck rental return a couple hours.

When I objected they checked more carefully and saw it still needed to be cleaned but the cleaning was minimal and I insisted we would accept it as is. It was the very last unit and I desperately needed it. Thank you, Uhaul. I had a great experience in the long run.

She was so friendly and helpful . The facility did not have the 10x15 unit I reserved and at this time, there wasnt even a 10x10 , so a 20' truck packed to the brim couldnt be unloaded. Sol was helping me in the office and remembered someone had moved out without checking out. He contacted the people regarding the unit and success! He went above and beyond customer service. Everyone was very helpful, friendly and more than willing to help with my situation. I've used Uhaul before and will use it again. Merci

The card lock that they have instead of punching in numbers is awesome. And the storage units look almost new I even had one with a freshly painted floor
