Upon returning our rental truck we were charged the $90 gas fee, although the truck was returned with the correct amount of gas.The people working at the location were not helpful although it was their mistake They directed us to a service number and insisted we resolve the issue ourselves. Once connected to the actual U-Haul help line, the issue was resolved quickly. But I would not suggest this specific location as it seemed the employees were inexperienced and couldn't even resolve an issue that they caused themselves.Tyler C.

Worst U-Haul I've ever experienced. Rental took too long, truck all banged up, had trouble with online return, message said I would be contacted. Obviously the previous rental contract was just breezed right through, as the photos on my CHECK OUT, were showing the trailer was fine, but I had to upload NEW photos to show it was indeed damaged, it was also dirty, and missing safety chains. The initial was an ok experience. the truck was full of dog hair and dust which wouldn't usually bother me, I was really miffed when I returned the truck I put $90 in the tank to put it back to its original mark, it was literally on the mark and they charged me the $30 for not filling it all the way.. So absolutely not worth over $600 for a short move.. Overall not worth paying do much for such a short move... should have borrowed a trailer from a friend!!!DAWN C.

why is a 1 way rental 10 times the cost of returning the trailer to where i rented it from? this is the dumbest thing ever and will be seeking out alternative rentals in the future. was also given a trailer with 2 bald tires with the agent knowing i am driving across country and the call center offered roadside assistance if i wanted to pull over and wait up to 90 minutes while they send someone to replace tires, returning the unsafe trailer to the nearest location was never offered and would be by far the best option.Charles S.

They marked my truck down as having a full tank and it appeared that it was full when I looked at the gauge but I only drove 17 miles and had to stop the gas nozzle at 7 gallons so gallons so clearly they worked me on the gas thank God I was there to stop pumping at 7 Gallons and didnt let it Keep pumping. The service representatives told me that that was my fault that I was only supposed to refill it to where it was at when I got it, The my contract said full stupid stupid there's no way I used 7 gallons driving 17 miles. Needless to say they told me there's no management on Saturdays and and I was at a lossWilliam H.

I rented a 9 foot van recommended for studio or one bedroom. It was more than enough room for the move..It was a very new vehicle and performed great. It also got good mileage that saved money on a 1000 plus mile move. Employees were great. Pick up and drop off were fast and easy. I would recommend u-haul.Robert P.

They did a great job checking the truck back in. It was quick and efficient for them to check the mileage, gas level, and any for any damage that might have occured during the rental. The fact that any previous damage had already been marked with little stickers, maqde it so much more efficient to review and compare.Michael B.

The pure fact U-Haul has the audacity to charge what I paid coming out of California is an absolute disgrace. I will not use them again and will find another way to move my household goods next time. Literally highway robbery is what I would call the pricing coming out of California, which is typical...it's California.RYAN H.

Check in time was 8:00am and I arrived on time. Paperwork and hookup took us to 8:30. The online reservation stated this was to be a 6 hour rental yet I was told return time was to be 2:00, or 5 1/2 hours. When I asked about this I was told more time would be an extra charge. I asked to speak to the manager and waited. He never came out to talk and I was told to mention his name if I returned the trailer after 2:00. I was not reassured. Rental should have started when I completed my check-in. What the heck kind of practice business is this? Also, the printer was not working so I never received a paper copy verifying my start and end times. The price for the rental (5x8 trailer) was reasonable. The clerk was friendly and helpful.Daniel E.
Only 1 person to check in returns and pickups. I tried but I waited 25 minutes before he could help me. Also I was told if I didn't have the right level of gas on returning truck I would pay $7.xx per gallon for gas to bring to right level. I was also charged a $30 fee also!Catherine L.

I called and and made my reservation with the employee Terrell. He helped me out with finding the right size trailer that fitted my needs. Then Ethan called me back to confirm my date and time. Both of them were VERY helpful in helping me decide which trailer I needed. When I came into U-Haul to get my equipment Terrell Williams Jr and Ian helped me out. They both were very polite. Appreciate there professionalism. Would recommend this U-Haul to anyoneTerrell W.

Your self-check in is awful!!! It took over an hour to load all the photos I had already loaded onto the site previously, it asked for ONE additional form of ID and after loading my passport, it demanded another. Poor representation of customer service. I originally rented a trailer for a one way trip. The sales associate failed to advise me that the price wasn't as advertised and that it was more than double the cost for a one-way use. Customer service advised me that they wouldn't refund my money besides the fact that I never signed any contract stating I agreed to pay the higher cost. Be honest with the way you calculate your rates, ie., charging insurance on days truck was not driven. I was quoted 3 different prices by 3 different people, and, then for the final calculation a 4th person changed the original quote-I was told $20. for 6 pads, then it was changed to $30.( $5. per day).Qiu Q.

After a long and arduous car transport, I was quite frazzled and at my wits end. At the end of 2 days on the road I just wanted to unload and return the trailer asap so I could finally rest . Unfortunately, I arrived at the Eureka yard a few minutes too late - they had just closed and I did not looked forward to dragging the trailer back home to return it another day. I was lucky that day when Ian realized the situation and cheerfully came from behind the locked doors to take in my trailer. Ian was very pleasant and helpful and may not have even realized how much I appreciated the gesture. But big thanks and kudos to Ian for going above and beyond to make my day and big my transporting ordeal to an successful ending.Reuben M.
I normally like this location because of the large yard and selection, but last few times, the place has been sort of a clusterfuck of disorganization. Pick up attendants were friendly. The truck had a "low tire" message wen I picked up truck. When I reported this, they said they knew about it and it would be fine. When setting up my reservation online AND through customer service, I specifically asked for a clean rental AND, that the truck be as new as possible. Upon arriving, the rep that I spoke with went outside with me & I showed him the truck I would like to rent as there were several newer 15' box trucks parked in a row. I went back inside the store & he went to the computer & confirmed the reservation I made, went over the contract, then we went outside. I waited for him to pull the truck to the front of the store, but when he pulled up it was an older rental that was dirty on the outside & he in fact had to sweep the inside of the box area out. I immediately asked him why he had not pulled out the truck I wanted to rent, & he replied that the computer only showed the older one as being available. I then asked why? He then replied that the other trucks were reserved only for 'Long-hauls' & not local & were scheduled to go out later that day & the older dirty rental he pulled up stays at the hub for local hauls. I then said you're kidding right? And I pointed out that the older rental that supposedly stays local, has an out of State license plate, & all the other rentals have 'Lowest Cost' signs in the window, AND no license plates in the front, how can they not be available to rent even locally? He then replied that except for one that needs servicing, the rest are reserved for long-hauls later that day and that the 'computer/system. won't let him rent me one of the newer trucks. I then asked why he didn't mention any of this when we were going over the contract! Then there was the 'uploading' of pictures to U-Haul's website that was an absolute hassle & waste of my time. After taking pictures of all the pre-existing exterior damage to the older dirty truck, scrapes, dents etc....& the current mileage & gas level, all of which he said was the customers responsibility at time of rental, I tried to upload the pictures to the U-Haul website & couldn't, even after trying to connect to that stores Wi-Fi! An Hour & a half later, the rep ended up doing it on the stores phone even saying he has trouble connecting to the stores Wi-Fi, then said it's all taken care of & not to worry about anything. I then asked why he didn't do that earlier as I was forced to call the helpers her were waiting for me & overall caused an additional expense, & he didn't give a reasonable answer only to say that the customer having to 'upload' pictures was due to the Pandemic, & I pointed out that restrictions have been lifted to a certain extent as you are not wearing a mask even though I was, so why not go back to doing a physical 'walk around' with the customer noting any pre-existing damage to the rental, then both initial etc....& it's taken care of right there so as to not cause the inconveniences as has happened. So, I was not only forced to take an older dirty rental truck, but also inconvenienced & incurred extra expenses due to the lengthy delay. Additionally, I would also like to note that I took photos of the row of newer rental trucks that I was told were going out later that day prior to my leaving, & low & behold the next day before returning the rental truck, I drove in our car to that location early around 7:30 AM & there parked in the same places as the day before were every newer 15' rental truck except what appeared to be one missing. So, the bottom line is I was told a falsity by a rep that told me he had only been working there approx. 4 months, which by definition is fraud! I am absolutely appalled by what transpired considering in the past few years I have rented from that location several times and their inventory has grown exponentially, and I had no major issues as had happened with the recent rental. Lastly, I would recommend that U-Haul do away with forcing the customer to have to up-load pictures of the rental vehicles as it's more of a hassle than a convenience....Der L.

The main reason I'm giving a one star is because when I walked in there were three employees working behind the counter. Two of them were with a customer and I have no idea what the other guy was doing because he never acknowledged me that I was still breathing! When we got there, the person who works there (Matt) told us we had no reservation for storage. He was very rude and did not offer to help us at all. We then spent the next hour plus on the phone with U-Haul reserving another storage that was supposed to just be included with my one way rental. I added another storage unit (so that we had two) and then when I got off the phone they told me we only had the one that took me an hour to get from my original reservation that disappeared. Called back again (since Matt wouldn't help) and they said there was in fact only one storage reservation and they didn't have anymore available. Even though I reserved the two and they took my credit card and information for both units. What a hassle. Very happy with the unit, but even with a reservation, was told there was no unit available. They kept looking and found the one I had reserved was not prepared for a new tenant, but thankfully rented it to me anyway since urgently needed. I was very unhappy with the online closure process. Only allowed one pic to be uploaded while requesting 3 and still sent me an email reminder of payment due after I had sent in the closure info....you could use some IT updates! My only reason for 4 star is that I was told twice from two different agents when I picked up the truck and returned it that the reservation I had for a storage unit was not available. When I objected they checked more carefully and saw it still needed to be cleaned but the cleaning was minimal and I insisted we would accept it as is. My move from Colorado to California under rather stressful circumstances was rather difficult but when I came to check in my trailer so that I could get the truck unloaded, I was met by Shannon. She was so friendly and helpful . The facility did not have the 10x15 unit I reserved and at this time, there wasnt even a 10x10 , so a 20' truck packed to the brim couldnt be unloaded. Sol was helping me in the office and remembered someone had moved out without checking out. He contacted the people regarding the unit and success! He went above and beyond customer service.
