Rented 6x12 trailer with ramp. The measurement is misleading. The ramp and the opening in the rear is no more then 4,5 feet. That detail should be available for this trailer. I was not able to use it.

My only complaint is that I reserved a trailer at one location and the person who had the trailer before me decided to drop it off at a different location. I called Uhaul to see if they could transfer the trailer to another location I was informed they don't then I was informed they don't offer discounts or money back for the inconvenience for me going out of my way to pick up the trailer.

Front desk staff appeared to be new and somewhat lost, but trying really hard to help their clients. My experience was fairly straightforward with a hitch installation. There was a discrepancy between the estimate and final charges, of which, the owner/president personally contacted me to rectify the situation, as well as, being appreciative of my insight into this issue, as he stated he is always looking for input from clients, so their experience is made better for themselves and/or future clients.

There's absolutely nothing that I can say of hand that can improve my experience other than the wait time. Other than that the staff were respectful and willing to help. My Uhaul Staff Member Dominic was very helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Him being a young man surprised me at how attentive he was. I'd recommend this location to all of friends.

The two gentlemen at the desk were great. Nice guys. But overall the process was slooooooowww as hell. I rented a van to get a chair I brought from BJ's and take it back home. The BJ's is 3 minutes from the u haul and I live 10 minutes from the BJ's. The process of picking up and dipping the van off took an hour and half by it self!!!! I will never come back to this location. The staff was nice and helpful. And could tell they were just doing thier job. But the process is waaaaayyy too long!! And if there are a lot of reservations Saturday morning there should have been more staff. The whole point of renting this van was to make a quick pick up and drop off. It should not have taken me more than a hour to do everything, get the Uhaul, pick up the furniture and drop it my house and bring the truck back. But majority of the time was spent standing in line at uhual!!! Never again!!

More simple and efficient means to return truck. App failed and takes too long to navigate…Also, I think the truck was a bit bouncy and steering needed calibrating/more firm and stable. check the maintenance on the suspension system.

A young male Worker was not willing to help the person checking me out stating it was not his ticket (or something of that sort). The young man that was helping me, although very nice and respectful, apparently did not know how to check equipment for safety because the trailer light extension he connected on to my car and to the car trailer, had bare wires all over it. I was pulled over on the Long Island Expressway the next morning at 4:30 AM. Apparently the bare wires grounded somewhere and burnt out a fuse on my vehicle. The officer was not very kind to me when I explained that the lights all worked when I left my home and didn't know what had happened. He kept me there for over an hour until I located the trailer light port on my iPad, then was finally able to hijack a fuse from my charging ports and use it on the trailer light fuse port. When I tried to get some sort of credit or retribution for the headache caused to me and my family, I got exactly No Where with everyone I spoke with at U-Haul. But when I was 2 hours late returning the trailer due to construction and accidents on the highway, they were quick to tell me I would be charged an extra amount. Not happy with U-Haul at this moment. All I asked for was give me a days rental on my next rental, but I was told a resounding “No, we can't do that.”

I was very upset that when I arrived to pick up my trailer rental they could not give me the trailer due to them not having plugs for the electrical connection. I have a standard 4 prong and I had to go buy one from Homedepot. The rep stated to me sorry but they always steal them. That's totally unprofessional and un acceptable.

When I went to return the trailer there 12-15 cars of people hanging out in your parking lot. I was forced to back the trailer out and go thru the back of the lot. I felt uneasy while dropping the trailer hoping there would be no confrontation in view of all nonsense that goes on these days.

The wait was too long even after reservation. When the truck was hired from a different location of U-Haul, waiting in line for a looooong time was difficult. Calling over the phone is so tiring that one may have to listen to music anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes, listening to the same advertisement stuff time and time again !!! Once it started moving, it was perfectly OK.

I would recommend but suggest extreme caution. The truck had several areas of damage, and the attendant was unwilling to physically review in the yard. Upon return I was charged a fee for damages fortunately I had video recorded and taken photos - the issue was later resolved by an outstanding customer service representative: Jayla

Are you serious? I reserved a 17 foot truck a week in advance and when I went to pick it up at the scheduled time, they didn't have it. They also weren't able to give me a 20 foot truck or a 15 foot truck. No other locations nearby had any trucks either. I was told to call 800 go uhaul. After waiting 30 minutes for a call back, the person that answered said they couldn't help (after I only said that the truck I reserved wasn't available) and then quickly put me on hold to transfer me to "scheduling ". After being on hold for another 20 minutes I received a message saying that no one was available and that I should call back at a later time and then it disconnected the call. You have 1 job Uhaul. Just one primary job. That job is to provide trucks to people that reserve them so that they (the U part) can Haul stuff! You failed miserably. Being in a bind because I had to move that day, the employee at the location said that "he isn't supposed to do this but..." he let me rent a 10 foot truck. I now had to make 2 trips and make due with using the pickup trucks of 3 friends. You should be ashamed and embarrassed.

I arrived at my pick-up location at 11AM (my scheduled pick-up time). There were 6 people ahead of me on line, and one employee working the counter. I anticipated approximately a half hour delay, but I experienced a two and a half hour delay. I did not leave the building until 1:30PM. A second worker did show up eventually, but he focused mainly on returns and sales (boxes, etc.). It got to a point where the two employees started taking people off of the line out of order based on the returns that were being processed, so while I was 7th in line upon arrival, I would estimate there were 10 rentals taken before me. I understand there being a line, and I even understand there being a slight delay and deviation from the pick-up time. What is unacceptable is the interactions I heard around me: a reservation doesn't guarantee you a truck, the trucks for other people weren't there, so they were sent to another location, which also might not have a truck for them. I shouldn't have to be grateful that my van was available for me; a reservation is a reservation, but as the employees told other customers, in U-Haul, a reservation is more of a request. It is unacceptable that I had to wait two and a half hours for a van I stared at from the window the entire time I was at U-Haul. Movers were waiting for me, family and friends dedicated their Saturday morning to me, but wound up having to monopolize their entire day around me standing in line, waiting for a van that was maybe 20ft away from me. The van itself was perfect; it was exactly what I needed, it was clean, functional, spacious, and served its purpose. My experience obtaining the van was disappointing to say the absolute least. I want to stress that this is not a problem with the two store employees themselves- this was NOT their fault. They were doing the best they could with the very limited resources they had. This goes above their heads, to whoever scheduled only 2 employees for a Saturday morning. This goes to whoever allowed there to be so many pick-up reservations at the same time, when they should have been limited to the amount that the employees in-store would be able to handle within a reasonable time. Again, a slight deviation from the scheduled pick-up time is understandable, but two and a half hours (for context, that is half of my requested rental time) is ridiculous. Take care of your employees, give them a reasonable amount of work and better working conditions (there was no air conditioning in the 90° heat, and the employees repeatedly sited that the computers were going down as the cause of the delay), schedule appropriately for rush days and times, and take care to limit reservations when the staff doesn't match up to the volume of requests. I understand that some trucks don't get returned and therefore there is no truck available for the recipient, but have a procedure in place to notify them before they arrive for their reservation and have to wait two and a half hours in line, only to be sent to an alternate location. As customers, we revolve our moving day around when we can get our truck. With this experience, I would recommend literally any other moving service before I would ever recommend U-Haul for any moving needs.

The employee I worked with this morning (July 30 at about 8:30am) was VERY nice, accommodating and apologetic. However, this uhaul location's overall organization and operations were horrible. Trucks were parked all over the lot waiting to be cleaned from the day before and the employees couldn't find the keys to the vehicle. The employee apologized many times and said the crew who worked the day before didn't check in the vehicles, did not clean them, and the boss did not show up for work this morning, leaving them short staffed with extra work to catch up on during a very busy moving weekend. There was essentially an angry mob of people waiting in line who began harassing me when I followed the directions on the mobile check in to “skip the line”. Again, the employee who was working this morning was very helpful and apologetic, but he had to “return” the truck from the previous renter before I was able to complete my mobile check-in. This entire process took about 45 minutes because he was also trying to help the angry people, search for the vehicle's key, and wait for the WiFi to load on his device while completing the return. This was not the employee's fault, but the manager's. The worker was very upset his boss didn't show up for work and left them short handed on such a busy day. The management at this location is concerning and because of their lack of ability to manage the store or even show up for work, I would not recommend it.

I waited in line for 20 minutes to get my rental that was reserved on line. The truck interior was dirty with old water bottles on floor under seat. Upon return the check in driveway was backed up with over a dozen trucks/cans blocking the entrance.

You need to a sure that a unit is there for customer . I reserved trailer 6x12 with ramp day later not available at location so I ask and they had one with no ramp . Day of pick up no trailer had to settle for a 5x8 open which turns out to be out of service for wiring . So after three trailers finally got out of there with a 5x8 Inclosed not a good experience

I wasn't able to catch their name but the employee working when we arrived was extremely helpful. As we had never rented before they took the time to walk us through how to get in, where to park and answered any questions that we had. While the facility itself was in good condition, our unit has 2 large holes. 1 in the side of the wall and 1 in the ceiling. For the price we pay per month I would've liked a unit that was fully secure without holes.

It was a terrible experience, the storage room was not available as confirm. There was a lock on the storage room it took two hours before someone was able to drill into the lock so could move my belongs in. This storage room was confirmed three weeks before I showed up 2/11/22. Extremely unprofessional staff. Non caring attitude. One staff member smelled like he had been smoking weed. Over all terrible experience

The staff at the Farmingdale location were very courteous and professional. They answered all the questions i had and was able to give great suggestions during my move. Moving can be very stressful and the team there went above and beyond to accommodate me. I rented a truck to move my belongings from my storage unit. The truck was ready as soon as i got there, checking out was a breeze. It was a pleasure to work with this manager and his team.

It's extremely hot inside so these aren't temp regulated units. Plus the gate can't stay open so if you're moving a lot in and out, that will be annoying as you have to keep swiping your access card. This particular location doesn't do a great job parking the trucks that come in so there is always a truck blocking the entrance.

Great customer service in farmingdale, but when I arrive in plano to drop off a trailer for uhaul the female staff was very rude and the first thing to said was delivery hours are over and looked like she just wanted to leave I arrive at the plano tx facility at 430pm and they closed closed at 500pm I was dropping off a trailer for uhaul that I picked up in the bronx new york. Very bad experience at the plano facility

The manager disappeared and you had one girl who was inexperienced to help quite a few people. She said she couldn't give us a key to use the storage but when she finished with the line of people she would open it for us. Essentially we rented a storage area but couldn,t use it. Everone was complaining and talking about never using you again. I was furious . Where was MR Ryan Nedd. So many other problems occurred. I was furious and exhausted I want you to know I never complain because of many reasons. Worried about the potential damage it could cause Maybe I don't understand what was really happenning. But this experience from the moment I decided to use "U Haul" was so outrageous .
