The staff is professional, helpful and very kind. The ladies that check you in and out on the morning shift are AMAZING!!! I have rented quite Often this last couple of months and I am impressed with the professionalism shown by all The individuals I have dealt with. Thank you! Highly recommend.

KENNETH MThe customer service experience was disappointing. The first representative I interacted with had a disinterested attitude and failed to provide any useful information. Because I have rented from U-Haul before, I knew the right questions to ask, but their responses were unhelpful and delivered in a flat, dismissive tone. The second representative seemed eager to deny any request without making any effort to assist or offer alternatives. Overall, the people skills were lacking, and these representatives do not reflect well on U-Haul. If this continues, it could drive customers away.

David FBlack ladies working desks were not professional and speaking very poor blank slang english. Horrible to understand and were more interested in chatting than taking care of their customers.
Kelly CAs an autistic person, consistency is really important to me. I have found the staff is consistently warm and friendly and the place is very clean, no matter what time of day or night. I feel safe coming in whatever time of day or night, running in grabbing a few things and going back to my office without any trouble. It has truly made my life a lot less stressful. They have not only met my bare minimum expectations(a safe place to store my stuff), but exceeded them in every possible way.

SCOTT BI went two days before to verify that my car could tow a 9x12 trailer, as the email recommended. The clerk assured me I could. Then when I went to pick up the trailer, they told me no way could I tow that with my car. Then on top of it they didn't have a smaller trailer for me. On top of that I had moving help scheduled for then to load. It screwed me all up! Then they wouldn't even give me an extra day as I was behind and a hurricane was bearing down on us ! So mad!
Peter CNothing! The staff were great from start to finish . Andrew was extremely helpful. I had never driven this type of truck and he walked me through all my questions . I also got a newer truck and I was extremely pleased due to the distance from Wilton Manors to Toronto Ontario Canada. Merci!

KAMIL MI originally Reserved a Cargo Van from the Valero location at Oakland Park Blvd and 27th ave. I tried like 5 days prior and their system did not work and told to come back like on the 21st for the reservation on the 24th of Sept. I live across the street from this location. The van was there the night before and I was so happy that there wasn't going to be an issue. I showed up at exactly at 1100am as per my reservation and no van. I called reservations and had to pick up a van in Wilton manors location 3 miles away. There was no parking there and had to park in the Publix parking lot 2 blocks down. I only needed car for 4 hours and When I called customer service before I arrived there that she would give me a $50 credit for my rental because of the inconvenience. I got to the Wilton location and they had no documented $50 discount on that reservation. Well they said that when I returned it it would have posted. Well it wasn't and I called customer service again and spoke to Ruby in Houston. She said that the credit would be posted in 5 business day. She sent me a screen shot of the credit and also I tried to return 4 boxes mid size and the system was down and I couldn't return them like 2 weeks earlier. I was shipping my Partner off to Brazil with his Dog that we had to do everything perfect or the dog wasn't going. Including being at airport 4 hours early. I had to drive at least 6 extra miles and spend more than hour getting this van to take a live animal to the Miami airport to ship to Brazil. All the agents at this location were brand new and didn't know a thing about working the computer. It was training day! Than when I finally got the keys. They didn't tell me where the van was. I went to the one that was out parked on the street but wasn't it. We had to waste more time going back in to finally be told that the van was behind the building. People who are moving and have rules and deadlines to achieve don't need to be givin the run around when it comes to getting the car they reserved well way in advance.
TODD FAll of the people that worked there were on personal calls while helping us and were rude. One guy even put his finger up to shut us up when we came back with a question until he finished his personal calls. Lots of curse words and seemed very irritated that we wanted to be helped. I would NEVER EVER COME BACK OR RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION TO ANYONE. In fact, I'm tell everyone how bad it was.
BRENDAN NBest U-Haul location experience ever. Quick, courteous, efficient and friendly. I've moved at least 25 times for work in the last 20 years and by far the best haul I've ever used throughout the country. Thanking the staff for their amazing help.
EDWARD DThe staff were very good. I said no on this. question is becase although the overall geographic location is close by, but pulling out of the lot is scary and dangerous to exit the parking lot, with a car, and especially with U-Hall truck! The exit is on a curve of a fast moving street, such that the driver cannot see approaching traffic. A driver must just hit the gas and hope no cars are coming around the curve. Today, I was again scared to exit the lot. I will not return to rent from this location anymore.
MAIO PEasy to find location from the public street however it would be helpful if there was signage at the main entrance for truck return/drop off (similar to rental car returns at airports). There is a sign but it is not readily apparent from the entrance. It is also not really clear the process to return the truck unless you have downloaded the U-Haul app and follow the prompts. I would suggest a staff member check in returns - (Again like they do rental cars at airports). The facility appeared vacant and I had to search around for a staff member to help - when I walked in the main building to return the vehicle I had to search for a staff member - and when I found him, he didn't welcome me nor say how can I help you - he just sat there looking at his phone. Customer service lacks.

SCOTT AI did not want the amount to be charged to my credit card and I explained that to them when I picked up the trailer when I got back, they charged my credit card and the guy unhooking. The trailer was very rude.

ROBERT GCustomer service was lacking, the girl that check me in was distant and uninformative. She directed me to pull around to get my trailer. I watched the signs and waited a while before I got out of my truck and waved a person down that then proceeded to tell me I needed to go check in. I told him I already checked in and then he looked at his phone.

HELENA GEmployees are just hanging out. No sense of urgency. Tell you no vans available but when pointed to 3 in lot and made them go out to look suddenly there were vans available. Reservations made on line but told that means nothing... that you have to call. What's the point? This happened 2 weekends in a row. Employees may be 20 to 25 years old. .. totally clueless. Upin rerurn could not check out with app aslthough app says yoy can. It was raining but the kids would not come out to check truck and take keys because they "didnt want to get wet" what??! But i should?? Never again. Manager needs to do some serious training. Will rent from Home Depot next time.

DANIEL SThe lovely lady in the front was very helpful. Wayne however, was very unprofessional. He was talking to her and over her while dealing with a customer and with McDonald's food all over the front-end counter. Eating and handling food while dealing with customers is the worst form of customer service. Talking over fellow co-workers while dealing with customers is also rude customer service. They all need to tighten up their customer service skills. It's not a party, it's your job. Eat your lunch in peace and on your lunch hour. Stop talking to colleagues while they are dealing with customers (unless you are helping them) and get some manners when you are at your work place, please. Also, stay off your personal cell phone while working. I heard many personal calls going on while clients were in the room as well. Professional-professional-professional. Thank you. Rodger PI had no problems and the young gentleman "J" was a great help.

EDDY PMy interaction with Wilton Manors UhauI was very smooth and they definitely had plenty of equipment! However, I originally made a reservation for Friday August 23 @ 1:30pm with the Broward Boulevard location. I saw they had 2 of the 10ft trucks that I reserved on the lot, but for some reason I couldn't get any of those trucks. Another woman behind the counter says that someone is picking up the 1of them at 3pm, but I'm there at 1:30.. it wasn't clear to me why I couldn't drive from the Broward Boulevard location. I've already mapped out my mileage based on this location, but I was rerouted to Wilton Manors location which added 10 extra miles round trip that I now have to pay for. Uhaul should waive the mileage when this happens.. why should I pay for extra mileage because my intended location doesn't have enough equipment?
JOEL JGot ripped off with gas (gauge was not correct) miles were off too, said I drove 36m when i did not go over 6m. Im sure the truck was used by staff and the extra miles and gas charged to next customer. I was told to take a picture of odometer, who does that?

Not safe to be trying to load and unload things from storage units in the dark, particularly at this property where there are homeless people living under the bridge next to the property and some of them have been sleeping in the unlocked back of U-Haul trucks at night.

I can understand trying to save electricity at night but there should at least be sensor lights or a dial where one can turn on outside lights so a person doesn't have to try to load or unload their storage unit outside in the dark. There are homeless people living in this area and a group of them lives under the bridge next to the parking lot at U-Haul. They wander the property at night and it's not safe to be there with no lights on.

In this latest episode, I had reserved a truck weeks ago for my scheduled move . I flew in from Tampa to pick up the truck was told there are no trucks available only when was in Fort Lauderdale. I got a truck 24⁵for hours later. This cost me hundreds of dollars as a result and., and I did not even get an apology. They said 'we are very busy'

I found my storage really dirty with lots black mulch debris and no AC climate room as I asked! So I didn't have choice, because there wasn't other storage available! I swept all the storage and left my things there . Hope I won't get mold on my things!

To be short, a problem in the system resulted in about 18 taps, insertions, and swipes of two separate pay cards along with some failed manual input attempts. I was left emotional after 45 mins of that torture, a trip to the atm, and a friendly 10-min grace window to pay after normal store hours. I'm glad I didn't have to change locations. Also glad I didn't blow up. Jareth, please be a bit more sensitive to customers feelings and stop putting so much emphasis on the possibility of FRAUUUDULENT suspicions at my bank. Thanks team!

Our unit has stair-only access, which wouldn't have deterred me, but I could see that being an issue for others. I don't remember that being stated in the description. We did have difficulty finding our unit. I did not see the link for the facility map that was in an email until after we went to the facility. We were driving around and couldn't find the right building, a directional sign, or map. We eventually went into the office, where the only associate was working with another customer. We waited for a few minutes, but eventually a small paper map on an empty associates desk, from which we were able to find our unit. I would recommend some signage to at least direct cars toward the right access doors for the different alphabetic regions. The "air conditioned" unit was very hot. After loading our unit we went back the the office and told the associate who said they knew and that it was going to be fixed soon. We went back today (two weeks later) and the AC unit was running, but it was still above 85° On the wall mounted thermometer. Not the end of the world, but worth noting, the door stop on the access door to our section is broken. One final note, our unit had a rat trap in the corner. On one hand, I appreciate pest control, but on the other, it was concerning.
