The location I have storage at and rent all my vehicles at seems to be being shortchanged when it comes to pickup trucks and cargo vans. At 3 $a gallon for gas, I rent the pickup trucks and cargo vans because they use less gas if there isn't one available, I don't rent. Also, U-Haul needs a Rewards Program for it's regular customers.RICHARD C.

This location used to have more cargo vans but it's not the case anymore. U-Haul is probably losing customers who want cargo vans instead of larger trucks because it costs more to fuel the trucks than the vans. Also, I have been a customer renting at least 20 vehicles per year for over 10 years, along with storage units and while I'm always told I'm appreciated on a local level by the manager at this location, the corporate level doesn't recognize repeat customers by having a rewards program for repeat vehicle renters and I've never received a thank you from the corporate level for all the money I've spent at this location making me the best customer U-Haul has at this location. Van was dirty. I ordered furniture dolly and they didn't place in van had to come back she would not give me credit for the 8miles I had to return to get the dolly. The miles were 64 starting and not 63 still got charged. Disgusted!DONNA P.

This was my second experience with this location. The pickup was perfect, took only 15 minutes. The drop off was a bit slower due to the number of customers at the time and the fact I had to go inside to find someone to receive my return. This location needs more cargo vans as they are often out of them, along with the next size up, which is the 10 foot truck. Most people don't want to drive around a big truck paying 3 $a gallon for gas when they can use a small vehicle from a competitor. Also, I've been a loyal customer renting storage and trucks for over 10 years but the U-Haul corporation doesn't seem to appreciate my loyalty since it has no frequent renters plan to reward us for using U-Haul so often.RICHARD C.

While the location and local staff were excellent, the online check-in truck share process was beyond awful. I proactively checked-in ahead of time to make sure the information was entered in the system when picking up the rental vehicle. The online experience when picking up the rental vehicle was full of glitches, photo uploads didn't work, the only remedy was downloading the app. Once the app was uploading photos, to my surprise I was required to be verified, being asked for secondary proof such as passport or utility bill. This would have been no problem if I was not in the middle of a parking lot at u-haul location where I had none of secondary documentation on hand. The verification process should happen before picking up the vehicle!! I work with consumer online products, the u-haul truck share needs some serious work to be on par with p2p competitors. We drove a total of 3 miles. I put 5 $in gas in. When I got the e-invoice I was charged an extra 18 $for gas. This is ridiculous. 5 $actually brought the level higher than when I got the truck. It was 3 miles!JASON K.

The Florida location did not have the U-Boxes available for timely delivery. The Florida location did not have anyone who could operate a forklift to load the boxes; the manager was unavailable for a day and no employees had the authority or knowledge on how to handle the situation. The employees could not reach the manager. My move was delayed by a number of days due to this and cause me to reschedule movers on both ends of the delivery. Very frustrating and the manager's "I'm sorry", doesn't cut it. In addition, your Help Line had excessive delays of up to an hour each time I called. Time is money and you wasted both my time and my money. Not pleased at all.Suzanne C.

It was extremely difficult to turn the key in the ignition to start the truck. Three separate times I thought I was going to have to call roadside assistance to come start the truck. The second time it wouldn't start (you literally couldn't turn the key), I called the local store where I picked the truck up and asked If I wasn't doing something correctly, and the guy I spoke to said, "oh you have truck number (I can't remember the number). Yeah, that one is difficult to start - you just have to keep trying and use a lot of force with the key" It was a very hot day and the last thing I wanted to do was sit in the cab of a truck that wouldn't start & die of heat stroke! I finally got it started and returned it, but that truck shouldn't be rented until the ignition problem is fixed!BRADLEY G.

The bed of the truck had a lot of stuff on the floor that was never swept. I had to sweep it before I placed my clean stuff in. Also, for some reason, after I put in 10,00 $ of gas down the street at the Velaro gas station, the gauge was perfect in between a half a tank and three quarters. Then, when I arrived and parked to take down the information, the gauge showed less and it wasn't even a a half a mile down the road. You have to check your gas gauge because there is no way I burned that much in that short drive.NICOLE R.

The online system was good and easy. No big complaints there. Our unit has stair-only access, which wouldn't have deterred me, but I could see that being an issue for others. I don't remember that being stated in the description. We did have difficulty finding our unit. I did not see the link for the facility map that was in an email until after we went to the facility. We were driving around and couldn't find the right building, a directional sign, or map. We eventually went into the office, where the only associate was working with another customer. We waited for a few minutes, but eventually a small paper map on an empty associates desk, from which we were able to find our unit. I would recommend some signage to at least direct cars toward the right access doors for the different alphabetic regions. The "air conditioned" unit was very hot. After loading our unit we went back the the office and told the associate who said they knew and that it was going to be fixed soon. We went back today (two weeks later) and the AC unit was running, but it was still above 85° On the wall mounted thermometer. Not the end of the world, but worth noting, the door stop on the access door to our section is broken. One final note, our unit had a rat trap in the corner. On one hand, I appreciate pest control, but on the other, it was concerning.Cory K. | Online Move In
