U Hual is one of the greatest mover in America. It's has the best materials equipment for moving which is completely the best satisfied, appreciating and compatible assistance.
SAIFUL KThe heater was not working, unfortunately, I discovered it after I load the truck, drove 50 miles from New York. I had to wear all the clothing I have, drive 500 miles in freezing weather.

MICHAEL AI reserved an 8x14' unit as well as a truck. When I returned the truck on November 23rd at 8am, and planned to unload it, the girl working at the front desk said that there were no units available and that she "didn't have me in her system." I offered to take two 8x8' units, and she scoffed saying, "those aren't even the same size!" When I asked for help and what to do she then ignored me and moved to the other station and helped customers behind me. I continued to ask what should I do, and left after about ten minutes of her completely ignoring me. I ended up driving to another storage facility, offloading there, and returning the truck. I had to pay more for gas and mileage as a result. Additionally, I am a disabled combat vet. I had help with the loading of the truck, but had to offload myself, which is why having the storage at the drop-off was a medical necessity for me. As a result, I will likely be non-ambulatory over the Thanksgiving week.

CATALINA PThe 15 ft truck I rented had the drivers side mirror loose so it would not stay in position so I had to constantly adjust the mirror manually every 3 minutes to keep it in place so I could drive and it was extremely dangerous and I almost got into several close calls and could have gotten into very dangerous accidents.

TULIO ESo hears the thing, everything was great and I would have rated it a 5 stars but I swear I probably could have gotten a contact high from the weed smell in the van. It was overwhelming and something should be done to air out the van if they are going to hot box it.

ABOU S24/7 reservation was not honored. It was for 7am. Had to wait two hours in the cold for the center to open. They do not provide an explanation. Loosing those two hours had a negative impact on the move.

CASSAGNOL UBesides having a headlight out and no one telling me other than that overall it was excellent. The ride up to Pennsylvania was great. Couldn't tell the headlight was out because it was daytime until I got pulled over on the New Jersey Turnpike, but that was OK because they let me go. I thank you so much for all you've done and I will definitely be using you again. Have a beautiful day thank you again Jennifer Greco.
JENNIFER ALong line, long wait. Slow service where each person took an average of 20 minutes. Once you get to the front, you were asked to use the online pick up and do most of the work yourself on the cell phone. Waste of time waiting on line for 40+ minutes just to pick up a rental truck. Also, was charged $14 for gas even after I filled the tank to the same amount when I picked up the rental.
Tony NHonestly this isn't fair to rate the location because it wasn't really the issue. The only thing I'd say is that there isn't parking for customers who need a rental for a few hours. I was told to take my vehicle out and look for street parking and it's a busy neighborhood which then took time out of my initial rental period. And I'm sure I was charged for returning the van an hour later. What was really bad was the mobile service. I mean there isn't an easier way? Mobile service are into my rental period as well... no one was able to reset my time or anything. Not the best experience U-Haul but your staff was nice

Roberto TMy storage has given me not only space for my belongings to put in place, but enough is enough when I went broke & have no job, so I took the liberty to remove or declutter my items since I have a family to think of. Thank you Uhaul for renting me a storage space, maintaining as best as you can with the cleanliness around my storage & for having bathrooms. Sure staff are limited, but friendly specially when I had to report to remove my profile from the system. Liked the one time van rent out in which ironically was limited too from that time before the pandemic. The rent increase every year was not bad when I used to work. Thank you Uhaul for opening my eyes & for your service.

And they drew a highlighter where they say the gauage was. My photo matches the contract. Theirs is false. And they just did not care. I paid 60$ for gas. 30 I paid to fill it to contract requirement. They charged 30 because it wasn't filled according to them and my time stamp photo of the Guage is nothing???? Awful experience

All I wanted to cancel was the tow, but the whole thing was cancelled by the same agent n I was never informed until I was to pick up the truck. Then he said they didn't call u I said for what they were to call n tell u they cancelled I never did find out who they were. Someone named Dawn in customer Svc. Said I would be called the 3 business day n no one has called yet. Alyssa was great n helpful but she also said I would be called n no one did I was told that I wld get some kind of resolution to this awful problem. I'm returning the truck now cleaned to Flushing

My things where auction off and there was many items that had sentimental value that are gone! I will never use U-Haul or refer anybody ever to your establishment!
JESSICAA B | Expérience généraleBeen using the storage facilities for about 15 yrs (2 different accounts) and in the beginning everything was okay... just okay. There were no storage facilities with 24 hr access in the area, so didn't have much choice. Prices, availability, cleanliness, and service was not all that bad. Was even offered a free month when a year was paid upfront. As time went by, prices were jacked up, started getting dirty from people leaving garbage all over or wait a good 30 - 45 mins standing in line just to get some help because online service wasn't available back then (and sometimes even to this day). Once the online service was available, the horror story began. Don't know who made it, but it was a shitshow. Couldn't use it without getting a migraine or constantly going down. Even up until today looks like a website that was made by a 80 year old person who just started using the internet. Hope they hire a second grader who can definitely make it better in 2024. Installed sliding doors that were shutoff or inoperable most of the time. Should've made it accessible to people with their cards or at least make the manual door wider for people that access at 2 or 3 in the morning to avoid the rush. And speaking of rushes, the traffic on the weekends to get to the storage facilities was a nightmare! The street traffic, is something that can't be controlled but during the day, there are so many soliciting "illegal aliens" that don't even speak English trying to look for work or sneak into the bathroom especially when it rains, snows, or the weather gets bad, they go stand inside the facilities where they don't belong! Even took pictures of some of them, and had to threaten to call police before finally leaving me alone. Recently, even during the day, there is no parking available for the storage unit owners because of the "genius" employees that park the UHAUL vehicles in our spots or the "mentally handicapped" people that leave their cars thinking it's all day free parking! And as for the nighttime, that's a whole other story. On top of the sliding door situation, sometimes the elevator was inoperable, someone sleeping in the bathroom, and it also seemed like some people were living in their storage units! Got dirtier and started to smell! After the so-called climate controlled atmosphere was placed in, this got worse. Also, on the weekends, almost definitely, we could barely get into the driveway because of the "idiots" that drop-off the vehicles so amazingly! Had to come back the next day soooo many times! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! If I could request a refund everytime I was inconvenienced, UHAUL will probably pay me to use their storage. It is highly recommended NOT to rent the storage units unless you REALLY are a glutton for pain and REALLY have money or time to waste. But again, it's not like we have a choice around this area. If you must... GOOD LUCK!

There is usually only 1 person working, it takes extremely long to get through whatever steps the computer takes them through. As one person in line said, I could rent a multi thousand dollar car in seconds at a car rental company. I assume your computer system should be updated. The employees seem frustrated as well. The facility was clean, it would have helped if more air was circulating throughout each isle of lockers. It was very uncomfortable in there in this hot weather. The staff was very nice and professional!

Treats customers differently based on race, and treated me with a nasty attitude because I looked Asian. Even after first initial payment issue was settled about a week ago, our storage door had a lock. He lied that he sent someone to unlock it when it was a lie. I had to go back and forth from our storage on forth floor to the front desk three times to have him go up to unlock it himself without any apology for the inconvenience and for his lies…. NEVER will I use this facility for my storage needs, nor say anything nice about renting a space at this location. I have been having great experiences in different Uhaul locations, but this location needs to change its manager to make this place to be on par with other locations and your company's standard if there is any…. Stop hiring unqualified individuals as managers because it ruins the entire facility…. I really think that your company should do a surprise audit or inspection to get this issue corrected fast as I often see so many unhappy customers on the lines to get helped…. Truck rental is another disaster in itself…. People are arguing outside. Gas gauge is working where I put in gas, but the needle doesn't move at all…. If I was nasty, I could sue for faulty gas gauge that defrauds customers…. Please do bring sanity to this place as I like using Uhaul!!!

But, the one older gentleman, Jeffrey Taub, who was supposed to help me check out my truck rental didn't help me properly. I had to go back inside to him 3 times. I wasted over an hour just trying to get 1 rental truck dealing with him. Very unprofessional. I went to him to pick up my rental and he had me do it over my phone when I was already in front of him at the counter. I tried over the phone & it didn't work so I still had to go back in to him. It took him 3 mins to get me started. He could've done that the 1st time I went to him. Then he gives me truck keys for trucks that were in the middle of the rows. Not in the front. We Had to wait until the other trucks get moved for us to get the one we rented. He gives me a truck that has almost no gas. I asked him if he had one with atleast half a tank of gas. I wanted to make sure i didn't get stuck getting to my destination and he tells me there's a gas station up the block... Very unprofessional..

Lin L | Expérience généraleThe website advertised 24 hour access moving from out of state and living temporarily in a hotel it worked best for me as i have used that feature for other out of state moves in the past usually for an additional small fee. when i arrived with a fully loaded u haul truck the front desk attendant stated that it was for "commercial guest only" businesses etc. I stated that that was clearly stated on the website or on the signage that was next to the desk. She stated that's just how it is. Having to catch a flight back i was put in a position of having no choice but to complete the move in. When i was moving out i asked for 24 hour access again because i am again completing this alone and when i called the gentleman i spoke to said that they stopped offering that service a while ago and extended the normal access hours. I advised him that i am requesting this as a last resort and he reiterated that the service is completely unavailable to everyone. I advised him of again the website and the posted signage in the facility and they stated that "we just didn't change it yet" and reiterated the hours are from 5am to 10pm implying that that should be more than enough time. I think its unfair for someone who does not know my life situation or responsibilities to decide that their hours should not be a problem for me. i work nights and have people to take care of during the day. i shouldn't have to explain that to someone to get the services as advertised when that was the reason i chose that storage facility
