The two ladies who were working at the College Point location on the afternoon of Sunday, April 11, were the best customer service I've ever experienced at any Uhual location. I did not get their names, but I hope they get some recognition for doing such a good job, making the process quick and demonstrating masterful handling of a situation with a customer who was behaving rudely.Dominick M.

I was not aware that its uhaul policy to make it difficult to rent a van in comparison to other retail rental companies. My state issued drivers license along with my Amex credit card my cell phone my home phone number was not enough to be eligible to rent a van I also needed to give a friends telephone number to be called on the spot to verify I am who I am this is preposterous. Furthermore the process of returning the rental van is insane. I paid complete insurance coverage for the rental van. I have to remain in the van while the rep bangs on 4 tires with a stick tells me to put the van forward and reverse then to process to operate all the turns signals and lights before the return process is completed. Again what is this a utility van or prestige luxury car. This solidifies next time I should stick with Hertz or Enterprise for my rental van business. Uhaul needs to change its process... The drop off was very easy at this location. The customer service was horrible. The agent found a parking ticket in the center counsel and said this is yours ( yelling). I told him this in not mine and he threw it on the ground. I had to pick it up and show that it was from late March and I just picked the truck up today(April 10th). It wasn't mine! He said you can just throw it away then. The pattern with Uhual is the customer service is garbage. I usually use Uhual when I move, but the past two experiences have been really bad. I would probably look into another service the next time I move!!Alexander S.

I rent vans from there very often and ever single time I do when I return it you guys always find something wrong with it when I return that absolutely was not caused by me and then charge me, or have me slip cash on the seat. Staff are not particularly friendly; when asked about the dolly I reserved, one staff told me not available and not attempt to help further. However, we were super appreciative with one particular employee who went above and beyond to help us locate one. Thank you! We were over charged on the fuel when returning the truck. Despite we already filled it back to the level of fuel when we picked up the truck, we were still being charged. Called to dispute and was given a follow up number but no one has followed up.Wai Keung V.

My truck had a ceiling leak in the corner and a few of my boxes got wet and broke obviously because cardboard cant get wet really inconvenienced my move in experience also dont understand why that truck is being rented out especially because it was a rainy day and forecast for my entire rental periodDEIJA S.

Was a very efficient experienced, but for someone who doesn't rent a Uhaul very often, and not familiar with the process, the whole customer experience felt very "rushed." I realize they are busy, but on return of the vehicle- got barked at to do the lights test, reverse- etc. Would help to have a minute to gather belongings, get settled after a long stressful drive through NYC traffic.Brendan R.

I have been to this place about 3 times the last 2 months. All counter service was great. The first 2 times when I go outside to pick up vehicle, it was handle with professional service. Only this last time when i went out o pick up vehicle, All the attendant did was push the remote and set off the alarm and tell me to go look for the vehicle where sound is from?....He never drove the truck to the station and or explain what to do...Perhaps he thinks I don't speak English and sort of discriminated me?YEEPING Y.

Very rude, I was asking about the all the charges and they seemed and displayed that they were very bothered by this and was rushing me out the store. Mind you at this time the store was empty, but I stood firm and persisted on understanding the variables that added up to the grand total. Ended up that I was overcharged with a wrongfully charged cleaning fee but I brought the vehicle back clean and the cleaners vouched for my claim and they issued the refund. Horrible glitchy smartphone rental process. Arrived 6:20 AM, got nowhere on my own and telephone support was well intentioned but completely ineffective. I disappointed to rented U-Haul Van. The day befor I pickup, I came to U-Haul saturday to make reservations that I needed the 15'N Truck Van, same as I had rented before, I sad. But that U-Haul employer he dont answered, he just printed the papers he needed and he give me the copy. Than he serving athers customers. On the ways I go home I repeat to read the paper he gives to me that I realized that I got big citing from that guys, he dont give me the 15'N truck Van as I ask hem, he just put van in the paper. The nex days when I came to pickup the car, I asking again the Van'15 N, but he answered 'you get what in the paper printed.!!* This is actually reason I can't returned the van as shedulled...!
