What is the point of offering the option to upload one's driver license on line (which I went through quite a lot of time & effort to scan and upload) and enter one's credit card information when making a reservation? I made my reservation online. I walked into the U-Haul store. I gave my name. They found my reservation. I had my printed reservation email in hand. Then I had to present my drivers license . . . and my credit card . . . and be called on my cell phone AND have my friend called on their cellphone in order to proceed. If I have to go through all this . . . then do NOT offer the option to upload my drivers license as it serves no purpose in terms of expediting the checkout process. Having me scan and upload my driver's license amounted to . . . a waste of my time. Furthermore, all staff and customers in the store were wearing masks . . . all except for one black man, about 5'11", lean and fit: he was not wearing his mask: it was dangling off one ear. I stated this to my checkout young lady and she ignored my comment. The man overheard my comments because I said, in a loud tone, "Why is HE not wearing a mask?" but he continued to do his task and . . . slinked away without affixing his mask. Failure to abide CDC health recommendations puts people at risk. Why should your Customers be subjected to an arrogant, ignorant, worker who refuses to follow the rules? Please advise. Clean yes, but the trucks are shit. First truck had a power steering problem. Second truck (same morning) had an abs light on with brakes grinding metal to metal. Trucks need to be better maintained and serviced. On a lighter note, the staff was extremely kind and courteous.Victor B.

The mobile pickup took way longer (about 30 mins) than it sounded. Approval process took the longest time, and the pickup process on the app did not specify someone would call the alternate contact as a part of the pickup process. The truck bed has shattered glass pieces everywhere.Minhan S.

My experience at pick up in College Point Queens wasn't great, but the drop off in Salisbury was outstanding. I ordered online and a discount was supposed to be applied for a different drop off location. The worker in College Point couldn't be bothered, even though it reflected on my records. I've rented U-Haul trucks from this location. It's not because they have good customer service, but it's because the location is convenient. The customer representatives at the rental counter are very business like and not friendly at all. A guy did not even want to process my reservation (even though he had nothing to do), and he told me to use my U-Haul app (I don't have one). The thing I did not like the most is that they must call a contact that you give them, and your contact must answer the phone call. If not, they don't rent the truck to you even though you have a reservation. This is the only U-Haul rental location calls your contact before the truck rental will be processed. If I have other choices, I will not rent from this location again.SHAN CHING M.

I have been a uhaul customer fir many years, this facility was horrible. Our belongings were destroyed by water damage, mold and mildew destroyed our storage boxes and possessions. It was disgraceful!! The precious valuables were things treasured from years, decades ago and no value could be put on them. We will never get those pictures, diplomas and various other treasures our family saved. Shame on uhaul and their flushing facility and employees. Staffs at this location are friendly and helpful, I have no issue with it. But there is only one person serving at counter, waiting time isn't a good experience. Other than that, equipment is really at minimum in my opinion. Trucks are old and parts are falling apart (door seals), tailgate is not easy to pull close, no backup camera to cover the blind spot while reverse. Steering wheel shake crazy when driving on highway @ 40mph.... VehicleBody has damages every where before renting and i as customer need to spend 30 mins to check every details of the body damages and upload to the U-Haul app because all truck pictures from U-Haul are not matching in reality.SHIH PING K.

Have all the equipment ready if people bought it. We ordered a dolly and some moving pads and the dolly wasn't there so we were just sent off to have to call customer service and figure out the dolly on our own. It was super annoying because we got charged for a dolly we never had then spent hours trying to get a refund. Workers should automatically remove the dolly from our account if it's not there or remove them for the day if they don't have any. Plus we really needed a dolly so it was super inconvenient. Your computer systems do not work. All on-line check-ins fail, the upload of photos to the virtual inspection doesn't work, the registering of an account doesn't work, etc. Yet you hire staff as if all computer items are functional. The staff you have are great and very helpful.Kristin G.

I was not aware that its uhaul policy to make it difficult to rent a van in comparison to other retail rental companies. My state issued drivers license along with my Amex credit card my cell phone my home phone number was not enough to be eligible to rent a van I also needed to give a friends telephone number to be called on the spot to verify I am who I am this is preposterous. Furthermore the process of returning the rental van is insane. I paid complete insurance coverage for the rental van. I have to remain in the van while the rep bangs on 4 tires with a stick tells me to put the van forward and reverse then to process to operate all the turns signals and lights before the return process is completed. Again what is this a utility van or prestige luxury car. This solidifies next time I should stick with Hertz or Enterprise for my rental van business. Uhaul needs to change its process... The drop off was very easy at this location. The customer service was horrible. The agent found a parking ticket in the center counsel and said this is yours ( yelling). I told him this in not mine and he threw it on the ground. I had to pick it up and show that it was from late March and I just picked the truck up today(April 10th). It wasn't mine! He said you can just throw it away then. The pattern with Uhual is the customer service is garbage. I usually use Uhual when I move, but the past two experiences have been really bad. I disappointed to rented U-Haul Van. The day befor I pickup, I came to U-Haul saturday to make reservations that I needed the 15'N Truck Van, same as I had rented before, I sad. But that U-Haul employer he dont answered, he just printed the papers he needed and he give me the copy. Than he serving athers customers. On the ways I go home I repeat to read the paper he gives to me that I realized that I got big citing from that guys, he dont give me the 15'N truck Van as I ask hem, he just put van in the paper. The nex days when I came to pickup the car, I asking again the Van'15 N, but he answered 'you get what in the paper printed.!!* This is actually reason I can't returned the van as shedulled...!
