This location was EXTREMELY understaffed. One employee was ill, but required to come in. Trying to get the trailer hooked up took over 30 minutes, and the installer didn't make sure I could clear the trailer next to it (Couldn't do a straight shot out due to entrance and numerous trucks.). The trailer hadn't been cleaned, which took the employee another 5 minutes to sweep it out. Upon return, I got in the equipment return spot, only to be told to back up and move closer to where we had picked it up. Then, the young man didn't give me the adapter I had purchased for it. I had to ask for it. It literally took over 45 minutes just to get it hooked up and another 20 minutes to be unhooked.

There was a big mix up! Luckily I called the day before delivery and asked to make sure they were going to deliver my stored boxes. Whoever took the call when I ordered the delivery made the mistake. She ordered empty boxes instead. The lady who I reached to confirm tried to correct the issue but no one was in the scheduling office. I had to spend a lot of time trying to correct and reach the Fullerton office to make sure they did not deliver empty boxes. Very disappointed with Uhaul moving. I also had an issue when I had moving help to load them, with a mover who was very unresponsive. I had to reschedule with another moving company last minute because he never returned my call as promised. Would not be able to recommend to someone unless they are willing to spend a lot of time on hold to reach Uhaul...and to follow up on every single portion of the move. I had tried many times to reach Fullerton office and it would always go to a call center. Would have saved time to be able to reach them on the phone. The young ladies who delivered and picked up the boxes were great however!

My boxes were supposed to be picked up on a Sunday and they weren't picked up until the following Thursday. I spent countless hours talking to multiple people trying to get the boxes picked up. I was very frustrated with the time it took and no one seemed to have a response as to why the boxes were not being picked up. It was a very inconvenient situation as one of my boxes was located in my only parking spot. I had relayed this message to the Uhaul employees but there was no sense of urgency to get the boxes picked up. Due to this situation I won't be recommending this service to anyone.

I was highly dissatisfied with my experience with U-Haul. My initial call to order the box went well. The driver who dropped off the box was late. The window was 9-12. She didn't call until she was already late, well after 12. She didn't arrive until after 2:30 ish. My husband was late to work waiting for the drop. I and many errands and things to take care of before our cross country move. Megan made it up with wonderful customer service. I believe this was the fault of U-Haul for not supplying her with enough boxes for her day. That is why she was late, so she said. On my pick up date the driver just showed up because we didn't hear her phone call. I never had a day before call to alert me what the next day window was. That driver insured me they could come back the next day. When I called the dispatch to schedule later that day, the woman assured me that was impossible. It wasn't until I argued I was promised this would be fine, she stumbled with her words, talked over me and was very rude. She finally scheduled a pick up for the next day, a Monday. And lastly, I received a call May 30th about delivery of our box. I told the woman we actually needed it at our storage, down the rode instead. And could they wait while we unloaded it or come back the next day? She said the driver was working 7 days straight! So they would come back the next day to get it. She read me all of the notes and assured me it would be at the storage between 9-12, and we would get a call when they were on their way. And on Saturday they would retrieve it from the storage unit. At around 11 am my husband heard a forklift carrying our box into our neighborhood. I quickly came out and told Shanna that this was incorrect. I said I have had nothing but issues with this whole process, it has made our move very stressful. She said never once was she given those directions. That however is beside the point, a courtesy call prior is still necessary. (She later said she read the notes, but clearly too late) But she was more than happy to drive it down the road for us. Once at the storage I asked when someone would pick it up tomorrow, because we can't leave it at the unit longer than that. Debbie, the driver said she had vacation tomorrow and was the only driver. Shanna and Debbie helped us unload the box! They were wonderful. I however do not understand a company that treats their employees so poorly. Since the beginning this process has been majorly stressful. The lack of communication between dispatch and drivers is ridiculous. I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone because of this huge oversight. Your employees are miserable, poorly informed, and it shows me the management is incompetent! I spent around $2,000 on this service. I would like a refund please. I suffer from anxiety and this whole ordeal has given me multiple panic attacks. Overall I had a very good experience, but there was definitely some lack of coordination and/or communication at the beginning regarding the availability of the IBox and the location where I would load it. Also, I was not clear on how long I would have it available for loading. The box arrived on time, was delivered and picked up right away. All staff I interacted with were nice and accommodating. All my items arrived intact.

Very large semi-truck and trailer was blocking the return entrance causing me to return the trailer on the side of the building. The truck then blocked my exit causing me to have to back out into the street. The driver of the truck should have been forced to comply with the location’s yard rules to prevent obstruction of customer access.

Although she was friendly, the woman that checked us in, used the "G-Damn word. I found this highly offensive. I've been using this particular Uhaul for years, and have never had this problem before. I wish I knew her name, I'd tell you. Very disappointed.

I used the mobile app check in and check out and I got pop ups at 2 points in the process so at check in I had to go inside to ask what next step was to get my keys they finally found me as discharged to their location. And at the end process to leave my keys I didn't know where to leave them because of a pop up that needed to be done so I had to search for drop box and asked a worker for clarification.

Online app was easy to use for reserving a 15' truck and reserving it within 12 hours of picking it up. Staff was courteous and flexible with allowing me to extend the rental of the truck as we needed it longer than our anticipated 6 hr use. We returned the truck after hours and followed the instructions using the app which took some time as there was a glitch after 2 attempts, we gave up and just dropped the key in the drop box and received an email receipt in the morning. Billing was accurate and easy to read. I liked the whole ease of the rental process. Great job!

It should be stated on the website that it is a delivery window and that you can't just pick a time for them to be delivered. I didn't find this out until the day before delivery after making extensive preparations and making sure I had people there to help.

Too many pads. I think uhaul staff should be more clear on delivery of stored u boxes- mileage from there not originating location it cost me 300$ that would have prompted me to not even use ubox for my move. My delivery was 4-6 miles over the 50 mile I think the very least it should be prorated. Very disappointed at this fact.

I was helped by a woman named Wendy, she did her best to get ahold of the pick up location to fix the problems I had with my bill. Unfortunately the pick up location did not answer so she left me with a cbusiness card and her supervisors name in hopes to resolve the problems and give me a call back. I was given a truck and told it had a full tank of gas but it was a different truck. I was given a different truck which was fine but this one only had about enough gas for 50 miles. I put gas in it and returned it with more gas then it had. Upon returning it the employee was rude and proceeded to tell me that I should have checked it before I drove off with it because I was given a different truck. They should have that information not me. I also went inside to purchase boxes at which point he didn’t even offer to help me carry them to my car. I case back for the second bundle of boxes and there was a different gentleman there was kind enough to offer to help me carry them to my car. I have rented trucks there before but this was not a good experience today.

Having the hitch installed was quick and easy. Super nice people, too. I was expecting to sit for an hour or so but I honestly don't think it took 30 minutes. The only "negative" thing I can say was the parking was a bit snug and the lot was a bit confusing. Not really a big issue, just wanted to make mention of it. I've already recommended them to a friend.

When we got there the front desk gentleman was helping another client so we were patiently waiting; however, there were two female employees having a loud personal conversation in the back and we could hear everything. They were laughing and having a good time. It could be that they were on their break but to a client that is waiting to be tended the impression is something totally different. At one point when the front desk gentleman was processing our order, one of the girls cursed and he reminded her that there were clients present and she apologized. The truck was pulled by someone else and when we were done with the paperwork the front desk gentleman just said the truck was outside and to compare it to the pictures from the link I received on text. We compared it by ourselves and the very minimal damage was accounted for. That part just seemed like a transaction but other than that he was professional and polite through out the process. When I returned the truck and pulled up to the stop sign I saw an employee who was probably 20 yards (maybe) away and he started walking towards me and then stopped mid way to check a phone he had in his hand. Mind you, this phone was the Uhaul phone to process our return however to someone who is waiting and the employee just stops and is looking through a phone the impression is something different. When he finally approached me, he confirmed my return by last name (that’s when I figured out he was running the plates to figure out which return it was). He checked the mileage and told me my final total which was the exact total I had estimated based on miles I thought I would be traveling. I responded by telling him that I had driven less than the 15 miles (don't know the exact mileage or maybe I was wrong about that) and he responded with a general response that I didn’t agree and can’t remember but I wasn’t going to stand there and argue about possibly 2 miles (yes, this Uhaul company can have those additional $2 and change) so I just responded with “okay, whatever” and walked away. That was it, only three sentences from this gentleman (maybe four because I think he asked if I wanted a printed receipt). Everything very robotic. The whole time I was returning the truck it seemed like I was taking precious time from him and got ticked off for the lack of professionalism.

The side view mirrors were stuck, so I could not adjust them, which was super dangerous. Two different men that tried to assist me were so lethargic that I was fairly sure they were stoned. When we realized that we had left our own dolly inside the truck, my sister tried calling them several times to ask them to look for it, but they never called her back. When I went back to ask them about it, one of the guys showed me the wrong truck, and wandered around aimlessly, shrugging and acting stoned. They told me that they check the trucks before renting them out again, which means that an employee found it and stole it, or they don't check the trucks and the next renter has it.

Clerical: I rented an appliance dolly. It was $10 a day. I had to answer the same questions as if I were renting a fleet of trucks. It took nearly 15 minutes to rent a $10 dolly for a few hours. That's ridiculous. Customer Service: All the clerk did for the first few minutes of our exchange was complain that she was supposed to have gone home two hours earlier, but the store was understaffed, blah blah. This is not my problem, and customers don't need to hear about employee problems. Again, I was just renting a dolly. The whole experience was ridiculous.

I made a reservation over the phone and was told I can use it for 24 hours; I made this clarification several times and it was very important to use the truck for a full day move. I got to the location at 730pm and was told to return the truck before 9am [we had to return it by 830, i requested 845 instead]. I asked why there was an overlap with booking and I was told that some people ignore the pop up information and book it anyway. This made the entire experience very rough as I had to rush a 15 mi move [back and forth, 4 bedroom house] within 10 hours. I thought it was a terrible experience to have been inconvenient that way when I specifically clarified that I can use the truck for 24 ours and was promised that I can. I wish I could've canceled but the whole weekend was already booked. I just wished every employee was as consistent and competent when it comes to offering clients their products/goods and services. Have a uhaul ready within a thirty minute timeframe of reservation time. This was the second location I visited to get a reserved uhaul. First uhaul moved my reservation to here. Only complaint I have is I was charged twice for the uhaul. One on each card. There was an issue to begin with from the first location in Fullerton, CA reservation and because my card was ran several times because of a software or computer issue, I couldn’t use my preferred card of choice. Visalia, CA charged my card again for the uhaul rental. I have to get that resolved and I believe it was an innocent mistake. Other than that I was treated kind and professional.

Often long wait, employee doesn't want to do their job. Less than 3 feet is too long for them to move a trailer to my hitch and wants me to readjust me vehicle ever time. Willing to go to other UHaul 4-5 miles further away, but they had to move my reservation to Fullerton because trailer was unavailable. Anaheim is above and beyond was it expected from a UHaul. I try to avoid Fullerton and tell everyone who needs something the Anaheim is the place

Very first time ever over the years that I have been using this particular U-Haul shop that teh 15-foot truck was not ready. However, WE are humans & occasionally we all make little boo-boos SO all is very good. I would & have always recommended Euclid/Commonwealth shop to anyone who needs kind of moving help.
