Joe, you fat sack, you have billions of dollars and your holding company Amerco has a 40 % stake in the company and you keep upping th cost? C'mon dude. I wonder if Leonard and Anna Mary would have supported this idea of an American dream. Maybe you should downsize your lifestyle. Try not to drop dead from coronary. I answered the prior questions. Had good service from staff for making garbage pay, a "clean" rental that has been the Epitome of U'Haul's standards since the recession, and I wouldn't recommend any location to anyone with these rates. Go to your communities rather than rent a truck from U-Haul or any of their competitors.

He gave me some fantastic suggestions & worked me thru a more beneficial timeline in advance for both me and his U-Haul dealership and helped me to save over $3000.! By renting the largest 26' truck thru his location in March (instead of June m, as I was planning) as a LOCAL One-Way rental and paying for an extra 5 days and 1 800 miles in advance, he saved me a ton of cash over renting a One-Way out of State and driving the truck to Idaho. Instead of spending almost $6,300., his advice & guidance saved me over $3K, costing me about $2,300. and I gladly spent another $300 buying moving supplies. He got me moving during his slower off-season, which helped his dealership move equipment and it really helped my pocketbook. Also, he rented me a brand new 26' Ford truck that was less than 8 months old, that had only 10 500 miles on it. WIN-WIN !!!

DONALD AU-Haul has been my go to moving service for the past 4 years, and I have not had a bad experience. This time I was quoted $45 for 30 miles and 3 hours, I ended up driving 45 miles and 3 hours, and was charged a total of $132. I will not be renting again from U-Haul after this experience. I am in disbelief that an extra 15 miles would triple the cost of original quote.

RODNEY SEverybody was nice enough and it was my fault for the storage late fees but they charge $15 every 2 weeks so $30 a month late fee and if your 3 months late as I was out of work and got behind, they charge on top of the $30 a $50 lien fee every month. I felt it was just excessive on the fees. They do try to work with you f you can get your belongings out within 24 hours so that's good and everybody was nice there. I rented a Uhaul to move my storage about $15 miles total and they charge you a dollar a mile plus the gas you use. $130 for less then a day and less then 15 miles so Uhaul Has gotten outrageously expensive along w everything else in America. What happened to the $19,99 Days? Also, compared to other storage places for the same size they were $25 a month more then other places.
tamara t | Expérience généraleCustomer service. The guy who first helped made us feel like we were bothering him. The truck we rented felt like it was on its last leg and we didn't feel safe in it. My husband drove it and wouldn't let me or my kids be passengers in case it broke down. It was so loud inside and could hardly shift into gear or keep up with traffic. Disappointed with the experience. Will spend the money to go with a better company. Lesson learned.

MATT CThe cashier had an attitude when I was trying to figure out what to get. Then she told us to go wait outside and someone would be over. After about 15 minutes and customers who came in after us getting their rentals I went back inside. She was very short with me. When I told her that no one had come out to us, she very aggressively said "why would someone come out to you". I told her that 15 minutes she told me that, she said no one comes out for a truck rental and I said I have the 6'X12' trailer. She replied oh that's right, go back out there and I'll send someone. Horrible customer service and not a friendly place to go. I won't be going ever again and no one I know will either.
JESSICA HI have always liked U-Haul and have always moved and stored with them. We only moved to a different place based on location, size, and price. Another storage place was able to offer us all three else we would have stayed there. I will say there was water in the unit on multiple occasions. However I understand that they are not sealed units and we've been getting a lot of moisture lately. Otherwise I was very happy with my experience.

BENITO MThe girl I spoke to on the phone when switching drop off locations was very helpful. But when dropping off the 2 men who were outside were all over the place. They started checking the truck then moved on to other customers before we were done. One guy said someone else would help us after starting then that guy was with other customers before he realized what the other guy said. Seemed very unorganized. We stood there for 5-10 minutes before he realized we were not being helped.

The gentleman who both checked us out and checked us back in was pleasant, professional and committed to giving us a great experience. Nobody was in the store when we arrived and we had to ask for help. There was one gentleman who was doing all the work and had to ask for help. The other employees were not engaged and were more worried about mopping floors and other things. They actually seemed committed to letting the one gentleman succeed or fail on his own and offered him no help. He checked us in took care of us and then went to get our vehicle. All on his own. Whoever that one gentleman is, he is your star employee. Their others provided no value.

JOSHUA DUpon return of the trailer, the gentleman that disconnected the trailer forcefully removed the wiring harness/connection. He ripped the the wires out of the trailer with force. At the time, I noticed it but did not think that it could affect my truck. Upon leaving, my left turn signal did not work. I was receiving warnings on my dash display. Then when I backed into my driveway the back up indicators did not work, as if a trailer was still still attached to the truck. I then had to look at the connection to see what would cause this. I determined there was residual metal still sitting on the connector pins causing the errors/faults with the electronics in the truck. This guy may have been having a bad day or something. At any rate, he needs to not take it out on other peoples vehicles. I was upset but figured I would let it go for the night and contact U-Haul management today. Feel free to call me to discuss. When I finally asked where we were going, the employee advised me the green zip tag is just pulled off and the lock is inside. That's fantastic- except I have a few questions 1) was his response conducive to my "convenient online check in"? 2) why did the EMPLOYEE have no idea where my unit was only to drag me in the completely opposite direction? 3) Why did he not help me get the "super easy zip tie" off my unit? I was the only customer in the building, he already drug me out back and my unit was literally the building immediately outside the employee back door....... I highly suggest additional training and orientation of the property for this employee.

Received information that proved to be incorrect on this process. 2.The first fob I was given to access the facility did not work. 3.Used the online move out process, provided the required photographs showing a clean unit and the fob left. The process required the site manager to approve the move out and after 5 days it still was not approved. Called and after 20 minutes on the phone, was able to get the move out approved. Found out the fob was missing.

I'm not upset about there being no lock, I'm upset about the lack of communication and the subsequent poor customer service of the guys running the office. They kind of gave me a "it's not my problem" attitude.

Lowell R | Expérience généraleThe unit I had (745) was a very difficult unit to access by moving van or trailer and near end of contract the front of my unit was significantly blocked by additional units placed on the ground which made it unusable for me to back into so I was not able to continue using it for what I needed it for. At the time of initial rental unit there were no other units available. This unit was also quite expensive I thought comparably in the market. The staff was extremely nice and always helpful, the hours of access are great, but this is just an inconveniently placed unit for access with busy and restricted access (single lane right driveway) and limited turn around area for a vehicle with any kind of trailer or moving truck. I believe it would be helpful to make additional notes at time of rental that this unit cannot be backed into and that you will need to carry or haul items quite a distance that are moved into or out of this unit.
wendy A | Expérience généraleFirst off. Doing ANYTHING at this location has been a chore and takes three times longer than it should. Every time I'm in there the employees look like they hate their job- tepid at best- and all complain that the computers take forever and are having loading issues. That was no different today. Otherwise. They lost my reservation, then didn't have the size of truck I needed, and originally reserved, so I had to make multiple trips instead of one to achieve what I needed. Still charged me full price, of course, without a single apology for the issues that I can remember. The truck was to be returned in full, although upon checking the fuel before I left it was 7/8's. Had to contact and remedy contract with people at the store and (I believe Dan) was great about it. Minor inconvenience, as an isolated incident and Dan did fine. Also. The location charged me a late fee, despite me being on autopay with the same card and same expiration date I set up my account with. Employee said the expiration date was wrong in the system, but again, it is the same exp. date I have had for years. As I got that resolved, they waived the fee, of course - it wasn't an error on our end- they asked if I wanted to pay up the account. I said no, as I am clearing out the location today. Person said that is fine and goodbye. I thanked him, and then I turned to leave and was stopped by another person saying that actually I have to pay because I have been in the unit 4 days after the payment date. I told the person that if they really feel that it's fair to charge me after loosing my rental, not having the truck I need because of that, charging me erroneously and me having to figure it out with them, to do what they think is right. Got home after spending the day moving with the small truck, and they charged me for the entire month for half a week's stay into the period. Beyond that. I called the week prior and specifically let them know when I'd be cleaning out and was not advised of any period of time that I would have to be out by to not be reimbursed for a prorated amount for the month. I was further frustrated at the fact that, despite the maybe 10 Keys on the wall for reservations coming in, there were probably 20 trucks on the lot that were the size I needed anyway. I'm sure there's a reason that I was told that a 15' truck that I had reserved prior wasn't available, maintenance, or whatever, but this certainly just struck an additional chord. Not happy with this location.

I was managing this remotely and attempted to get in touch with a human being via both the on line chat and the phone (did this simultaneously). Spent 51 minutes on hold. Before the 51 minute long hold, I got to someone who said she needed to transfer me and that it would only take a minute. I'd say she set my expectations incorrectly. As a result, I wasted HOURS when I should have been packing the truck trying to verify where and when my contract showed I would be I at my destination and what storage I would be using. When I moved out, I cancelled the truck I had ordered but wanted to keep the rental for moving blankets which the very pleasant lady from national told me I could do. When I arrived with trailers and trucks to load nice furniture and antiques, local told me I could not rent blankets unless I rented equipment. They said it was policy bcs so many people did not return blankets. So charge them the purchase price for the unreturned blankets when you figure their final bill. I DID return all my rented blankets with the truck but I was penalized for what others did!

AMY R | Premières impressionsPart of the contract started that I would recieve a free lock. I recieved a text message stating that the lock would be in my unit upon move-in. It was not. I tried calling the office about this. After approximately 10 minutes of letting the phone ring someone who identified themselves as Jodie answered. When told the problem she at first replied that locks were not provided. That'll when informed that I read promised a lock in my unit she said that was incorrect and I needed to come inside for one. As I was exciting the storage area to cums into the building to pick up a lock Jodie left the building and drove away leaving me no opportunity to lock my unit. I had to drive to Wal-Mart and purchase a lock. I spoke to corporate about the behavior and was promised I would recieve a call back. It's been a week and no phone call. Also, I rented a 5x10 unit and it is not 5x10 no matter how you measure it. Given the broken promise of a lock, the exceedingly poor customer service by both corporate and the local location, and the incorrect unit size I just cannot recommend U-Haul storage to anyone.

I couldn't find the keypad before office was open and struggled to get out, even with customer service on chat mobile. I couldn't reach anyone by phone. The third person told me that I didn't have to pay for it till I went and picked it up. 2 days later I was charged a week earlier then the u-boxes were supposed to arrive which ended in overdrafting my account. When I called to see if they could revirse I was transferred 3 times. Where no one could help. By the end they transferred me to the first person I talked to. All and all being told we can't help you.

The clicker that I was given didn't work so I got stuck inside the gate. I feel that it is the employees job to ensure that the clicker is working before sending to customer out to figure it out on their own.
