BOBBY RGas light was on when we got in, truck sounded rough. Went to 3 locations before we found what we wanted just to find out we had todo everything on line. People at U-Haul short and mouthy bad customer service skills. Rates are high for what you get

Chris P | Expérience généraleI had an issue with my trailer. It took 45 minutes to get it sorted out. Apparently the one I was assigned was rented to someone else the day before. There was an additional trailer on the grounds, but it took 45 minutes to figure out how to get that trailer assigned to me. The staff was pleasant to work with however, I could have been in and out much quicker.

OLIVER HWas missing a furniture dolly, was told to pick one up at another stop and when I got there, they told me I'd have to rent one from that location and request a refund at the original one. I got kicked out, midway through the mobile check in and it showed I picked it up before I could take pictures of the odometer and all the sides of the vehicle. Also only had 45miles of gas, which that didn't bother me as much, except the hour I wasted trying to do the check ins and the pick up and drop off of the equipment at separate locations
KAITLIN TI made a reservation a week ahead of time for a 6x12 trailer. I called earlier the day of the reservation and confirmed but when I showed up they had no trailer for me. I had to move my son the next day so I had no choice but to rent a truck larger than what I needed. They gave me a discounted rate on the milage which I appreciate but it still cost me a lot more with milage and gas than the trailer would have and the fact they did not honor my reservation or at least met me know us poor customer service. The gentleman who worked with me was very nice, apologetic, and as helpful as he could be so nothing against him but I am very disappointed in this experience.

anton pThe staff was excellent, this site I love . I have a storage unit here for the last 4 years. I rented a van and it was so clean and so large. There is nothing to improve for this site.
Sally BIt was an experience. I had a conversation with somebody from U-Haul about the rental of the van that I rented. I didn't understand how I ended up paying $97 for a van that rented for $19 a day. The guy that checked in the van jumped in the van went around back, came back Three minutes later wrote out my bill and I owe $97. The person I talked to from U-Haul stated that there was 70 miles on that van. There was no way I put 70 miles on that van when I rented the van I paid for 20 miles so an extra 70 miles on that van Made me not go back to that U-Haul store to rent a U-Haul. That's why I cleaned out my storage with two weeks left before the next bill and I paid $76 or $126 and when I cleaned out the storage, they said I don't get a refund for The two weeks left on the monthly storage bill. I'm not confrontational there's only money so I just got in the truck and left not a U-Haul truck but the truck that I came there on I think they ripped people off at that place. That's kind of moving and like me I had to be to work two hours after I put the stuff in storage When the facts are every time I need to rent a vehicle I would always use that U-Haul facility that wasn't a good experience. I'm not gonna use that U-Haul experience for that store again.

BENJAMIN HDon't rent from uhaul. Booked a truck and tow dolly two months in advance and on the day we were moving the tow dolly wasn't available and they left it up to us to locate one and then have to drive an hour each way to get it. Additionally, when we showed up at the location we were told to go that uhaul facility in Selma refused to give it to us. This required us to call the main call center to get upper management involved. We were finally provided the tow dolly after 3pm. Because of this we were unable to move that day. Our lease was up the next day so we had to pay a fee for the additional day rent and move the next day. This was an out of state move. We were never offered any compensation for this. Don't ever rent from uhaul. It's terrible.
Thomas MOne person running the whole place, probably 100 vehicles at this location, had to walk around the block, on the street, and find my own truck. Took a video of the truck before stepping in, had this thought from a previous rental locations suggestion, was not informed of a check in text message of "accepting" the vehicle. This is important later

What to do with the truck when you return it and place seemed to be understaffed. I would have expected it to be like car rentals. There is always someone to greet you, checkout out and get you on your way. It was a very different experience from pickup.
Nader MWe have had items stored in this facility since 2008 and personally have had a great experience. There have been changes in management and employees and I've found they all work really hard and deal with a lot of people who lose patience too quickly. Shey, in particular, was always kind and helped me out whenever I needed it!

MICHAEL TI visit this location frequently, mostly for propane. The staff is always friendly and helpful so I choose to go there and rent a trailer when I needed one even though that location didn't have the exact trailer I was looking for. The trailer was in good condition and I had no issues.
KAIN SMy reservation was for a truck, but there was no truck. I accepted being switched to a cargo van. Van definitely smelled like cigarette smoke and had 3 air fresheners variously placed throughout. I returned the van after 24 hours of use, but the staff did not check it back in until the following morning. They charged me an extra day for the delayed check in. I still have not received a final receipt.

When another employee came in, they got my rental completed an hour and a half late, and told me the person who was supposed to set up the keys/trucks the night before just didn't do their job. I will definitely try to find other places to rent from, even though this is location is near me.
SCOTT DTruck wasn't set up for after hours pickup as it was supposed to be. Store did not open at posted hours. Could not pick up truck until two hours after scheduled.
WILLIAM FI was told I had to fold the 6 blankets I rented or else i would be charged $25. That is ridiculous.

David PI rented a truck on the 9th. It is now the 11th still haven't got a finalized receipt. Also, put my account to the negative way over the amount that it cost. Which is unacceptable.

When I got to the location there was a sign in the door that said "went for gas, be right back" an hour later and six more costumers waiting with me for returns, someone finally showed up just to tell me to leave the trailer there.

DAVID MThe check-in line took about 30 minutes with 4 people in front of me since I wanted to upgrade my truck on my mobile reservation. However, Eric was friendly, engaged with the people in line and tried to move them through as quick as he could. Another man outside that was bringing the trucks around was just as nice. Cannot say I'd recommend most U-Haul places due to customer service and/or the facility, but will for this location. Merci.

ISRAEL AMy only complaint was that the auto transport was very dirty and rusty. It needed to be washed. Other than that, service was okay.

CHARLES REverything was good, only issue is I got charged an extra 100 dollars later and I don't know what it could be for. We returned it on time and filled it up with gas.
Jason BWhen I called to try and rent a truck I found the person who answered the phone did not want to help at all. His response to me was that they usually don't have trucks last minute and are reserved. He told me to go on line to see if any were available and then later offered to look if I really wanted him to. Obviously, he was not interested in helping. I went on line and found the exact truck I needed and it was ready to go. I think you might lose a lot of rentals because the employees don't offer to help.

CHANDRA DI arrived at the location at my reservation time of 11am; however I did not drive oof with the truck until noon. First I made the reservation early in the week for a 20' truck but when I arrived I was told those trucks have been taken already. Secondly, once I was ready to get inside the truck I was given the wrong key and had to go back inside. At this point there were more customers. Staff was really nice. I finally got the correct key and found the right truck. However when I did the checklist, I had no dolly in the back of the truck that I had requested since my original truck was not available. Therefore I had to go back into the store for a third time to get a Dolly. By this time I'm a little irritated but it took three times to cause me to leave until noon.
ERIC AYou can tell them to go somewhere else. The service here is very poor and shoddy. It is recommended to not trust the employees words because they are less than honest. I had a horrible experience at this location. They have no idea what customer service is nor do they value the customers.It was a mistake expecting just minimal basic common courtesy and service from them and my misfortune to even walk in. I wont E V E R again. They cant be trusted or believed. Nor does my experience matter. It is a reflection of uhaul as a whole I have learned. The new management throughout has alot to learn. My business doesn't matter to you all, so I will happily go elsewhere.
KIMBERLY TI can't say enough, good things about this move, how things worked out, and the Movers that I hired both in North Carolina and in California. This is a highly recommended way to get your stuff, relocated, pretty much problem, free and transparent.

LUKE BEric the General Manager and Jourdan B customer rep in store were both outstanding and totally exceeded my expectations! I am a first time storage customer because I got a free first month offer because I rented a truck for Tuesday 1/7/24 but ended needed it for Wednesday as well but it wasn't a problem, I called Jourdan B. and he made the extra day transaction smooth. Now when I went to get into storage this morning at 6:00 am 1-9-24, I thought I had an issue because gate was not opening so i text Eric and he called me right back and he told me I was at the wrong entrance because my unit was climate controlled, so I was finally able to get to the right location but code was not working so I called Eric again and he walked me through the steps, then when I got to my unit I noticed it was told small, so I called Eric again and once again, he located me a bigger unit and I was able to finally get my stuff into storage and he stay on the line and made sure I was satisfied and I was so thankful for these two outstanding employees!!!
GREGORY MI have always felt completely satisfied with my interactions ans dealings with the workers of this store. They unfortunately don't have enough workers to stay on top of all the trash people leave behind. There are long lines and ringing phones with not so nice customers and they then have to clean up after them, so I completely understand why it's not always kept clean. The employees here have always been great to me because I really try to be nice to them. It works, they are awesome!

I hate dealing with Mr. Townes and his crew. Maybe it will get better. I guess he's better then the young lady before him; she was down right rude to customers who keep you in business.

I called in and spoke with a male on Saturday November 23rd about 11am to extend my truck rental and he was very rude and combative. Would not recommend this site to anyone

The gentleman who works at the front, always seems to be inconvenienced by my presence during every interaction. People who are in a situation where they are moving from one home to another are often under a great deal of stress. Like in my case, my housing move-in date was changed two different times. I've had as many as three storage units at this storage facility at one time. As a continued customer, I didn't expect to be treated with such distain.

I was charged for a unit I moved out of after the workers knew I was moving out. Then gave me an U-Haul truck full of water and did not bother to change my U-Haul out or clean the water up I had to use my property to keep the rest of my property from getting damaged. And it's like when you express what you went through it does not matter.

It was removed before the next due date. The storage had no damage. The new manager said I owe a balance and I said for what. There was nothing in the storage. Because the previous Manger didn't document that I didn't close out on paperwork I owe the balance. I said to the manger just check her system. This is the only time I had a problem with uhaul service. I feel I didn't owe anything.

We had never moved before with uhaul so wasn't sure how anything really worked with getting the truck and storage and the experience would have been alot better had the staff been even remotely friendly. The manager was a smidge more friendly but still....maybe they need to take some sort of etiquette class on customer service. Only reason they are getting 2 stars is bc we liked how the storage area and truck docking was set up for moving into storage. If it wasn't for that we would give 1 star

Lois S | Expérience généraleManager at the front desk was very rude throughout our entire experience when we went up to discuss lack of lighting and the lighting not working as we were trying to park. Also, power access was only for 2 hours which were inconvenient times for our vehicle. We escalated the lack of lighting, power and security to the manager who was extremely rude to us. We then escalated the matter to a higher up manager who contacted us and spoke to us, but never provided a follow up to our issue. We called back three times to speak to the higher up manager and did not receive a response. Very poor customer service and as a UHaul customer for over 10 years, I would not recommend U-Haul to anyone in the future. Highly dissatisfied with the service that we received for the expensive price that we paid to have our vehicle stored here per month. Would not recommend!
Kiera G | Expérience généraleThe alarm keeps going off when I attempt to enter my storage room. I enter the code at the building as instructed by the emailed instructions from Uhaul. However, I went inside to mention that the alarm keeps going off. But the girl behind the counter in a condescending tone and attitude made everything seem to be my fault without providing instructions or helpfulness to remedy the issue. I was told that I must check in TWICE upon entry to the unit. I was made to feel not a valued customer nor was my question about entry properly addressed.

It was close to closing so he couldn't or wouldn't. Upon arrival there was not one in the unit. Luckily we picked up one along the way.

I had to call the district manager and customer service to file numerous complaints due to the customer service and the fact that I could never get into my storage units even when my account was paid up.. so sad I will never use them again I will not give a good Google review and I told everyone I know how terrible they are.

I called bc there were 3-4 attempts to charge my card for a storage unit I hadn't moved into, I only reserved it. I sent an return email back to Eric Townes directly to advise there was a discrepancy and I no longer needed the unit and in fact, had never moved into it. When I called today, I spoke to a woman that answered and told me she had a customer in store and she'd look up my acct, cool. But then with no notice, this jerk of a GM gets on the line to TELL ME that my card wasn't being charged.. but how would he know without even looking up the acct. I firmly told him he was incorrect and told him I didn't appreciate his immediate rudeness and tone when he got on the line. Did he care? Not at all, he proceeded to tell me incorrect info without having looked up my acct yet. He continues to over talk me and cuts me off while trying to correct him so we can be in the same page with my concerns, finally he asked for my name. I almost didn't give it to him bc sir, we should've started with that first. He says well it says you moved in, but if this horrible example of a unfit GM would've properly and respectfully ascertained the reason of my call, he would know that I never moved in. As I am informing him, he continued to cut me off, says well did I let someone know. Sir, what do you even mean?I let someone know when I DIDN'T MOVE INTO THE UNIT. And I told him I emailed back and there were still attempts of $124 now with a late fee to my card. He is still cutting me off, so I requested to speak to someone else, he says well I moved you out and is that all. I tried asking would he email me confirmation, and he continued to cut me off! If I weren't concerned with consequences, I would been at that location asking him to say all what he said again, to my face.. so I again advised him that bc of how irate he was towards me with no reason at all, I would be calling corporate. His didn't seem bothered at all, basically his tone suggested "call them", no apologies given, no customer centricity at all. And guess what, I did call them Mr Townes, and that disgusting call that could've been a quick one and done, will be reviewed so keep that same energy. Thanks for reading.

It was evident that people had ready access to my unit over an extended period of time and it was not discovered by the staff until I returned to access my unit. The staff, though friendly, seemed ill-prepared to handle the situation and did not have any immediate recourse to recommend.

I wish the front desk would have moved me to a larger unit when they saw the truck I rented and had tried to rent a bigger truck out of concern that I wouldn't have enough room. The movers were great, but they had to struggle to fit it all in. Who needs 13 feet of height??

On 2/16, I went to clean out the unit and remove the rest of my belongings, and they were missing and the unit was cleaned out. I went to the office and they swore that they didn't enter my unit. Immediately after leaving the property, I received a receipt for a "lock cut fee" and a "clean out " fee. Although they told me , they never entered my unit. So they illegally entered my unit, removed my belongings ( which was work equipment that belonged to the State and I am now financially responsible for.) I always dreaded coming into this location because everyone there is extremely unprofessional and made me feel as if I was bothering them AT THEIR JOB. On top of all that, my U-Haul account has been completely wiped. I went to retrieve my receipts to show my payments after the 16th, and I was not able to locate anything. I have reported all of this to corporate and I just hope that they are not as crooked as this location and something is done about this.

I didn't have issues until after the fact, of returning Uhaul truck, and returning keys. Long story short, I returned my Uhaul truck and keys to a lady name SHAY at the front. After doing so, I kept getting notifications from my bank stating Uhaul is trying to take money out for the storage I had. MIND YOU: keys for storage unit was returned same day the Uhaul truck was returned. Keys were returned to SHAY personally. (all the cameras in the store is my witness) I kept contacting them about this issue and PRECIOUS, which is suppose to be the store "manager" seem to not comprehend with what I was telling her. Spoke with SHAY over the phone about this matter, and I was disrespectfully hung up on. She really act like she couldn't hear me over the phone. Pulling up to the store was the next best thing since nobody can comprehend, and clearly didn't understand my English lol. Pulled up and SHAY was present (on the phone at that) waited patiently for her to get off, told her my issue for the 500th time, and she stated that she was getting her manager to handle it. Now you're getting your manager to handle it but yet, I'm still getting emails from Uhaul as if the storage unit was not paid. Yeah ok. She mentioned that she was going to take the card on file off autopay. That should've BEEN done the moment we returned those keys to you. Till this day, I'm still getting emails as if I didn't return the keys in hand to SHAY & it's been 2 months. I will definitely be avoiding this specific store and would recommend anybody else too also. Should have listened to the other bad reviews they have. All in all, the manager isn't managing, and the other associates are unprofessional (Shay) and just give ghetto. ZERO STARS!

Then to arriving at the storage facility being told nasty there was no room for us and we could not leave the auto transport there even though on my contact it stated that. Then to finding out we had 2 storage units at the end when we crammed everything in one unit. We had broken dishes as well as being overcharged. It has been a disaster using U-Haul and the U-Haul on Mechanical Blvd in Garner was the worst. The employees were rude nasty did not communicate for nothing. So I would never recommend U-Haul to anyone. We were very disappointed we did a big move coming from NJ to NC and it was an issue from start to finish. Even after I checked out of the storage unit they still tried to charge my card for August payment when we moved out in July. It is awful.

There wasn't enough room for all of my stuff that fit perfectly in the unit I rented in Boone with room to spare so clearly the two small rooms do not equal 13x15. The worst thing about the move-in though was the fact that you only have three very small carts for the whole facility for people to use when there were a lot of people trying to move in that day. What should have taken us an hour and a half to unload took all day because we had to wait for one of those carts. You need to provide large carts (3'x6') and a lot of them. You need at least 20 to 30 carts for that size facility. Do better U-Haul! We know you can afford to buy and provide those carts! Also, deal with the humidity in that facility. I would not call that climate controlled when I have to worry about my stuff getting wet and growing mold in that humidity. I will wait until after I move out to post my Google Guide review. I want to see the condition of my stuff first and see if the humidity does damage anything.

It did not tell me there was a different location for the climate controlled units. Once I finally found it, there were three keypads and no signage saying you have to sign into a specific one first before entering your PIN into a secondary pin pad.

We walk into the facility to look at the small closet they have available and see other large units empty and ready for rent. And they closed for the day. A refund was provided. Darrell F | Expérience généraleLarge portion of vehicles being stored extremely run down. Few spots had more equipment than would fit resulting in unsafe and in the way overhang. Vehicles just parked in driving lanes rather than actual spots almost like an overflow lot. Electrical outlet would trip the GFCI constantly making it unusable. For over 1/2 our rental period the keyless fob was unavailable. Needed to pay extra for 24 hour access even though it's listed as included in sinage. Monthly fee has increased twice in 1,5 years with no added benefits. Overall, this location has been poorly managed and I've been trying to find another place to store my RV almost since I moved in. I'm paying much more for a different site but it's got reliable 30 AMP electric, the spaces are properly divided and they keep up on overhang and make sure access in and out is guaranteed. Gates access is also 24 hr included.

The manager intentionally disconnected the phone (hung up on me) after calling me at 6 am and I told her I didn't know where the rental key was. (My husband did the drop off). I stored my items here for quite some time and every time I came in it seemed like every employee was so unhappy to be there. Some were even just as rude as the manager. I would not recommend this location at all. The only reason that I did rent with them is because of the size unit available and convenience of proximity.

First I was assigned a unit that was already in use. That took 30-45 minutes to sort out and correct. I asked and was told more than 3 times that there would be a lock in the unit. (Both times I was assigned a unit.) When I finally accessed my correct and available unit, there was NO LOCK. Now I have been on hold for almost 20 minutes, waiting to confirm that a lock will be readily available for me today, 2 days after my reservation start date. I am still using this unit and you are taking $$$ automatically from my CC Company. I can never get a straight answer from anyone as to why this keeps happening. I'm told that the person sending the emails "cannot be found" and no one at the Garner Facility EVER answers the phone. Even this comment, right next to it says that I am "moving out". Again, I am NOT moving out so please stop making me crazy. I have visited this unit weekly to add more items, and when I go this week to find my unit empty - - we will be going to court, as I have every month of paid receipts. Also - - clean up the Roach problem - please.

Much too far away from entrance and single elevator that had to be shared with other tenants. Whose brilliant idea was it to put a 10 by 15 on the second floor hundreds of feet from elevator?!There were several people using the elevator. it would have taken us hours to unload, wait for elevator and get to unit and unload. The elevator cannot be locked out so we would have to load and unload one small cart at a time. Extremely poor design and planning on U hauls part. We abandoned the unit and went to a place with drive up access and had to pay. Free month was worthless.

No way to lock it out to load or unload. . Indoor storage gets an D- from us. We didn't use the free month and went to a place where they had drive up and gladly paid.

All other spots were full, had to park along the drive with no cover.they told me they were going to have the car towed, never happened. Came and got my trailer 1 week early went in and told them I was picking it up and that I was done with my rental. Just recently received a letter stating that I was late on making my payment for the next month and if I did not pay,with a late fee, that it would be sent to collections! Called uhaul explained the situation and she told me it would be canceled and she would send me a email confirming the cancelation. Have not received a email as of yet! By the way I told them when I reserved the spot it was only for 1 month.

When i was checking out i was informed and noticed a complete change in attitude and management was taking place so it looks like things are moving in the right direction. However, this wasnt the case when i moved in around October of 2021. I was told things were really bad by the new personal, due to management issues and i understand things can be hectic but i believe there is a common ground that all personnel should be expected to adhere too in the absence of a General Manager. What i witnessed and went through should not happen anywhere. Im a returning customer with U Haul and every place seems to be the same and i can count on how things are ran and up till this facility things have been spot on. At first i thought it might of been an associated storage using the uhaul name and having "their own way of doing things" but no this was a full blown Uhaul store. From reserving to actually paying for my unit ahead of time so i knew it was there for me as i was making a long distance move in a 26ft truck i needed everything to work in my favor and expected it after dealing with uhaul before. After driving long hours I walked in and they said my unit wasnt available. Which i thought was odd since they said they "put eyes on it" not only did we reserve the unit weeks ago we paided for it to be there to permanently lock the storage as we knew availability was limited.. after and hour of waiting and witnessing how lazy everyone was. They got it figured out. I also bought an outdoor storage that wasnt even available due to the "previous manager using it for personal things" and you guessed it... it was the only one of the size I needed available.. which is why we needed the extra two I just checked out of.. I also saw why i was on hold for so long when i called months before. They answer the call put it on hold and let it sit, going back to their cell phones... with nobody even in the store to assist.. Lazy and unprofessional at its best. The storage facility was poorly kept as well. We bought 24hr access to help ourselves.. The dock lights were off all night long, bathrooms not stocked with toilet paper,towels or even soap.. hot water at the sink was pure cold even after letting it run! Best part was they would lock the lock the sliding automatic door 30 minutes before closing, with a key lock stating "homeless people get in". Then when they would open the next day the slding door was still locked until about noon to 1 o'clock in the afternoon. So everyone who pulled up during the day would have to use the mandoor only! I witnessed nothing of the homeless sort as i worked through the night and rested their briefly and worked through the next day. Always kept to myself and was never in anyones way. If the security would be working as it should then even after hours, my 24 hr access should of gotten me into the building through either the man door or sliding door as ive experienced before. Not to mention the person who unlocked the door acted so rudely and bothered like we were "inconveniencing them". The whole facility was very shady to say the least. I hope the new management and new faces behind the workings get it back up to standards. This facility needs it and from what ive seen in the amount of Red access denied tags. They are sitting on a gold mine of late fees. Please reach out if more details are needed.

I made FOUR TRIPS from the storage area to the office because every unit I was given was occupied. The truck I rented transmission was slipping so bad I thought I was going to breakdown. The older white lady with the short hair , who I think was the Manger was more concerned with smoking cigarettes instead of assisting the ONE employee who was trying her best to accommodate a full lobby. This young lady was a new hire and was placed in the most horrible position. I usual go to the hwy 64 location on New Bern Ave. They are OUTSTANDING!! Professional, friendly and helpful. After my one month of free storage is up, I will NEVER come to this location EVER AGAIN.

Not purposely placed. Just debris from his jobs I am sure, but it remains a problem for someone pulling a trailer. Nails are being spread all throughout the storage lot driveway.

When I got to the facility to pick up my truck I was told that there was no truck available and they would have to call and find me one. I was told that there was a truck at another location. Maybe I am a little stupid but good customer service to me would be for someone to drive that truck to the garnet location to where I was waiting but no I was told I had to drive 9 miles in my persons vehicle to go pick up the truck (it was actually 11,7 miles). I also asked the employee at the garner location why there where no disc locks on the 2 doors that I had on my storage building and he said I had to bring my own locks and looks. When I told him I booked online and hey were supposed to be included for free he provided me with 2 locks. I love 2,8 miles from the garner location which is why I booked there. I wasted almost one hour of my time driving to Raleigh to get this truck which means I will waste another hour driving back to Raleigh to get my car on Saturday. I asked the lady at the Raleigh location about the miles and time I had wasted and she gave me the weekly mileage rate instead of the weekend rate. I find this unacceptable. I feel like I should have 23,4 free mikes to put on the truck because that is the distance that I am forced to drive getting the truck that I did not plan on. I would also feel like I should be reimbursed fir a gallon on gas that I am having to put in my car to drive there and back that was not part of my booking. I also feel I should be reimbursed a few gallons of gas that I am gonna have to put in the uhaul truck that was not my plan. I also feel I should be reimbursed somehow for the 2 hours on my wasted time. I am moving into a different house in 2 weeks and will need to use another truck for the move. I am very nervous about trying to use this I haul again. Moving is stressful enough and my experience with you guys has only made it worse.

I know I was doing it correctly, because the "temporary" code I was given the first day worked for the first couple of months. After that, I was fortunate enough to get there when someone else was entering. The next time I tried and no one was there, the office staff finally gave me an access card that worked.

Worst, he took the key from me and drove the truck in front of building like racing on track and almost smashed a poor man who was pulling in front of him (see your videos from cameras). When I asked about manager, he said go inside and wait and he is way to busy to worry with me. Mocked me when i asked if my check out was completed and said look at trucks that I have to do and brushed me off. I have rented storage for over two years and sometimes two at ones. Rented multiple trucks for me and business but never expected that rudeness and dismissive/abuse to customers. The manager (Ms. Tyndall) was very professional and courteous but I refuse to do business with this location in future and would not recommend to anyone else because my experience with the employee (see my return for his name). One final word, there are many facilities that compete for the same services as yours, what sets you apart and encourage people to do business with you again is your customer service and that is completely MISSING with this employee. I called uhal this afternoon to reserve a storage unit that would fit a truck as we are moving and need a space for my husband'struck. We were told that we could rent an enclosed unit at your location that was as big as a 1 car garage. When my husband got there that's when the problems started. At first they could not find our reservation even though we had a reservation number. Then they decided that they would give my husband a unit and proceeded to charge him $200 when the unit was supposed to be free because we rented a moving truck. When my husband pointed this out they did not believe him and made him swear that he rented a truck. Then finally he said he would give him the unit for the free month. When he went to go find the unit it was inside and they gave him no direction on how to get there. Our unit was supposed to be outside so we could store our car. They said they did not have that unit and the only thing they could give was an inside one which does not help us. It took my husband 3 times to get in as they kept giving him the wrong gate code. When he finally did find the unit it was upstairs and the furthest away from entrance that you could get. When he finally got to the unit there was a zip tie on it he had to remove along with a mouse trap and dead mouse in it and cockroaches. At this point my husband had already been there 3 hours and he needed to get back to us to finish out the day. To say the least, we are very unsatisfied and plan on calling the corporate number to speak to someone. This experience has put a very bad taste in our mouth. Please let me know how we can resolve these issues and get the unit we ordered.

I then called a friend to see if I can store my clothes at her house. Spoke with the person on duty and he made me feel as if he didn't believe me or as if I brought the roaches. He did point dead roaches out side my unit and down the hallway. Also the storage facility itself smell bad and has a water leak. I plan to bomb my unit before I move my items out to make sure I don't carry them into my new home. I'm totally disappointed with storage facility

When I came to the unit on 9-2-20 to load my furniture, the storage unit was leaking and the concrete was soaked which ruined my mattresses, TV's and ruined my Christmas decorations that have been in my family for years and the rest of my belongings smell like moist-mildew. I went to the office to see what can be done and he said they won't do anything they aren't liable. I rented a storage unit to store and secure my household goods. I'm so disappointed, I'm looking to seek legal proceedings for reimbursement on my belongings that were ruined.

Richard F | Premières impressionsWhen I called a week ago to resolve a different problem, I was told by the manager, Mike, that if I called ahead of time to tell them when I was coming to unload my UBoxes, into a storage unit, they would have them ready for me. I called Friday afternoon to let them know I would be there Saturday morning. When I showed up, I told the manager I had spoke with him last week and he rudely said, "No, probably not." After assuring him that I DID talk to him, they found my account, and UBoxes. However, they had not been pulled out and ready for me. They said, to give them some time, probably 20 minutes, and we'll call you to let you know they are ready. After an hour and a half of waiting in the parking lot, they were pulled and ready. When I went in, to find out which storage unit was ours (I made a reservation for a 10x20 back in June), I was told that I didn't have a reservation. They had to make me a new one, but they had no 10x20's available. I made the reservation, drove out back to the other building so we could FINALLY start unloading our UBoxes, to find that they were stilled screwed shut. Of course the front desk wasn't answering the phone, so I had to drive back up there to get someone to come back down and take the screws out. I then scanned my access card to get into the storage unit, and it says "Welcome Kailyn." That is not my name, so after we finished loading all of our belongings into the unit I went back up front to tell them. I was told that if I wanted it changed over to my name I would have to come back a time that the manager was working because nobody else knows how to do that. Meanwhile, the whole time the cashier is talking to me, he is spitting into a water bottle because he had dip in his mouth. Overall, I was not pleased with this experience. What should have been a 1-2 hour ordeal wound up being over 4 hours. The one employee that wound up helping us actually retrieve the UBoxes and get the screws out of the boxes was friendly and apologetic (I don't remember his name, but I do know he was finished at 1:00 that day-8/15). Other than him, the experience was very frustrating, and if I had the capability to tow the UBoxes, I probably would have just taken them elsewhere.

I got to the place in Morganton to get my truck and the guy there was rude and did not want to answer my questions and he said he did not want to talk to me the he would talk to my daughter (I am Spanish and my daughter looks American) he should not be so rude and calm my anxiety with the answer to my questions which were very legitimate considering the truck charge was high (he said I was going to be held for $343 but my money will be credited to my card once we got there) I did not understand WHY he couldn't just do the right thing because that was way too much and he said we couldn't return truck back in Morganton but it was really not true. Anyhow, I called the U haul place at Mechanical Blvd. in Raleigh and the guy who answered the phone was not very knowledgeable and he just couldn't even find my reservation. We get there at 3:53 and as told in Morganton but the owner, Mr. Hennessee, we wanted to let them know we were there so the time we got there is recorded an he said I would get $100 back credited for early return of truck. The storage place is busy, the guys Kenneth Perry, says he can help me, but when he is helping me some other people say that they need to talk to him and he tells me to stay there on that register while he helps this other customer because they need help. I asked Why is the other guy not helping because I believe once a customer is being helped then he should finish his work with them and then get the next customer. He went and helped the other people and when he got back to help me, then he rushed because he wouldn't answer my questions and he did not even make sure I was not charged for my first month . He told me to wait at storage unit number given and that he would be there shortly. When we get to the storage unit. I did not feel safe. There was a woman there who says she has 3 storage units and sure she did have a dog in one of the units, she had her blanket, microwave, cheese, food, eating there. She also had all her stuff spread all over hallway and told me not to go by there because she needed the hallway to spread her junk. I told her I did not care and that we needed to unload our stuff because we had been driving for 3 hours and we wanted to get it done. She also took some of our stuff and we had to ask her to give back to us. She looked like she was on some drugs. The alarm went off when we opened my unit and when we tried to close. THUS, they should fix that. Someone should make sure NOBODY is in those units eating, sleeping and with animals.That is not a safe nor good idea. I am scared to go back there by myself. At 6pm, I asked that guy who helped us to please make sure I got my money credited and he gave me a number that is not even UHAUL to call and talk to them because he said he couldn't do it.. Customer service not good at all. What a hassle for me to go through all this while I am trying to move out of my old house , store things and finish my work .
