I was not notified of a change in pickup time and I was not supplied with what I had ordered. I noticed the change 15 min before the scheduled pickup time in the app when I reviewed my order in prep for the next morning. When I arrived, the store was closed early (6:50 pm with a closing of 7 and a pickup at 645) and the employees standing inside did not help me until I called the manager. When they did come out at 715 I was informed they did not have my 26' truck and I would have to get it the next day and would recieve a phone call at 9 am to confirm if it was there. Instead, I called them at 945 only to find out that the customer with my truck had reserved it for several more days and they once again failed to notify me changes to my contract. Consequently, instead of a 26' truck, I was given a 20' truck and a 5x8 trailer in addition to several hours of lost time due to their failure to communicate with me. Also, when I went to return the rentals the trailer was not shown as rented in the system and the monte vista, co dealer was unable to officially accept the trailer.

Horrible customer service. Employees dont seem to know what they are talking about. Managers are rude, so there is no figuring out what's going on. Will never use uhaul again.

The corporate booking was awesome. Towing was good, and trip went well. Figured out how to return trailer by signs posted when I returned the trailer. During pick up, lady at the counter picked up and dealt with another reservation while taking my payment, made me feel less important. I asked her how to return trailer because I would be returning after hours.. While man was hooking trailer up to my truck, a lady walked up, gave him something and proceeded to talk to him. I had to interrupt their conversation to ask if tire on the trailer were ok, they seem old, cracked and deteriorating to me. He said they'd be fine. I asked if they had a spare, and he said that's what roadside service is for. Wires on the trailer were exposed, so I was nervous and kept checking to make sure lights worked. I am grateful the trip went smooth, but the personal customer at the store didn't leave me feeling secure.

I was confused as to why my credit card had such a large hold amount on it? The hold shouldve never been more than the expected milrage and truck rental..228 was held and my rental was only 175...that seems a little high..im not sure i will rent again..may try Penske or another competitor..ive been a uhaul customer for years and dont remember ever paying such a high deposit!

Keep treating customers the way I was treated, I was a little grouchy due to having to pick up a broke down vehicle and the professionalism by the agent made it better for me. He had no idea why I was being short with him. I realized later his demeanor made it all a little better. Good Job Grand Junction UHaul staff!

The desk operator (heavyset dark hair low voice ) was not only unfriendly but seemed unhappy to help. Was grateful to extend my rental to 48 hours but over the phone was rude by talking over me “how many hours, how many hours, how many hours?” As I’m trying to explain why I needed the truck possibly for more than the max. 24 hours. And upon returning the truck seemed displeased having to go check the truck at my checkin step, like I was inconveniencing him. I can understand having troublesome or unpleasant customers but he doesn’t need to treat us all that way.

Nothing. Lisa Haven assisted us with our check in and return. She was extremely helpful, efficient, and sympathetic. We had been treated poorly by a uhaul rep at the 2809 North Ave. location before being switched to 2949 North Ave location. Lisa straightened out everything and set us up with a workable solution.

Make sure mileage is correct. My issue is I estimated 20miles. I got the Van and on paper said mileage was 2094mi . When we did our inspection at the van, it had rolled over to 2095 in the parking lot. When I returned the van, it had 2115 miles on it (20 miles) but I was charged a measly $1.50 for going over my 20mi estimate. (whatever. No big deal) i got the van at 2095 but because it was stated 2094, I was still charged. So pay attention next time. Granted it wasn’t a huge deal so I just accepted it and paid the extra dollar. You won U haul. I would definitely use you again

Be on time for appointments. also, the phone call I made to get the appointment took 22 minutes. Then I received a phone call 2 days prior to the appointment with a message saying to call back to confirm. I called back and was hung up on. I called again and was put on the ultimate hold, so after being on hold for over 6 minutes I decided not to wait and hung up.

This place needs help big time. I worked for U-Haul at this very location back in 1986 thru 1989 and it is really bad now. I was a fleet mechanic for the Pikes who ran the place. They are amazing people to work for. U-Haul corporate needs a new facility in Grand Junction. The population has exploded here. This moving center is out grown and is the only one between Salt Lake and Denver. They desperately need a new truck repair shop to fix vehicles. Same building as when I left 30 years ago. Parking lot is a mess. Filled with pot holes. It was not inviting to me as a customer to come in here and rent equipment and do business with. Grand Jct. is full of nice commercial properties that would make a good new location. The hired help looks a bit sketchy. One dude was supposed to be in early in the morning and did not show up till almost the end of his shift. I know this because him and the manager got into it while I was standing there turning in my equipment. Does your company drug test it's employees? A few of these people appeared to be total meth heads. I spent 34 years in the Air Force. It was the reason I left. It's a good company. I enjoyed working there. Fixing those trucks was very satisfying to me. It felt good to repair them and see them all shiny and clean looking good for a customer. Sadly that is gone now. I have been on both ends of this as a customer and an employee. Moving is a very stressful time for a customer. They need all the help they can get. I have lived it first hand. I would love to come back as a mechanic if they had a newer facility to more efficiently service vehicles. Like I said, This facility is run down, does not look tidy, is old and out grown. So that is my review. Hopefully the right person will see it and do something. Grand Junction needs this place. It's a good thing.

When renting these units we were told there was only one drop off in Grand Junction, the one located at North Avenue. When we returned both the trailer and truck - at different times- we were given the same hassle about were we sure this was the right location, should you be returning this somewhere else. What should have taken a few minutes ended up taking a ridiculous amount of time. The gentleman was anything but pleasant. We will have to rent another truck to pick up the rest of our stuff I will do my best not to use uhaul but I probably won’t have a choice

I ordered a truck for Thursday they called to tell me oh don’t have one. All types of issues. A total failure. Will not use UHaul again can’t guaranteed reservations. Got lied to as they called on Thursday asking when I was picking up my truck, as they did have one. These people were lost!

I had requested a mobile pick up for 6am. When. I got there and tried to use the app to pick up the truck it said it had to be hand delivered and the location did not open until 9am. There needs to be a way to have that communicated if mobile pick up is unavailable when it is scheduled. By time we finally got the truck I had wasted 4 hours that I could have been moving. Had I known that when I scheduled I would have picked up the truck the day before.

Not too much. This is the second time that we used this location and each time we were treated very well. The experience I have ever had with U-Haul. You need to send the ones in Billings, MT ( U-Haul Moving & Storage In The Heights) there to take lessons and implement them. They are the reason that I have not use U-Haul for over 30 years. Grand Junction changed my mind on U-Haul.

I live out of town so when you tell a customer the auto transport will be reserved at 9am be sure its there ready at 9am. As it turned out that morning when I arrived with 2 other guys to help me with what I had to do, the transport was not reserved. I was told the reservation was served as a quote.... I was then that another AT will be reserved at 12:00, the Auto Transport was not ready for pickup at 12:00. We still had to wait another 30 mins for it to arrive. It cost me an extra 150.00 just to feed and pay for my help that morning just because of how well organized this service station is. Not to mention sitting for Hours and hours waiting and unsure of how the day will turn out and what a day already... Anyways I was told I would only be charged 44.99 for the Auto Transport because of everything. And Also I could only use it from 12:30 to 8 pm that day. So now I had to move this car in 7 Hours! I had now went from a 24 hrs plan to a 7th plan..U haul put me in a very very bad spot..not only have you made it very I'm safe for me to move this vehicle because of the time restrictions you put on me BUT the Auto Transport was brought back by 8pm that night like requested by u haul and by 7am the next day my Debit card was charged 3 times the amount I was quoted on paper (44.99). I was billed and Charged 112.?? ....I was told I was apparently billed for 2 days and that "It just happens" Well it just happens that UHaul pulled that money out of my account which cause a lot of other costly problems for me financially. A chain effect of problems because of everything u haul had done for me. Thank you very much for such a disastrous day. Oh then when I ask for my money back I was told I had to wait 24 to 72 hrs to get My Money Back. Funny thing U haul took it from me in less than 24 hrs.....I ONLY HAD THE AUTO TRANS PORT FOR 7 HRS. I WAS CJARGED FOR 2 DAYS . THEN AFTER TALKING TO A REP I WAS CHARGED FOR A FULL DAY.. 7 HRS IS WHAT I ENDED UP WITH BECAUSE OF U HAUL. THANKS FOR your service And for taking my money and really costing me much more than I could have ever imagined. Steve Schwieters

U HAUL HAS A CALL CENTER THAT DOES NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. I called in the evening to rent a truck and they sent me to a city that did not have a location. I had to drive another hour to a "remote" location that does not have a representative there. They leave the truck with a lock. You have to go online and fill out information to get the lock code. The remote town was truly remote and my phone internet didn't work. I was supposed to pick up my truck at 8:00 a.m. After all the hoopla, running around, call after to call pleading for someone to help, I finally got someone that would "bend" the rules and got me the lock code. I pulled out of the "remote" town at 2:00 - 7 hours from the time I was supposed to pick up my truck!!! And thank goodness it made it, the person I had with me is a car mechanic and he said the transmission was acting up!!! If you cannot call during times when the location is open, don't trust the after hours!!! They caused tears and much frustration!!!
