Give better hands on on training for new employees. I was over charged for gas and they had difficulties refunding the over charges and tried to short me $0.80.

Provide an accurate measurement of the starting fuel level initially rather than expecting the customer to verify that it is entered correctly. Provide more accurate dimensions of the truck's storage capacity. One would think a 17' truck would actually have the full 17' length of storage space available rather than 14.5' with a small 2.5' cubby above the cabin. The only positive of the experience was the representative's friendly personality.

U-haul changed my reservation twice before my move. I arrived at this location (which was NOT my preferred location) and they did not even have my reservation in the computer. I was promised a free day and a lower mileage rate. None of this was to be found in the computer. Thankfully, the worker Whitney was very kind and knowledgeable. She was able to provide me with a better rate and discount. I was very frustrated but she was able to turn it around.

Check the contract completely. The windshield wipers were frozen to the windshield. The cargo door latch wouldn’t move, had to use a hammer to get it to move and try to open the door BUT The cargo door was frozen shut

The truck was clean and in good operation, but I was left with almost an empty tank and thusly couldn't see the odometer reading for the check-in process. I had to put in an extra quarter tank of gas then I used just so I could fill everything out.

I have rented from Uhaul many many times in my life, and regularly the cost goes over the quoted price, which is frustrating, fraudulent and why I always get a quote from Penski first. For the first time ever, "Mike" at this Uhaul actually stood by the quote price given. This is the kind of service that will bring me back to Uhaul every time. Bravo Mike!~Tracy

My experience was as perfect as it could be. The gentleman who took care of my rental information was fast and specific, and listened well so I didn't have to repeat myself. He connected the trailer I rented very quickly but also in the correct and safe manor that it was supposed to be connected.

The checkout equipment on the desk was not functioning correctly which was frustrating. It was not the associates fault I believe just older used computer equipment. The associate was helpful friendly and took care of any questions I had.

The website assured me that i was getting the truck that I ordered but the reservation was modified without my consent and no one called to me that it had been changed. The website should be altered to show whether or not a vehicle will be available on a certain day and if it is not or if the reservation is changed, the customer should be made aware.

I cannot recall the name of the guy working, but he made it a horrible experience customer service wise. Once I was next in line he called his “girl” to tell her what he wanted for breakfast. He did not take me to the truck I rented, which was in located out of site behind the building. I scheduled to rent the truck from 9am-9pm and he told me to bring the truck back by 4:15pm because his shift ended at 5pm. I will never go back to this location again.

I picked up the truck and was told it was 3/4 full gas. It was not. It was a little over 1/2. I didn’t want to go back in so I took a photo of it with the mileage proving that it was 1/2 at the mileage starting out. I filled the tank and returned it at 3/4. I would of returned it at 1/2 but overestimated my gas. I told the return clerk about this and she asked her manager if I could be reimbursed but he said no. That isn’t fair. The clerk at time of check-in was absolutely fabulous! He really was great at his job and I told him so.

My reservation was made in person at the Lawrence Wisconsin location, 6 days later I get a call from a UHaul representative saying that the truck I reserved would not be available but I could have a smaller truck and pick it up at the Main Street location. Which is farther away from my house. Apparently taking reservations and keeping reservations are 2 different things. That being said, the young man who helped me at the Main Street location was great to deal with. Just displeased with the up front chaos.

The vehicle worked great and helped me get the job done for a fair prices, so in general U-haul satisfied my needs. That said, the experience is pretty terrible. - Reserving the vehicle advertised 1000 things I didnt want, almost making me look like they were required and almost caused me not to reserve because I couldnt figure out how to continue without buying one of the upsells. - When I did reserve, I entered a mileage guess but it was not clear to me that if I guess high I wont be charged the extra, but rather the actual mileage. It was not clear to me if I went over my estimate if there would be an associated penalty/fee outside of the normal mileage cost (which if there is that would be shady, and if there isn't then please reassure me) - The fact that I had to replenish fuel in the vehicle was difficult for me to find, so much so that I anticipate this is a scheme by U-haul to be able to charge extra fuel fees on return. - The disclaimers I need to sign in order to get the vehicle in the first place make me feel like U-haul sees me as a likely criminal, and caused me to shudder at the thought of dealing with U-haul if *anything* were to go wrong with my rental. - And quite possibly the most strange part of the process is that the mobile check-in capability required me to go into the building to get a key from the attendant - if that's the case, then what is the point of mobile check-in? All in all, the experience was (in my opinion) quite terrible and U-haul should be ashamed at how bad it is. I'll be looking for an alternative next time I need to rent a moving vehicle.

When I went to return the trailer I was having issues accessing the app. When I called the pick up location (because the drop off location was closed) whoever answered the phone was extremely rude and no help at all. I don't know the guy's name, but he had ZERO customer service skills and caused me more stress than I already had.

I had a terrible experience with UHaul. The truck that was turned in was a broken one. I got another truck but my contract was messed up. I had to call customer service several times to get everything straightened out. It was never fixed but luckily the manager at the UHaul in Ohio was able to fix it for me.

He entered our information on the wrong reservation, but assured us it was gone when he hit cancel, not very comfortable. He entered our information again but said the computer rebooted and he had to enter again. Very uncomfortable for us. Felt like scamming. Also the call in reservation was very bad, felt like they were asking ridiculous questions and nothing they asked seemed to matter when we picked it up. Note, reservation was done by me, a female, when we picked it up (myself and a guy) none of the crazy questions were asked, even though I had not answered all of the questions correctly and had received an email saying my answers were wrong. He never even asked what we were driving. Why do you badger a female with dumb questions when renting a 5x8 trailer, which, even though I had asked if inner dimensions were 5x8 and was told yes, it is a few inches less than that. Could have been a big deal for us. You did not ask anything when a make was present. Not a good customer service

I made my reservation two days before I went there. I called the morning of to verify that everything was in order. I was informed that it was. When I got there (1230pm) they did not have the reservation for the truck, only the dolly. By 140pm we were able to get a truck and appliance dolly. We were informed that we would be compensated for the trouble. We had the truck and dolly back by 330pm. We rented a storage unit at the same time. The employee did not know the locations of the units, and we walked around for a bit before locating the correct one. The code we were given was supposedly the correct one but the doors didn't open for it and we were told that it would be looked into and we would be contacted (never happened). We got the truck unloaded and when we dropped the papers off the gentleman was on break and said he would take care of it once he was off of break..Since then I have had emails, phone calls, and additional chargers to my checking account. I supposedly never returned the truck. Then accused of not returning the dolly. I've spoken with whom I assume to be the district manager (Kevin) and he stated that the additional charges would be dropped, after I explained that I was returning phone calls and what I was told by the employees at this location. Since then more charges have been added. I am currently waiting for the charges to officially post to my account where my bank is having me come in to fill out fraud papers. Seriously, how can they not look at the cameras that are plastered all over that place before they accuse someone of keeping a truck for an additional day/s. We weren't the only ones having issues that day. Several customers that were before us were also struggling with getting what they paid for. No accountability from the staff. Blaming other departments. They really need to get better training and better communication.

Shorten the time it takes to pick one up. The gal at the counter kept answering phone calls while I was trying to pick the vehicle up. They, you charged us $25.00 for "Cleaning" when we swept it out twice, and had no cargo of dirt or otherwise. Ridiculous on an old rental truck.

Equipment was great. Service poor. Too few people at desk when I picked up car and returned. Agent put down on contract that the fuel tank was full. I did not check that out before I left but later noticed it was only 3/4 full. I drove about 36 miles, but when I filled the tank before returning the truck it cost me $29/11.7 gallons. The attendant seemed a little confused when I complained. He finally got it and reimbursed me for the gas. Still a little my fault for not checking it out before I left the lot, but still a little irritating that it happened in the first place. Thank you.
