I have used the Hendersonville U-Haul several times, and each time I have received excellent customer service and left feeling like I will use them again next time I need a truck or trailer (have rented both there) and in fact, I do keep coming back and having another good experience!

U-Haul representatives in Nashville were excellent and helpful. The supervisor, "Marcus", in Rancho Dominguez was not. He changed the agreed upon delivery date and argued that he would not consider the delivery date I was assured. The ladies who delivered the boxes were very professional. That said, I will never use U-Haul again.

I really do not have an issue with the West Main St Hendersonville location, but I don't see an option to rate UHaul Corporate. Within 10 miles from leaving the location the truck broke down. Several hours later I got confirmation that roadside assistance had fixed the vehicle. My issue is that after waiting 20 minutes on hold, I finally get to ask if I can drop the vehicle off at a closer location after my move due to worry that it would break down again. I was told that I would be charged double and there was nothing they could do for me. So, according to UHaul there truck can break down, causing issues for your move and there is nothing they can do to help. I will not be using UHaul again.

I didn't have any problems with this location. Staff was friendly even though we got charged extra mileage. We also got charged gas which I knew would happen, but it would've been nice had the location we picked the truck up done a walkthrough with it and showed us where the meter was. Overall this is the 2nd time I've rented from UHaul and the first time completely messed us over not confirming in the system and having nothing available anywhere for us to use the day of when our move was out of town. Uhaul has to do better and change the way they reserve so they're not screwing people over on move day. Nevertheless Im done with UHaul and will be choosing a different rental agency from now on when it comes time to move.

The people we worked with there were unfamiliar either with the computer (misquoted price), billing (charged for misquoted price and for actual charge). Can’t get any help when calling there. Put on hold for 10 minutes and 20 minutes. I will keep trying until I get my original charge removed. Maybe they are understaffed for amount of business that goes through there.

First of all I was misinformed regarding the pricing of the use of a traitor going one way, versus 2 ways. I saved myself over $100 by calling back and questioning the pricing. Drop off was a nightmare. We were unable to drop off after hours, no one answered the phone and had to very inconveniently return early the next morning and still had to leave it and hope for the best. Very poor customer service and hope we never have to use them again

Truck had no A/C ,cab was filthy and insect infested,cargo area had grease all over the floor, door and latch did not operator smoothly. The tow dolly had a brake light and a turn signal that were not functioning. I also had to pay 10$ to have someone show me how to mount my car on the tow dolly and then he mounted it improperly, luckily a more experienced employee was walking by and redid it. I also rented 4 dozen blankets and only received 3. I have used this location numerous times and this is the first bad experience I have had.

UHaul has a serious issue with their customer service. Tried for 3 days to reach someone but gave up after being on hold for over 10 minutes. Finally reached someone but was told they couldn’t adjust my rental time period and would have to transfer me to a scheduling manager. Was cut off 2x during these transfers. What good is customer service if they can’t help resolve the issue. Finally reached a scheduling manager by dialing direct and was told they couldn’t adjust my rental after it was picked up. Said they would note my account and it would be adjusted at drop off! Why didn’t the person in your customer service department know this? Very frustrating, wasted a lot of time and will rent from a different company in the future.

The truck was in poor mechanical condition. It ran poorly misfiring and at times made me fearful a breakdown would occur. It guzzled gas at about 5 miles to the gallon. The return/drop off in Panama City Beach was unprofessionally handled. The attendant was difficult and made for an unpleasant experience. We were not refunded the insurance as told by general manager in Hendersonville TN that was due back for the transport we did not use and returned in 37075 Friday March 22. Additionally, the attendant at 32408 was lazy and had us renter the truck and fold and bag 24 rented blankets as well as bring the dolly out and to him. This attendant also attempted to make issue over the transport claiming we were failing to return it and therefore would not close out the rental agreement. We had to produce documents showing transport was not used and remained in Hendersonville TN. Rather than view the account history on the U-Haul system we endured the hassle after an exhausting move of being forced to resolve his ineptness.

Had MAJOR ISSUES with our reservations...Reservation was made 2 weeks in advance however no truck available when we showed up. we were told we had to go to another location to pick up a truck. Meaning WE had to pay the extra mileage, plus the movers the extra time(standing around) while we had to deal with U-Haul.. THIS WAS NOT THE LOCATION's fault, THIS WAS DUE TO U-HAUL PULLING A TRUCK FROM THE LOCATION KNOWING A RESERVATION WAS MADE and not caring.... the location was told to tell their customer to drive to another city down the road to get a truck.

At pick-up, truck rental was estimated at less than $100. When truck was returned at same location (over an hour earlier than agreed upon) I was told charge was over $150. Reason was first given that I went 34 miles and not 32 (as estimated). When I asked why 2 miles were $50, I was then told original estimate didn't include insurance. When that still didn't sound right, it was finally recalculated and reduced to less than $100. It concerns me that if I had someone else dropped off truck, this overcharge may not have been noticed or would have taken a lot of valuable time to get corrected.

I know it's hard to find good help these days since everyone is working so I get it but when making a reservation all items should be noted as to what was quoted in the original quote. Communication seems to be a problem here. I received a trailer with some non working lights and was told that they knew about it but didn't have time to fix it. No notation was made on the contract. One was a light out probably just a bulb and the other was a missing lens, not good on a rainy day. You never know when a professional shows up on a saturday in weekend cloths, I know I couldn't go down the road with equipment like that. Turn off the phone and fix the junk.

Not typically the kinda guy to leave reviews... Used these guys to move before, and had a great experience! As a musician in the Nashville area, I need a trailer to haul gear for travel dates every now and then, so I always come back here. I'm always impressed by how smooth the trailers ride, and how affordable it is. Guitars, amps, drums etc. always ride safe and secure. Staff is always helpful and knowledgable too.

I first went to the Madison U-Haul, where I have rented a van pretty much every Friday for the past 2 years. But upon walking in, the employees were much more concerned with how fast I would get it back in, and that if I did not get it back in within 24 hours I would incur another daily charge......all this before even looking up my name and even beginning to care that I was a very long term repeat customer. So I walked out, they were not concerned with how they could serve me but rather with the rules. I have never brought a van back that was not in very clean condition. At the Hendersonville U-Haul, I could not get the van I requested, being told that the "Sprinter" vans were not available and actually they acted as if those vans were not available period. So I had the more traditional style cargo van, which is not what I prefer but whatever. I don't expect to get special treatment, although being a very long term, consistent and good customer who brings the vans we rent back in good condition, always. We rent them every Thursday afternoon and bring them back on Friday, although sometimes it is after hours. I rent this for our non-profit, every Friday we deliver supplies to homeless people and their pets, and also those who are housed but living in poverty. Our Fridays begin at 5am and do not always end until 8pm. It would not hurt U-Haul to count me as just 1 day, and it would be a huge help for our non-profit. With all of the turnover at the Madison U-Haul, which is closer to our office, the customer service has gone down hill. This location had some young men who just seemed to truly care about the customers, this past Friday the employees were concerned only about "the rules" rather than the customer. Again, I am not one who comes in with expectations of special treatment. And I try to always be respectful. But it would be nice to be treated the same, with respect also to the fact that SAFPAW spends a whole lot of money with U-Haul. Thank you, Laurie Green, Director at safpaw.org 615-474-8390
