Make sure both cashier's can do all the services people need. I had to wait for 1 particular person to get my storage unit. It took 20 mins which ate into my time with the movers. I had to pay for an additional hour.Ndidi N.

I am disappointed to say that when I tryefvto drop my trailer off to days early to benefit U-Haul by dropping it two days off early I was on welcomed at the return side by a vehicle that blocked the entrance to the space where I was supposed to leave my trailer very uninvitingKirsten J.

The parking lot was full with a line of other uhauls that spilled into the street (and blocking a fire lane). I had to squeeze in and drive slightly on the curb to fit it in the lot. DC is a compact place but if there was a fire at the facility I'm not sure the fire dept would of been able to get where they needed to be. This is the sole reason for the low rating and the reason why I'd never use that facility if I were looking for storage in DC despite its proximity to me; it looks like a fire hazard.DREW EVAN M.
I will NEVER hire the labor through the Uhaul site again! ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I hired helpers through the Uhaul website to load the truck in North Carolina and they never showed up and ghosted me when I tried to reach them, so I had to load the entire truck myself. I was on a strict time schedule, so I drove to DC the next morning to unload at a loading dock at a new apartment building and THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN...THE MOVING HELP NEVER SHOWED UP! They kept saying they were on the way, but never showed. Then said they were there. Then said they would send another crew. Still no show. Then apologized and said they could send a team tomorrow! I waited 4 hours...THEN I HAD TO UNLOAD THE ENTIRE TRUCK MYSELF!!! Uhaul should be ashamed of themselves for allowing these derelict referral companies to represent them on their website. This is not true because the state of DC has a law that allows me to keep this ID until 60 days after the state of emergency ends. Problem after problem. I do not appreciate your predatory insurance policy, where the cost of the damage of a small dent is less than the deductible for the insurance. I paid 50 $for insurance, and returned the truck with a small dent (it isn't clear what hit the truck). The damage cost for a small dent is 95 $but I paid 150 $(200 $including the initial for the insurance). In what world does getting the insurance make the cost of an accident more and not less. It's supposed to "cover" you for damages.KAELA B.

Upon dropping off the vehicle the staff insisted I damaged the vehicle despite my having "disputed" the conditions upon pickup using the link sent to my cell phone. I asked where the photos I uploaded were located and was not given an answer. Luckily I also had other photos that were time stamped at the day and hour I picked up the vehicle. Even then, I was told it didn't match my contract (it did). This took nearly half an hour to resolve and ultimately it was determined the damage was pre-existing.Gary R.

Really poor customer service all around but, particularly, where they give you the trucks. I arrived at the end of the day. the people were clearly on their way out and with no patience to talk to a client. I asked a simple question about the operation of the truck and they couldn't answer it. The truck was quite dirty. In a pandemic you should make sure that the trucks are cleaned before renting them out.Francisco E.

This is by far the best U-Haul location in the city and DC area. I rent trailers a couple times a year for our storage needs. This team was helpful, courteous, and fast. I will rent from them again.Chris K.

Well, I don't have any complaints to this particular location, but overall my recent experience with Uhaul was horrible. I booked equipment at one location, a few days later I got a call from Uhaul representative and was told that they transfer my reservation to another location, which was not far away so I was okay. At the day of pick up, when I arrived to this new location I found out that equipment that I booked is not available, because they don't have it(some other dude did not return it yet, which os not my problem). So I wasted a few hours of my time and finally was able to pick my equipment at another location. I think I've read multiple times on Uhaul website: â€œit's guaranteed or you will get 50 $â€. Yeah, sure, no equipment on time and no 50 $for that - that's what I've got.Iurii M.

The top of my unit which was on the end had a plastic cover that was not secure,You could slide it over with your pinky! Also being as it was an upper unit I had to climb the latter. Your latter's were unstable and old with chipping pain. I NEVER FELT SECURE climbing those latters! YOUR SALES STAFF IS AWESOME!!!! Very very NICE! YOUR STORAGE CONTAINER AND LATTERS are TRASH. The customer service at this location is deplorable. The staff is extremely rude, and the General Manager Osman is very disrespectful and short tempered with customers. I requested a lock cut, as I lost my key and I've had the unit for about six years. He told me that it will be a minute. When asked a time frame he said, "It will be a minute" and walked off. I came back approximately two hours later, and he was still unable to provide assistance. There were two females working when I arrived. One seemed to have an attitude the other barely spoke English. I had asked for a ground floor unit and did not get it. Also the parking situation is dangerous there - only one way in and out and if loading area is full you have to figure out what to do with a 36" uhaul. I was extremely frustrated. Luckily when I came back in a Nice middle aged man ended up helping me and went through my contract. He was extremely helpful. The ladies there were not. Also this is in a very sketchy area. 1. The requirement to use the U-haul sold crescent lock is a scam and money grab by Haul and its dealers. I have had storage units for a decade using my own combo lock and never had a security problem. The idea that the required lock provides better security is a lie. 2. The movable ladder necessary to access my second level space constantly wobbled making it unsafe to access my unit. There was not another ladder available use. this is unsafe and reported to the facility. 3. The storage unit door did not close properly and align so the lock could be easily installed. This was reported as well. It took two of us on a the above rickety ladder to push the door enough so it would align and lock the unit door. Such a basic. Get it right. 4. We were only shown (1) elevator. Lots of waiting. this is a converted 3-story warehouse and if another elevator exists we were not shown it. More focus on making money and less on customer service by investing in necessary vertical transportation. Really not sure I'm not going to move back to the Cube Smart a few blocks away. I made the move to U-Haul because I already rent trucks from here and thought it would be more convenient. Was not the experience I had at all.Andrew M. | Premières impressions

You made me run around between stores and the pick up of my trailer. Speed of service is not in your delivery language.
