It was raining the night we picked up our equipment and we were just pointed in the general direction out in the lot of where we could find the truck. When we did find it, the truck had trash in the cup holders and under the seats and less gas than what had been noted on our rental agreement. When we returned the equipment, we were charged for additional gas and a gas service fee even though we returned it with. more than what had even been noted on the agreement. We immediately called when we received the final invoice for those charges and were told that nothing could be done because that equipment had already been rented out. I took a picture of the gas level when we picked up the truck to show it had less than the 1/4 tank they said it had but not when we returned it because it had considerably more than the 1/4 tank. Terrible customer service when I called to request a refund for the fuel charges and basically told I could file a complaint with U-Haul corporate but the local office refused to help.ashley M.

the key was not in the lock box, and as of 7:15 no one had showed up for work so i never got my rental van. then i was still charged for a 1 day rental and when i called to get it refunded i was transferred 3 different times and kept on the phone for 47 minutes. this was the worst customer service i have ever received.bobby H.

I was told false information about when to return the rental truck by at least 2 people. The first on the phone when I made the reservation and the second in person at the pickup location. I learned that a mistake had been made when someone from the dropoff location called to inform me that she charged be $40 dollars for keeping the truck an additional day. There was no warning or check to see if I was nearby, not that we were since we hadnt planned on dropping it off till that night based on what we were told.MATTHEW M.

Was not acknowledged by the staff when I came to return trailer. I ended up just going back outside and using the app to drop off. I don't mind that but staff should be more aware of customers waiting and be attentive to help.DUSTIN B.
We had 2 loads Stephen at mindful movers is excellent. He unloaded both loads thank goodness. The people who loaded the first house in San Diego didn't use any pads and loaded with no time nor reason. Our stuff was a mess. The second house in murrieta was packed then canceled. We had to wait 2 more weeks for it to arrive. Uhaul reduced the cost of move to make up for it, but boy what a hassle. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful and Stephen at mindful movers is a real professional.Stephen S.
Maintain your equipment better. The tires on the car dolly were flat. The shocks and brakes on the truck were very worn. The brakes to the point it was very hard to stop.Sheryl N.

The uhaul truck stated it had half a tank of gas and it only had a 1/4 tank of gas. The uhaul car trailer had a broken tire strap. This is frustrating as all safety and function related items should be checked prior to issuing equipment for rent. After I found out there was an issue I wanted on the phone for 45 mins. The road side assistant stated it couldn't be fixed after the road side service personnel told me in person he could go to a local uhaul dealer and remove a strap then install it on my trailer, she told me I would have to wait until 9am the next day. I was frustrated and hung up on the assistant, she called me back 5 minutes later and told me she could have it fixed. She ended up telling me she could have the tech do exactly what he told me after I told her that. It was a painful process, let alone I was up until midnight dealing with it.Mark K.

The people were not personable at all. They didn't tell me that I had to have a certain type of lock on my storage unit. I put my own on there and came back the next day, they had put their own lock on there and didn't give me the keys untill I paid for the lock. No warnings that they would be putting a lock on there. Always have the truck at the location the customer requested. This location made me have to drive 10 miles farther than the location I requested. And this location allowed me 368 miles where I was originally supposed to get 386 miles. I had to pay for 6 miles over my allowance. That shouldn't have been and if miles or location of pickup had been what I requested I would have been more satisfied with the experience. Truck did just fine, have no complaints about itMichael M.

They fried to charge me for 2 days and I had a 6 hr rental then the manager who refused to speak to me on phone wasn't gonna give me my cash deposit back. It was worse customer service experience an the poor girl at at the counter got put right n the middle ah the manager wouldn't even let her speak w me sitting right right there THIS manager should have never intentionally ignored Me an CORPORATE needs involved. These folks were great. I cannot say enough good things about them. They took care of me when I made a reservation at on the website at a location that shut down a month ago, but the corporate level folks haven't managed to remove from the booking system, didn't notify me that they were rerouting my reservation, let alone where I should go instead. I show up for my rental to an abandoned site with not even a sheet of paper taped to the window to tell me where I needed to go.James C.

When I got my Uhaul the engine light was on when I started it up . I was concern about it so I went inside to inform them and they informed me that they had just did maintenance on the Uhaul and the workers wasn't able to get the engine light to go out .My option is that if you have this problem to remove it out of your fleet of vehicles until the problem was fix . Due to fact my reservation were all screwed up. Then it took us 1 1/2 hours to get it all straight and finally left. On my return trip they closed at 7 I had called to say we would be there by 7 to 715 and he said it was ok I arrived at 705. He was still inside. He motioned me over to the door. As he came he told me to check in online. I explained to him because of phone completely dead. I did ask him if he could get on his phone and checked me in. He said he couldn't ., wouldn't. So he left me in this bad part of town ,no way to get ahold of anyone. He didn't explain I will be needing pic of the miles and the truck , and pics of truck and trailer . Then he just left me all alone, no way to call anyone til my ride finally got there. I was scared being alone in bad part of town at night. He didn't offer me a chance to call and see if my ride and when was coming. I cleaned truck up and washer windows. My ride got there. I do feel that Your employee could have be a lil more Helpful or at least told me I need pics to sign equipment back in. The lady that helped me was very nice to start with. Other staff members however came up and interrupted us multiple times about stuff that had nothing to do with uhaul or storage. I had ordered moving blanketsâ€¦ they were not ready for me when I was ready to leave. I had to wonder around two different parking areas just trying to put my key in random doors because my truck was in a totally different area then I was told. On top of everything the gas was not at the level that I was told it would be. I went back inside and requested the staff come verify the gas gage was inappropriate, was told to take a picture and I would be able to prove it later and was given no other help. I repeatedly asked the staff to come help me resolve the issue and was basically ignored. I received the text message to verify equipment 10 minutes after I left the property and when I attempted to fill it was told the link had expired.Abe R.
