I added a couple of things to my pickup. When I got my truck, they were not in there, and it was tough to find someone to help me out. The experience was just average (at best).

This was the longest check in process I've ever had with Uhaul. Although I chose to check in at the desk, I was walked through the "self check in" process. Plus, it was somewhat redundant with several of the required actions already done online by me before even coming to the location. Lastly, the truck was up the hill in a back location that I had to walk up to, climb around bushes and shrubs and unable to view the truck at all from the back because another truck was literally bumper to bumper with the truck I rented. This was a terrible experience and the fact that a Uhaul employee didn't get the truck and bring it down for me is really cutting corners too much and made for an unhappy customer experience.

I was told that if I dropped of my equipment and went through the online process to drop of, I won't be charged a fee but I was still charged the fee for of hours drop of. I didnt appreciate that since I wasted about 15 minutes trying to get through it. Additionally, I was charged a standard mileage and didn't get a refund for being below the mileage I was charged. I would have expected a refund for being under since I would have been charged for going over.

I was wrongly billed a fuel surcharge when in fact, I returned the truck with more fuel than I met. The gauge was close to empty, I bought $10 worth, drove 8 miles and returned the truck!

Pick up was a hassle. I was moving by myself, but the location required information that I was not aware that I needed. I had to spend extra time trying to contact someone to verify my identity for the pick up. There were also additional fees and taxes that were not clear upfront when I booked the truck.

I got charged $54,45 for 14 miles of my ride. Please explain how can a vehicle use 10 gallons($54,45) of a fuel for 14 miles???????. Pathetic service. NEVER EVER going to use U-HAUL also will stop as many people as I can from using U-Haul.

My first location did prepare the key. Therefore, I spent 30 mins on the location and I was informed that I have to transfer to another location which is 1,6 miles away. I don't have a car and it was raining. I was either taking a walk or calling a Uber which is 10 bucks. After I got to the new location, there is a truck blocking my reserved one. I went to the counter. I waited in line for more than 30 mins just to ask for a key. The guy behind the counter did not show any respect. I know it was on Sunday which is also unacceptable. And the most ridiculous thing was when I tried to return the truck, the location was full of uhaul vehicles which blocked the entrance and I could not drive in and return the truck! It is the worst experience ever in my life!

We were told we could return the truck to a NYC location and that changed during the day. Driving back to NJ and finding return transportation was a nightmare. You really messed up on this entire reservation.

I waited over an hour and a half past my allotted pick up time for my truck because they could not find the keys and had to retrieve a back up truck from an offsite lot. The truck I received had an issue with one of the side mirrors not properly functioning. It could have caused a serious crash. Despite waiting an hour and a half for the keys, the employees kept ignoring me and I was asked multiple times what I was waiting for. I don't think anyone knew what they were doing.

Inform your employees to be careful not to misdirect customers, I went to 2 different locations and had to wait at one for 4 hours because two different representatives told me contradicting information. Then I was sold on a product I didn't need and told that I could return it if I didn't need it, 24 hours later I come back with it and they tell me it's not returnable. Honestly I'll be using any other company next time, this whole thing felt like a bully was demanding my money in any way possible. 5 Ubers to get to one rental.

When I walked in there were no workers at the desk. After about 5 minutes a young man walked in on his phone and grabbed something behind the desk and left. He did not look at or address me or the other customers waiting. We all looked at each other in shocked. After about another 3 minutes two woman walked in chewing yelling “Who needs help” I was advised to scan a code and do everything on my own. Maybe a customer service training would be awesome for the site.

I had reserved truck and equipment 30 days in advance and still I did get a furniture dolly. The advisor said he will remove the dolly rent from contract but did not do so. I had to dispute the charges. When I went to drop off the truck, there was no sufficient parking at site.

The website let me reserve furniture dolly and when I arrived at the location they said they don't have furniture dolly. There is big disconnect between what they have and what they sell on website. I literally had to buy furniture dolly at the last moment of my move.

My only problem was, I reserved a truck and a transporter in Orange NJ fr Aug 6. And on my moving date Aug 31. I was sent to Jersey city for a truck and Totowa for the transporter, apart from that the service is generally great. Merci.

Picking up the girls working we're so unprofessional. Kept stopping to talk while it was clear I was trying to get things moving. Had zero respect for customer - my size Tru k wasn't available nor was the hand truck. They didn't care. Had to wait 20 minutes for the girl to come out and pull up my truck- complete lack of any customer service- I've rented a lot of U-Haul - this was by far the worst experience ever. Plus brought back with a 1/4 more gas - no credit issued. Need to fire everyone there but then clearly that location just wants warm bodies

No matter when I called or visited the U-Haul facility on Tonnele (maybe misspelled ) I always had a great experience. Phones may have taken a moment to answer but there was an apology for it and the CS was great. But ONG they were always crowded. So I guess that would tell you something about their business. I'm glad I rent my vehicles and storage unit at this facility. Thank you .

they cancelled my first location and moved me to a farther location. I rode my bike to the second farther location. When I got there, they said they didnt have any trucks, person was very rude to me. After sitting on line with customer service they booted me to a very far third location. I politely explained I was on my bike and that location you had to ride along highways to get to it. They told me they couldnt do anything about it. I had no choice but to ride along very dangerous highways to get my truck. When I got there they place was packed and I had to wait. Ended up picking up my truck about 2 hours late. Very frustrating and dangerous experience

U haul experience was terrible. It always is. They never call when they are supposed too. The pick up location was an hour and half out of the way. Do they really think that's accommodating? Then send me to a location that's closed with no way to access truck. Then was on hold for an hour and was transferred to 3 states away that couldn't/wouldn't help me. Finally ended up getting a smaller truck closer to actual location as I'm already on the road driving trying to figure everything out. They said they were going to refund me because I already paid for a bigger truck but no, they Charged me more money!!!!! THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!

The initial check list said that the gas tank was 5/8 full. It was not. It was 1/2 full. I returned the vehicle with the gas 1/2 full but I was charged an additional $24 I thought that was unfair. Otherwise, everything was good.

U-Haul, if you care about your reputation, manage these people out. Nobody there was helpful and they only make their customers more than confused, frustrated and outraged. This is the WORST U-Haul experience ever, which even made me think not to do business with U-Haul anymore until I see those friendly staff on your Canadian branch.

Customer Service over the counter are lacking professionalism. They just let you stand there in line while they are on their cellphone and customers are waiting to be served and just looks up to you and ask what do you need. I never seen such unprofessional sales representative in that manner. And truck they gave me is so old and has so many damages. But yet other customers gotten a better truck than I did. So disappointed.

There is a new guy who works there and is full of attitude. Not helpful, arrogant and mean. The system is taking forever and it was way better couple months ago! Picking up a truck with a reservation it was quick now it takes at least 20min at the locations. You can improve if you have the old system and not this crew at this location! Absolutely unprofessional

This was an overall disappointing experience. I booked a 9feet van and got confirmation as well. When I reached the location, they denied and asked me to take a 10feet truck. Since I had no other options at that moment I had to take that 10ft truck and paid extra for that. Moreover, the mirror of the trucks were loose. I had to take multiple stops in between to adjust them. This could have caused an accident. Worst experience ever, will never recommend U-Haul to my friends and other users.

Originally had the appointment for a mobile pickup at 6pm on a Thursday. Was running late, but knew that it shouldn't be a problem as I chose to pick up the truck via the mobile app and not at the counter. Upon arrival and checking in the app, the location decided to change my reservation to the next morning without notifying or calling me. Once I arrived the next day, I went into the location to just check out the truck VIA THE APP! The attendant gave me they key, but for a truck in the lineup that had a truck in front of it far behind the building. I called the store and the woman stated she would come up the hill to move the truck. 15 minutes went by and I walked down the hill to meet the employee. Another 30-40 minutes went by and the employee finally brought the truck down. Wasted our time and money dealing with this truck rental, when they could've just had the truck ready for us after hours and keeping the original reservation.

What you have to do if somebody's doing the self pick up the actual truck should be located in a labeled area. I was told to pick up the truck at the top of the hill the location had to Hills. Your trucks have USB ports. drop off location should have more signs saying U-Haul. I wasn't sure if that was a real drop off location. There should be a place to hook up a GPS or cell phone.

All staff was so helpful and accommodating. Having moved from California to the area and needing to get things unloaded into my storage unit, the unit was a bit too small and had an obstruction in it that made it smaller. The staff was totally helpful in getting me a bigger unit without any hassle. The units are clean. The only suggestion I have is making sure the loading dock area to the storage units could be cleaned. Had to walk through garbage to and place my things on it to get it out of the trailer. Other than that, great experience. Go Yankees

Very good overall experience, although in a funny moment my wife and I were locked out of our storage unit for a while and when we went to the front desk to ask for advice they said they didn't have any way to assist us, not even having a recommended lock cutter/specialist for the area. Besides this, (probably something that doesn't happen often, hopefully) the people were great and a positive experience overall!

Getting access to the building was a bit confusing - I had to enter my access codes twices on two different pads, and that was not made clear. Also, I had trouble finding my unit - signs with where numbers are located would've been helpflul. But, still an overall good expderience.

Shante was amazing. Took the time to really help me out numerous times while I was moving in. Despite having some issues with the 800 number and inaccuracies of marketing from Uhaul, Shante empathized with me and even though they were technically closed she still had a heart and helped me out. I can't thank her enough for her professionalism and seeing me through til I was all done. Thank you!!

I am Totally Not Happy with my experience this far with the storage unit. I booked a "15 truck for 2days and the storage following and it's been a total nightmare since. I booked online for "Immediate" Access I have not had immediate access yet. Someone has to assist me Every time the last 4 times I was there. Now I'm given a pin number to Access my unit. I first had a pin via online set up. That didn't work. I was given a card. That didn't work. The card was switched. It STILL didn't work. When I left that it was magically working. Returned yesterday and it wasn't accepted. Now I have a pin number again.. when I ask for assistance the staff are not detailed and seems they don't want to help. They are not too friendly nor are there smiles. Everyone spear angry or tired. The ONLY worker who was Awesome and Always smiling , and wear a name tag. is the maintenance worker Gwendolyn who was very helpful assisting me. I nominate her for the BEST employee. I cannot wait till I remove my belongings out of this storage I have to walk up to. It's no telling if I will have access when I arrive. I will Never use the storage online service. Ever. Nor at this facility. I will stick with the truck and motorcycle trailer as I have used in the past. This should be Free use of this storage after booking a truck for 2days and now the ongoing nightmare with this onine storage. I don't know what to expect when I return. I will be sending out a few emails after reading the fine prints this afternoon regarding this Experience. I need to know what am I paying for. And why am I still experiencing an issue which should have immediate access to. It's not being explained nor I being accommodated for this.

Staff, service and location are all great. Champagne helped immensely and everyone at the location was friendly and attentive. The location itself is great with very competitive rates for the area.

The helpfulness of the staff at this site was the only redeeming feature of our U-Haul storage rental. For unknown reasons our contract was cancelled and was a nightmare for us. We had to sign up for automatic withdrawal of payments several times. Also, we always had problems accessing our unit via the cryptic sign-in procedures. We always had to ask help at the office. We moved out in frustration.

This U-haul is under new management and what was already good got even better. The staff seems happier, more friendly and helpful. The floors were just repolished and look great. The units have always been clean, well lit and climate control is the way to go with storage.

The people that work here are a hit or miss it wasn't the best experience at first . Because it was our first time there and we were kinda left guessing. But eventually they helped out and showed us. It was a very just okay experience.

Thank You, I had the storage for about 3 yrs, you guys were great and understanding. I recall about a yr ago my storage was about to go on auction and you guys help me I was able to pay the storage up to date I will never forget that, I had my mother personal items, she had passed away, and I was so scared I was going to loose her stuff. The stairs in the facility are my only complaint, it can be very challenging to get large things loaded in and could be inaccessible for some individuals

Even though I went Friday 8/6/2021 to close it out. We still got charged for it and no one has returned our call or the money reimbursed. The staff seemed helpful and were nice but not happy I got for a storage unit I requested to close.

The autopsy was not registered and had to call back. Overall bad customer service. Every time I call I have to wait between 10-25mins. The staff were not particularly helpful and the website tries to upsell all the extra materials in lengthy different screens.
