I was not given a drop off location when I rented my Uhaul, but if I had been I would have chosen another company to rent from. I chose Uhaul because there were lots of apparent drop off locations near my new home in Virginia. Instead when I called upon arrival I was instructed to drive the van and trailer to a location in NE Washington DC quite a distance away. What appeared to be an advantage (lots of drop off locations) was ultimately a huge detriment.REGINA C.

We signed up to drop the U-Haul off somewhere else but then somehow the computer switched us to this location. So we had to drive an extra 45 min to get to this location and then were charged for drive over the number of miles. Not really this locations fault, more with U-Haul in general.Eric M.

The vehicle I picked up was not cleaned inside, I was disappointed on that as it tells you the vehicles are cleaned and made ready for next customer. The wait to pick up vehicle took a really long time to pick up as only one person working to do that. There was not much in the way of friendliness or customer service as no greeting, no thank you, disappointed in that. I also felt kind of pressured to do extra insurance on vehicle. I feel not necessary on short trips. Dropped off on one way trip bc charges 0,89 cents per mile bringing back second way. That is way high charge. Overall, very unlikely to rent again.Elodie W.

Was informed during pick up that the 24 hour reservation was shortened due to prior reservation - no notice or expectation of a less than a 24 rental period until the last possible moment. The trailer's breaking system was defective because it was so jerky that I thought the hitch had jumped off the ball. I was under time duress and did not have time to argue with the clerk or go back & exchange trailer (unlikely) or travel to another location to pick up.RICHARD S.

I had used U-Haul before using a self device and I as very seamless that it made me want to use it over and over again but this last experience was terrible despite human interactions. I had rented a truck with a toll dolly and I explained to the manager I only needed the toll dolly for a day and the truck for 2days, he said it was fine and he assigned my request. On the same day I returned the toll dolly which was obviously attached to the truck and I went it to let him know and I said what's the situation with the truck as I still needed it for another day, he asked me to go and the toll dolly was detached. To my surprised when I returned the truck another manager was really at my face telling me my contract said I had a toll dolly and I told him I had returned it and he said it as not possible that it cannot be broken and made it seems it was my fault, despite explaining he was very affirmative about it and very confrontational regardless of what I had explained and he said ti should have been done and still made it seem like it was my fault, this was really annoying. If the people at this location does not k know what they are doing why blame the customer? I told him if that was not suppose to happen why are you confronting me like I walked in to take the truck on my own, this was a very terrible experience because he actually scared me out of the location and had to just leave. If I have to use U-Haul again, never will I return to this location and will rather use the self service, thank youAgboola O.

Send out only working trucks! Make sure the brakes work properly. The light sensors should NOT be going off in the truck. When the sensors appear, other lighted information does not appear. Also, integrity is more valuable than anything. When you charge a customer for fuel, it should be accurate. I refilled the tank to the level I used, yet you charged me for a full tank of gas! I explained you have to wait 5 to 10 seconds for the fuel sensors to register because they all start out at zero. It's a pretty cheap trick to take a picture immediately so UHaul can line their own pockets with extra charges!MICHELLE C.

For five years my biggest complaint was employees constantly taking up parking spaces at the loading dock. Unfortunately we had to find out that the Security is a joke as my storage was broken in to and thousands of dollars of work equipment was stolen. U-Haul corporate and this location not willing to help us at all. What good is monitoring every storage unit and having cameras if you're not willing to help the people who get ripped off? The staff needs to be a bit more aware of parking heir personal cars in the shade of the loading dock. I was there for 5 hours, and most of the time on the short side of the dock there was an unused u-haul truck and two employee vehicles, leaving only one available for your customers.
