There was no issue with the delivery of my goods. However there were several issues with the Kingston location which would give me pause to recommend Uhaul to others. I was underwhelmed with the service provided by the Kingston location.

We rented a van and the change oil light came on so, I only got half done that I wanted to get accomplished. Very disappointed and I have to rent a big truck to relocate to Georgia, which is a concern I have since we had the van problem.

First, the starting mileage was incongruous between my paper receipt and the trucks odometer. I did not notice until I had already left on the day of the pick up. Then when I received receipt via email on my final bill, I was charged for six moving pads which I never asked for, nor did I use. A complete fabrication of an add on. Frustrating to say the least.

I just want to say the the young man who took care of me was extremely patient, helpful and courteous. He was alone and quickly checked customers in and out in a calm, friendly, and professional manner. Uhaul would benefit with more employees like him.

smooth truck rental, i was not sure about my personal belongings left in the truck and the manager was kind enough to let me hold on while checking the truck to see if i left my scarf in the passenger seat i enjoyed the experience at U haul and would reccomend it to a friend

I have to express my disappointment regarding the services I received 12/29-12/30 from the Uhaul location in Kingston. The representative at the store, Angel, was unable to authorize my Uboxes to be delivered to the loading location and as a result a truck was issued. I was informed that this was not an error on my part but with the computer system. As a result the movers that I hired and my family moved my belongings into a Uhaul truck for which I was then charged. Furthermore, I was expected to return the following day to transition my possessions into the predetermined Uboxes, which Uhaul assured me should have been available the prior day. This morning my hired movers and my family had to shift everything into the Uboxes in the rain through a patch of icy snow, mud and soaked grass because Angel is not certified to operate the forklift. As a result there is damage to my possessions which would not have happened if the Uboxes were ready and able to be delivered to my originally scheduled location yesterday. One of the Uboxes had remaining debris in it from a prior mover which was both unprofessional and an added insult to injury through the process. Overall the experience was unprofessional and I was never contacted by the general manager despite reaching out to him on his cell the day prior.

The ice on top of the truck shoaled have been cleared off. It was a safety hazard. Also, we did not get the furniture pads we had ordered. The confusion over our reservation was unfortunate, but was not the fault of the Kingston location.

It would be nice to have vehicle available when the reservation has been confirmed. I will never use this Uhaul or anything associated with it again. Completely unprofessional. Disappointing to say the least. Good luck staying in business. You cost me $400 in labor that I will never see again because of POOR execution on your part. Management gets a FAT 0.

I would NOT recommend U-Haul to another person ever - the pick-up was an absolutely disaster - to put it mildly. I demand to be compensated for the time lost and crew payment in my move.

The store where I rented this truck is severely understaffed. At 10:00 on a Friday morning, there was one staffer and he disappeared for 10-15 minutes. Five customers were waiting for service. Ridiculous! Someone needs to step up and bring this store back to the standards they used to have only a few years ago.I use U Haul for my business, all over the region. This one is by far the worst.

The manager or counter person (not sure which) who served me was polite, knowledgeable and professional. Unfortunately, the open trailer was full of snow and it was snowed in where it sat, so he shoveled it out and I shoveled the snow out of it while he hooked it up. (my choice just to help things move along). I think the location was understaffed, but he was great even under pressure! The trailer was well maintained, just full of snow,

Have the gas tank filled when one picks up their truck. My truck had less then 1/4 tank ! I believe the gas gage was not working well when I put gas in the gage never showed fuller tank!

It would have been good to know not only the height of the box, but the height including it's trailer. Had to re-think placement because the spot I wanted it in did not have enough clearance. The guy delivering did give it several valiant tries before we had to go to plan B, and did so with good humor.

Container never arrived at the scheduled time and no one called me. Customer service had trouble finding my account to track down the box. When it eventually arrived it was broken (the bit that the lock attaches to), so I got a repair scheduled. On the back end it was not picked up at the scheduled time, and I was charged for an extra month that I didn't schedule. Everyone was friendly and helped me work it out, and I did get refunded for the extra month. But, it seemed unclear whether this is just typical service? (No one ever exactly acknowledged that there was a problem / apologized for the inconvenience), which left me wondering if this is just par for the course?

We were told to pick up in Saugerties and then had to go further away to Kingston which added on extra miles we shouldn't of have had to pay. We wanted anywhere between Catskill and Schenectady, so Saugerties was already out of the way, then to make it Kingston, it wasn't fair, but we needed the truck that day which was promised to us! Guys at this location, like to make you wait, they are busy talking to each other when you go in. It’s like you broke up their party. They have their e cigarettes on the counter just dying to go outside and puff away, while they make you wait. It’s happen several times of all the places I rent from , and I rent from all the major rental outlets , I brace myself for the attitude when I go in there.

I was not told how to start the truck which involves a key fob with an invisible key. After parking and leaving the truck, I got back in and could not figure out how to start it. I took apart the key fob and tried inserting the hidden key, to no avail. I called the local number for Uhaul and got a global operator. I said I needed to talk to the man who rented me the truck. I was very agitated. She refused my request finally saying she would send him a message. She offered to call roadside assistance and then tried to sell me storage!! What??? After more calls I reached the local office. It was very simple. One has to insert the whole fob. As this is a new feature of uhaul trucks, both the local agents and the national operators should be prepared to inform drivers. Instead she tried to sell me stuff and then wished me a “wonderul day.”
