This location was pretty bleak. The employees seemed stressed and short with customers and they only provided me with 10 moving blankets when I ordered, and was charged for, 12. The equipment was fine, not nearly what I'd consider “clean” but serviceable. The truck also refused to start if the gas level dipped below about 5/8 of a tank. It only added to the stress of moving my stuff.

I called to change my pickup time and waited over an hour on hold before my battery died on my phone. When I did arrive at the office to pick up I waited 40 minutes to pick up my vehicle since there was only one person responsible for the entire office. The customer service was terrible. No way to contact someone ahead of time and long wait times. It had to rush through my moving job to return it before 5pm because it took so long to get my vehicle.

Nothing. Everything was great, from scheduling, availability, service, equipment, reliability. Loved the pickup truck Chevy Silverado. Used it for 24 hours. No problems.

First truck I picked up developed a misfire and had a flashing “Check Engine” light 2 miles after picking up and when I returned it for a replacement I was told I had to pay for the 4 miles I drove it

Tried the mobile check in, filled everything out the night before only to have the location rent the truck I was about to get into right from under me. I had to go inside and start all over. What's the point of mobile check in?

Avoid having to upload driver's license pictures if picking up truck at location. This was very difficult and was not advised prior. Vinny at this location was not very helpful

The interior of the trailer was a bit beat up; but it still worked great. The location was super busy and had some rude customers in it - and the staff was still very pleasant to me.

I arrived 08:20 to pick up my truck and they did not have my truck available or ready for me. It was a huge inconvenience for me. It set my move behind schedule. I feel customer who fail to return the equipment they rent on time should be punished. What's the point of having a reservation if there no truck. Also I feel the employees at uhaul should of called me to let me know my truck wasn't available. So I wouldn't have waisted my time going there to find out there a was no truck.

This experience was a nightmare more likely fault of UHaul dispatching in Albany than UHaul Kingston but I can't sort it out. I had one Uhaul employee praise me for my detailed and explicit with maps and photos delivery instructions. Only to have everyone else ignore them and fail to pass them on. The delivery driver Josh, was terrific, but his superiors somewhere up the line were the problem. I have no idea how many hours I spent on the phone over this, Issues I tried to clarify before loading them in Maryland. They were somehow not where they were supposed to be between Maryland and Albany. Then I tried to give up on having them delivered to Saugerties, just sent to Kingston, and that was excessively complicated. Then when I decided trying to unload in 100 + degree heat in Kingston warehouse was going to be difficult and expensive, having them to delivered to Saugerties seemed ok to arrange -- until all my detailed instructions, praised by someone along the line -- were ignored, leaving poor Josh (delivery driver) up in the air. I recommend that people get rid of stuff rather than move it!

I had to ask several people to clarify information on the rental agreement and the person who served me actually gave me faulty information. Luckily I was able to ask another staff person at the location to clarify and they did so. If I'd not followed up, I would have lost 20 dollars.

The Girl behind the counter was quite rude. She obviously is not happy with her job. When the truck we rented was blocked in by another truck it was apparently an inconvenience for her to move it. Then when she walked behind the truck as my daughter was driving out of the parking lot she didn't even bother to tell us that the back door was open.

While I was pleased with the way the staff treated me, I was appalled at the state of the storage unit. The four was left open when I arrived, which I thought was to ease my move in. However, I quickly discovered that the door was off the rails, and bent, making it difficult to close. Additionally, the unit was absolutely littered with trash, especially a ton of broken glass and ceramics. I expected it would have at least been swept and checked before I moved in. Had I known it wouldn't be, I would have brought a broom to clean up before unloading. The broken glass was a safety issue, and the damaged door is at best disappointing, and at worst will make accessing my belongings difficult.

When I moved out of the unit I went to the office to notify them I was on my due date when I moved out they were trying to make me pay for another month that my stuff wasn’t there they were very young courteous staff I had to explain to them blindly what was happening as far as maintaining those water leaks throughout the building the plywood has water damage and moose I think you need to look at the staffing in the maintenance staff of that building fixing problems and may be Relocate all the staff or re-train in better customer service

Gate was never locked, fence is broken in several areas and anyone could get into the facility at any time. Staff is super friendly and helpful and with the pandemic storage units have been hard to come by. Uhaul did the job. I bought a house and no longer need to unit. Merci!

This facility had one large unit available according to their online inventory, I reserved it, and i paid for it upon arrival. Though there were only two free units left on the lot, the one I had reserved had mountains of garbage in it that had not yet been cleaned out, rendering moving in impossible. I did not move in to a uhaul storage facility, and am unlikely to try again. The staff arranged a storage unit reservation at another facility and that is the most I can say for my experience at Uhaul's storage facilities.

Had a storage reservation for destination point and drop off point after my drive from Florida with a. 4x8 trailer. You didn't hold my reservation and had no space available. I was told that's a problem between your office and customer service who takes the reservation. No. That's a problem for your customers.

Was not told till end of registration that I could not store my car. The paper work was reversed. But following Tuesday I received a late notice for my rental unit. Since the call to the facility was differed to a call center and I waited 40 minutes on two different occasions to no avail. I replied to the late email that I did not have any rental with U- haul Final received phone call from Kingston facility asking me if I had a storage unit at the Kingston location. I replied no I did not.
