I needed to travel to Princeton to load the furniture from my cabin. I asked about studded tires and chains. Was told tires are fine they are mud and snow. Highway 3 is treturous in the winter. We couldn't even stop on a 5 degree slope without the truck sliding. The drivers door weather stripping so the whole drive the door howled. The brakes pulled hard to the left. Very disappointed in service and vehicle up keep. I would think that they would take better care with their vehicles and make them as safe as possible. It was a very stressful trip. Never knowing if we will end up in the ditch or become a roll over.

When I was at the front counter inquiring about my unit, the staff member was not very helpful. I asked where was the unit located and got the answer "I think building 1". When I finally found the unit there was a lock already on the door. I went back to the office and asked about it to the same employee he just looked at me. I said it looks like one of u-hauls locks maybe. He then said well yes I put it there. I had to then ask how do we get it removed, he said well I guess I could go out there in a bit. I left the office and saw he left by another door and was ahead of me. The unit was clean but to have a light bulb in there would be nice. :(

Take time to clean the trucks or check them before renting them out, accurately record mileage and fuel levels and communicate clearly about drop offs. We confirmed to them about our preferred drop off and they assured us that it was fine even pointed it out on the paperwork only for us to get there to be rudely told there are no drop offs at the Yarrow BC location. This was a huge waste of our time and between the don't care attitude at the pick up and the rude aggressive behavior of the Yarrow location we were at the end of our ropes. The only good experience we had that night was where your customer service line directed us to go drop it off in Abbotsford.

i cannot beleive that when the truck is dropped off that there was no one who would do the return of the truck inspection,there for if there is to be money applied to the account if owed how could someone beleive what amount would be owed if any without Proof. you say you will email the invoice but you won't give the client the invoice when the truck is returned. thenyou add on a $30.00 late payment fee..That is totally unaceptable..I would NEVER rent from U haul again nor would I recommend U haul to anyone.. Please send me your respond U haul cuz i am refusing any payment owed if any till i see your respond What ever happened to your professional service???

Arrangements had been made to pick up the unit in Chilliwack and resulted in driver having to back track and drive to Langley. Time was set for pick up and he was advised he was early (snippy remark by U-haul representative).

I only travelled 7 miles but was charged $15 for fuel. That's 10L at the uhaul price meaning the truck had a fuel economy of 2.6 MPG which is not correct. I think the fuel charge should be based on distance travelled and reasonable fuel economy of the vehicle.

The customer reps in the location are all great assets for the company. We booked our truck on such short notice and the colleague at the time was great. At time of pickup, the rep who checked as in was very polite & helpful cause I had issues with the aps. Both times we were in and out of the location quickly. We returned the vehicle ahead of schedule and was checked out with no issues. We would definitely rent from this location again and will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Truck was not cleaned up. Dirty tissues and medicine wrapper in cab. Back of truck not cleaned, we had to remove some debris. Also there was a dolly left in the truck. We did not order one, but returned it at drop off. Finally, could not see out of right outside mirror. Could not adjust it upwards, so saw road below.

I spoke to the person that checked me back in about the truck not even being clean and in theses times where your equipment better be absolutely spotless!! There was a used cleanex and open pack of gum and generally not very clean. Also the back was not clean, I had to sweep out the last persons mess. I'm a business owner and a word of advice, if you keep that kind of lack of quality and cleanliness, don't be surprised if someone turns you guys into the government for not being on top of things during a pandemic!! Not acceptable practice.

I placed order online and choose mobile pickup. When I went to pickup -- took me more than 1 hour to get the truck: first I can't find the truck, 2. It is charging when I found it; 3. They can't find the key for me; 4, when found the key, I can't start the truck, it was out of battery; 5 changed another truck, I took for a long time to find where it is. 6 I don't want the dolly, returned it, they told me it is free for me to use, then I took it. Now they charged me. The staff need more training, and need kindness to their clients!

Your online return system did not work when I returned the truck so I could not take the photos necessary to return it. I was not told I would have to take a bunch of pics when I returned the truck so I went to fill it out about 15 mins later after I could get on the site. I had to guess the kms I used so I have no idea if I over paid or not. I asked for someone to contact me the next day and no one did. The truck was great, return policy is a pain in the ass

Tina the general manager was very rude and unhelpful. I had rented 30 foot Rv spot for my trailer with the idea of fitting a second trailer there at some point 17 months later i realized upon buying a second trailer that my actual spot was 17 feet when i brought this to the managers attention she did not seem to take action after two weeks i spoke with her again only to be told that she can evict me at anytime and that if i am unsatisfied i should take my business elsewhere which i did the new manager was very helpful and i was refunded the difference that i over paid for the last 17 months i should also point out the front desk staff are kind and helpful the only bad apple there was tina but thankful now she is gone no future clients have to deal with her bad attitude.

I am surprised that if I do not have a UHaul app working on a cell phone I am unable to rent. Apparently there seems to be no other way to rent. There is also a rather rude and obnoxious lady in authority at the Langley Branch, BC, who needs to find some manners and learn to be courteous.

Truck was not road ready for the highway. It wasn't until we were fully loaded and on the highway that we were able to notice that the wheel balancing was severely out on the front end. The vehicle would harshly shake over 55 mph. Did not feel safe. Would never rent a truck from u haul again.

I ordered a locker and upon inspection found a dead mouse and numerous droppings within the unit. I asked to have it cleaned and would return in a couple of days to move in. When I returned I was unable to access the main gate and had to return the next day to talk with office staff. I then learned that the locker i had paid for got rented to someone else.

Early yesterday morning before I was fully awake someone phoned, identified themself as staff and explained to me that the storage unit was no longer going to be available o n may 1st when it had been booked for. That there were 2 units available right now and I could only have it if I took it RIGHT NOW. I explained that I needed it for 1 month from May 1st as we had rented a 15ft truck with 2 bedrooms of furniture and were moving from the States to Canada.. We needed it for 1 mth while we were quarantined for 2 weeks on arrival, as per the new Covid Health laws. The staff insisted we had to book the truck from yesterday and if we we late moving our furniture out after May 13th that they would give us a couple of days grace. This is a HORRIBLE situation and we don't know what to do about it. We need storage from May 1st to May31st!!!

I moved in no problem in an hr. Came back a few days later and I didn’t realize what time it was and phone was in car outside and my girlfriend and I were just organizing our storage locker and we lost track of time. It was around 11pm(10pm is closing time)when we finished and I didn’t think anything of it. So we locked it up and closed the door. Got in my car to drive out and tried my code numerous times and it wouldn’t work then we called uhaul phone number provided on google maps and it took an hr to get the gate opened. Finally the staff got it opened and we went home to bed. Next time we went was a few days later and my code didn’t work and it was locked I got punished with a only during store hrs access. That sucked for us cause we both work long hrs and have kids. I tried to talk to manager and she was rude, short and unprofessional with very poor customer service and she wouldn’t bug on the rules. A few more days go by and there was another lock on my locker provided by the manager for apparently smoking and leaving garbage. I called she was rude, short and unprofessional. But also kicked me out with 48hrs notice. Before the end of the month. So now we have to find another place to store stuff for 7 days till we move not very helpful to our already busy schedule. It has really put us in a bind financially and a waste of our time. 1 mistake and 1 cigarette but in the hallway near the door to exit the building and we get evicted. In my opinion this was all due to horrible customer service and a grumpy manager.

Rat or mouse poop was in our unit And when we rented uhaul truck they canceled on us 3x. Manager said she couldn’t help us at all and that we would have to deal with it .
