When I took the my van back, the person working told me that they were closing soon and could not do my equipment return. I arrived 30 mins before this location was closing. I was told to just use the app, even though there were two employees not busy inside the store. When I asked about the process I was told it would take 2-3 minutes. I asked why the could not complete if for me and was told it would take too long. How does that make any sense? I attempted to use the self return app/website twice and got errors both times, wasting about 10 minutes. Then when I went back inside to tell them the app wasn't working, all of the sudden they were able to do it for me. Took them about 3 minutes to complete the return. Had that just happened in the first place your employee would have spent way less time helping me I get that you can save costs and schedule less staff by forcing people to use an app/website, but why would you give people the run around when there are staff there that could help and choose not too. Absolutely terrible experience. We had reserved our Truck months ahead of time at one location that was near where we were moving. Uhaul then changed the reservation to a much further away location which added time to our pickup and dropoff. The Truck Share 24/7 pickup also did not work and took an extra 30 minutes to get our truck. The dolly and furniture carts we ordered for the movers were not there which then cost us an extra $150 as it took the movers more time without the equipment we had reserved.Roger B.

The person Chris or Krish was very help full but the rest of the experience with other staff was very rude with no customer service skills. Sadly, I would not recommend anyone to this location. There was an individual pretending to be a manager and has no customer service skills. We were told that the location closed at 5 pm. We returned the van at 4:30 and was told we had to use the self check out as they have other closing duties to do by 5 pm.Patricia K.

I booked 2 weeks in advance and the night before got a call saying the size we needed wasn't available. Had to make two trips with a smaller truck they gave us. No discount and when I phoned customer service they wouldn't even take the extra kms off that were used to make the second trip. We wouldnt even need the second trip if they had given us the proper truck I pre paid for and reserved weeks prior. Ridiculous.Dillon B.
Nobody called to confirm details of my booking even though the online order said somebody would. I scheduled my pick up location to be in White Rock as indicated on my account and order receipt but when I got there they told me UHaul changed the location to Langleyâ€¦. The ability to speak to and book directly with local office would be greatly appreciated We booked a one way that doesn't exist in the lower mainland We were offered a promotion that we did not receive. Local franchise said they had not control over pricing and would not honorDonna L.
I reserved a trailer, moving blankets, and a appliance dolly. When I arrived, the location didnt have the appliance. They sent me to Transforce 10 mins away to pick up. It was a hassle finding the location, which was unmarked from the street. I had to make 2 U-turns with a trailer in tow. When I checked the trailer, I realized the original trailer attendant forgot to put the moving blankets in the trailer. I had to go back to the first location to pick up the moving blankets. All in all, it delayed my move by an hour from what I had planned. I had zero compensation for all the troubles I experienced.Kin Y.

Never received the initial inspection review email. Checkin was good. I had to put 9 litres gas in for 15,4 km drive @ 24 l/ 100k trip which means that the tank readings are too difficult to deal with on small trips.Darcy B.

The vehicle was all good, but I had lot of difficulties picking up the vehicle. I went to the location it mentioned in the email, and the person told me that I have to go to another location to pick up the van. I had no car, I had used cab to be there, which meant, I had to spend extra money to call the cab and go to next location. Lot of waste of my time and money which left me and my mom really upset because nothing was ready and what could have taken 5min, took almost 45 min to 1 hr. That's way too much just to pick up a van . Not happy with the communication at all. The guy who I met at the initial location was very helpful and offered me a ride. So kudos to him. But overall, I'm extremely disappointed with not having a clean communication about location and address for pick up.AMRIN S.

I ordered my van from my local depot which is 5k away. I received a text to say it's time to do your online booking, but it didn't clearly state YOUR PICK UP LOCATION HAS CHANGED which meant I then had to drive another 10k to go get it. Attitude of staff at both locations was, well if you don't want it it's no problem. No apologies.Colin B.
I would not recommend this Hal site to anyone. We booked a truck and movers on the Uhaul site online. The truck was 90 minutes late. The movies where scheduled for a certain time and they had to wait the 90 minutes.even tho we rented the movers through them they said they the late truck and having to delay the movers was not their problem, we would have to pay them extra because of the delay if needed. Then when we dropped the truck off 10 hours early gas filled and they tried to charge $30 because we didn't fill a questionnaire out at the beginning of the move. The movers were great! your site for check-in sucks. Ended up having to wait in a line to talk to someone because it wouldn't work. Also confusing was the drop off. Your text message said to click the link and take pictures, when I got there a staff member was telling me no it's got to go somewhere else and manually checked in. Very confusing overall. My reservation was moved from Abbotsford to Langley. When I spoke to the agent about the moved picked up location I was told that I would receive a discount for the additional km's that I would need in order to pick up the truck. However when I went to return the truck no such discount was applied and there was no mention of the conversation on my file. Making getting a discount a challenge. At the end of the day the location gave me a $10 credit for the dolly. I was not impressed that this issue occurred after I thought it was delt with already. The location agent told me his hands where tied. It was a trying time after a long day.Jeffrey U.

When answering a phone call, please talk to the person on the other end instead of putting them immediately on hold. That is/was extremely frustrating! If the call would take too long because you are servicing a customer in store, kindly ask the caller to hold. A simple question only takes a moment to answer.Janice T.

Called to change my reservation and the woman on the phone put 24 hours even though I had said I do not need it that long. She said I could change it when I'm there and I still got charged 24 h when I picked up the uhaul and only used it for less than 6 hoursAmanda O.
The windshield was dirty. The app didn't work with my international driver's license. The attendant said that I couldn't rent the car because I don't have a local license, which I know that is not true, and she was not interested in help me at all. It seemed that it was not her problem. The menager didn't want to bother himself with my international license problem at first, but then I convinced him that I could rent the car with it. All the conversation took me an hour. I don't recommend U-Haul for anyone based on my experience.Gabriel C.

Open until 7pm, won't accept returns after 6:30. They say it's policy but there is nothing in the contract that states this. Staff were mopping floors & cleaning up at 6:30. Too busy too help. I reserved a car trailer for 4pm and the trailer was not there. it finally became available at 6pm. this was a very big inconvenience for me. I arranged with 5 other freinds to push a car onto the trailer at a specific time.Scott N.
Staff was very rude. Did not get a phone call or email notification to advise our truck was canceled. Was told no trucks were available after confirming the day before and sending in my drivers lisence. Returned the truck the following day only to see 30 trucks in the yard that hadn't moved since I arrived. Will be writing a Google, Facebook and any review possible to advise people to look elsewhere when needing to rent a truck. Would give 0 stars if possible.Derek B.

I have used this location on multiple occasions. They have always been very helpful & have done their best to get trailers for me. The call centre on the other hand is very disorganized & don't know much. I called them to confirm my last trailer. I was placed on hold & transferred 4 times & was on the phone for nearly 30 minutes. At the end the person had no idea what I was talking about even though I had a reservation number.Terry G.

I called the office to discuss my grievances several times and was put on hold but have gotten multiple requests to respond to the service. Due to my medical condition I was not able to move my belongings. A friend drop the key off at the office for my mover to access my locker. When the mover got to the office they couldn't find the key but happily let him cut the lock.They even supplied the tool I would've been happy to give my permission If they had called me, after all how did they know who he was. I emptied my my storage unit C224 on December 27 and advised the office in person, before departing, that it was empty and no longer required. The front desk person acknowledged my comments and said they would send a employee to check it. Subsequently I wrote an email advising the manager, Tina Pender that the storage was no longer required. Yesterday I got a call from U-Haul advising that my rent was 3 days late. My only suggestion would be to implement a company rate to promote repeat or long term usage of the storage facilities. As a Senior Move Management company, I rent lockers on a regular basis for my clients. When I was at the front counter inquiring about my unit, the staff member was not very helpful. I asked where was the unit located and got the answer "I think building 1". When I finally found the unit there was a lock already on the door. I went back to the office and asked about it to the same employee he just looked at me. I said it looks like one of u-hauls locks maybe. He then said well yes I put it there. I had to then ask how do we get it removed, he said well I guess I could go out there in a bit. Tina the general manager was very rude and unhelpful. I had rented 30 foot Rv spot for my trailer with the idea of fitting a second trailer there at some point 17 months later i realized upon buying a second trailer that my actual spot was 17 feet when i brought this to the managers attention she did not seem to take action after two weeks i spoke with her again only to be told that she can evict me at anytime and that if i am unsatisfied i should take my business elsewhere which i did the new manager was very helpful and i was refunded the difference that i over paid for the last 17 months i should also point out the front desk staff are kind and helpful the only bad apple there was tina but thankful now she is gone no future clients have to deal with her bad attitude.Peter S. | Expérience générale

I ordered a locker and upon inspection found a dead mouse and numerous droppings within the unit. I asked to have it cleaned and would return in a couple of days to move in. When I returned I was unable to access the main gate and had to return the next day to talk with office staff. Early yesterday morning before I was fully awake someone phoned, identified themself as staff and explained to me that the storage unit was no longer going to be available o n may 1st when it had been booked for. That there were 2 units available right now and I could only have it if I took it RIGHT NOW. I explained that I needed it for 1 month from May 1st as we had rented a 15ft truck with 2 bedrooms of furniture and were moving from the States to Canada.. We needed it for 1 mth while we were quarantined for 2 weeks on arrival, as per the new Covid Health laws. The staff insisted we had to book the truck from yesterday and if we we late moving our furniture out after May 13th that they would give us a couple of days grace. Came back a few days later and I didn't realize what time it was and phone was in car outside and my girlfriend and I were just organizing our storage locker and we lost track of time. It was around 11pm(10pm is closing time)when we finished and I didn't think anything of it. So we locked it up and closed the door. Got in my car to drive out and tried my code numerous times and it wouldn't work then we called uhaul phone number provided on google maps and it took an hr to get the gate opened. Finally the staff got it opened and we went home to bed. Next time we went was a few days later and my code didn't work and it was locked I got punished with a only during store hrs access. That sucked for us cause we both work long hrs and have kids. I tried to talk to manager and she was rude, short and unprofessional with very poor customer service and she wouldn't bug on the rules. A few more days go by and there was another lock on my locker provided by the manager for apparently smoking and leaving garbage. I called she was rude, short and unprofessional. But also kicked me out with 48hrs notice. Before the end of the month. So now we have to find another place to store stuff for 7 days till we move not very helpful to our already busy schedule. It has really put us in a bind financially and a waste of our time. 1 mistake and 1 cigarette but in the hallway near the door to exit the building and we get evicted.
