I have used this location many times and the pair that was there for years ran a clean efficient location. The employees there now seem very disinterested in anything. Sat for 30 minutes as no one arrived to hook me up, no one in the office seemed to care. When I returned the unit 1 hour late, was going to charge me twice the rate until I reminded him that I waited for 30 minutes because no one was here to hook me up. Service at this location has gone from 10 to 2.Nils O.

Service was too slow, I was greeted quickly but then it took a very long time before they gave me a trailer. Then I was sent outside and told there is a person out there who will help hook up and do final checkout. I waited and waited... finally I had to re-enter the office and interrupt the agent who served me, he was serving another customer. Told him no one is outsude, he said he would come out in a minute. U haul can have better service from staff to renters. It felt like none of the people wanted to service me when I came. Their attitude was what do U want with action like just sitting their not asking what I'm here for, smiling, explaining the rentals situation. Too the guy that was there in charge of checking cars. The girls were better but didn't directly contact me The only highlight was a girl when I came in like 1pm she has brown hair that was tied, big mouth and she had way better service then the dude in the morning. She told us exactly what we asked and explain to us clearly ups to her. Promote her Thanksamy T.

Was initially told I couldn't book for more than 12 hours, and had to do 2 separate rentals and drop the truck off both times. Made the bookings over the phone, and a week before the move called back to find out that they did to 2-day rentals, but couldn't reserve the truck I already had reserved because it was overbooked, even though I already had it reserved both days from 9am-9pm. After my move, I dropped off the truck 10 hours early and the bar was just barely below what it was given to me at, at I was instructed to put $10 more into the vehicle to avoid a $60 charge, for what was a needle-width difference. Will avoid in the future.Dave W.
I generally have a good experience with u-haul but time it was sub par. I made a reservation at this location online because the trailer I needed was available and they are open until 7pm. I was called from ANOTHER location, they told me that I had to come earlier as they close at 5. My reservation was arbitrarily change to another location. I logged back in to my account to verify that I hadn't made a mistake and rented from another location accidentally. This was not the case. The reservation I made was correct. I had many plans in place all revolving around the rental of this trailer. I was told that there was no trailer available a the location of my choice now even though I was able to make an additional reservation for the same trailer at this location. I was still told that there was no trailer available. I asked the employee to physically check which he did and I was thankful for his help. Magically there was a trailer available and I was able to rent it from where and when I needed it. Organization was not good at all.Nik B.

The U-Haul representative contacted me at 6PM the night before my move date to tell me that my pick up truck reservation could be met. Giving me very little time to make other arrangements for another truck rental. I had to take a cargo van instead because I had no time to make other arrangements as U-Haul called me so late the day before my move. The impact is that I could go into the under ground parking in either location (Moving out and moving in Condo) so I had to use the main entrances at both locations making much extra work on my behalf. I will not recommend this location to anyone as the guy who called me the night before my move had ZERO empathy to the situation U-Haul put me into and did not even try to accommodate me and basically said cargo van was my only option or cancel which was not an option. They never offered me anything for the situation they put me through. I paid full price for my rental..........never even offered me the dolly for free. Anything offered would have shown me they cared about my business. Never again at this location and I will never refer anyone!!Tracy B.

The manager at this location is not suitable for his position.He needs some serious training and then monitoring at least. I have rented multiple tarailers for extended periods of time,year by year at this location.My trailers have been returned on time. but unfortunately at this time I could not return it on time as my family was unloading it and the next day it was locked up and I could not return it the trailer as it was locked up and the tenants in the basement suite were in front of it..Uhaul called me and I called them back to explain.The manager was put in the phone.He mentioned the upcoming reservation.So I communicated with him my situation with no avail.He then started threatening me.First He told my that I violated the contract by disconnecting the trailer.I have never been verbally told I could not disconnect my trailer.So I read the contract and did not see this mentioned. Then he said the customer was coming from The Fraser Valley and was promised a reservation and that he needed to go to the states with the trailer.So I had told him I booked a trailer the day before in Surrey and it was told it was not available.I had to go to Langley to pick it up.so I understand what they were experiencing through experience.He then unprofessionally threatened me that if I was not back in an hour I would be charged $200 dollars.And then he told me to comment to a time of delivering the trailer.I told him that as soon as I can get it back I Will bring it back and pay any fees.And I could not guarantee and commit a time as I do not think it was fair to mislead the customer to an undeliverable.time.He kept on pressing me in a timeâ€¦So I told himâ€are you an idiot.Do you not understand that I have always delivered my trailers back on time but am unable to do soâ€¦He hung up.I called backâ€¦No answer.I have rented trailers to the point that I should probably purchase a trailer.After this conversation I was ready to pull out from rentals period,and considered canceling my 20'x20â€ storage which I have been rented for years.What really pissed me off was when I returned the trailer and personally witnessed a customer beside me who wanted to rent a trailer being told by the grumpy manager before even renting the trailer that if he returned it late that he would be charged $200 above the rental.I have rented all my trailers from this location but will never go back as long as this liability manager is around.He needs some serious training and monitoring if he wants to be a manager.I appreciate Uhaul and see this location going down hill from my view as a business owner myself.Please revive this location so I can go back to rent the selection of trailers available. I booked for 24 hours. Confirmed it. Then day before picking up truck they decide to give me 19 hours. Was to return it next day at 1. Got possession at noon. Sooooooo stressed by your company. We had to change a lot around to make it work. They had us between a rock and a hard place. We needed a truck to move. I am not happy at all. Your company made me almost have a panic attack. Talk to your reservation people. I was crying a grown ass woman and this is what u did to mekris P.

when I was to leave the u-haul location I noticed the fuel was below 1/4 tank. Had them switch vehicles however the second one was also about 1/4 tank. When I returned it the lot person inquired about this to which I commented this was how it was when I rented the vehicle so this is where I refilled it to.Gary N.
The guy I dealt with was so poor at communicating and quality of customer service. Not very helpful, colouring on a sticky note while helping me, not really paying attention. Upon getting vehicle no staff to help me locate it, it was filthy dirty including windows. No staff did a walk around. When I returned Emanuel looked in back of truck and rudely said this is unacceptable. I took pictures and showed to gentleman inside and he said it looked great. To get a final receipt it took 45 min. Computer glitch they said. Uhaul was charging me 2xs the amount on contract. Terrible experience after driving all day and have this experience. Confirmed reservation for Chilliwack pick up. The night before at UHAUL closing I get a text advising my pickup was now in Langley which I had already been dropped off and paid for hotel in Chilliwack. Now it cost me an extra 4 hours of my time and an additional $500 to get to Langley and switch hotels as I wasn't going to backtrack first thing in AM as I was scheduled to move that morning out of Chilliwack. I pick up the truck in Langley and was told to load the extra equipment myself .The staff was anything but helpful or friendly. I did a walk around and everything appeared ok for a beat up old moving truck and to make sure I wasn't scammed in paying for old damage. My trip was approx 760km and that vehicle drove like you were on washboards with no balanced tires . no A/C in the thing and it was 34 Celcius out. I doubt the vehicle was even road worthy but we made it. I will never rent a UHAUL ever again out of the Lower Mainland , nor will I recommend it to anyone.Curtis K.

Staff were great, but the reservation system was horrible. I reserved a truck and did the pre arrival check in online. When I arrived the truck I reserved was not there and instead I was only able to rent a van. If this was the case, what is the point of the online reservation and the promise of having my reservation ready?Yuan C.
I was told I had 1/2 a tank of gas, instead when I got into the truck and did the inspection it had less than 3/8ths and I effectively got scammed out of 30 dollars of gas in the truck. Next time I either will not use this Uhaul location or I will instead make one of their reps come out with me while we do the inspection before paperwork is done. Poor work.Liam M.

The U-haul reservation system failed. I got a text message to a booking far from my house. Drove there on a Sat morning to find a small auto shop with no truck. Called after that and eventually got a truck in 20km from my house. Service from this supplier was great! Not sure why I had to drive 20km when there are four (4) U haul rental places in the town I live (0km).Glen S.

Sadly it's the worst customer service I've ever seen! The staff does not want to help, they are not happy and they are helpless. The staff and lot boy are very sad to work there and I'm never going to this location nor am I recommending this place ever! First and last I asked to speak to manager, and they said no one was around! The staff said they give all rentals at 1/4 tankâ€¦ okay if that's the rule, I'm never going I rented a 26' truck and a truck this size should be FULL!! I don't want to go the fill up twice at this size We struggled to find a truck with more gas but I still got one less than 1/4 full and I wasted my energy and rental time of 1 hour I rented for 1230 and was out by 130 sadly Worst service I've ever seen in any businessNazmeet Singh P.
My bad experience was with the staff and their customer service. The minute you call you're put on hold and forgot about for 20-30 minutes and either hung up on or a staff member just saying um ok and not dealing with the issue. The manager is the same way with no compassion or anything. It took over a week and me getting mad to deal with my issue. I had to go to head office for the langley staff to even do anything. Staff was not friendly, they had the attitude that they were better than the customer. Also once the contract was done, they told me to go out to the lot and take the lock off the back of the truck and get the key from inside the box. I got lucky finding the correct truck as they didn't even tell me how to identify what truck I was looking for. Then the name that the combination lock was incorrect or just didn't work. So back inside which when I told them the combination was not correct they told me to wait until they were finished doing what they were doing, just to finally come out to see that the combination did not work after they tried for five minutes. Then they when to give me a new truck witch then took another 20 minutes to change the paperwork. All in all it took over an hour just to pickup a pre-booked rental. Very poor service.Norma B.

I called the office to discuss my grievances several times and was put on hold but have gotten multiple requests to respond to the service. Due to my medical condition I was not able to move my belongings. A friend drop the key off at the office for my mover to access my locker. When the mover got to the office they couldn't find the key but happily let him cut the lock.They even supplied the tool I would've been happy to give my permission If they had called me, after all how did they know who he was. I emptied my my storage unit C224 on December 27 and advised the office in person, before departing, that it was empty and no longer required. The front desk person acknowledged my comments and said they would send a employee to check it. Subsequently I wrote an email advising the manager, Tina Pender that the storage was no longer required. Yesterday I got a call from U-Haul advising that my rent was 3 days late. My only suggestion would be to implement a company rate to promote repeat or long term usage of the storage facilities. As a Senior Move Management company, I rent lockers on a regular basis for my clients. When I was at the front counter inquiring about my unit, the staff member was not very helpful. I asked where was the unit located and got the answer "I think building 1". When I finally found the unit there was a lock already on the door. I went back to the office and asked about it to the same employee he just looked at me. I said it looks like one of u-hauls locks maybe. He then said well yes I put it there. I had to then ask how do we get it removed, he said well I guess I could go out there in a bit. I left the office and saw he left by another door and was ahead of me. The unit was clean but to have a light bulb in there would be nice. :(BELINDA B. | Premières impressions

Tina the general manager was very rude and unhelpful. I had rented 30 foot Rv spot for my trailer with the idea of fitting a second trailer there at some point 17 months later i realized upon buying a second trailer that my actual spot was 17 feet when i brought this to the managers attention she did not seem to take action after two weeks i spoke with her again only to be told that she can evict me at anytime and that if i am unsatisfied i should take my business elsewhere which i did the new manager was very helpful and i was refunded the difference that i over paid for the last 17 months i should also point out the front desk staff are kind and helpful the only bad apple there was tina but thankful now she is gone no future clients have to deal with her bad attitude.Peter S. | Expérience générale

I ordered a locker and upon inspection found a dead mouse and numerous droppings within the unit. I asked to have it cleaned and would return in a couple of days to move in. When I returned I was unable to access the main gate and had to return the next day to talk with office staff. Early yesterday morning before I was fully awake someone phoned, identified themself as staff and explained to me that the storage unit was no longer going to be available o n may 1st when it had been booked for. That there were 2 units available right now and I could only have it if I took it RIGHT NOW. I explained that I needed it for 1 month from May 1st as we had rented a 15ft truck with 2 bedrooms of furniture and were moving from the States to Canada.. We needed it for 1 mth while we were quarantined for 2 weeks on arrival, as per the new Covid Health laws. The staff insisted we had to book the truck from yesterday and if we we late moving our furniture out after May 13th that they would give us a couple of days grace. This is a HORRIBLE situation and we don't know what to do about it. We need storage from May 1st to May31st!!!Pamela P. | Premières impressions

I moved in no problem in an hr. Came back a few days later and I didn't realize what time it was and phone was in car outside and my girlfriend and I were just organizing our storage locker and we lost track of time. It was around 11pm(10pm is closing time)when we finished and I didn't think anything of it. So we locked it up and closed the door. Got in my car to drive out and tried my code numerous times and it wouldn't work then we called uhaul phone number provided on google maps and it took an hr to get the gate opened. Finally the staff got it opened and we went home to bed. Next time we went was a few days later and my code didn't work and it was locked I got punished with a only during store hrs access. That sucked for us cause we both work long hrs and have kids. I tried to talk to manager and she was rude, short and unprofessional with very poor customer service and she wouldn't bug on the rules. A few more days go by and there was another lock on my locker provided by the manager for apparently smoking and leaving garbage. I called she was rude, short and unprofessional. But also kicked me out with 48hrs notice. Before the end of the month. So now we have to find another place to store stuff for 7 days till we move not very helpful to our already busy schedule. It has really put us in a bind financially and a waste of our time. 1 mistake and 1 cigarette but in the hallway near the door to exit the building and we get evicted.
