Service was great for the gentlemen who helped us. Except for one employee who was being very rude to the one gentleman helping us. The man asked for his help and he was very rude back to him and created a very uncomfortable environment for everyone in the room.

I tried to address a few issues with regard to the truck. Three guys sitting there. They listened but did not seem to care. Their attitude was, well nothing we can do so move on. Also, the truck had to have oil added halfway through the trip and again was depleted of oil at the end of the trip. There was some type of governor placed because the truck was stuck at 75mph which made a dangerous situation in passing traffic and not being able to pass nor pull back in behind because 4-5 cars are on your tail. Very dangerous. There should have been a disclosure regarding this. I have rented from uhaul previously and never had this situation. The 200 cost difference from day to day is ridiculous.

Overall customer service is horrible. Not specifically at the Lehi location but every location. No one seems to know what is going on. It appears that the employees make up excuses and rules as needed to save face. Communication and customer service skills need to be worked on. Every time I called in it took at least 20 minutes to get a live person on the phone. My moving experience was very mentally and physically draining. Moving is hard and Uhaul makes it harder. By the way I am still waiting for my delivery refund from San Antonio.

Douible check truck for damage, current registration and the the headlights work. Double check gas guage as this is the 2nd time the contract was off by a 1/4 tank...i.e. said 1/2 tank but actual gas left was only 1/4 tank when started up.

Requested furniture dolly online and when I arrived, they were all out and was told I could buy one that was in stock on the floor. The truck I rented was not in the spot I was told and therefore I had to reverse it out of the back with no support. I also requested to be able to drop truck off at a different location, but was told I couldn't and needed to bring it back after. Lack of customer service.

Billing/Invoicing was a mess. By the end, I was over-charged (credit card) by 180,84 $, and with the various invoices (some of which did not have correct math), I needed to itemize everything myself, determine the sales tax by reverse-calculation, and then provide the correct total and ask for a refund. Eventually, I had to call another time to get the manager to approve of the refund. Finally, the refund showed up and now I can rate the service :-) Otherwise, things turned out just fine.

See comments about requiring Uhaul to specify and put a drop off location in their computer system. Uhaul dealers can and do routinely not accept returns.

Doug that answers at (480) 352-8330 & (480) 833-0555 is rude & unprofessional. He called me an Idiot when I called his number the second time; I got it the first time from Apple Maps the second from google from a place I just visited. All I wanted to do was report a damaged headlight. He was so rude I drove back down to the uhaul in Mesa to see if he was there & they said he wasn't. They said it must of rolled over to dispatch. They gave me a dispatch supervisors number & it rang & rang then beeped a no voicemail. I hate dealing with uhaul.

First of all, I reserved the truck over a month in advance, and the morning of the pick up I got a call and they said they didn't have any trucks and sent me to another location in Mesa (rather than Tempe) which was inconvenient, took away from time we needed to move, and meant more miles. Then the truck we rented had some type of problem with the gas tank where when you fill it with gas in just comes pouring out from under the truck. I notified the location and they took it our of service I'm sure. So overall, not a great experience. All the staff were helpful, but the experience was poor,

Keep a promise and have the vehicle at the location originally chosen. Hire people that are competent and not like they are hung over or on drugs. Terrible customer service! Ill never use or recommend U-Haul again. Very disappointed.

I made a reservation for 730 for 10 hours of rental. I was late (about 9), and the woman told me my reservation would not be honored because I was more than 30 minutes late. She proceeded to treat me as though I would be unable to get a truck and was inconveniencing her throughout the entire transaction. I even went into my email from Uhaul to see if late pick up meant your reservation would be given away and didn't see that in the I was finally able to get a truck and throughout the day, the lot stayed full of trucks so I'm unsure what the problem was and why she felt the need to be rude throughout the transaction. She also did not give us the utility dolly we rented so we had to go back inside to get it. I would never willingly rent from this location again if I have to deal with that kind of customer service.

I am so grateful to have met Margaret Terrazas at this location. She was so pleasant and accommodating, such an asset to the Uhaul Family. The truck I rented was a little old and both mirrors needed constant adjusting but overall the truck served its purpose. I had planned to rent the truck an extra day but due to an unfortunate event, i needed to return the truck early. Sean Johnson checked me in and was so understanding and personable that between he and Margaret, they really made the entire experience pleasant. Thank you to both of them.

The truck that was rented had 170000 miles, no tread on the tires, the engine was not properly mounted and the whole truck received vibration including the driver and passengers In such conditions the truck should not have been rented for the local move - it generated hazardous conditions as a result A loaded truck in this condition could be a serious hazard on the road Thanks

They customer service at the two locations i went to was terrible!! I ended up going to two uhauls. I made a reservation for a pickup truck, went to pick it up, and was told they did not have one. That's it. No solutions. When I told them that they should and reminded them I had a reservation, they asked if I would take a box truck, I said yes but I'm not paying the extra mileage. So they called to find me a pickup truck. Asked me if I wanted to drive to chandler or Tempe! I said I don't want to drive to either! They then said they had one in mesa. I asked them to cancel. Which was silly, I needed a truck. I called the location I was told had one, and they said they'd have one for me. The woman in the store was short and rude and a little insulting. The only polite person I had contact with at uhaual was the man inspecting the truck when I returned it.

I went to return my two storage units. Rep told me they were too busy to come over to do final check out. He said come back before 5 pm even if we are closed we can do the paperwork. I was there 5:03 they close & refuse to talk to me. Thanks to CS I was able to returned them.

People were extremely rude. 2 Employees were in discussion about the recent Phoenix Suns/Milwaukee Bucs game, another employee was busy text messaging somebody (it was easy to see over his shoulder) and the woman behind the desk was very gruff. It took a little more than 10minutes for people to wrap up their busy-ness to finally get to serving me. When they did they were rude about it to. I will be happy to pay more money at Home Depot for the same trailer rental, just so I don't have to put up with the nonsense.

The employee who checked us in was rude, dismissive and uncommunicative. She did not give us instructions where to find our truck to drive over to the auto transport. She walked out after we paid and signed, got into the golfcart and drove to the auto transport without saying anything to us about We drove our personal vehicle over thinking we were loading it on to the auto transport. She then treated as if we were idiots and gestured to the other side of the parking lot where 15 different trucks were parked. We do not remember her communicating that we should find the space number in the link, only that we used that to fulfill the check out requirement. We acknowledge that it was early and maybe we could have misunderstood/misheard things, but she was incredibly mean and patronizing. The reason people rent from Uhaul is because they do not transport large items often enough to warrant owning their own truck and trailer. I would hope store employees would understand that and be at least a little bit helpful. The transmission of the truck was either on its last legs or completely shot. I was scared throughout the drive but we kept saying “if U-Haul would rent us this truck knowing where we were driving to they would have to be sure that it would be able to make the drive”. We had to pull over to call road side assistance because we couldn't get above 35 miles per hour and were scared to ruin the engine, and be on a 70-75 mph freeway in the middle of nowhere. The woman who answered the phone was very kind and had us push the tow button, after that we were able to get to 55 mph, which was great to be at the speed limit. I tried to call the customer service number after we dropped the car off last night and was on hold for 30 minutes, i tried to call this afternoon and waited another 35 minutes. I tried again after work and was on hold for almost an hour. I hate sounding like a complaining Karen but it was such an awful experience which is why we dropped it off after hours without filling the gas. I really would like to talk to someone but it's hard to find the time to sit on hold for an uncertain amount of time.

This location charged me nearly 900 $for what they claim was damage. i did not cause any damage anf would like to know how to take it to arbitration. My rent payment declined yesterday and the location was closed so I called the 800 number when i found the charge to dispute it. A man named Eric left me a voicemail while I was working saying " There was fresh flaking damage found the next day by a manager. Their new guy originally checked it in and must not have looked up. It was not rented by anybody else so the dispute is denied because the damage was fresh." I had never rented a uhaul on my own before July 2nd and did not know what it entailed nor do I know what condition that truck was in when I took it. I do know that while I was in the process of making the rental that one of the guys there teased the woman who did my paperwork about giving somebody the wrong truck number and that her reply to him was "You've made that mistake more times than me." To which he said "Probably so" then they laughed. I know that I was surprised that the charge was almost 75 $and when I asked her why it was so much she told me it was because of the insurance so I trusted her. Upon return, their "new guy" told me that the extra almost 75 $that I was being charged was because of the extra 12 miles I drove and the insurance. I told him that I had asked for the smallest truck I could get with a ramp assuming it was 19,99 $ per day but he explained that "Those ones aren't just 19,99 $. None of the ones that are 19,99 $ had ramps" then apologized and clarified that the mileage was also 99 cents per rather than the 79 cents I was quoted because it was the weekend. He really seemed to be very capable. When I asked if I needed to sign anything else he told me no, all was finalized, the receipt was sent to my email. That extra 75 $was my fault for taking her word rather than making sure I understood exactly what I had and I'll own it but that was why I was more careful to find out exactly what my balance was when I dropped the vehicle off. I understand now that he was new but I had no idea at the time considering that he had seemed to be the most knowledgeable, detail oriented person to help me thus far. He represented your company and he made a commitment to me. I don't understand how Erick could feel like it is good business practice to just say "Well, he is new and made an almost 900 $mistake so just kidding... nothing he or anybody else said matters, what actually matters is the condition it was found in the next day when the person who will be held responsible for any damage hasn't been around for somewhere between 18 to 26 hours." If he was wrong, it's a shame because he has a lot of potential but he needs coaching that location needs to work the rest out. If the damage was actually there when I dropped it off, I should have been given the opportunity to review the condition the vehicle was in when taking possession of it, just as I should now. It is very disappointing that every step this rental experience was negligent, especially the part that in the moment seemed to be the most redeeming. This entire situation feels completely fraudulent and the money that they took was supposed to pay my rent. If this company refuses to make it right then I will start with disputing this through my bank. If they refuse to help me then I will go to every consumer advocacy group I can find to fight this through starting with the BBB and Attorney General. If that doesn't work then I'll go to 5 on your side and every review website I can find while while working the arbitration process. I genuinely do not feel that I caused this damage and will go to every resource that will listen to fight it.

The lady that checked us in (Meredith I think) was amazing. You should make sure to take good care of her. She was a breath of fresh air after a very long difficult trip. We had pre-arranged a storage unit upon arrival. The office that we worked with on the storage unit was awful. We got there and were told that yes, we did have a reservation for a storage unit but “we are full, so good luck”. He flatly turned us away. He was very curt and unhelpful. That is totally unacceptable to make a long trip with a truck full of our possessions in a new and unfamiliar place and then be told “figure it out. Goodbye.” Who does that? When you reserve something it ought to be something you can count on. We ended up at a Uhaul facility simply because my daughter “figured it out” by searching out a solution on our own. That is simply a flaw in your system that should not exist. Sorry to be a complainer but if it were my business I would want to know. John Mickelson 435-757-9400.

I had submitted a reservation for a 5 x 10 and when I went to get the unit on 6/29/2021, I was advised the unit was sold, leaving me with no unit. I had no choice but to take the 10x 20 at twice the cost. They never offered to reduce the price nor did off any other solutions. I was very disappointed that it was rented without my knowledge. What's the point of a reservation?

Ensure proper check in of u-boxes. My u-boxes were lost for a couple days which was not a good experience for me. The pickup tried to pick up the boxes through the grass, causing damage to the grass and to a sprinkler. My bill shows a remaining balance which is incorrect, so I am hoping the charge/balance will drop, as one add'l month of storage was added to the bill since it appears an extra reservation was added due to improper check in of my boxes.

From the moment we came in to inquire about a unit, to yesterday when we moved out, the crew at Lehi went above and beyond to answer our questions related to their facility, as well as moving questions in general. They were always willing to lend a hand out to my car with big boxes purchased, and gave great advice on products they carry, as well as corporate things like the upods. I will always recommend this location. Merci.

Your front desk customer service representative Margaret at the mckellips location off of mesa dr was awesome and so helpful but there was another male employee at the front desk talking about another coworker which I thought was so unprofessional and rude with us customers hearing it. Also your attendant's at the drop off area at the queen Creek location need training on their customer service and not be so rude and treat us like we're bothering them to bring back a u-haul vehicle and tell us to just leave and tell us everything is fine and they will just email us the receipt of return and then try and charge me a 43 $and 15 $and some change bill to my credit card and when I tried to call to find out why I couldn't get through on the phone to that location and was transferred to the U-Haul customer service line to be put on hold for over ten minutes and no one ever came on the line so I could ask what the charge for 43 $+ was for. I returned the vehicle before 1pm and Left the truck clean. So I need a call back ASAP about the charges.

First I reserved a pick up truck and then I got to the location they said that I needed an "actual credit card" to get a pick up or van which was not disclosed during my initial reservation so I spent 20 $more getting a 10 ft box truck which I didn't need. Thanks for the truck though it was over kill but did the job.

Everything was easy and smooth booking the room and getting the access codes. However, it stated online that I would be provided a free lock for the unit and it would be inside the unit. It wasn't there and I had to go back home to get a lock which wasted some much needed time.

The facilities were clean. The staff however were rude anytime I spoke with them at my location. If I was 1 day late they locked me out and called my friends non stop almost to the point of harassment. When I called the facility the person that answered says hi I'm going to put you on hold. So, I always remained on hold no matter when I called. I'm sure other stores are fine but the people at my store were rude

Well one thing I was upset about is I had a reservation for a 5 x 10 x8 climate control and got there and was told first come first serve. So I had no unit then was told they had a10x20 and it was outside now I would have to pay 163 a month not happy at all. All of my families stuff fill a corner of the unit. I would love a Unit inside and some kind of discount cause that's what I reserved and was told was waiting for me. We drove down here all the way from Maine to help my mother out cause she is ill. So money for us is tight and to jump from 78 and change to 163 is going to hurt us. So if it can be fixed we greatly appreciate it. Thank you so much. Paul M.

It drives me nuts when the lights go off some there is no way to keep them on when working for a while. You might be wasting more money by trying to save money. Fluorescent lamps cost for turn-on, not duration, and customer becomes unhappy.

I've been a resident in the Scottsdale/Mesa area for 60 years and this is by far the cleanest, best maintained and well managed Uhaul's in the valley. Eric and his staff are terrific! I would highly recommend this particular storage facility to anyone looking for a safe, secure, clean and well maintained facility for your storage needs and I would definitely return to this Uhaul for any future storage or rental needs if necessary. Very ate up! The manager was very Rude to customers, 2 people had reservations on the app and the store never got any information on it. The roll up door of the unit is so weathered it barely rolls up or down. Definitely not worth the price for a run down small storage e we which is managed by rude and unprofessional people... the trainee was awesome and helpful.

when I got everything in Pensacola Florida smooth, but when I got to Arizona the drop off spot that's when it all went bad. I was not treated like a customer and I was even threatend by some U-Haul employee who was very rude and thought I was going to have to protect myself physically bc how this guy from U-Haul was very aggressive with me and I don't think a paying customer should be treated like that. Another employee on East main Street sent me on a wild goose chase with wrong addresses to U-Haul storage locations. Out of all the associates from U-Haul in Arizona there was one who knew all about customer service and his name was Anthony from your U-Haul on 219 E McKellips Rd. Maybe Anthony should teach the rest of your team on how they should treat paying customers. Plus I did have a witness with me to verify everything I am reporting

Staff was very rude and supervisor wasn't very pleasant either. I was treated very poorly and also locked in the gate after hours and had to threaten to call Mesa police and fire department to get let out after almost an hour. I will never come back to this location!

I've always held Uhaul in high esteem. It is my preferred choice for any moving services. I repeatedly had great experiences with this company. Not only have I been a customer numerous times, but I was also an Authorized Delear for Uhaul with at least 17 to 20 trucks at a location I moved away from.In my time running a Uhaul services, not under any condition have I treated any customer with the irreverence they gave me. I trained my employees how to speak to customers with dignity and respect, no matter the situation, the customer will always be treated the right way. They need help. Upon my arrival, I immediately did not feel welcomed. I did not feel the hospitality that I have always received from Uhaul's great customer service. The employees did not seem to care in the slightest. They have no regard for customers' concerns. I asked Margaret, one of the employees, if they had a lost and found because we were missing boxes with our belongings. She quickly responded with a "NO." I would not be complaining if she had only said no, but she further said, "ME PERSONALLY, IF I FOUND A BOX OUTSIDE, I WILL TOSS IT IN THE GARBAGE AND THEN WRITE A NOTE HERE." We then asked for the general manager hoping that he could be a little more helpful than Margaret. I asked the same question and he said "RIGHT HERE" and pointed beside him where there was nothing. I felt utterly disrespected. That is not how you handle customer service. They had an immense amount of attitude at this location and they don't seem to care about their customers and concerns. This wasn't the first time I had a terrible experience at this same location. They had the same inferior attitude and inattentive work ethic when I was checking in my equipment and getting a storage unit the first time I arrived. The general manager Eric didn't seem to care as well. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!!! Go somewhere else that will give u respect and treat you like a valuable customer.

The price I paid for a small unit was excessive. I was paying 69 $+ for a no climate control. Then it was raised several dollars more. That was the last straw I was paying 63 $for a climate control and same size storage bay previously when I lived in Laveeen last year. You might want to adjust your pricing.. just suggesting!

Maggie provided information regarding location of our RV site, how to access (via access card) and hours of access to the storage facility. She let me know that for a small monthly fee, we could have access 24/7. I passed on that option as I cannot imagine a situation where we would need to park or access our RV after the standard access hours. We tried the card and it was noted that it may take a few hours until it was activated. I was provided with a temporary code so I could go to the site and have any questions addressed while I was still on the premises. I took a look and confirmed that there was a dump station as that was important to me. Maggie was kind, helpful and provided excellent customer service. I would recommend this Uhaul location to friends and family.

I would like to thank you for your time and consideration into my storage rental from UHaul. Your decision to allow me to clean the storage and remove all the item for a zero balance was beyond gracious of you and your team. I have no words other than it was extremely appreciated and you have blessed my life more than you realize. I lost my Dad a few months ago and my partner lost her Mother 3 weeks ago. Between funeral arrangements, funeral expenses, travel, hosting family during those hard times and also home schooling kids ... it's been financially, emotionally and physically draining. I am a responsible person and accountable for my past mistakes and not taking care of the storage was always on my mind (rather, mistakingly trusting my ex to take care of it)... which I thought she did. All in all, thank you so much for your generosity and allowing me to clean the storage. You removed a "brick" of stress from my shoulders and I will need to pay it forward somehow. Eric, your Agent Maggie was amazing. We had an uncontrollable event where the 20' truck we reserved was not returned to the location as scheduled. We were offered a 15' truck but weren't sure our stored belongings would fit. Maggie searched every local location for a truck for us and was able to secure a trailer (free of charge) to make up the difference in cu sq ft. She also added an extra day and mileage. The trailer was at another location and the dealer there flat out refused to give us the trailer unless we paid for it. In the end, made the 15' trailer work (hubby is great at Tetris). Maggie again came to our rescue the next day when my husband was checking out and closing the storage unit contract, which was in my name. She authorized the closure which we very much appreciated. Maggie went above and beyond our expectations, she deserves recognition as a valuable asset to your location, Eric. Thank you.

To many stoopied roles to just rent a storage unit. To much Reddick less paperwork. U have to wate forever to get assistance, I had one customer ask me if any budy worked t here. The guy who cheeked me in was a jerk. They wonted 3 peple as resfersonce. I don't know anybody, so I was forced to lie just so I could rent a storage unit, pretty sad. And a big company like u and u don't give milatery discount, now that's really bad, just out for the money huh?

Overall excellent very satisfied, however on the day of move out, there was an awful smell starting in the elevator which smelled like something had died. Placing mice traps can be a good thing but if one has been caught in a closed storage; how do you get them out if the person does not come for days to notice the catch. I'm confident you will be more consciously aware and carefully consider the safety in which all your patrons can stay healthy while in your establishment, since the Covid-19 has scarred us to a panic please keep cleanliness a priority.

The only problem I had was when I called back to actually rent the unit and was on hold for 15 min only to be transferred to a customer service rep (someone named Juan) who told me I had to come in and sign a contract even though I had already spoken to someone who was ready to make the deal over the phone. The customer service rep spoke to me like I was an idiot and didn't seem to want to help me. It's all good though because I called back and got another individual who was more accomodating.

My experience was horrible. They rented me a unit. We walked to the unit it had already been rented. The card they gave us didn't work either. I had to finally take an outside unit. We drove over there and all the paperwork directions were wrong so we had to figure that out to even find the unit. They said they could put me on a list if an inside unit would come available but that it was a very long list and I probably wouldn't get one.
