The self check-in was difficult and almost impossible to navigate. I have used it before and struggled then as well, and I am exceedingly good at technology. I cannot imagine how the experience would be for someone who isn't good with tech. I was also frustrated that the website let me reserve equipment that the store did not even own, specifically the furniture dolly. I specifically reserved two so that I could move a piano, and I ordered furniture blankets for the piano as well. Since I was not given the furniture dollys that I reserved, the blankets I ordered were useless and did not even leave the plastic bag. When I went inside to seek help from an employee with check-in, she was curt and less than welcoming. I did not expect a red carpet and champagne, but a kind greeting and a smile would be a step in the right direction. However, the employee who inspected the truck when I returned it was SO much kinder and more helpful. He had the process done in a snap, and I really appreciated his professionalism. I have a cross-country move coming up, and I have to say that due to this experience, I will be shopping elsewhere for a moving van rental.CIRADESSA P.

The older lady from whom set up the rental was curt and at times rude. One example was refused to help document damage to the trailer and if had listened to her demand to just accept the pictures they took, cause me to be responsible for the severe damage. If she hates her job so much she has to take it out on customers, why is she working there? I have used this location a number of times since it was opened and this is the first time having an unpleasant experience. I am not going to let a rotten apple ruin the whole barrel.ADRIEL R.

UHaul is horrible. Rating is a negative five! Customer service does not exist. Had to go to this location after someone gave my reserved truck to someone else this morning at another location. I rented a vehicle that was out for maintenance so I couldn't get the keys. Thankfully there was someone available to assist me with getting another truck during business hours. There weren't locks on the back of the trucks like the process says so it gets a little confusing, if that could be explained that there is a different process than what is outlined online with check in and returns it would be amazing. Was bait and switched vehicles was supposed to have a regular van at 0,79 per mile. Was forced to move to a larger truck due to credit card situation. On website larger truck was 0,89 cents per mile. Was charged $1,09 per mile difference was over $30.00. Mileages are way different from day to day from website to on site!! Truck had service engine soon light on. Staff did not greet when came in. If I was 1 day late they locked me out and called my friends non stop almost to the point of harassment. When I called the facility the person that answered says hi I'm going to put you on hold. Well one thing I was upset about is I had a reservation for a 5 x 10 x8 climate control and got there and was told first come first serve. So I had no unit then was told they had a10x20 and it was outside now I would have to pay 163 a month not happy at all. All of my families stuff fill a corner of the unit. I would love a Unit inside and some kind of discount cause that's what I reserved and was told was waiting for me. We drove down here all the way from Maine to help my mother out cause she is ill. I've been a resident in the Scottsdale/Mesa area for 60 years and this is by far the cleanest, best maintained and well managed Uhaul's in the valley. Eric and his staff are terrific! I was not treated like a customer and I was even threatend by some U-Haul employee who was very rude and thought I was going to have to protect myself physically bc how this guy from U-Haul was very aggressive with me and I don't think a paying customer should be treated like that. Another employee on East main Street sent me on a wild goose chase with wrong addresses to U-Haul storage locations. Out of all the associates from U-Haul in Arizona there was one who knew all about customer service and his name was Anthony from your U-Haul on 219 E McKellips Rd. Staff was very rude and supervisor wasn't very pleasant either. I was treated very poorly and also locked in the gate after hours and had to threaten to call Mesa police and fire department to get let out after almost an hour.
