Travis did an excellent job. I reserved a 4'x7' trailer as I needed to move a 275 gallon tote to a client site. Unfortunately the 4' trailer dimensions were actually 39" on the width and the tote is 42"x46". I managed to wedge it in as it was empty and swapped the trailer out for the larger 5'x8' trailer thanks to Travis and the team. I was able to safely move the tote, secure the load and return everything ahead of schedule. Definitely would recommend their team in Lemon Grove.

I ordered my truck to be picked up at 5am with the 24/7 pick up. when I got to the location and tried to verify my account it failed and said I have to wait until the store opens to get my truck. I had to wait until 9am. that's 4 hours of my very hectic move day wasted. I didnt finish moving until 11pm because of the 4 hours wasted when i should have been done by 7. i am in the military and know many people moving around. uhaul is not the place i will be referring at all.

I signed up ahead of time online. My reservation was changed to online and I still had to go inside to check in again. Not happy with online service. I could have checked in by walking in to begin with. Not sure why system changed me to online check in.

The first trailer we looked had a tire on the left side second axle that was cupped really bad and was starting to crack. I asked for different trailer and it was perfect. The guy who got me set up very professional.

Originally I reserved 8 ready to go boxes at the U-Haul of city heights location and got an email back saying my reservation was dropped down to 4 boxes because that was all they had. Then when I finally showed up to get them, I was told they don’t have any at all, and haven’t had any for about a month at that point. So my contract was canceled and I was refunded and referred to the lemon grove location. When I got to the lemon grove location they had plenty and I said I wanted 8 but no one there knew how to reserve the ready to go boxes on the system. After about 20 minutes of people trying to figure it out, they decided to just make a contract with me reserving a furniture dolly and said they would fix it the next day when someone that knew what to do cane in to work. It never got fixed because I got called every other day saying I need to return my furniture dolly. I explained the situation every time I was called and said I wasn’t bringing them back until the actual due date. When I actually brought them back, they found he boxes in the system but the price was wrong. I had to go to U-Haul.com myself and show them the advertised price. A really bad, very unnecessary experience all around. Not something I would ever want to deal with while moving ever again.

The girls behind the counter were extremely annoyed to do anything and the guy's phone was not cooperating with the Uhaul app so we spent some time there just sitting and waiting before he said I should go inside, where the ladies spent a lot of time calling him via radio to get the necessary info.

Store is poorly staffed so there are long wait times compared to other stores. Although staff needs additional training as I wasted close to an hour to get my truck they try to do with the resources they have. Bad review for management. I almost walked out of the store after they told me I couldn’t rent my truck with them and then someone stepped in and told him the rental had already cleared and I should be ready to go this when I was already so frustrated I was walking out...so if the other person doesn’t catch it I would’ve been charged for the rental without even having taken it..... additionally they charge $25 or so extra and make you call on the phone to pay secret charge. Never will I come back or recommend anyone to use U-Haul again

The general manager handled my reservation and had me out of there with a pick up quickly. I have no complaints with customer service, availability, appearance of the store, and the return was fairly easy also. My only issue was with the cab of the truck it appeared very clean but I was surprised by a few insects. I've rented from Uhaul many times and have never had an issue like that before so hopefully it was a fluke that will be quickly resolved.

Management permits homeless to live in units. They pretend they don't allow it but they don't do anything to stop it. I moved out of the unit with belongings filled with roaches. Just terrible!

Check out the equipment before giving it out. The appliance dolley was so worn down that when you locked it it would easily give way and lose the tension had to use my own strap but if I wouldn’t have had one that would have been a problem.

I registered for the car trailer by phone and then went to pick it up at the Lemon Grove location. Upon arriving, all of the information given over the phone had to be input again and it took a half an hour for the person to do so and then had to give a second phone number of friend/family member, luckily some one else was there with me or I wouldn't have been able to rent the trailer. Should have been told this was needed over the phone when I reserved the trailer.

They lady that helped me seemed annoyed about everything. She didn't really engage in conversation and Kept cutting me short when I was in the middle of explaining something. Then got mad that my daughter didn't have her phone on her then got bothered again about some else. The whole atmosphere just felt tense as soon as we walked in. Plus there was someone's child there that belonged to the person that helped me I believe. I'm not really to sure who's child it was but he was yelled at by the woman helping me. The Moral seemed very low. I wasn't even greeted when we walked in the business..

Rented from this location twice in one week...5 stars for staffing...pickup trucks are dirty outside and inside. The first time I found empty cigarette boxes and miscellaneous items...second time truck was dirt and dusty and when i open the door spider webs all on the inside, inside the cup holders behind the seat...inside was very dirty in both cars...i can understand outside because weather lately has been rainy but the inside smh....pathetic....please keep the pickup trucks clean...some people have spider phobias and i dont know what kind of spiders made them webs but if it was huge and came out while i was driving I would have literally freaked out....back tires are very worn out needed to be changed a long time ago...that can cause a accident.....if you dont care for the trucks properly how are we suppose to trust your business....cleanliness is close to godliness....afterwards i couldnt help if wonder if the cars get serviced regularly....wjen the last time any pf them cars even had a oil change

I was LIVID when I learned Uhaul will not let you leave their place unless they can call someone who will be able to contact you in case their equipment is lost. They tried to call 5 people, with phone #'s I supplied, for at least 20 minutes before someone answered. The guy at Uhaul said one time, a customer had to wait 1 hour before a contact was reached. Needless to say, Uhaul will incur a poor review for that requirement alone. Uhaul needs to make people aware of that when they email the confirmation. I plan to Yelp that when I have time.

When droped of the equiment, I was really on a rush to my next appointment and it has been great with staff just to send my receipt.. but the gentleman was not sure how to fill the form.. and I had to leave when I was not given the ok. The new store manager has the location running faster and easier than the few times I have used this location before. Pick-up was quick and easy... drop off was even easier.

When we went to pick up the moving truck. It was 3/4 low of oil. They didn’t even check to see if it was ready or okay for me to rent it. When I was trying on the freeway the red light for the oil came on my dash and I had to stop almost in the middle of the road. I stopped and called and ended up putting my own oil in. In the future please check your trucks before you rent them.

The customer service here is just below average but not bad enough to make me not come again if I’m in need. The service is extremely slow and the building is not well maintained . Check out was fine and I called to extend my service which whomever helped me was clearly clocked out or on something . Lastly for check in again service was extremely slow , and the gentleman checking in my truck did not seem knowledgeable at all. In the middle of my check in the building security alarm went off and it was a mad house and guess what ?! More waiting . I would not reccomend this location to anyone ever .

Trailer with ramp was over booked. I was called the night before that my 7am pick-up time would not be ready until 9:30am. I arrived around 10;25 and saw the a trailer with ramp leaving and no other one with a ramp. waited in line for about 20 minutes and my reservation was not honored. Lucky for me their was others without a ramp available to use but I am disappointed . Other then the overbooking the employees were great.

Mine was got a caro trail 5’x8’ but I realize wasn’t the right size and when I called to see if I could up grade to 6’x12’ & only Pay the difference. When I walked up to check in the truck I wasn’t greeted. The person checking the truck ignored me in favor of circling the truck with a clipboard. He also asked my sibling if he was in training with Uhaul, didn’t notice or ask if we were together. I had to introduce myself as the customer. He then let me know I drove 15 miles over and asked to charge the card on file with no explanation. I had to ask for clarification and found the experience odd. Wouldn’t return to this location or refer. Probably the worst experience I’ve had with Uhaul since 2003.

The female receptionist was slow, impolite and stated that she would cancel the order and that potentially I would lose the reservation that I called and asked for 4 days prior because of an issue that she tried to blame me for. When I made the reservation I specifically spoke with a male representative at the office for my specific needs and a price and quote was given at that time. I think that the reception staff needs to provide a better customer service not blame a customer for an issue on their end. Very unprofessional and delayed me over 45 minutes in order to rectify .

When I checked out the van, the staff said the gas tank is 7/8 full. I didn’t check it when I started driving. And I found out it only had 3/4 tank fuel after I left Uhaul. I refilled it back to 3/4 tank before I returned, and I told the staff the tank had only 3/4 tank instead 7/8, but I was still charged with the fuel fee. Unsat.

I reserved a vehicle transport trailer for one way drop off and got a confirmation that the equipment was available. Upon arriving at the location I was informed that the equipment was available and I paid the fees. I proceeded outside to have the vehicle transport trailer hooked hooked up to my truck. Then the rep confirmed all information on his screen to make sure it matched with my contract and the vin/serial number for the vehicle transport trailer did not match. He then notified the rep in the office and the equipment I was suppose to receive was not at the location. They had no other vehicle transport trailer so this equipment had to be disconnected from my town hitch. The rep called 'traffic" to locate me the equipment I reserved. He located another location that was 12 miles out of my way. Upon arriving at this location the rep informed me that I would need to pay again as the funds I paid at the one location was for that store and he was not informed of the situation. After calling the customer service number on my contract I was informed to contact traffic. The rep and I called traffic and the rep at traffic proceeded to transfer the information to the City Heights store. Once this was completed the rep at the City Heights location connected the equipment to my hitch gave me directions and apologized for the mix up at the Lemon Grove location.

Please, please, please let people know that you need a secondary contact. Let them know on your websites, on your registration screens… anywhere you possibly can. I’m a pretty good customer and I was fairly upset at the counter this morning and I had to call six different people because I was unaware of your nationwide policy. The guy before me was very upset and yelling at your employees. You are doing a disservice to your local employees. I get the policy just publish it better before we are at the counter early in the morning.

Huge Uhaul location, nice staff, although super crowded, no special lines for reserved trucks. I waited 15 minutes in line, was out of the door 30 minutes total. Crapy truck, front plastic cover of bumper fell in Uhaul parking lot, 133,000 miles on it! $119 at the end. It’s time to give up those appealing $ amount that nobody ever pays!

Better website inventory management would help. According to the UHAUL website, I was able to rent the trailer from a ovation close to my storage unit. The next day, I received a call stating that the requested trailer was not available and that I would have to come to another location to pick up the trailer. I wasn’t a big deal, but I did have to drive to a more congested and further location.

They were under staffed and had no functioning forklift. My U-Boxes had to come on 3 separate trailers, taking up way too much space and making the unloading process much more difficult.

You all don't seem competent in what you do. The fact that I had to talk to the manager to point me to the right unit and that we had to get another manager to remove the extra charge is ridiculous.

Drop off requirements don’t match the dates in contract i.e. when contract says final day is 5/5 you must return vehicle or keycard by 5pm on 5/4 which pushes customers time frame.
