All staff has been great to work with. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone looking to rent storage or vehicles. Jacob, the manager has been great to work with. He has employed and trained a very competent and great staff.
MICHAEL R | Expérience généraleWe had several bad experiences with the final cost as we were told several times we would not be charged an additional day if we returned the following day by midnight. That was not the case in reality so we filed a dispute and management was very understanding and gave us the refund in good faith. Jacob really understands customer satisfaction due to clerical error and got is the refund immediately. Overall, the wrong was corrected very professionally and they took note of the feedback to take corrective action so that their employees don't mislead the actual cost of renting and return time period. Highly recommend Jacob with his critically thinking and customer centric work ethics.

Matthew SI had a great experience here. The two staff members I dealt with were relaxed but professional. I had a few basic questions and I was given clear answers. Check-in at the end of the day was simple and that guy was good too. It was a long day but at least it started and ended easy.

We moved cross country from Washington state to Wisconsin. 6 boxes fit most of our goods from a three bedroom home with large storage shed full of xmas stuff. They recommended 5, I new that was not enough, 7 would have been perfect. We don't have children but we have xmas, halloween, camping gear,grill,wheel barrel and such. The measurements are SMALLER in the inside due to the design. Odd they were designed that way as an average couch and such may not fit. We didn't take ours so it didn't matter. To many moving blankets! 24 in each unit. 1/4 of one box was filled with unused blankets! Don't lose them, they will charge you if you even miss one they told me. Delivery, pick up, storage, final delivery went great! Had to cancel delivery 2 times due to weather conditions, just call before the 48 hours and they just switched the date. All good there. Main storage building in Wisconsin was good, got our boxes out for us two times so we could get things out. Very nice people there. All in all I recommend the U-boxes. p.s. Not sure if paying 100+ a month for insurance was a bad idea, I called to cancel it and waited and looked for the code to be sent, they never did. I didn't press the issue as I found a house and was getting ready for final delivery. Still miffed about that.

STEVEN GThe one drawback is that it is a large, 2-story facility with one (1) freight elevator. Granted everyone is not moving in or out at the same time, but I arrived with movers on the clock to empty two larger units on the second floor, and the freight elevator was being repaired. This should not have happened. You need to have at least two freight elevators for a facility of that size so if one is in repair there is at least one working. The elevator was fixed within a short while. Nonetheless, you need two freight elevators for that facility. The service elevator, which we used for a few things was waaaaay too small to be a functional alternative. Otherwise, it was a great place to keep my things secure and dry.

It was a little sticky, but given that it was -5 with the windchill any kind of cleaning product wouldn't have helped put the heater in the truck worked well and that more than made up for it. This cold it was a lifesaver today much needed, and appreciated the service at this location workers were friendly and knowledgeable and efficient given that I didn't pre-order a truck very happy with the service part

KEVIN LThere was a mix up in the area of the drop off. However the manager understood what happened and realizd that it was the u-haul attendants fault. It could have been really costly, but thankfully he understood and left it go.
KEVIN KThe cargo van was fine, but, no one removed the snow from the windows and when I asked them to do it they said they don't have anything to clear the windows. I'm a 63 yr old female with hip arthritis and I had to struggle, in the cold, and so it myself with a car sized snow brush!
JEANNIE MPick up went without a "hitch" - the drop off was a little bit difficult, as the employee at the drop off location was late in getting in and we didn't have a way to contact anyone as to what we needed to do.

GREGORY DTruck box was not clean. Dirt, mud on floor. We also had to hunt for our vehicle on the large parking lot. The counter clerk indicated it would be in one location, but then said that if it wasn't there, we would need to search for it. There were approximately 100 vehicles on the lot. It would have been nice to have important documentation presented at the counter, rather than texted to me - AFTER I was on the road with the vehicle.

MICHAEL KAir freshener in the vehicle the no smoking sign did not work for some people and the smell was repulsive. Had to put my own freshener in. But other than that the vehicle was clean and drove like a charm! Will definitely return!

Very frustrating having to wait around for the pods to be delivered.

JOHN FI reserved a 8x4 trailer without insurance and the team in the office had to upgrade my equipment to 8x5 and did not tell me there was a difference in price. They added the insurance without asking and added my old car which I do not own any longer. Worst experience with Uhaul ever.

KIT KI explained the problem and was told, this typical Uhaul protocol. Just clear the codes and send you off. If the problem persists, or gets worse, call roadside assistance. Sounds like... not my problem. I am not sure I would return to rent another vehicle. No one wants to take responsibility for lack of maintenance and putting customers in very bad situations. I can't blame the 2 works at this location if this is how Uhaul handles its customers.

ROBERT MI have been to Uhaul many times in the last two months. We moved from Door County to Waukesha. I made many purchases at the Sturgeon Bay store for moving supplies. I also had help with my trailer lights. After my move, I had lights added on my Subaru at your place on Sunset. And I rented a trailer for the day. My entire experience with Uhaul was "A1". At both places the staff was polite and professional. I am 80 years old and I sometimes find young people who don't treat elderly very well. But the young men and women at Uhaul are first class. THANK YOU for always treating me politely and professional at both places.
TERRANCE JDon't expect a sense of professional pride in the workers. And go in with both eyes open. It's not fun to be told one price on the day you make a reservation ($.69/mile) only to pay another price ($.99/mile) because the rental takes place on a weekend. It doesn't represent a lot of money on a local rental, but it definitely feels off. Get it in writing. (But will the Friday --"weekend"-- workers be able to honor that?) And when you pay for a local rental, you have to pay for a 24-hour period of time. If you tell them you'll bring it back sooner, you don't get a discount --- but they might reserve your rental for someone else before your 24 hours are up. And then they have the nerve to tell you, "You need to return it by xx AM at the latest, because someone else has reserved it." "But it's mine for 24 hours." "You need to bring it back by this earlier time." This is company policy, so the workers don't seem to have authority to do much besides tell you what to do. So go with your eyes open and maintain some lower expectations.

MICHAEL RThey rent you damaged equipment then charge you for damage you didn’t do, they didn’t do a walk around to inspect the equipment or explain that you have to do it through a text message, and all of this after their employee who helps you hook up to the equipment tells me to stop backing up after I had already hit the hitch with my vehicles bumper then takes a picture of the trailer all hooked up even though it wasn’t hooked up correctly

MICHEL RMy only complaint is minor. When I dropped the truck off, the man in the store said I had to sit outside at a picnic table to wait for my ride. Not trying to be picky, but the lady outside originally had said I could wait in the more comfortable area inside. Would have been nice sitting somewhere without the sun shining straight at me.

This is just cleanliness preference.

I've been really impressed with the customer service in the four locations I've used, three in TX and one in WI, and Jacob and his team were particularly great.

The app doesn't tell you that you need to come in, it just says processing order. This U-Haul location is nice and the employees are very helpful, just the app needs some work.

We rented the truck in Gaffney, SC and returned it to the Les Paul Pkwy facility in Waukesha WI where I rented a storage unit. UHaul personnel at both facilities were top notch, friendly but professional. Storage unit area is very secure, well lit and clean. Well done.
