I reserved an appliance dolly, showed up to get it and was told they didn't have any. The point of a reservation is to RESERVE an item. Why take a reservation if the items are really first come first serve?

I have rented trucks from this location before and have never had a problem with the service until now. When dropping off one of their 8' trucks I was met by a taller man not wearing a mask. I had asked him before entertaining if he had a mask he could wear. He looked at me lost with no response. I then asked the front desk if the associates that work with "check-in" didn't have to wear a mask. I was again met with no response. Instead of putting on a mask the tall man demanded that I just throw him the keys. Being already in an uncomfortable position I then tossed the rental keys to him. At this point I was met with the response "you need to check your fucking attitude" from the man responsible for checkâ€in. Due to how severely unprofessional his response was I expressed this to this locations management. He then decided to defend the man saying that he had had a rough day. There is no excuse to unprofessional behavior. Because of this situation I will no longer be bringing my business to this or any U-Haul location.
The man who helped us went above and beyond. I didn't know my size box truck didn't have a ramp. He switched me to one that did last minute. Made the move so easy!
Took a little long than expected, but not too bad
In short, U-Haul's 24 hr / 7 days pick up & drop off via mobile phone app is an abysmal failure, nothing more than marketing lies. The U-Haul Android app failed to take the required pictures and prevented me from returning the equipment. All necessary permissions were enabled, the device was restarted with a power off/on cycle (not warm reboot), and the u-haul app uninstalled & reinstalled with the same results - clicking on the in-app button to take the dashboard picture didn't do anything. The devicee camera did work properly outside of the U-Haul app. This resulted in a call to customer service which is woefully understaffed and a wait time in excess of 20 minutes to speak to someone. The first rep immediately transferred me to another department, adding another 10 minute wait in the parking lot. The second rep was unable to resolve the U-Haul app problem but she did make every effort to accommodate my return. She was not responsible for the app problem and terrible customer experience, she was the only positive part of the event and I appreciate her professionalism. I wish I could say this was unusual however in mid-2020 the app prevented me from picking up my reserved vehicle and the call to customer service was repeatedly disconnected and required nearly an hour to speak to someone, with no resolution.

The link for the pre rental check out of the equipment didn't work right and didn't allow me to take picture of pickup truck condition.
I rented right after the holiday on Saturday and there was limited staff or under staffed for a Saturday. Wait time was longer than I expected so altered my plans for the day.
Exceptional experience EXCEPT for allowing storage entry to those unmasked. I understand it's difficult to enforce, but more effort should be put toward enforcement. NO ONE ELSE at the very busy loading dock wore a mask.
Manager Greg is outstanding, but other staff lacking. I know Saturday morning is busy, but the staff seemed in no hurry to expedite any customer. One person even eventually walked out. If possible, it would be great if y'all could find a way to enforce mask-wearing. There was another female staff member who was great in assisting us with getting the latch to our unit to close properly, but I can't recall her name. The above mentioned manager and female employee, and the security and cleanliness of the storage facility were all that warrant 4 stars.
They sent 2 confirmation emails and the morning of I got there and they did not have a trailer
Nothing major, but I'm pretty confident that our truck wasn't inspected before we got it. The fuel was only at 3/4 a tank and there was no tags on the equipment. The staff was very friendly and understanding though which was great.
This was a convenient location and the facility was clean and well organized. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't all that helpful. I was the first in line to drop off on a Sunday morning, as I had a drop off time of 9AM. I had to return some straps I had purchased in Richmond, so I went to the front desk to return the straps and the truck as well. The rep at the front desk was not very helpful, but did process the return of the straps. She told me I would need to go outside for the truck return. I went back outside and the guy there told me to just give him the keys and he would process and send a confirmation. A few hours later, I received a charge for $64.00 for an after-hours drop off an extra day charge, when I, in fact, dropped off during business hours and on-time. I called back and they location gave me a credit for the $64.00 charge, but the experience wasn't the best, especially given the great service I was given at the pickup in Richmond. I would probably use another Uhaul location in the Dallas area in the future.

The gas tank should should have been full when I picked up the truck since I was told to return it full. On the bright side there were no complaints when I returned the truck with the same amount of gas as when I picked it up.

I was 2 miles over the amount of miles they thought I should drive. I returned the truck a day early. While it was less than one dollar, this was a bad takeaway with me. It's the kind of thing where I might spend a little more time looking at competitors.
I turned trailer in 23 hrs after I rented it. Received a call 2 days later wonder when I was going to turn it in. I thought it strange that the lot attendant told me (after he unhooked the trailer) that I was good to go. Nothing more needed to be done.

Need to add a reservation feature to your self-serve pickup program. I arrived and got halfway through the checkout process in your app when the U-Haul employees took the truck off the lot and took it in for maintenance. This added 30-40 minutes to my pick up time to get sorted and could have been avoided by adding a reservation system.

Everything was great except the female customer service rep was a bit rude and sarcastic. I didn't get her her name.
The staff were terrific. The truck was parked extremely close to another truck and there is no way I would have safely gotten it out. The employee, I did not get his name, backed it out like an artist. He would not accept cash when I tried to give him a tip. He is a valuable asset to UHaul.
Not sure what the hold up was, but every customer in front of me at check in was taking an extremely LONG time to get what they needed. I had to wait well over 30 mins to get the trailer. I had done all the pre sign-in on line which I think saved a bit of time.
Mgr was very rude when I had to call on an issue
All went well with my rental. The pickup truck's trailer wiring socket had some issues so they rented me a 10 ft box truck instead and matched the lower per mile charge of the pickup truck.
Don't have customer drive back to the location where they rented the vehicle. When folks rent in different states and location and don't have to drive back to the state they rented from or city.
The person working the front desk was extremely slow
The booked the appliance dolly with the truck, but the dolly wasn't available. No other option was offered to us, so we had to buy de equipment for 1 time use. Additionally, the staff didn't seem to know what the stores sells.

I've rented multiple Uhaul's and this was by far the longest I've ever had to wait.
Charged $20 extra because I wasn't able to check the truck in on my phone. I will not be using Uhaul again!
This facility and rental site are poorly managed. I moved my belongings out specifically so I wouldn't have to continue paying for inadequate service. I won't use Uhaul storage or moving trucks in the future because of my experiences at this location.

YOUR COMPUTERS THE EMPLOYEES USE ARE SLOW AND WORN OUT IT TOOK ME 45 MINUTES TO CHECK OUT BECAUSE THE COMPUTERS KEPT FREEZING UP . THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPEN TO ME THERE . PLEASE FIX THE COMPUTERS

The website is horrible they give you a price but it doesn't give you everything so we need to actually pay for your reservation after being told you have no deposit and you don't have to pay now it's $300 higher when you go to make your payment my original quote was for $1,225 I end up paying 1719
Price is a little high for the size of the units. Could have rented else where for less - but I have had success here prior so I trusted you again with my stuff. Thanks
I had a last minute need for storage for some furniture and was able to go onto your website, view available storage units, and book a unit. We came inside the office on our first visit just to make sure we were all set and didn't need to do anything else. We didn't. We've been to the unit a few times now and it has been really convenient.

I’ve been trying to get ahold of someone in the office for sometime now. When I went in the man at the counter didn’t know what to do so he said he would call me once he knew the answer and he never did. I emailed the manager several time and he never responded to me.
Dale ( I think that was his name!) was a huge help! He contacted me before my Ubox was going to be picked up, and I was able to store a few more items before it was shipped! The Ubox was ready and waiting for me when I got there! And it has arrived in Lubbock Texas today!

Had an issue, one employee told me that I could pay for the storage for the whole month and if move early they prorate and refund me the unused portion, but than was not true.

As long as we have lived in Lewisville (some 18 years) this UHaul has been our go to for storage and truck rentals. They are personable and very service minded, which is difficult to find these days.
I rented a trailer and had a storage until. Both were clean and in top shape. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Above all there was never any waiting.
