Needed a box truck, but they didn’t have any of any size. So I got stuck with a van turned two trips into like seven or eight. Wasted a lot of time, money, and fuel due to the extra mileage. Smh wasn’t easy on my wallet. But, still the best UHAUL place in town and the only one I use.

I was GUARANTEED a 26' UHaul at the 4235 E State St Location at 11:30Am. I got to the store and they said my appointment wasn't until 12pm. I then received a call saying that they will not have a 26' at that location and that I needed to go to another location to get a 20'. This caused me to make an extra trip and use more miles. Very unhappy.

Original pick up location was set for Sycamore Rd, Dekalb, IL 60115 but was called by dispatch to tell me that the truck I reserved a month and a half in advance would not be there and I would need to drive to the new pick up over an hour away from my original pick up location telling me that reservations are first come first serve and that there was nothing he could do. I had to ask about self pick up so that I could make up time that I was going to lose to pack the truck. He set up an appointment for 7:30 and said that I would be able to pick it up as long as I was within an hour of my appointment. When I arrived to the location at 6:30 am, I was unable to pick up the truck because it was not set up the day before for truck share. I was informed by the app that my appointment was changed to a hand delivery and I would have to wait until 9 am. I called the 1-800 number on your website to which I was told that there was nothing I could do but wait. I waited until 8:15 when one of the attendants came in to start checking in returned vehicles, he brought out the key and one of the dollys I rented and was told that I would have to drive to another location to pick up the second dolly. This experience was the worst I have ever had when moving. I will never recommend UHaul to anyone ad will hire a moving company from now on.

The door to our trailer would not close. We had to drive it back to the rental location. We were given a larger trailer since there were non of the same size at no extra cost.The employees were very helpful and very kind. Great service!

The truck was dirty inside and someone else’s contract was still in the truck. This could be an issue having someone’s personal in another persons hands, but it proved that the truck was not cleaned. The staff is very nice at this location and work hard on making sure people are taken care of.

Uhaul was fine. Truck ready to go. Had to return it late because the "moving helpers" I contracted did not show. First text from them was wanting to move time back an HR. Explained I had limited time with truck and needed to get started. It was raining ?? so they wanted to push back further. Ultimately, they said take it or leave it. If I was not ok with late start I could hire another contractor. Ended our conversation, no moving help. Company is 1995 or some #. Don't hire! ..Uhaul was good about getting truck back late!

Have more employees to service customers. One person was running around doing everything from waiting on customers to handling the rental equipment outside. All this while the manager was in the back servicing another vehicle. There was no one else available to help and many of the customers, including us, were very frustrated.

The systems were down on the date and time we were to pick up the truck. The associate apologize and gave us a call when the issue was taken care of, which was 4 hours after our pick up time and by then we found alternative method and booked the truck for the next morning. The truck we did receive the next day had a leak in the roof of the bed and damaged our mattress during the move. When we drop off the truck at the end of the day and stayed the problem they apologize about it, we received a discount on our rental and another associate was already on the way to fix the leak even before we left.

Make sure that when you lock in the reservation that the truck is in a location that is applicable to the customer. Additionally it would be great if customer service would do what they said they would do. And make sure your customer service representatives are competent and able to help your customers.

don't give them the run around! I got the email stating the truck I rented was at the location I rented it from. Than a day later I got another email stating I had to go to another U-haul location that was going to add 100 dollars to the bill. I called again don't remember the person I talk to but he was very rude and not very helpful plus he hung up on me!! I just don't see how your company runs, If you order from a location a week ahead of time that truck should be there and not have to go else where!! Not happy with be screwed for 2 weeks trying to rent a truck and move my stuff in!!! Plus I didn't get my truck from here!!

I felt the experience of getting the Uhaul rental was a good one. The staff were very helpful with renting the equipment and clearly explained the policies and drop off instructions as it was returned after hours. I felt the service was very good and no improvements to suggest at this time.

Its kinda crappy that you use a vehicle for a whole 25 miles and have to put over 21.00 in the tank because someone didnt fill it up properly before han. The clerk told me that i would see a credit for what i actually put in the tank when someone else didnt do it right and i got charged for the full bill. When like i said the clerk said the amount of fuel i put in would be deducted from the amount of my bill.

I was disappointed when I returned the truck, they charged me a 15.00 dollar cleaning fee, I have no idea why, when I first got the truck and opened its back door I could tell that the previous renter got mud or dirt in the back and looked as though they swept it out but you could see the film left behind, I guess u haul figured they'd charge the trucks cleaning to me instead of the previous renter? And that's not cool, besides that I guess it was ok.

Was charged $10.35 for gas that what they say was less than what I had when I picked it up, but I feel it was exactly at the same level as when I picked it up, too much for each locations inexact interpretation. Make all trucks start with a full tank and then need to be returned with a full tank, making it more exact. Feel this was just an extra money maker for the dealership, as I know they didn't add that extra $10.35 back in my rental truck.

Horrible service. Waiting around for 20-45 minutes each and every time I have to visit. Worst off, they charged me an extra $60+ for fueling fees even though I filled the damned truck OVER what it was when I rented it. The storage at this facility is a joke too! They ALWAYS have the drive up door blocked with trailers and other crap that they have PLENTY OF LOT SPACE for. Funniest of all, these fools are expanding, opening more businesses, and they can't even manage the rinky dink buildings they already have! DO NOT GO TO THE FOREST HILL LOCATION! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

When you know you are going to be busy, scheduled pick-ups and drop offs, schedule a parking lot attendant. Last Friday afternoon two agents on duty. For either a drop off or pick up the agent has to leave the counter to work with the customer/check the equipment help with hook up. Much of the time no one was behind the counter. I saw at least one walk in customer walk out when I was returning my equipment.

Cupholders needed some cleaning but everything else was otherwise clean and well-prepared--overall great considering especially that it was a day-of reservation (had a plan change on me last-minute), and I really appreciated even more that they could accommodate me on a holiday, too.

I would reccomend answering the phone when someone calls, fixing the brakes and reverse lights, changing the wood panels in the truck, and making sure the dolly is strapped down securely before giving it to the customer.

Made an appointment and was told it would take an hour. They told me the book calls for a half hour installation time, so I figured and hour would be plenty of time. I came back an hour and a half later and still waited another 45 minutes. I was on an hour lunch from my jod and was gong two and a half hours, that's ridiculous customer service.

The young men working were not friendly. I would not say they were rude, more like they had no personality at all. I attempted to make light conversation with them while they were processing my rental and no response whatsoever! Not even a smile. And when they did speak they were very mono-toned with no smiles at all. They were not rude but they certainly were not welcoming either!

I have serious issue with the equipment and expect the manger of the site to call me to discuss the outrageous charges and the terrible condition of the equipment. I was able to complete my move and I appreciate that and expect to pay for the move, however when I requested a review of the truck conditions and the bill I was charged full price plus a cleaning fee. All of this after I requested when I picked up I requested a newer, low mileage truck in better condition. All I want to do is discuss the matter.

The guy on the counter takes advantage that he had a wife in front of him. Hi charged the price twice for the insurance ($16 in state of $8) and when my wife called me said no problem I will charge you the usual $8, but on final bill he forced for $16 ! above that the trailer was disgusting, had broken glass, dirt, sand, Lego, SD disk and other small stuff inside. I HAD TO CLEAN IT BEFORE AND AFTER USE TO NOT BE CHARGED THE $15. A real scandal. This is a bandit method !!!!!! Also the trailer was in general poor condition.

I was told the vechile had a full tank of gas. It did not. I drove 22 miles and put in 4 gallons of gas. When I returned the vechile I showed the clerk a photo of the the starting miles and gas gauge. He said they round up to full if it's between and 7/8 and full. Full means full in my world. The clerk didn't give a damn, just repeated this policy. I told him all I needed was an apology. He said he could not because I talked down to him?? Wow.

I had set my appointment for 9:30 this morning and booked the u haul for 8 HOURS. I needed to make several trips today to get everything moved. But for some reason I was only booked for 4 hours causing me to have to return the u haul before finishing. Now I will have to pay AGAIN to move next weekend. Also causing me to have to keep my apartment for longer then needed. The person I spoke with was rude and didn’t care that they made a mistake and wouldn’t rent it out any longer. I will not use your location again.

When I reserved the van I told the clerk I would need to rent a utility dolly too. When I came to get the van they did not have any dollies left. Created much trouble for us. Extremely frustrated with the customer service at this location. I had many issues just with trying to get boxes before the move day. They gave me the wrong size hanging bars for 4 wardrobe boxes I purchased and another time neglected to tell me the dish saver pack boxes were separate.

I was told that I would be able to keep the truck till 11am the next day and when I got to the store they told me I have to have it back at 7:30 also the same person I spoke with told me it was a 1.00/ per mile I get there it’s 1.19 they blamed it on the call center. Communication was lost somewhere between the two. Bad customer service
