Never could get in touch with facilities staff without going up to the site, which is not on the lot of my storage facility it is 6 miles away. That information was never disclosed when I set up the rental over the phone.

I had a issue with patents, I had an old card that was being charged and my stuff was tagged and going to be auctioned, thankfully we figured it out and I was able to pay the balance and after my lock was cut off and a new one added on their part, it was all sorted out and I was happy to get my belongings and bid U-Haul a farewell. It was a crazy, anxious time for my wife and our stuff , especially paperwork for the kids that was irreplaceable. Needless to say, it all worked out in the end.

There was no information regarding parking or where to enter the building. I saw some garage doors but had no idea if they were to be used or what. I ended up moving out online without having ever moved in just because It seemed as though accessing the building was always going to be a problem.

It was a nice experience, I was going through a divorce and I needed a safe, secure place for my items. If I need help again, I will not hesitate to call U-Haul.

Great customer service Manager Chris and his staff very professional, patient and very helpful. The only issue I had was I reserved a appliance dolly with my rental. When I went to pick up the initial rental of the 9' van at 3pm. I was told unfortunately they rented all out earlier that morning. What was the point of RESERVING something that was available at the time of the reservation to get there and it's not available. So that means you gave someone else the dolly I reserved for me. So being patient I requested for the dolly to be reserved for the following day for pick up at 1pm. At which time I was returning the 9' van to upgrade to a 10' truck. Again to my disappointment all appliance dollies were rented out again....after I had reserved it a 2nd time. After expressing my disappointment I was promised and guaranteed that an appliance dolly would be available for me to pick up on the 3rd! Attempt. With complete let down I find that when I called ahead to confirm pick up of dolly I get again the same fustrated news that no dolly is available. They customer service alone was absolutely great. They fail to keep promise with reservation x 3. That is why I give them below average rating. As far as customer service and professionalism they are above average 4 star.

At first I thought the location was too far from my new residence, however I discovered that the traffic at the Pearce St was minimal and I only had one time when I had to wait for access unloading. I had previously used a U-Haul Storage in Sioux Falls, SD prior to my location here in Milwaukee. Both facilities were clean and accessible. I would certainly recommend U-Haul storage. In this relocation I used both a U-Box Container and a U-Haul Truck from Sioux Falls to Milwaukee(two different U-Haul locations here.)

I wanted an exterior storage unit but got an interior instead. I ended up having to load stuff off the truck little by little before I had to load it onto an elevator that kept closing on us and made us fall behind on our truck rental. Uhaul needs to be more specific on where the unit is and if an elevator has to be used or not. If an elevator does have to be used, it should be something for the customer to push to be able to hold the door open so it doesn't close every second to slow u down

I was expecting an in person on premises employee to preview the space. The signage was not clear about what or where to go.I finally figured out it was all online. Once online it was very easy. Inside of the facility was a disaster with garbage and random items piled and strewn everywhere. So a very mixed experience.

One loading door was left wide open upon move out, giving direct access to anyone. Elevator wasn't working the first day we checked in. The original unit we were given at the office was being used by someone working there to store ladders and cleaning supplies. Whenever we tried calling the office, it was busy or was put on hold for 20 minutes (tried before move in, during move in, and for information about checking out.) So when we had to call about the locker not being available/locked, there was a wait time and had to just drive back to the office to let them know about this issue. Staff tried the best they could, but that's a lot to manage and I feel like they have a lot on their plates. Would never want to work there as a staff member and will not be going back to this particular U-Haul unless it had major repairs.

By far the worst storage unit place I have ever been apart of. First they overcharged me double for my unit and when trying to resolve the issue went in circles till I finally recieved a single email from the manager in a three month period. Secondly, they forged my signature onto a new contract that I have never agreed to. Still trying to get into contact with someone who can resolve my issues months after It has occured. By far the worst place and would never trust them again.

I never got to move in my unit wasn't available at any location, I keep getting the run around about my refund and online it said I get 50 dollars if my unit isn't available and I never got that either.

These guys helped me out in a bind when the Walker's Point location didn't have what my reservation stated. Whomever helped me out was great! Definitely unorganized and communication lacked, but I know that things are a bit stressful.

When I reserved the space it said there would be a lock in the storage unit. There wasn't. Asked the worker for one. She didn't have any told me to go to the facility in state street. Went there. They also did not have any so I had to shell out $20 dollars for a lock. Thank you uhaul

I first tried making a reservation online, which the website kept messing up. So I called to do the reservation. The agent/employee had no idea as to what to do. After an hour I finally got a truck and storage unit reservation. However, on the day I went to pick up the truck and get my storage unit, the details weren't correct. I was sent to another location totally out of the way and when I got there, that employee said my rental for the storage unit was in someone else's name. I was given such a run around and what should have been maybe a 15 minute ordeal turned into several hours!!! It was like no one knew what they were doing at all. I've rent trucks from uhaul many times and it was never that complicated. I'm not sure if it was because this reservation included a rental for a storage unit which I've never done, or what it was. I was not happy one bit with my service.

The staff that the storage was very helpful the staff at 2020 state Milwaukee wi was very rude the manager will never return your call I will never spend anyone to that location.

Bring back face to face customer service. Make sure that the associates that work there park there vehicles on the street, since the area that the truck I picked up is extremely narrow. Give more training to the associates. I WAS TOLD whem I brought back the truck to leave it the same way as I got it, this was done when I talked a person over the intercom. A few hours after I dropped the truck off I called uhaul since it bothered me that I was given the wrong instructions. Good tbing there is a camera showing the time I returned the truck. The associate I talked with said she took care of it for me and was surprised by what I was told. We will see when my charge bill comes in if it was taken care of.

There are no system in place to prevent ppl from taking a storage you have paid for. Even if you found out someone was using the storage you have paid for. There's no system in place to get that person out and you in that storage unit in a timely manner. Only system in place is to move you to a different storage unit. Which means time and inconceivable inconvenience on a clients part to travel back and fourth to switch units, only to find out more units are taken even though they showed available in u-hauls system!

I rented my storage locker online and that process was very easy and convenient. My issues are, 1- online it doesn't explain nor show pictures of how the measurements work for the lockers, that would be very helpful because the height of my locker is not big enough and I now have to get a different one. My 2nd issue is when I rented my locker online there was a promo for rent now and get the lock free with the locker, it clearly stated that all I had to do was go to my locker rip off the green tag open my locker and my lock would be in there, simple easy move in. Well that wasn't the case because my locker didn't have the lock in it as stated and showed in the video in the email I received. So now I have to find time to go to the office for my facility which isn't in the same building as my locker its at an actual Uhaul store and explain all this to them and hope they give me my free lock. THAT is very inconvenient and not an easy move in. Especially since I had a whole load of stuff to move into my locker that night and couldn't because I didnt have the lock for it. So maybe the staff should double check and make sure that there are locks in the lockers when they get rented out.

The young lady did not have the current knowledge or updated information before she went to space out to me, and because of that I had to move my things to another location which was on a second floor level and there was only one elevator in the building and it was blocked so it took a lot longer than we anticipated. It was a very frustrating experience.

This particular storage facility is very far from the customer service office. I thought that I could do everything at the storage facility. The thing that saved you a poor rating and me pain and money on movers is Jenny and Diana at the facility. They went above and beyond to fix my confusion and difficulty quickly. However, I still had to go back far to the state street office to rent the lockers. You did not have the size I reserved but gave me 2 small lockers that were a little restricted in space but luckily fit. Jenny and Diana were so helpful. The store was rather slow and should have noticed that I reserved a locker when I rented the car. Also the app did not work for me very well either to rent the truck.

I was amazed with the security of the the storage facility. With the correct code a person can only go to the floor that their storage unit is on that is double security because no one else has no need to be on a floor different than where the storage unit is and I truly like that thank you for your service to me

I had it scheduled for 9am and didn't get the Uhaul till 10am due to no one being on site. Had to wait for the manager to come from another location. So we waited outside in the cold until about 930am. I reserved the uhaul 2 days before and it should have been ready when we arrived. On the plus side the Manager was very helpful and Nice to us.

They had roaches on the main floor Then I was moved up to the fifth floor in the fifth floor also had roaches it's a whole infestation and then on top of that my container on the 5th floor got shot up through the window because some people on the bridge of 35th was doing a shoot out ( 5 bullets shattered 3 window ) they shot the windows outs. Then I was blocked out of my unit for a week straight. This is just a horrible business location and it isn't being operated properly with the infestation that have in this huge building. I do not recommend.... Horrible Stay.

It was not clear how to get my truck picked up and the app was not very responsive. Wasted my time getting the truck picked up and there was no one on site to help. Then the gas tank was only half full. Wish I had paid attention to that before claiming the keys. Not worth it or helpful on this move. Won't use this u-haul again

got to the facility and was never informed that it was all self service and i needed to go to another location to check in. the. after waiting to finally get a storage unit; i go back to the facility and the u it i was issued was already being used and locked. took me another 1/2 hour to get someone on the phone to correct the situation. never an apology or anything, plus i had to upgrade to a different storage unit than i reserved due to not being told i would need to climb stair with my belongings to make the unit work. very unsatisfied with UHaul and would DEFINITELY think twice before referring or utilizing your services again.

Unit wasn't ready. Two different managers listed for after hours assistance (neither work there anymore). Drove all the way from Chicago to Milwaukee and wasn't able to move my things into the storage. Now doing covid response nursing with all my belongings in my car. The next day spoke to the GM who was rude and I had to fight for a refund. Terrible service. Will never recommend or store with uhaul

Bad experience. The manager is not present in the office. The warehouse is 15 minutes drive away. Instruction was not clear how to open the storage area. Nobody is answering the phone

Uhaul has totally automated their storage rental process. Where else can you rent a locker online, on a Sunday, check yourself into your locker, and have a free lock waiting in your storage unit?
