There are people living in this storage facility. There is an abundance of roaches and nats. It always smelled bad near my unit, on the elevators and just all over!.

Jalen BEvery part of the process was unnecessarily difficult. We were given the key to a vehicle that was inaccessible, and the employee we worked with gave us a key to a different truck. He tried to just swap it without changing any of our documentation, but I didn't want to be held liable in the event of an accident if our documentation remained incorrect. We weren't given a lock for the truck. When we tried to return the truck with the after-hours return system, the number we were given in the app to call in order to open the gate to the parking area was not an active phone number and we got an error message when we tried to call it. We thought we'd have no choice but to go home and take the truck back the next day, but there happened to be an employee still there after closing who opened the gate for us. There is no good place to park the trucks outside of the location if you can't get the gate open. I have had multiple very good and smooth experiences at this location before, and I was surprised and disappointed by our experience this time. It seemed like the employee we worked with wasn't interested in putting forth much effort, and we had to pry him for key details regarding our rental.

He listens & made the experience so easy I ended up renting a storage unit from them after the one I had planned to was not listening to me & grew rather terse w/ me. I thought Jesus was completely opposite in his ability to think ahead when I rented the truck & was 5 stars excellent. And he didnt pick the priciest because he listened to me. He reminds me of customer service before the computer, friendly & making customer comfortable. Jennifer has hired a great employee but I'm not that surprised because she is like that too. Good business habits should include the positive vibe I get from Jesus & others there. There are few problems in that business that cannot be worked out was how I felt aftr talking w/ Jesus & a few months back w/ Jennifer. So thanks Jesus!

I even forgot my bag in the truck and Jesus stayed past his shift just to make sure that I got my items back. I couldn't have asked for a better employee to have been helped by. He seemed to know more about what I needed than I did. I believe it was Brandi that checked the truck in as they were closing, very nice and accommodating. Both of the employees that helped me were genuinely nice. How often do you get that these days?

She was very personable too, which my boyfriend and I loved, because she had every right to be annoyed with us as customers, but she wasn't whatsoever and that really meant a lot to us. I cannot recommend her and this location enough! 10/10

I was having a horrible day from the movers canceled at the last minute I arrive at me new residence to find out my place wasn't ready. I rented a truck I couldn't use I was in a bad spot. I walked into the the U-Haul on Midtown and the whole staff was friendly. Jennifer helped me get my unit and was so patient with me although I was being a pain in the butt seeing how my day was going. Jennifer made my day . She was very professional and made a difference in my day in a positive way. Merci

BRENDA TThe truck I was given was old and felt unsafe. The door didn't close all the way - it had a gap in the driver's side that I could fit my whole had through and I could see other cars next to me. The truck also didn't see to have much get up and go. It guzzled gas like crazy even when empty - get new trucks already! I wasn't happy that the location gave me the truck with only enough gas to go 33 miles and then told me that I would get a $20 credit if I left it at 1/4 tank. That feels REALLY scammy and like you should be paying me to fill up your trucks for you.

Cole PThe extra charge for after hours return leaves me very dissatisfied, especially when the return is WELL within the 24hr rental window. I had the truck for four hours. I was also told that the location doesn't do after hours when there is still a drop off box. I work and live across town and cant afford additional miles or late fees. I had to return the truck after hours.

Marissa T1. Honor the quote that’s "guaranteed" at reservations instead of inflating the cost and blaming it on state taxes of a state you're not even in. 2.Have the equipment in stock/on property that's reserved online or update your system to show the equipment isn't available.
Staci SI made a reservation for an after hour rental drop off and once I arrived to the location, the person at the counter said they were not taking after hour drop off due to a recent theft at this midtown location . This should have been addressed via a phone call as soon as I made my reservation , so this left me with trying to move in a much smaller time or go to a different location at the time of my reservation with movers waiting on me or rearranging my entire move. A furniture dolly that I added to my reservation was not available either , with no communication whatsoever. I had to bring the truck back the following day which was a huge inconvenience since I had moved across town already. Highly dissatisfied

We have to wait a king time for service BUT you have this wonderful woman, she's a white woman about 38 years old, has a baby (half black) who is the BOMB! She can do it all and with a baby in her hip. She really needs to be promoted especially with her attitude and competence. She makes that location pop, EVEN when there's not enough staff. Too bad I can't remember her name but she's all smiles ans positive attitude. She helps out every time I go. I feel so blessed each I leave the place after having interacted with her. Please give her a raise! She's awesome!

I have been on the east coast since 1/1/2023 my first time to my unit I've been robbed irreplaceable valuables and property. I need my laptop for work and can't work without it! Absurd…. This place is trash. The young lady that helped get the unit was very helpful, kind polite and professional. She was great but the actual facility should be avoided!!!

I have rented there several times over the years and they have always been good, but the current team with Manager Jennifer and Regional Manager Rudy are exceptional. They went beyond expectations to be helpful and accommodating recently when I was having some problems getting my units emptied on time. Really kind people, all of them! Where Augustine is a rockstar, he was so helpful with planning and getting us the unit, to helping with rerouting our truck because it was late for arrival there, to making sure that everything we needed was on-hand. Then the second location where we actually picked up the truck, 1617 San Jacinto where the staff was courteous, friendly, and just over the top amazing to us. And Dalila in Baytown at the North Main location who guided us to both of the stores and set up the entire process for us. That young lady is our hero of the move. I have written a 5 star review on Google for the 2420 Louisiana St location, which if there were more stars to give, I would.

Regarding your facility, I was informed by the employee on duty that my storage rental was not available to be part of the 1 month free rental I was hoping to use. I have a coupon for redemption somewhere on this hideous U-Haul app. I would like to use that. If that's not possible, I'll be sure to use a different truck rental company when I complete my move.

I've had a long standing relationship with Uhaul due to moving quite a bit of due to our jobs. I call that loyalty to the brand, service, etc. There was a high presence of homeless people that lived in the units. The last 6 months it smelled so bad that I had to bring air fresher to even enter. The manager stated it was becauseof a refrigerator that a customer had stored withfood. That's not true. The last day I was getting all my stuff out of the unit the door was broken and the smell was at its worse. While we were there 2 homeless people entered the building without cards. They had a code to enter. The young lady in the office tried to help but i couldn't figure out if she cared or not. Or was it management not doing anything about the homeless, the smell, etc because it was very obvious. So would i recommend this place heck no. I never felt SAFE going to my unit. And that's a horrible feeling because I don't scare easily.

Alice C | Expérience généraleI really love using U-Haul, pretty much the only moving company that I deal with, but for some reason my past experience with you guys was a pretty horrible one. When I got my U-Haul in my car trailer, the trailer did not come with the package that I pay for as promised. I was given the runaround and then eventually had to pay for it when I thought I had already paid for it. I was told that I would be reimbursed a certain amount of money once I reach the state that I was moving to but that never happened. Once I reach the state I rented a U-Haul again and then were overcharged on my mileage. I was then charged two months of storage rent when I had moved out before my 30 days were up. This was the only bad experience that I had with U-Haul but I am still a customer And will continue to use U-Haul for all my moving events.

I was extremely stressed out with moving as my lease was over and my movers were scheduled. My new apartment wasn't ready so I can go last minute make the choice to move into storage for a couple of days. Jennifer could tell I reached my stress capacity as one of her team members were helping me while he was training a newer team member. Access code got us in the gate but wouldn't open the building doors. Received "access denied" a dozen times. No other "check-in" station was available, which was noted on the keypad. Service reps. Said customer service wasn't busy and could help us right away. Didn't happen-were on hold another 15-20 minutes. We were on a tight schedule for friends needing to attend a funeral vigil, so made for an awful experience all around. Also there was no lock in our unit.

Curtis C | Expérience généraleFirst, when we were moving in the maintenance guy broke the sliding door (yes, he told us it was his fault) . When moving out, we hired movers at $109/hour to move our stuff out of the storage unit. In the middle of the move the maintenance guy tested the fire alarms and took down the elevators. We had movers sitting with no elevator service. The office only shrugged and stated "we've called the elevator service". The movers had to finally use the stairs which was more time consuming. When we finished up and left, the elevator service still had not arrived. The maintenance guy knew we were unloading our unit, why would he proceed to take down the elevators? We ended up paying an additional $164 due to that error! My experience with U Haul has always been excellent until this. Not okay!
